    Fisher College

At Fisher College, we believe that college is more than just an education—it's a life-changing experience. For more than a century, Fisher has been changing lives by providing opportunities to students focused on the three most important aspects of a college experience: education, dedication, and life. Fisher is a four-year college located in Boston's historic Back Bay with locations in Brockton, New Bedford, and North Attleboro. The College provides affordable, real-world educations that prepare students to achieve their career goals and compete in today's challenging economy. Additionally, Fisher College is dedicated to the education of our military service members. Fisher College first opened its doors in 1903 in the predominantly working-class city of Somerville, Massachusetts, just two miles north of Boston. The school traces its roots to educational entrepreneurs Myron and Edmund Fisher, who believed the immigrants of that city in the early 1900s should have an opportunity to advance beyond unskilled labor jobs. In 1952, the Board of Regents of Higher Education of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts approved Fisher as a two-year college, and five years later it was given degree-granting powers. In 1970, Fisher gained accreditation from the New England Association of Schools and Colleges and operates as an independent, non-profit educational institution, currently boasting a diverse population of students from all parts of America and many foreign countries. Fisher College improves lives by providing students with the knowledge and skills necessary for a lifetime of intellectual and professional pursuits. Fisher embraces student centered education that creates an independent graduate, who thinks critically and is prepared for the workplace. Fisher provides a unique learning environment, enhanced by experiential learning, through attentive, experienced and well-credentialed faculty. The Fisher experience motivates students to take ownership of their learning by preparing them to overcome challenges and pursue opportunities. Fisher celebrates an inclusive campus culture that values learning and diversity, bringing cultures and perspectives together in a dynamic arena. Fisher commits its entire community to supporting students and promoting intellectual curiosity and lifelong learning, through hands-on experiences in the workplace, and through a vibrant co-curricular experience. Fisher expects that its students adhere to the highest moral and ethical principles, and demonstrates the value of public service through research-based and service learning opportunities.

