Atilim University was founded by the Atilim Foundation on 15 July 1997 to serve as a Foundation University in a legal entity's capacity according to provisions of Law no. 2547 concerning the Foundation of Higher Education Institutes. Atılım's goal is to develop individuals with the capability to attain and put to use the universal information required in the age of technology- individuals who are knowledgeable and experienced in their respective fields, work as team members and are not afraid of competition. Zarqa University (ZU) was founded in 1994 in a strategic location to the east of Zarqa City, just six kilometers away, to be the first private University in Zarqa Governorate, with an area that reached three hundred and fifty acres. The University aims at going in parallel lines with the objectives and the strategies of public and private Jordanian universities. It also supports the Jordanian higher education system's different goals and meets the scientific, social, economic, cultural, and human needs. The University started with six colleges that comprised one hundred and fifty students enrolled in twenty majors. In 2017/2018, the number of students has increased to reach about eight thousand students distributed on thirteen colleges, including seven humanities faculties and six scientific faculties. The University comprises forty-four undergraduate majors and postgraduate programs in English Language and Literature, Accounting, Computer Science, Mathematics, Marketing, Software Engineering, Business Administration, Intellectual Property, and Islamic Banking. It also includes three deanships, Deanship of Scientific Research, Student Affairs, and Evening Studies, and five centers: Islamic Cultural Centre, Computer Centre, Language Centre, Centre of Continuing Education and Community Service, E-learning Centre, and Energy Research Center. Other administrative departments such as the Admission and Registration Department, Library, and the Development and Quality Assurance Unit. Zarqa University has proved its presence among other universities since it was founded thorough working on achieving three essential objectives First, offering quality education that provides students with the knowledge and the essential skills they need in order to upgrade their academic achievements, achieve comprehensive and integrated development of their personalities, prepare them for the future and form their positive perspectives. Second, The University tends to reinforce scientific research that is considered an essential factor in achieving scientific improvement and sustainable development. Zarqa Journal for Research and Studies in Humanities is the leading Journal of the University. It started in 1999 and is published quarterly by the Deanship of Scientific Research. The journal publishes in Arabic and English and is internationally indexed in Ulrich'stabase. The University was awarded the (ISO) certificate in 2009, which is accomplished through careful planning between the Board of Directors, the Board of Trustees, and the University Administration, who work as one team.   3. Isra University was established in 1991 in compliance with the decree 357 of the Jordanian Higher Education Council in 1989. Through its progress, the University has obtained general accreditation since 1991 with a capacity of 1320 students. Currently, this capacity has mounted to 7750 students. The University is located on the road of Queen Alia International Airport. Its faculties, constructions, and facilities lie on three square kilometers at Al-Tanib district, South of Amman. The University awards Bachelor Degree in 25 specializations and Master Degrees in 9 specializations, which are: law, Pharmacy, Management of Engineering Projects, Accounting, Software Engineering, and Kindergarten, affiliated with eight faculties. These specializations are recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education, authorized by the accreditation board of higher education institutions in Jordan, and granted many accreditation and appreciation certificates by national and international institutions. Twenty groups have so far graduated, amounting to more than 20000 students. The University is a member of the Association of Arab Universities, Assembly of Private higher education institutions in Arab countries, Arab Assembly for Training University students, International Association of Universities, and International Association of Training and Development organizations. The University follows the credit hour system in the teaching process. Attendance of lectures and laboratory work are obligatory student absence should not exceed 15 percent of the total hours required for each course. To get a Bachelor's Degree from faculties of Arts, Administrative and Financial Sciences, Educational Sciences, Information Technology, and Nursing. An undergraduate student should complete 132 credit hours and 141 credit hours in the Faculty of Law, with a cumulative average not less than 60 percent. In the Faculties of Pharmacy and Engineering, an undergraduate student should complete 160 credit hours with a cumulative average of less than 60 percent. To get a Master's Degree in relevant specializations, a postgraduate student should complete 33 credit hours with a cumulative average of not less than 75 percent in both programs: research-based program and teaching program. The University has recently created various centers: a center for child rights, a center for developing staff members, and a center for electronic learning (E-learning). To enhance the educational process, a center for consultations and continuing education, a Community service center, computer center, and deanship of student's affairs, deanship of evening studies, and deanship of academic research and higher studies were created. The University also has scholarship programs to send students to Arab and international universities to get doctoral degrees in many fields.   4. The German-Jordanian University (GJU) is a public university located in Mushaqar. It was founded in 2005 by a Royal Decree, following a memorandum of understanding reached between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Federal Ministry of Education and Research of the Federal Republic of Germany. In August 2004, a founding committee began up its activities in Jordan. The committee was in close cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. At the same time, the German planning office opened at the University of Magdeburg-Stendal in close cooperation with the Federal Ministry of Education and Research BMBF and the German Academic Exchange Services DAAD, which funded the university project for four years. The project is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) under the category "German Study Programmes Abroad." The laying of the cornerstone took place on April 25th, 2005, under the patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah II and in the presence of Her Excellency Ms. Edelgard Bulmahn, the German Federal Minister