The mission of the National University of Modern Languages is to establish, sustain and enhance itself as a quality-centric higher education institution that provides an excellent academic environment and opportunities for creating educated, productive, and responsible citizens of Pakistan and the global citizenry through intellectual, personal and professional growth. The National University of Modern Languages was established as an institute in 1969 to help people communicate and understand each other in different oriental and occidental languages, to assimilate different cultures, and act as a springboard for emerging disciplines. Initially, the institute provided language training facilities to personnel of armed forces and other government services of Pakistan. It was upgraded to University on May 29, 2000. Modern University for Business and Science (MUBS) was founded in 2000 in Damour, the gate to the Shouf Mountain of Lebanon, under the name of MECAT. It was the brainchild of a group of intellectuals headed by Dr. Hatem Alamy, who had a vision for an educational institution that transcends religions and sectarian boundaries, cultural differences, and regional and local politics, to become an institution that the great potential of Lebanese students irrespective of their gender, religious, or political backgrounds. That vision became a reality at the close of the second millennium, despite the obstacles placed on its path and the challenges encountered. With total perseverance, dedication, and commitment of the founding group, MECAT University College was officially licensed by the Ministry of Education & Higher Education'sEducation's decree number 3585 issued by the Council of Ministers on August 8th, 2000. In 2007 the University changed its name to Modern University for Business & Science (MUBS) to reflect its new status, vision, and mission. The change was approved by the ministry decree number 868 dated November 11th, 2007. The University, which started with 17 students and five instructors, grew steadily over the years attracting students from diverse groups and bringing higher education to students and regions of Lebanon that were neglected and forgotten. Today MUBS enjoys a diverse population of over 1800 students, 200 instructors, and 100 administrators spread across its campuses in Damour, Beirut, Aley, Semkanieh, and Jal-el-Dib Center. The University uses the Credit System, a systematic way of describing an educational program by attaching credits to its components. Under the Credit System, each course is assigned a credit rating reflecting weekly contact hours. In general, a three-credit course indicates three hours of lectures per week for one term. A course represents a particular topic of study into a broader subject area and is the basic building block of a qualification. After deciding on the degrees and subjects of interest, you will need to decide on the courses to enroll in your academic year. Most courses are taught during one semester: Fall Semester (October to February), Spring Semester (February to June), and Summer Session (June to August), twice per week: Monday and Wednesday, or Tuesday and Thursday. Some courses may require attendance on Friday or Saturday. The School of Computer and Applied Sciences was established in the year 2000. Since then, the faculty has been multiplying, graduating more than 1300 students in different majors now occupying various positions at corporations in Lebanon and abroad. The school has two departments the computer science and Graphic Design. The Graphic design department offers one undergraduate degree in Graphic Design. All our degrees are accredited by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MEHE).

Egypt Modern School (EMS)/ Alexandria American College (AAC) was founded in 1999 and affiliated with the North Central Association Advance. Ed in 2005. It is an independent, co-educational school that enrolls students starting Pre-K through Grade 12. It is located in Abis, Alexandria. It was established by the International Company for Educational Services to meet the needs of Egyptian and foreign children living in Alexandria. The school is located on two- acres with one campus, divided to accommodate the National and American divisions. The campus houses twenty classrooms provided for the American division. Each classroom is furnished with computers connected by a network to the Internet. The school includes facilities for health, outdoor play, physical education, art, technology, library, music, and Special Needs services. The school also houses the offices for Finance, Personnel, and the Head of School. Additionally, it includes a lecture hall, basketball court, volleyball court, multipurpose court, and an exercise room. The entire premise is surveyed using cameras. The cameras are installed at school gates, classrooms, and corridors and then linked to the administrative office where administrators can monitor the footage. The school is affiliated with the Egyptian Ministry of Education with license number 154453 attained on the 2nd of September 1999. The school was built on 26.000 meters the classrooms are well designed, modern with high ceilings and the windows are largely creating an airy bright room filled with natural light. Corridors are wide, bathrooms are well spread all over, to facilitate easy access to students. There are science laboratories and computer labs, also a very special computer lab that caters to ICDL teaching and testing which we have acquired the Licence from UNESCO. There is a library fully equipped, art rooms, home economic rooms, agriculture rooms, maintenance room, gymnasium, and two swimming pools. We have also multipurpose sport’s courts, such as a grass football pitch, a handball court, a basketball court, and two fully equipped indoor squash courts with an auditorium. During break times the students make full use of the extensive playgrounds and a cafeteria in which to relax and buy freshly made sandwiches or drinks, etc….The kg department has a separate playground, equipped with many toys and a large covered play area with artificial grass. The administration building is the focal point as one enters the front gate. The inside is airy with lots of natural lighting through the partial glass dome-shaped roof in the center. In October 1990 the Modern English School Cairo opened its doors with only 28 students enrolled. The school began with the pioneering vision of a group of educators led by Mr. Nabeel Dajani and Mrs. Sawsan Dajani. Its reputation and standing in the community grew quickly and as the school population increased, improved facilities were built, culminating in a recent move to an impressive state-of-the-art campus in New Cairo. In a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, the students are encouraged to care for one another and the world around them. MES Cairo is a real international community where the current enrolment of 2076 students aged 3.2 to 18 from 30 nations study together purposefully. Modern Knowledge Schools was established in 1995. During this short period, we have grown and flourished because of our dedicated staff. The school was founded in 2009 in an area of 6250 M in a spacious unpolluted piece of land. The first scholastic year was 2011-2012 when we started only with three classes from kindergarten to senior. The school is privileged with a unique design where three foreign languages are taught (English – French – German) and we also give special attention to the perfection of the Arabic language. We were keen to enhance the educational process so we equipped the classrooms with interactive whiteboards and prepared unique biology, chemistry, and physics laboratories as well as very advanced multimedia rooms and computer laboratories. Teaching and administration staff members were carefully selected according to a demanding level of competence and experience. The Modern Education School (MES) was established in 1997 by the El-Shark Company. The school is a co-educational school that serves grades Pre-Kindergarten through Secondary. There are three different educational systems in the school: the National Division, the British Division, and the American Division. The British Division is from years 1 to 12, the American Division, which was first established in September 2001 serves Pre-K through Grade 12. Our Vision is to build self-confident, creative leaders who communicate effectively, think critically, and accept others while maintaining a strong Egyptian identity. To provide a high quality comprehensive educational system that enables students to function as a member of a group and as a productive member of the society. The Modern Education American School received an overwhelmingly positive overall assessment in its third periodic accreditation from AdvancED in May 2012. The school received the highest rating “Highly Functional” in 5 out of 7 standards, and for the other two standards, the school was rated as “Operational” which is the second-best rating. These high ratings are awarded to very few schools worldwide. The qualifying team was impressed with the school’s high quality of education, as well as its strong culture. It is worth mentioning that MES received its first advanced accreditation (known as CITA at that time) in August 2001 and Again in May 2007 as part of the customary accreditation review process every 5 years. Founder PTA members have always been of great support to MES. We involve and consult them in major decisions. We urge interested parents to step up and become active PTA members. Any support you give to the school is support to your kids. PTA members are the ambassadors of the school the link between parents and the school, the school, and the community at large. PTA elections are held during the first month of the academic year, meetings are held regularly throughout the year.
