      About Me

      1. Whenever the word ibadah is mentioned, most of the time the picture that comes to mind is solat, whenever jihad is mentioned, fighting on the battlefield is the picture that comes to mind. And whenever reminders are made regarding one’s responsibility to contribute to Islam, sadeqah to mosques and orphans are commonly remembered. The ibadah requires support more so now in the field of knowledge and education. The way knowledge and education have been insidiously secularised and offered to the world of Islam by the so-called western progressive elite has successfully reduced the Muslims to mere “shells” devoid of spirit, leadership, courage, and has removed the crown of knowledge from us. Over the years the spirit of the Ummah has been slowly disintegrated until they are ready now to be served at banquets of the kuffars. Education today is regarded as nothing else but a passport to a high standard of living. The “products” from this education system feed the lifestyle generated by secular materialism and so we have hazy and fuzzy “successful” people oblivious of their highest status of God’s creations, their duties, and function, and their real purpose in life. Intuitively searching for happiness, in the end after a lifetime of the chase, they realize how short-lived is the happiness offered by the materials of this world. The institution of IIS, its holistic integrated curriculum, the Khalifah Program being implemented, embodies the struggle to bring back the correct upbringing of our children so that once again we will see the spirit and iman of the sahabah in them. We, the founders, the parents, and the teachers must stay true and be steadfast to this objective. Alhamdulillah, for the blessings and everything and everyone’s contribution so far. The real challenge for the Muslim educationists today is to rediscover the roots of a truly Islamic education system (tarbiyyah-based) that extends deep into the foundations of our Islamic social, cultural, political, economic, and historical existence. In short, tarbiyyah, derived from the root word ‘Rabb’ which means the Protector, Educator, and Planner of all things, embodies a practical, integrated and holistic Islamic education system that aims to reconstruct our Islamic identity and way of life in our children and ourselves. IISKD is a sincere manifestation of these ideas translated into a modest reality. Our motto reminds us of the important fundamentals of an Islamic education system –“Knowledge and taqwa, a secret of success”. Thus, the programs in IISKD are tarbiyyah-centered, tailored toward the transfer of knowledge (not content or information) that is the prerequisite for laying the foundations of taqwa in the hearts of our children. The educational aims of an excellent Islamic school should target the wholesome and all-encompassing development of a child and his or her potentials. Developing a child implies the positive stimulation of the spirit (faith-based), the intellectual (the acquisition of knowledge), the philosophical (a culture of inquiry), the rational (comprehension and analysis of the subject), moral (value-laden), aesthetic (appreciation of the arts), physical (strong and healthy), social (positive interactions towards self and society) and the affective (concerned for the rights and welfare of others). The daunting task of educating our children rests heavily on the shoulders of parents and teachers as ‘partners’ in tarbiyyah. After caring for and preparing them with the skills to live life, the responsibility of parents extends to ensuring that the best possible arrangements are made within the community to facilitate quality learning experiences. But before entrusting our children to a formal educational system or institution, parents bear the primary responsibility to equip and reinforce the basic principles of good character and morality (the elements of taqwa) in their children as a necessary foundation to formal learning. The task of choosing the most appropriate school is an onerous one for many parents, because any effect from the experience of the early school years, will have major impressions, even the negative, on a child throughout his learning years and even his life. Parents must be well-informed and meticulous regarding the criteria for choosing an educational institution for their young. Needless to say, IISKD hopes to be a partner with parents to fulfill these expectations as an act of trust to Allah s.w.t and to ensure our children develop effectively as the future ‘Khalifah fil ard’ in current challenging times. It is also indispensable in helping them to adjust themselves successfully in times of great change. We know that this gargantuan task is an Amanah that is beyond our capacity to fulfill alone. Thus, the gathering of words and pictures inked in this prospectus represent the unity of thought and effort to share these ideas with parents, friends, and all who are in search of truly Islamic education. 