The formation of a British University in Egypt arose from a 1998 Memorandum of Cooperation between the UK and the Egyptian Governments. It was envisaged that such an institution would produce UK standards for critical sectors of the Egyptian economy, particularly in engineering, computer science, and business studies. In 2004, with strong support from the British Embassy and the British Council, a Presidential decree was issued establishing the British University in Egypt. The university campus's initial phase was already under construction, and the University welcomed its first cohort (only 200 students) of undergraduate students in September 2005. The University campus was chosen to be located in El Sherouk, one of the new residential and commercial cities in Egypt on the outskirts of Cairo. The BUE program of Basic and Applied Psychology offers students comprehensive specializations that incorporate basic and applied practices. This includes an awareness of regional and international media context, cultural sensitivity, exposure to international communication perspectives, and familiarity with ethical and managerial frameworks. This course is particularly beneficial to Egyptian students at AUC, as this kind of exposure enhances students’ knowledge about themselves and Egypt as a part of the Arab region. The famous father-son Mexican architect team Legoretta+Legoretta designed the Texas A&M Engineering Building. Construction of the building took one year and ten months to complete and cost USD 150 million. The Texas A&M Engineering Building is more than 55,000 sq. meters or 595,000 sq. feet. The main entrance to the Texas A&M Engineering Building features a solid bronze door. Metal Artwork in Saudi Arabia, a company famous for designing palace doors, produced the door. The door weighs 2.5 tons, and when the main entrance was being completed, the door had to be installed in one piece by forklift. The gigantic door reflects the greatness of what is happening inside. The student lounge is divided into two areas, one for male students and one for female students. Each room has a plasma TV with the latest in gaming technology. The student lounge's common area contains large tables for group study, as well as two foosball tables for when a quick break from studying is needed. The establishment of Kuwait University began by issuing an Amiri decree in 1966 No. 29/1966. It took the responsibility of preparing and educationally qualifying the young generation, the real wealth of this country, to achieve the ambitious future goals with the most necessary knowledge, culture, and science. The ability to offer distinguished academic learning for these young generations is the key to developing and disseminating the knowledge needed to meet all goals and meet the requirements of society.