    Bethel College

Founded in 1947 by a group of Missionary Church visionaries, the goal was to create leaders for the world. In the seven decades that have passed since then, we have succeeded in that mission! While some things have changed on campus, we've continued to be intentional as we guide students along in their spiritual journey and path to academic success in some key ways: Our students' spiritual formation is about creating a holistic approach for each student's spiritual journey and personal discovery. That begins with being faithful to God and his word. Mentoring is a part of the Bethel community where students can connect with their peers, faculty, staff, and even alumni. At Bethel, students build lifelong relationships that will continue well past graduation. Academics in over 50 areas of study allow students to explore, grow, and prepare for their future careers. Each field of study is rich with knowledgeable professors seeking the success of our students. Every fall, students return to campus, ready to grow and ready to engage in experiences that will shape them for their future roles in the world. From undergraduate programs that train nurses to sign language interpreters to musicians to athletes, our students impact the world. Our students are offered many opportunities through task force trips, internships, and, finally, careers. We can offer more grad courses now than in the past through an expanded online program. Bethel offers graduate programs online, on-campus, and some as hybrids. We offer master's degrees in business administration (Online MBA), counseling (M.A. in Counseling Online), education (including Master's in Education Online, a school administrator license, Special Education Licensure Online, Transition to Teaching Licensure Program – On-campus (evening courses), Master of Reading and Literacy Online, Online Masters Degree in Educational Leadership), ministry (Master of Ministry Degree Online), Nursing (, Educator's track and Administrator track), Teaching, Theological Studies (Master of Ministry and Master of Arts in Theology). The experiences do not end when students leave campus. In our Bethel Community Stories section, we share stories about our alumni, as well as reports on current students, donors, faculty, staff, and friends whom we hope to provide inspiration and seeds of wisdom. We are a Christian community of learners dedicated to building lives of commitment to leadership in the Church and the world. Bethel provides liberating academic and co-curricular programs to challenge the mind, enlarge the vision, and equip the whole person for lifelong service. Our goal is to partner with our students and families to connect them with the resources they need to help their dreams become a reality. Your education at Bethel College is an investment in your future. We are confident that your time at Bethel will help you become the best version of yourself, with your future potential to become even more than you can imagine! Financial aid, grants, scholarships, loans – it can be overwhelming and confusing. While there are common steps for every institution for financial aid, there are also some unique requirements. Federal Aid – financial aid from the federal government, is available to help you pay for education expenses. Grants (Pell, TEACH, SEOG), loans (subsidized, unsubsidized, PLUS), and work-study are federal student aid types you must complete the FAFSA to apply for this aid. More information regarding federal aid can be found on their site. State Aid – Indiana residents may be eligible for grants from the state of Indiana to be applied to their direct tuition costs. These grants are need-based, and the FAFSA must be completed by April 15th to be considered for any applicable state grants. More information regarding state financial aid. Institutional Awards – Bethel College awards many types of institutional scholarships and grants to full-time undergraduate students. Awards may be based on merit or need and may be restricted to tuition costs only. Financial aid awards and policies are subject to change—review list of an expanded list of institutional awards and financial aid policies. Students can apply for an alternative loan to cover remaining educational expenses, but most will need a credit-worthy cosigner. Based on the federal government's criteria, students who receive federal financial aid may be selected for verification. This process is designed to verify the financial information provided on the FAFSA. A verification worksheet and federal tax information is required to complete the process. Additional information may also be requested. To be considered for all financial aid, information must be submitted within 30 days of the college's written request. In no instance will verification information be processed beyond the student's enrollment period. All federal, state, and institutional grants and scholarships will post to your student account at the start of each semester, once all requirements have been met. Some grants or scholarships may have minimum enrollment, or housing requirements endowed scholarships often require a thank-you note from the recipient to be sent to the donor. Some federal programs require additional steps to be completed before funds being released, such as the direct loan and TEACH grant. From the original Oakwood-Slater Hall and Shupe Hall for underclassmen to the newer Logan Village for upper-level students, there's a rich history in our student dorms. In your home away from home, you'll build close friendships and always support our Student Life Staff. Bethel College's Spiritual Life is often referred to as the heartbeat of campus. Whether you are in the chapel, the classroom, or the dorm, you will find opportunities to grow spiritually. Three times a week, students and staff gather together for chapel. With student-led worship and a variety of speakers, this weekly practice allows the Bethel community to engage different perspectives and experiences. Our Spiritual Life team puts on events to engage the campus in spiritual practices and disciplines throughout the year. Read through the Bible in a weekend during Scripture 66, participate in prayer stations during the Collegiate Day of Prayer, or join the weekly alternative service, Vespers. Most significantly, though, Bethel College is a community of discipleship. There is a vibrant mentoring program on campus, and staff, faculty, and students all reap the benefits of these relationships. We hope you will take part in this essential piece of the Bethel experience.