2. Greenview Islamic School is the brainchild of a group of Muslim professionals who are committed to improving the quality of education in Islamic schools education. Officially opened in September 2010 in Subang Jaya, the school began with one classroom, four students, six teachers, and a SmartBoard on loan. After a year’s achievement, the School Board made a thorough search for a new and larger premise in Selangor as the student population had reached a hundred strong. In March 2012, Greenview Islamic School found an ideal premise in D’Bayu Mall, Bukit Jelutong where it currently resides. In a commercial building in a beautiful and quiet residential surroundings, students can learn with peace of mind. On 21 September 2012, Greenview Islamic School became a registered Cambridge Centre. It means that students can sit for the Cambridge Checkpoint examinations for Year 6 and Year 9. The examination papers are then sent to Cambridge for marking and evaluation. Cambridge checkpoint examinations are important for preparing students to sit for Cambridge IGCSE in Year 11. Today, the school continues to expand in terms of the student population and school premise, alhamdulillah. The School Board is now working towards the school having its building and premise to ensure greater security, better facilities, and stability, insha'Allah. Since its inception in 2010, Greenview Islamic School has expanded rapidly to become an important provider of quality private international education in Malaysia. As a registered Cambridge center, Greenview students benefit from a skilled-based curriculum driven by content. Supported by a pool of talented and caring teachers, parents are assured of a holistic education that develops the mind as well as the heart. In values education, we want to mold our children’s attitudes and the way they think so that they can grow up to become Grade A persons and Grade A Muslims. No one is poor because he lacks natural resources or because nature was cruel towards him. Someone is poor because he lacks the right values in life such as self-discipline and self-correctness. He lacks the will to succeed and the commitment to achieving excellence. In Greenview, we use the Positive Re-enforcement Learning Method to raise the self-esteem and self-ambition of every child under our care. In Greenview, we instill in our children the right Islamic values by teaching that Islam is a religion and a complete way of life that is compassionate for all. Our task is to prepare students for their future by developing in the students the capabilities they will need to compete in a competitive global market. Our goal as an Islamic School is to produce good practicing Muslims who love the Religion and live according to the high ethical values defined by Islam. Our contribution to the nation is to produce progressive citizens who will contribute to the country’s progress. In tomorrow’s world, students will need more than just ‘A’ grades in their exams. They will need to think out of the box. They will need the skill to communicate a great idea and to speak with confidence that stems from a strong belief in themselves and Allah. The Mission of Greenview Islamic International School is to provide students with high-quality educational opportunities that will prepare them for their future. Belief Statements: Education is the foundation for a successful life. All students can learn and achieve academic success. School facilities are safe, healthy, and clean. Parents are involved in their child’s education. Teachers are professionals who are caring and flexible. Students are exposed to and involved in a variety of educational opportunities. At Greenview Islamic School, values-based learning is the key to the way we teach. With strong positive values, teachers and staff create a positive learning environment for your child. Through a values-based school like Greenview Islamic School, children develop a strong sense of who they are. They develop responsibility and trust. In turn, this liberates teachers from the stress of confrontations that frees up both teaching and learning times. By working closely with parents, students grow socially and academically and eventuate into confident and happy individuals. Values-based learning is fully supported by our Islamic Education. We use the Teach Your Child Islaam at-Tawheed series in our curriculum. The teaching of Islaam is based on critical thinking techniques supported by Cambridge as well. In keeping pace with educational developments and trends, The Cambridge O' Level Islamiyat curriculum emphasizes broad and balanced study across a wide range of subject areas. The curriculum is structured so that students attain both practical skills and theoretical knowledge of Islam. Arabic is an important subject in Greenview and students who have developed a strong interest in learning Arabic are encouraged to sit for the Cambridge IGCSE First Language Arabic in Year 11. This First Language syllabus develops learners' ability to communicate Arabic, accurately, and effectively. View full school