of Education and Research His Excellency Dr. Khaled Touqan, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Jordan at the time His Excellency Professor Jan-Hendrik Olbertz, the Minister of Cultural Affairs of Saxony-Anhalt the DAAD Vice President, Professor Max Huber and many other notables. The University was modeled on the German applied-sciences model, characterized by their focus on putting knowledge into practice and promoting knowledge transfer. We aim to play a significant role in promoting links between Jordan and Europe, particularly Germany. By taking advantage of the best educational practices in Jordan and Germany, the University has positioned itself as a leader in its field. The University's focus is on providing undergraduate and graduate programs of the highest quality. We offer over 20 programs, with a student body of around 5,000, drawn predominantly from Jordan and international students. The School of Applied Medical Sciences was established in September 2005. Two programs, then, constituted the core of the school, namely, Pharmaceutical-Chemical Engineering (CPE) and Biomedical Engineering (BME). Biomedical Engineering was created in response to continual changes and the emergence of new areas of expertise commensurate with rapid advances in technology. Some of the well-established specialties in biomedical engineering include bioinstrumentation biomaterials biomechanics cellular, tissue and genetic engineering clinical engineering, medical imaging orthopedic surgery rehabilitation engineering, and systems physiology. The School of Applied Technical Sciences (SATS) was established in 2005. The SATS offers undergraduate programs in three engineering disciplines giving the students the knowledge and skills they need for success in a technically oriented career. Graduates of the SATS are expected to fill the gap in the Jordanian and the regional markets in critically needed disciplines concerning technology transfer, innovation, and management. The faculty's approach is to foster applied learning in all courses offered via practical projects, teamwork, technical writing, and presentations.   5. Al-Hussein Bin Talal University was founded in 1999 and was the first higher educational institution established during H.M. King Abdullah II. In the beginning, the university was a branch for Mu'tah University occupying a temporary campus in Ma'an. It was relocated to a permanent campus in September 2004, 9 Km North West of Ma'an. AHU is a public, coeducational university located in the southern region's heart, 210 Km from the Capital Amman. The College of Information Technology (CoIT) was established in 2009 after re-structuring Information Technology and Computer Engineering and the College of Mining and Environmental Engineering. During this process, the Department of Computer Engineering and the Department of Communication Engineering was moved from the CoIT. Simultaneously, the Department of Information Technology has been divided into three departments, namely Computer Science, Computer Information Technology, and Software Engineering. The Faculty of Engineering (FE) was formally established in 2003 as part of AHU's strategic plan and offered admission for the first group of students in the first semester of the academic year 2004-2005. Since its establishment, our faculty multiplied in terms of students and teaching staff. In FE, we offer a bachelor's degree in eight central departments: Mining, Environmental, Chemical, Computer, Communication, Electrical, Mechanical, and Civil Engineering. These departments were chosen to reflect the importance of Ma'an governorate and the southern part of Jordan in general as a center for most mining based industries such as phosphate, limestone, potash, silica, fertilizers, etc. Faculty of Educational Sciences was established through the board of trustees' decision no. 5 on 14 September 1999. It consists of (50) Ph.D. and Master holders. The faculty is looking forward to building national, Islamic, and Arabian personalities for its students. Also, let its students gain them to be transferred to their future students in public and private schools. Again, to develop the conscious mind interacts with the new developments of life with a creative spirit that can be Arabian, Islamic, authenticity through advanced teaching plans and programs. The faculty is doing its best to enrich its members' abilities, particularly the university members in general through research, containing training program, seminars and workshops in different fields. The faculty is helping in developing the teachers' competencies of all specializations in the educational establishments. In 2003, the College of Business Administration and Economics had exte,nsive, and diverse specialized programs programming fulfill its education, research, services, and national missions. Under this general interest, the college offered eight main Bachelor's degrees within three departments: Business Administration, Economics, Banking, and Financial Services. The establishment of the Department of Public Relations and Community Development came alongside the university's establishment in 1999. It was set out to reflect the objective and truthful civilized image of the Al-Hussein Bin Talal University. This Department is the university's official voice, and it is responsible for supervising the organization of the cultural and public relations with various organizations within and outside the country. The Department comprises three divisions: the Division of Cultural Relations and Media, the Public Relations Division, and the Division office. Princess Aisha Bint Alhussein College of Nursing carries the name of princess Aisha. She dedicated herself to establishing and serving the college as a blossom of Alhussein Bin Talal University to utilize the Jordanian community's nursing process. Princess Aisha Bint Alhussein College of Nursing was established at the beginning of the academic year 2008/2009 and has been provided with the complete needed medical tools, training manikins, simulation models, and electronic medical devices learning demands regarding nursing specialization. DIR was established per the university president's decision No (186/2002) dated 14/3/2002. DIR is an independent entity linked directly to the university president and comprises two sections. Namely, they are Int'l Agreement Section and Cultural Exchange and Communication Section. The Department of Personnel establishment came in sync with the early establishment of the Al-Hussein Bin Talal University, 1999. The Dept's philosophy is to implement the university policies related to the provision of human resources of academic, administrative, and technical personnel and follow-up actions and administrative procedures regarding personnel at the university and provide services related to health insurance, social security, and life insurance for them and follow their affairs for the duration of their work in the university by the laws and regulations of the university.