They benefit from the University's uniquely comprehensive array of study programs and its strong focus on research. At all stages of academic training, we emphasize the links between research and course content. Our students view their studies as a springboard to a rewarding career, not least because Munich is one of Germany's foremost centers for technology and the media. Academic diversity thrives in an environment that encompasses social skills alongside a critical awareness of values and history. This includes the Munich legacy of the Weisse Rose, the student-based resistance group that opposed Nazism. When you come to LMU, you join a community dedicated to making the most of their talents, curiosity, and opportunities. I am both honored and humbled to be part of this community. LMU Munich has a classical academic profile ranging from the humanities and cultural sciences, law, economics, and social sciences to medicine and natural sciences. The University is divided into 18 faculties and enjoys one of Germany's most adequate library systems. Creative thinking, problem-solving, and research are central to LMU's academic programs. With 2,300 beds, its Medical Center is, next to the Charité in Berlin, the most prestigious and largest institution in Germany. LMU Munich enjoys an excellent library system. Faculty and students also have access to the Bavarian State Library, the Technische Universität München Library, other local and state LMU partner libraries, and the German university interlibrary loan network. The University's library system consists of the Main University Library and more than 130 decentralized libraries hosted by the individual faculties. Its total stock amounts to about 6.5 million volumes. The vast majority of the library system's holdings are listed in the online catalog accessible on the Internet. Whereas the holdings of the decentralized libraries are generally not available for lending, the Main Library houses lending stocks totaling 2.4 million volumes. These include the valuable old inventory of over 3,000 manuscripts and approximately 400,000 old prints up to the publication year 1900, the second-largest in Bavaria's Free State. Students and researchers at LMU Munich also have access to libraries at other universities and institutes of higher education in Munich and partner libraries and the special libraries our University maintains. Since the founding of LMU Munich, the University Archives has preserved archival material from the Board of University Representatives, Rectorate, faculties, and institutes and maintains its impressive University and faculty history library. It is open during select hours for academic research. Researchers are requested to contact the Archive in advance. Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU) München is a public corporation with the right of self-governance within the law's confines. At the same time, it is a state entity divided into a central administration and 18 faculties. The University Executive Board is composed of six members: the president and five vice presidents. The University Executive Board consults with its main advisory board, the University Council, comprised of the University's members and high-ranking and experienced representatives from the private sector, the professional world, and other academic branches. The University Governing Board consists of the Executive Board members, the deans, and the women's representative of the University. To develop competitive procedures adapted to the logic and specific performance of the different subject groups, a system of consultative committees was introduced, the functions of which are defined in LMU Munich's Basic Statutes. The faculties themselves house various academic bodies such as departments and institutes, as well as managing units. In order to strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration, members of these academic bodies can merge to form cross-disciplinary centers.

The University of Bordeaux remains true to its open and humanistic philosophy. This openness is illustrated via the numerous partnerships with international universities (over 1,000 cooperation agreements have been signed with over 500 establishments worldwide). Dedicated programs have been implemented with Japan (Tsukuba, Kyoto, Kyushu), California, Canada (Laval, Montreal, Waterloo), and the Basque campus of excellence, "Euskampus". Students play an active and vital role in university life. They are elected to the university boards (Board of Governors, Scientific Council, Council on University Studies and Life) and participate in various consultative bodies. Students are also involved in the annual appraisal of the teaching staff and become active members of cultural or faculty associations, all contributing to keeping the university "on the move". There are in total over 135 student associations within the university. Thanks to the multitude of study programs on offer, students can design their personalized course of study best adapted to their personal and professional plans. Many courses are designed along with professional organizations, especially in pharmaceuticals, enology, sport management, etc., with professional degrees and sandwich courses and mandatory work experience starting in the first year. Lectures are given in lecture halls accommodating from 100 to 1,000 learners. The professor speaks while his or her students listen and take notes. Professors often prepare summaries of their lectures to help students prepare for exams. In seminars, tutorials, and labs, small groups of students meet to apply or explore the material covered in lectures in greater detail. Attendance is mandatory, whereas attendance at the lectures is not. The system consists of course units. Each UE has a value defined in ECTS credits and corresponds to the number of hours of study (lectures, tutorials, practical work, personal projects). The student must complete obtaining a UE. A full year represents 60 credits or 30 credits per semester. No predetermined set of equivalences between French and foreign degrees is officially recognized in France. Each institution is free to set its admission criteria and make its own admission decisions based on each applicant's background and the program's demands to which the applicant seeks admission. That freedom allows French institutions to compose well-qualified and well-balanced student cohorts while also protecting the integrity and the reputation of the education offered.