      3. The International Islamic School (IIS) was established in September 1998 and was located then at Batu 14, Jalan Gombak. It was the fruit of years of study by Muslim scholars from various parts of the world who taught in the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) who thirst for a model integrated Islamic school that could serve their children and also those of others, especially Muslim expatriates. Through the Malaysian National Curriculum and the Cambridge International Curriculum which are being implemented in Sekolah Setiabudi (Setiabudi) and International Islamic School Malaysia (IISM) respectively, coupled with various Islamic programs, ISSB manages to attract a large number of students both locally and internationally. By establishing IISM Kuantan Branch in September 2013, the company is moving forward to have more branches all over Malaysia. Our schools have the best attributes of private institutions, i.e., small class sizes, stressing high academic performance, trained and experienced teachers, providing high-quality programs, and having state-of-the-art school facilities. As the Company managing private schools, international schools, and A-Levels programs in the Klang Valley, ILESB is far more affordable than others comparatively. The purpose of the Business Plan for the fiscal year 2016 is for the Company to plan and strategize actions in our quest to bring the Company to a greater height. ILESB will be more aggressive to directly compete with its competitors by improving and upgrading the teaching and learning system, staff qualifications and skills as well as facilities including more extensive usage of ICT in the delivery of lessons. International Islamic School Malaysia (IISM) and Sekolah Setiabudi (SS), have been operating in the tranquil area of Gombak which is located in the suburbs of Kuala Lumpur since the year 1998 (IISM), 2000 (SS Primary), and 2005 (SS Secondary). With a humble start of 30 students in 1998, the numbers of students enrolled in early 2014 have multiplied to 1800 students that come from 47 countries including Malaysia. The positive increment of students enrollment indicates that the academic and non-academic teams have their strengths to get the quality of these campuses up to par with the international standards which not only enables each campus to remain its good reputation until today but to pursue and expand the market shortly. Both of the schools have provided a conducive learning environment that promotes the schools’ vision and missions in a way of educating and inspiring each youth to become a thoughtful, independent, plus, well-rounded individual along with good academic performance and personality. Here, the greater emphasis on Islamic values and perspectives have been applied in the formal education, i.e., the Hikmah program, and the informal education which happens outside the classroom, for instance, Congregational Prayers, Usrah, Ibadah Camps, Tahfeez program etcetera. Our curricula are constantly being monitored by teams of educators from the Kulliyyah of Education, International Islamic University Malaysia to preserve the state of the art of teaching methodology and curricular contents. With the understanding that young people tend to have a greater desire for outdoor activities, comprehensive facilities for the sport and games are available in our school compounds such as swimming pool, football field, futsal pitch, basketball and badminton courts, plus, archery and fencing equipment. Besides, almost all the classes have been equipped with ICT facilities apart from computer and science laboratories. View full school

      5. The Islamic Educational College (IEC) is situated at the center of Amman in Jordan the Islamic Cultural Society, a charitable society registered with the Ministry of Social Development was established in 1947. IEC is a non-profit organization, whose educational and administrative policies are set by the school's Board of Trustees. The school was founded to provide a bilingual Islamic education that would meet, in quality and extent, the highest standards, whilst remaining firmly rooted in the Arab Islamic heritage. Student enrolment is currently around 5329 students, administrative and teaching staff 926. The Islamic Educational College is a school where Islamic moderate educational theory and practice are implemented and enthusiastically embraced. The Islamic Educational College is a private school, licensed by the Jordanian Ministry of Education. IEC prepares its students for the Tawjihi at its national stream and British program: IGCSE/GCE and the American Program AHSD as school-leaving qualifications. As well as providing an academic education of high quality, the school attaches considerable importance to creative, physical, and community service activities, and offers a wide and developed range of facilities and opportunities in these areas. IEC strives to remain one of the leading educational institutions in Jordan by serving the needs of the students and their parents with the finest resources and cutting-edge curricula delivered by qualified teachers within a well-established administrative system. IEC develops the academic, physical, and social needs of its students in an open world. It is committed to raising balanced, highly-educated, and reflective life-long learners by providing an environment that promotes Islamic values and practices, whilst accepting and respecting others. Students are empowered to be proud of their heritage, language, and history, and are motivated by their sense of responsibility to embrace, benefit and excel as communicators and risk-takers. Each day, new and promising dreams are born of work and giving and with each pause of self-examination, new thoughts emerge in the map of one’s life that later crystallize into reality - concrete and pulsating with all means of survival. Truly it is a turning point in a person's life, that moment in which one hones his energy and turns