  1. Located in West Amman, Amman Academy (AA) is a private co-educational, bilingual (English and Arabic) day school enrolling around 1,750 students from Kindergarten through 12th grade. The school was established in 1991 and has been an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School since 2006 when we became authorized to teach the IB Diploma Programme (DP). AA is one of the few schools in Jordan authorized to offer the DP, Middle Years Programme (MYP), and the Primary Years Programme (PYP) under one roof. We are ideally situated in Khalda and easily accessible from all directions. The built area covers 15,000 square meters and is constructed on 23,000 square meters of land. The buildings were purposefully designed to be attractive and functional and are centrally heated. Our furniture, equipment, and lighting were chosen with caretaking into consideration all educational and health factors. The school building is comprised of the west wing, north wing, south wing, KG, the gym, the swimming pool, and a car parking area with a capacity of 150 cars. The school’s green fields, courtyards, and parking lots cover an area that exceeds 20,000 square meters. Amman Academy has gone green by installing a 412 kWp solar system on the various roofs around the school. To add to the many advantages of using solar energy to generate electricity, we have also set up a photovoltaic (PV) lab to educate our students about the importance of renewable energy. Amman Academy (AA) is a bilingual, Arabic and English, IB World School and a center of academic excellence and creativity. The core strategic objective is to prepare our students to join the finest universities in the world. AA students are proud of their national heritage and its contributions whilst appreciating and respecting other cultures. We aim to prepare future leaders who are self-disciplined, tolerant, principled, and life-long learners capable of making a positive impact on the world around them. We trust that these critical areas of consideration will help you to select the best school for your children and to determine how Amman Academy meets your expectations. The school’s academic results over several years. The school’s mission and philosophy and their compatibility with your child’s personality and family expectations. Administration and management’s reputation and achievements to ensure that your children are in good hands capable of caring for and educating them. The emphasis on Arabic language instruction, as proficiency in Arabic, will be a great advantage in your children’s lives and future careers. The emphasis on English language instruction and students’ English proficiencies since English is your child’s gateway to the world through technology, communication, and business. The level of investment the school provides in technology and its integration into education. The effectiveness of the offered academic programs in developing life-long learners. The emphasis on building students' character to ensure that they are ready for a complex and competitive life ahead. Amman Academy is authorized by the International Baccalaureate to implement the Primary Years Programme (PYP). The program is up to Grade 5 in two languages (Arabic and English). The PYP prepares students to become active, caring, lifelong learners who demonstrate respect for themselves and others and have the capacity to participate actively in the world around them. It focuses on the development of the whole child as an inquirer within the classroom and beyond. Our Kindergarten program at AA provides a safe and nurturing learning environment for our children. We are dedicated to the development of every child’s physical, social, intellectual, and cultural growth. We believe that student learning is best done when it is authentic and relevant to the real world. Within a stimulating, developmentally appropriate environment, we foster creativity and encourage children to become problem solvers. Children work together and make connections between what takes place in the classroom and their own lives. Through theme-based learning, our children are provided with activities to explore, experiment, and discover. Children are given opportunities to view the world from different perspectives and to adapt to change. To achieve the aim, Amman Academy works in parallel with the IB Learner Profile. This entails the attributes that PYP students need to have to interact effectively within their society. We want learners to acquire and apply a set of transdisciplinary skills that are valuable not only within the classroom environment but in life outside the academic arena as well. Amman Academy has been an authorized MYP school since 2013. Therefore, we are currently implementing the Middle Years Programme (MYP) in grades 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10. Amman Academy works in parallel with the IB Learner Profile, which entails the attributes that MYP students need to have to interact effectively within their society. Our aim is for learners to acquire and apply a set of skills that are valuable within the classroom environment and in real-life situations outside the academic arena as well. Amman Academy has been an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School since 2006 when we were authorized to begin teaching the IB Diploma Programme.
