  1. Finlandia University is a private, not-for-profit, HLC accredited, co-educational liberal arts college affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. The school is located in Michigan's northernmost city, Hancock, founded in 1896 by Finnish immigrants as Suomi College. Finlandia University is the only institution of higher learning in North America founded by Finns, a fact that is evident throughout Finlandia's campus. Finn is home to the cultural center of Finns in North America, the Finnish American Heritage Center. The university also hosts a unique curriculum and library of resources focused on nordic studies, several Finnish exchange students and interns each year, and the Finnish American Reporter, a monthly newspaper celebrating Finnish American heritage. Finlandia University was founded by Finnish Lutherans, looking to make a better life for future generations. Today, Lutheran influence can be felt on Finlandia's campus as it is one of 26 colleges and universities affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). Finlandia offers academic programs of study leading to associate and baccalaureate degrees in the disciplines of art and design (BFA), business (BBA), liberal studies (B.A., A.A., AGS), and health sciences (BSN, AAS). Finlandia University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association for Colleges and Schools (NCA-HLC). Finlandia's campus is located in the Keweenaw Peninsula, the northernmost point of land in Michigan. Natural beauty, mining and immigrant history, a thriving arts community, and year-round outdoor recreation opportunities are plentiful in this region known as the Copper Country. Finlandia students enjoy miles of public beaches, more than 25 local waterfalls, and easy access to Lake Superior, the world's largest body of freshwater. Adventurous spirits find inspiration and enjoyment on miles of local hiking and biking trails, at two national and four state parks, and on acres of pristine, natural forest land. Finlandia students enjoy mountain biking, hiking, fishing, camping, canoeing, and boating, and with an average annual snowfall of 250-300 inches, snowboarding, skiing, and ice hockey. Student organizations and the university host frequent cultural, fun, and service activities. The local community offers students multiple opportunities to attend and participate in theatre, concerts, festivals, and competitions. More than 500 students from 25 states and six countries attended Finlandia. About 39% live on campus, 43% are male, 57% are female, 14% are minority students, and about 96% seek bachelor degrees. Our average class size is about 11 students. Finlandia faculty are committed to your personal and intellectual growth. With the careful mentorship that occurs in our small class settings, you will forge relationships with your teachers that will inspire you and last a lifetime. Finlandia student-athletes compete in 16 NCAA Division III sports: Men's and women's basketball, volleyball, men's and women's soccer, men's and women's hockey, men's and women's cross-country running, men's and women's tennis, football, baseball, softball and men's and women's golf. Finn's school colors are Finlandia Blue, Anthracite Black, and White, and the university's mascot is Riku F. Lion. Best Value SchoolFinlandia University offers several unique tuition initiatives, numerous merit-based scholarships, and one of the most affordable tuition rates in the upper Midwest for a private university. One hundred percent of our full-time domestic students receive some financial aid in 2015-16 that added up to Finlandia, investing more than $2.7 million into our students' future. In 2017 and 2018, Finn was named a Best Value School. Finlandia University is a learning community dedicated to academic excellence, spiritual growth, and service. With its dedicated faculty and diverse student body, the university fosters intellectual challenge, open dialogue, service to others, and entrepreneurial response to a world characterized by change. One of the most commonly made mistakes in choosing a college is to base one's decision on outward costs alone. To fully determine the best buy, financial aid opportunities must be factored in. Often a small private institution is better able to look at financial aid on an individual basis. This can result in the student realizing more financial aid opportunities, thus offsetting the costs. Apply for free and see how your financial package can add up. You may end up with more affordable tuition than you would with a public institution. Scholarship opportunities from Finlandia that would require an application and that would be in addition to the funding a full-time student would receive for their cumulative Finlandia GPA (or incoming GPA for new students) will be posted here as they become available. We are proud to call the Upper Peninsula of Michigan home and have a passion for welcoming our fellow Yoopers to campus, which is why we are introducing the $4,000 U.P. Commitment Grant. To be eligible, students need to have earned at least a 2.25 cumulative high school GPA, have graduated from a U.P. high school. Students will retain this for all four years by maintaining a 2.25 GPA, full-time status, and good social standing. Students earning the Hancock Award are not eligible to receive this grant. This grant is only available to new students beginning during or after the fall 2017 Semester. ESA Business School

Established in 1996 following an intergovernmental agreement between France and Lebanon, ESA is a Business School dedicated to executives and managers' education in Lebanon and the Middle East and managed by the Paris Ile-de-France Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry. With its mission to form the elite of Lebanon and the region into tomorrow's leaders, ESA has become a beacon of academic excellence within Lebanon and a platform for interaction and meetings between Europe, the Middle East, and Lebanon. Paying keen attention to businesses and their needs, ESA helps them develop their visions and help them better achieve their objectives by training and coaching their executives and managers. Situated in the center of Beirut, and at the heart of the Middle East, ESA asserts its reach as an essential international school, combining the talents of high-level learners and professors who rank among the world's most preeminent specialists. These different factors, essential to the original idea's success, were regrouped under the banner of innovation and change. This was the founders' desire when establishing a prestigious Business School in Lebanon, and they had a clear mission: to train the Lebanese elite into the leaders of tomorrow. Today, it is the professors and international experts, and the students from the country or the region, who drive this arena for privileged exchanges between Lebanon and France, and between Europe and the Middle East. From these exchanges is born a mutual enrichment that is unique. Our challenge is to educate citizens, accountable leaders, and actors of change in an era of globalization. Without relinquishing their culture and preserving their values and convictions, these ESA graduates develop an original and efficient leadership style, highly valued by businesses. Many among them today have assumed essential responsibilities in their country or elsewhere in the world. Graduates now number over three thousand, representing all the communities and regions of Lebanon. They are always ready to take action for their School. Each in their way is an inspiration for Lebanon, France, or wherever they may find themselves, and as the years go by, none have forgotten their time spent on the campus of Clemenceau Street.
  4. AUST reflects its founders' concerns in that American-styled university education should be within reach of all qualified students. Hence, tuition fees are kept at a minimum level while providing financial aid to those students who cannot afford the tuition and without compromising the requirements for growth and excellence in academic delivery. The American University of Science & Technology seeks to: Promote the search for the truth through the pursuit of knowledge and the application of its derivatives. Provide men and women from Lebanon, the Middle East, and the rest of the world with the opportunity to seek higher education (without discrimination as to religion, gender, color, national origin, or socioeconomic background) in an atmosphere of intellectual freedom and respect for the particularities of one's own culture and customs. Offer American-styled educational programs comparable with similar programs offered in the U.S.A. and are tailored to the needs of the geographical region it serves. Instill in the minds and the hearts of its students the principles of adequate national and international citizenship so that they may become the agents of social justice, catalysts for universal peace, and promoters of human rights. Ensure an intellectually-rich atmosphere of academic pursuit dominated by responsible freedom and respect for the rights of others. Develop the student's analytical, critical, creative, and communication skills across the curriculum and para-academic activities. Strive to become a model of the use of high technology in education in the region. Avail the students of social, cultural, and educational programs and activities that will support and complement the traditional classroom teaching and the learning processes. Graduate ecologically aware students who value their countries' ecology and strive to ensure its preservation for future generations. Be a model of the pursuit of excellence in higher education in the region that it serves. Let your years at AUST be substantive and full. Enjoy the geographically well-situated campuses and discover the area around you. Do not restrict your college experience to classroom attendance. Meet other students, make friends engage your faculty in dialogue, learn from their experiences, and take pride in your institution by inviting your non-AUST friends and families to university events.