sincerely to God striving and working to fulfill the ideas and beliefs that have formed deep in his mind. It is a sincere striving that knows no anxiety or fear, and in the course of one's endeavor, he seeks to be guided by the courses of his virtuous predecessors to build an amazing tomorrow. The Islamic Educational College is a modern educational model that employs what is most up-to-date in education. It seeks to blend technology in its full extent of development with its educational foundations. The School develops the student's thought and knowledge broadening his horizons and equipping him with the needed skill that will grant him the opportunity to rise in his life experiences to lofty heights and to master the ability to successfully communicate with others whether in his native Arabic language or English the most prevalent language in the world in addition to the ability to use modern technology with wisdom and awareness that guides him to make the best use of it. We, at Islamic Educational College schools, seek to raise the level of learning by implementing several strategic projects which will have an important role in the excellence of performance. Such as, “Items Bank project”,” interactive online learning”, the ethics value system project that brings in the school effort in the student individual recognitions as a spiritual being whose character must be promoted in a manner that agrees with the Islamic educational college vision and mission. In addition, the Arabic language project “Arabic is my pride”. And our most important project is “memorization of the Holy Qur’an”. This is another step our Schools have added to the series of confident steps that began six decades ago. A beam of the light of belief is extended without interruption from the beginning of each school year at the Islamic Educational College, to its end. By the light of this ray we walk and strive towards our goals vigorously and unwavering with the determination of a loyal staff which shouldered with determination the task of building generations, relying on profound heritage and scientific knowledge. Today we stand in a position we have grown accustomed to each year, a position full of hope and optimism a position that is important for two reasons: The first being, that we conclude a year that has passed which we will evaluate objectively and without bias, in preparation for the opening of a new year that we will support and assist as we do each year. The second being the celebration of the graduation of a new generation of high school students from our schools in both locations: Jabal Amman and Jubaiha. This generation both delights and heartens us as we see it go forth to an open future full of aspirations. We hope that we have instilled in our graduates a desire to strive and hasten in the field of creative ingenuity with optimism that stems from a spirit that derives its serenity and splendor from a great cultural legacy. Each academic year, some faces disappear from the stage of education in our Schools, and new faces appear, but these changes will not affect our educational process or the achieving our noble goals. Every year in each celebration or occasion we review the feedback and efforts to achieve the highest goals for the benefit of the future generation, and we open in front of this generation ways of development, progress, great hopes, and vision for the future to widen their perspective of structural civilized foundations through a group of existing and upcoming projects, for example, the establishment of a multi-purpose building in the elementary school (American program)in Jabal Amman as well as the establishment of the main library replacing the current one. In Jubaiha we are working to establish a building for kindergarten and primary, in addition to the establishment of a building for foreign programs from grade one to grade eight, so that when we look ahead to the future, our schools will have become reprehensive for an open draw from the source of Arab-Islamic identity, and a model in instructive work of education, and a factor of national advancement, so when half of our schools are fully aware of the phenomenon of the unique importance of the role played by the confirmation of its presence in accordance to Arab and Islamic culture. That is the new spirit that our school is living with to become one of the top educational institutions on the national level, and a very well known institution through ages and this educational scene will remain deep and rich, capable of development and flourish no matter how complicated life is and how deepened the difficulties are with the help of Allah Almighty. 