  13. Tampere University of Technology (TUT) joined the European Consortium of Innovative Universities (ECIU) at the beginning of 2017. ECIU promotes the internationalization of its member universities and represents their interests at the EU level. ECIU is a growing consortium that currently comprises 12 research-intensive universities. It has a goal to bring members on board from each country in Europe. TUT was invited to join ECIU, as the University enjoys a strong reputation for industry collaboration and has been steadily climbing up global rankings. ECIU is more than a loose partnership between like-minded universities and an essential consideration for TUT. "ECIU is an active and well-organized international consortium established in 1997. All the member universities are expected to serve on its working groups," says Minna Haka-Risku, ECIU's local coordinator at TUT. "Judging by the number of international students and staff and the volume of English-taught courses and programs, TUT is one of the most international universities in Finland. While our professors and researchers maintain close collaboration with colleagues from around the world, it is also important to be involved in cross-institutional networks," says President Mika Hannula. Hannula believes that ECIU membership will help strengthen TUT's international profile. "We are looking to promote the international mobility of our teachers and identify potential partner universities with which to establish long-term research projects. After international tuition fees are introduced in Finnish universities, we are going to see even more competition for talented foreign students, so their recruitment is also a priority," says Hannula. ECIU's coordinator is placed in the University of Twente in the Netherlands. The practical work is undertaken by working groups made up of employees from the member universities. TUT is well represented and has a seat on both of ECIU's largest working groups. One of them focuses on innovation in teaching and learning and the other on entrepreneurship and societal impact. "As ECIU aims to increase students' exchange within the consortium by 20 percent, the member universities are developing customized programs for exchange students. TUT could, for example, offer a tailored package of currently available, English-taught bachelor's courses to students from the other member universities," says Haka-Risku. The members are also working on international double degree programs and an online course on entrepreneurship. Also, ECIU has launched a development program for teachers and education developers. The first implementation round of the program is currently underway, with two representatives from each member university. "To increase international recruitment, we have agreed to advertise all positions that become vacant in the member universities on ECIU's website." TUT has experience of previous collaboration with all of ECIU's member universities. Exchange agreements remain in place between TUT and almost all the members by ECIU's regulations. "UK universities have been reluctant to sign bilateral exchange agreements in the past. Thanks to ECIU, we now have the University of Nottingham as part of our network of potential host universities." Haka-Risku says that a crucial part of ECIU's mission is to influence EU policies relevant to the consortium. To this end, ECIU recently hired an employee to represent its interests in the EU. The sharing of acceptable practices is an essential aspect of all collaboration. "When universities come together to share experiences, we gain new insights and ideas for developing our University. We only have to make sure that the insights are put into action," says Hannula. TUT is located in Tampere, the Nordic countries' largest inland city, some 170 km north of Helsinki's capital. TUT's campus in the suburb of Hervanta is a community of 10,500 undergraduate and postgraduate students and close to 2,000 employees. Internationality is an inherent part of all the University's activities. Around 1,500 foreign nationals from more than 60 countries work or pursue studies at TUT. Tampere University of Technology (TUT) is an active scientific community of 1,600 employees and 8,300 students. The University enjoys a reputation as a sought-after collaboration partner in industry and academia and maintains close ties with some 200 universities worldwide. Internationality is an integral part of all our activities. TUT is a member of the European Consortium of Innovative Universities (ECIU). The most extensive and established of our leading-edge international research fields are signal processing, optics and photonics, and intelligent machines. We aim to be counted among the world's foremost research institutions in these fields. TUT was established in 1965 and has operated in the form of a foundation since 2010. Our compact and welcoming campus is located in the city district of Hervanta and is easy to reach by public transport or by car. The Kampusareena building (photo) stands in the middle of the campus and is a vibrant meeting place for students, researchers, staff, companies, and alumni. The building was completed in autumn 2015.

    Sinai University

Sinai University was established refereeing to the presidential decree number 363 for the year 2005 in accordance to provisions of law number 101 the year 1992 regarding the private Universities, which was replaced by law number 12 the year 2009 regarding the private and civil Universities and its executive regulations issued by the presidential decree number 302 for the year 2010. The significance of establishing a university, including research centers, especially in the North of Sinai, is not only due to the lack of such universities in this area but also to the particular importance of having a world-class education to support the economic development of the region and to tie the Egyptian economy to the changes and transformation of the international economic system in the 21st century. Specialized high institutes are also needed; hence many countries tended to set up more universities, academies, institutes, and cities. The idea is to increase the flexibility in different economic sectors by securing a base of specialists who constitute the real starting point for economic growth. This fact does not negate the risk of establishing this University in Sinai, which represents a real challenge for national participation in this region's development. The University aspires to be one of the pioneering Universities from local, regional, and international perspectives, introducing educational and research specific services for the local and regional community. We intend to provide our students with the best education practical experience from beginning to end, with smart, sophisticated equipment to deliver glowing, well-educated graduates. With its own distinguished and specialized nature, Sinai University has emerged that made it different in its perception and profile from the traditional academic concepts and policies. Universities have a critical and essential role in national history. California State knew the development path only through a university. Alborg University was the seed for an evolution that enabled such a small spot in the far south of Denmark to be one of those big industrial cities among developed countries. Ain Shams University