6. As a matter of fact, in our world, today that, should one possess extraordinary skills, knowledge, academics competency, or education, do not necessarily mean that one should automatically be dedicated to the betterment of mankind and the world we live in today (rahmatan Lil Alamin). Historical facts showed that for those who seek Al Qur’an and As-Sunnah as the guidance and source in life they had become the ones who lay down the foundation of all we need for the betterment of the world we live in. Ibn Sina(980-1037 M) as the founding father of Modern Medicine & Medical Science, Al-Khawarismi (780-840 M) for Algebra and Algorithm, known as the founding father of Algebra, was an expert in mathematics, astronomy, and geography. Jabir Ibn Haiyan (750-803 M) for Chemistry, known as the father of the Chemistry of the World. Ibn Khaldun was born in the year of 732 H, for Social Science, and Abu Ubaid (838 M) was the founding father of Economy to name a few. To achieve the objective for someone to be “Insan Kamil” and “rahmatan Lil ‘Alamin”, one should place Al-Qur’an and As-Sunnah as the ‘core’ of all existence, and the ‘ultimate’ guidance and source of all skills, knowledge, academics competency and education system for one to be successful in one’s own life and at the same time contribute to the betterment of the mankind and the world we live in, now and the hereafter. The above-mentioned concept in life, is the commitment of the founders of Madina Islamic School, to bring the Islamic Worldview and Global Education to the future generation. Madina Islamic School is an Islamic Integrated National-Plus School, offering Islamic, National, and International standards of education. It was established in 2004 and is located in the residential area of Tebet, South Jakarta. The outcome of the school are expected to possess a truly genuine character as “mu’min” and at the same time possess a high standard of academic competency, that would allow them to enroll to the top universities in Indonesia and overseas, for their certificates of education are accredited nationally and internationally. Our vision to be an integrated educational institution that can produce generations with global capacities and have characters with integrity as insan Kamil who are ready to build a civilized society. Madina Islamic School curriculum is an integrated curriculum, School core curriculum (Islamic Value), International curriculum, and National standard curriculum namely DIKNAS. Placing Al Qur’an and As-Sunnah as the ‘core’ and the ‘ultimate’ guidance and source of all skills, knowledge, and academic competency, with the process of Islamic Knowledge, Science, way of life, and culture. 7. Darul Uloom has come an extremely long way since those early days in 1985 when the school started with just a small building and even fewer resources. Our vision was to establish an institute that would create experts in the Islamic sciences who would become exemplary representatives of Islam, preserve the Islamic identity of British Muslims, and possess the necessary skills to benefit the local community and enrich the wider society. By the Grace of Allah and through the dedication and sincerity of a group of committed Muslims, we established Darul Uloom Al-Arabia Al-Islamiah in 1985. The Madrasah was one of the first of its kind in the western world. Thus, the Darul Uloom acted as a blueprint for other Madaris, and in subsequent years paved the way for many Islamic institutes to open throughout the country. Darul Uloom has served its purpose of educating thousands of students with both an understanding of the Islamic Sciences and competency in the National Curriculum subjects - a combination that has provided students the basis to pursue further education in a wide range of disciplines. Students of Darul Uloom have gone on to become great Ulema, Huffaz, and professionals in numerous sectors of society: Imams, teachers, doctors, engineers, lawyers, councilors, businessmen, and many others. In recent years, there has been a renewed, reinvigorated drive to develop and improve the standards of education further. The Madrasah has taken great strides to further that aim and there are genuine expectations for it to become a center of excellence and beacon for Islamic learning in the west. Nurturing a boy through the early stages of his life is a serious commitment and a great challenge for the 21st Century. We are educating our children for a world that is rapidly changing which requires not only an excellent foundation of learning but also the acquisition of strong Islamic principles with forward-thinking and problem-solving abilities. We believe that all our students are capable of achieving outstanding outcomes and developing into active British citizens who contribute fully to the local and global community. We promote fundamental British values and we want each pupil to question and to think and to act responsibly. Finally, and most importantly, we believe everyone will be judged by Allah (SWT) as our beloved Prophet (may peace be upon him) said: ''Every one of you is a shepherd, and every one of you will be questioned regarding his flock''. Therefore we endeavor, strive, and struggle to enable your son to achieve personal success in this world and the next. Darul Uloom Islamic High School is a unique school that provides a balance of traditional Islamic education blended with National Curriculum subjects. The School was first established with the primary goal of educating and developing the future ‘Alims, scholars, and leaders of the Muslim community in Britain ones who are well versed in Islamic knowledge but at the same time fully able to proceed on to other professional careers if they so choose ones who understand the nuances of living as a Muslim but having knowledge and respect for other cultures and beliefs. Our key aims: Instill respect, tolerance, and understanding to create an environment where learning can flourish. Teach manners, courtesy, and cohesion both within the school and outside. Teach manners, courtesy, and cohesion both within the school and outside. Nurturing ambition, openness, and community spirit for future leaders. Aspiring for the highest educational results, but from the Islamic (Hifz and ‘Alimi) courses as well as the National Curriculum subjects. We aim to offer a complete education and tarbiyyah program, nurturing and developing every aspect of a student’s heart, mind, and body so that not only are they exemplary ‘alims and sincere Muslims, they are also creative thinkers, conscientious leaders, and role models for society. DUIHS combines 1438 years of rich Islamic History and tradition with the 21st century needs of students living in modern-day Britain. We provide an exceptional all-around yet balanced Islamic and secular education for boys of secondary school age. At DUIHS we have students from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds. 16. An outstanding school situated in the heart of Manchester. Since 1991 the Manchester Islamic Educational Trust has been serving the needs of the Muslim community to provide outstanding Islamic education and academic education in a caring and nurturing environment. We at MIHSG believe that our daughters are the passport to our future, and we all have a responsibility to develop young British Muslims who are proud of their identity and go on to serve their local communities. We at Manchester Islamic High School for Girls demand academic excellence. We believe in the importance of education being delivered to our daughters in a warm, safe, and Islamic environment. We strive because we believe our daughters deserve to receive the best education, giving them the skills to flourish beyond the classroom and develop into strong Muslimahs that will benefit the Ummah and wider society. Manchester Islamic High School for Girls is an all-girls Islamic Independent school set in Chorlton, Greater Manchester. The school delivers Islamic Education and the National Curriculum within a caring and nurturing environment, following an Islamic ethos and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Manchester Islamic High School for Girls is a high achieving independent all-girls Islamic secondary school catering for the 11-16 age range in central Manchester. The school has been running for over 20 years, under the Manchester Islamic Education Trust in coordination with Manchester Muslim Preparatory School and Kassim Darwish Grammar School for Boys. We believe that we at MIHSG provide the girls with the best balance of Islamic and academic education to allow them to be successful in the akhirah as well as the Dunya. Pupils at MIHSG develop into strong, independent Muslim women who are confident in living in Britain with their Muslim identity. When completing the Common Application Form (CAF), received from your Local Education Authority it is not necessary to list MIHSG as one of your choices, as we an independent school. As the school cannot guarantee a place, it is very important that you also apply to other schools in your area. The school receives a huge volume of application forms, for 50 places that are available in Year 7. Parents should be aware that places are not guaranteed and are based on your daughter's entrance exam results and an interview with the Headteacher. Students are not allocated places under the distance criteria. In this way, a chance of being educated at MIHSG is still offered to pupils who may live further afield and in neighboring local authority areas. Siblings at any of the three schools run by Manchester Islamic Educational Trust are given priority .i.e. Manchester Muslim Preparatory School and Kassim Darwish Grammar School for Boys. Siblings are considered to be full brothers or sisters who will be living permanently with them at the same address. Reserve List The school will hold a waiting list for applicants who have been successful in the assessment process but have not been offered a place. If a place becomes available, places will be allocated from this reserve list that has been vacated and strictly in order of the admissions criteria. Parents wishing to admit their daughters at MIHSG in others year groups (8 10) should follow the standard application process and complete a registration form. Year 10 admissions only take place in the Autumn term, in exceptional circumstances we would offer places during the year. MIHSG does not admit pupils in Year 11. Alhamdulillah, through the grace of Allah along with the support of the parents and the local community, Manchester Islamic High School for Girls has been able to make great strides over the past 20 years. We at MIHSG believe that a strong relationship between the school and the parents is the key to success. We understand and appreciate that we both want the best for our daughters, therefore by giving parents a platform and a voice we can work together. Parents are welcome to visit the school and speak to their daughter's teachers. Every year group will have at least one parents evening a year, in Year 10 there is an additional Consultation Evening to discuss the GCSE options your daughter is taking and parents of daughters in Year 9 have the opportunity to also attend an Options Evening. Our school takes numerous opportunities to actively promote British Values through collective worship and whole school systems and structures such as electing and running our School Council. We also actively promote British values by ensuring that our curriculum planning and delivery includes real opportunities for exploring these values. The school does, though a wide range of activities, secure such standards and uses strategies within the National Curriculum and beyond to secure such outcomes for pupils. View full school