As the third Egyptian University, Ain Shams University was founded in July 1950 under the name of "Ibrahim Pasha University." It participated with the two earlier universities, "Cairo University" (Fua'd the 1st ) and "Alexandria University" (Farouk the 1st), in fulfilling the message of universities and meeting the increasing demand of youth for higher education. When it was first established, Ain Shams University comprised several distinguished faculties and academic institutes, which were later developed into University. After the revolution of the 23 rd of July 1952, it was suggested that Egyptian universities be given names that were strongly linked with the roots and historical landmarks of the country. Thus on 21 st of February 1954, the name of the University was changed to "Heliopolis," and then changed in the same year to its present name "Ain Shams," the Arabic for "Heliopolis," or "On," which was the oldest University in history. "On" University was established about 5000 years ago, and it had a wide fame as a center of knowledge and learning, especially in astronomy, engineering, and medicine. Perhaps a perfect example of "On" teachers' knowledge and skill is Imhotep, the chief priest, minister, and architect. They, in 2700 B.C., designed the first large structure of stone known in history, Zoser's Step Pyramid in Sakkara. Westcar Papyrus also states that the founder of the Fifth Dynasty was the Rector of "On" University before ascending the throne. However, the most important achievement of "On" University was the call for worshipping a single deity, the solar disk of Aton, at the hands of Akhenaton, who was influenced by the ideas of "On" priests. The University is now located in the Zaafaran Palace area, built during the regime of Khedive Ismail. The Palace was so named because the area surrounding it was famous for saffron (in Arabic Zaafaran) plantations. The Palace was used to host the Egyptian University administration offices when it was established in 1925. It was used by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (as a guest house) for accommodating important visitors. The Palace also witnessed the signing of the 1936 Treaty between Egypt and Great Britain. Finally, in 1952, it came to be used as the administrative headquarters of Ain Shams University. Being a major scientific and cultural institution, Ain Shams University is fully aware of these challenges. It is confident that it has - with other Egyptian Universities - a problematic challenging responsibility for creating the generation. In 1973 the faculty of Al-Alsun was made the tenth member in the University. However, the history of this faculty dates back to 1835. In 1994, a decree was issued to establish two more faculties, the faculty of Pharmacy and the faculty of Dentistry; the actual study was started the following year in both faculties. In the same year, it was decided to establish the faculty of Computers and Information Sciences, and the study started the following year. The last faculty to join the University is the faculty of Specific Education, in 1998. Faculty of Nursing was established in 1980, and the Institute of Childhood Postgraduates Studies was established in 1981. The establishment of the Institute of Environmental Research and Studies was in 1982. Ain Shams University comprises seven campuses, all of which are situated in Great Cairo. The university administration, faculties of Arts, Law, and Science are all located on the main campus, El-khalifa El Mamoon Street, Abbasi. The faculties of Commerce, Al-Alsun (languages), Pharmacy, Dentistry, Computer and Information Sciences, Institute of Postgraduate Childhood and Institute of Environmental Studies and Research, and the specialized Hospital are located on the second campus on the other side of the street above. Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Nursing and the university hospitals are located on another campus at Abassia. Faculties of Engineering, Specific Education, Education, Women, and Agriculture are located on a separate campus in Abbasi, Heliopolis, and Shoubra El-Kheema. Our mission is to Integrate a culture of total quality and continuous improvement in the educational process and research. Enrich the theoretical knowledge and applied the following ethical standards, social and cultural life of society. Spreading the culture and ethics of scientific research. Strengthen cooperation between the University and other universities, scientific research centers locally, regionally, and globally. Development of educational programs in light of the standards of local, regional, and global levels. Strengthening continuing education and distance education.