      23. Clear vision and perception of the right direction are the foremost factors that point to a path, ultimately leading to the destination. Being Muslims, we believe that the treasure of knowledge and wisdom shall always belong to us unless we ignore our brilliant past and least bother to recall who we are. It owes to Muslims' scarce awareness about themselves that since the last few centuries, Bu Ali Sina, Jabir Bin Hayyan, Ibn-ul-Haitham, Umar Khayyam, Al-Khwarizmi are seldom born in this unfortunate Ummah. It is startling that whatever branches of science exist today are based on research initially carried out by the same elite group of Muslim scientists. Common wisdom holds curiosity as to how they achieved such remarkable success. The only answer is: "They were loyal to Allah Almighty, and used Al Qur'an as the basic frame of reference for their research and studies. It is said that later generations kept themselves away from the areas explored by our ancestors. In contrast, the western intellect took charge of the heritage given up by Muslims, making it a base for further development that eventually leads them to the throne of dominance. During the post-renaissance era in Europe, Muslims were deliberately distracted from the course they always followed. Isolating Islam from contemporary Education led the Western World to success and simultaneously directed the Muslims to a state of affairs that eventually led to catastrophe. Resultantly, we Muslims, the past leaders, are nothing more than followers of today, trapped into whirlpools of false hopes. Without bothering to determine the correct answer to a simple question, "How" the majority of us are over-ambitious to accomplish their 'Mission' by exotically blending religion with modern Education. The programs which are seemingly inspirational for the time being, give further rise to an already widening gulf of difference between assumptions and the logical conclusions extracted from detailed research, which can be applied and sustained systematically in educational setups. Criticism or regrets can never change the past. What is gone away for good? It has become inevitable to launch a diverse educational system reinforced by Islamic values and is compatible with the needs of the current era, coupled with the potentials to resolve emerging challenges of the future. It should also serve as a platform for research and development under the umbrella of the Qur'an and Sunnah. Alhamd Islamic University was conceived by Alhamd Educational System (AES), which was established in the year 1995 with the vision of Promoting Education in all the Sectors of Education. AES is already operating several educational institutions, research & development organizations like the Balochistan Institute of Technology, BIT Girls College, Dar-e-Arqam School of Islam, and Modern Sciences, Dar-e-Arqam Girls College, and Quran Research Academy. We are incredibly grateful to Almighty Allah - The most proficient and the most merciful, who chose us for the noble cause to establish Alhamd Islamic University. Al-Hamdulillah it was formally chartered by the Government of Balochistan under the Act II of 2005. This University is a degree awarding authority in the faculties of Islam, Science, Technology, Education, Law, Arts, and Engineering. Alhamd Islamic University has a vital role in the development of skilled professionals in the fields of Islam, Science, Arts, Engineering, and Technology. It provides a caring and conducive environment to inculcate a positive attitude, progressive approach, and leadership qualities. Our mission is to provide competency-based knowledge and quality education under the shade of Islam to prepare individuals to have evident Islamic faith so that they could be spiritually strong enough to compete with the challenges of the modern era to defend the Islamic norms and ideology. We desire to make Islamic thoughts the essential and active element of Pakistan's future leaders and the Islamic world. To produce In-shaa Allah pious Muslims for today and tomorrow, for success here and hereafter Ameen. Education should cater to man's growth in all aspects: spiritual, intellectual, imaginative, physical, scientific, linguistic, both individually and collectively, and motivate these aspects towards goodness and attainment of perfection. The ultimate aim is to realize an individual's complete harmony with the will of Allah at the personal, communal, and human level. By precept and example, Education should instill piety and encourage self-purification and self-discipline as a means of penetrating the mysteries of the universe and opening the heart to the fear and love of Allah. Education should promote in man the creative impulse to rule himself and the universe as a faithful servant of Allah, not by opposing and indulging in conflict with nature but by understanding its laws and harness its forces for the growth of a personality that is in harmony with it.
      24. The foundation of the Islamic University, Islamabad, was laid on the first day of the fifteenth century Hijrah, i.e., Muharram 1, 1401 (November 11, 1980). Islamic Research Institute and few other units like Iqbal International Institute for Research & Dialogue, Dawah Academy, Shariah Academy, and Institute of Professional Development are situated within the premises of majestic Faisal Mosque (spread over an area of 189,705 square meters), which is a symbol of International Islamic brotherhood and unity. In conformance with the Islamic precepts, the University provides academic services to men and women through separate campuses for each segment. To provide every opportunity for all-round and harmonious development of individuals and society and reconstruction of human thought in all its forms on the foundations of Islam in order to encourage and promote education, training the research in Islamic learning, social, natural, applied and communication sciences and other branches of learning to ensure the Muslim Ummah's ideological, moral, intellectual, social, economic and technological development following the values, ideals, principles, and norms of Islam. To optimize integration and Islamization of the contemporary knowledge and human thought from an international perspective through established institutions and academic endeavors to achieve excellence in all knowledge branches. It is our good fortune that with a faculty comprising scholars from many other Muslim countries of the world and from Pakistan itself, we perform the task of producing young Muslim men and women, graduates, post-graduates, and PhDs, armed with confidence in themselves and their Islamic heritage, to face the problems of a fast progressing world. The IIU web portal is meant to lay before the youth, the academicians, scholars, and the enlightened public of Pakistan, the aims and objects of the International Islamic University, and the range and scope of the disciplines it offers. As you will see, the International Islamic University is not a glorified deeni madrassah as some people think it to be, but an institution in the best traditions of learning among Muslims. These noble traditions have taught us that, to be adequately educated, they must be fully acquainted with the principles of their faith as well as prepared and trained to pursue a profession in the secular field of their choice, whether it is science and technology or computers or business administration or languages or any other. International Islamic University, Islamabad, is embarking on a new phase in the history of the University. We are busy making preparations for an expansion plan both in terms of education as well as in terms of physical development. A couple of years back, the University has shifted to its new campus in Sector H-10 of Islamabad. The vast and beautiful area allocated to the International Islamic University by the Government of Pakistan provides almost unlimited expansion and diversification opportunities for the next 25 years. The University was established in 1980 to commemorate the dawn of the 15th century of Hijrah. The new century was considered by many in the Muslim World to be the beginning of a new era of unity, development, progress, and reconstruction of the Muslims' institutions. The University seeks to promote this very objective on the intellectual plane. The hallmark of the University's educational philosophy is the integration of Islamic knowledge with contemporary intellectual achievements. The courses and Islamic programs designed by the University during the last 25 years reflect the thinking and aspirations of Muslim educationists, thinkers, and leaders of Islamic revivalism who guided the Muslim Ummah during the last century. In a way, the International Islamic University is a combination of the Aligarh Muslim University's academic and intellectual traditions, the Darul Uloom of Deoband, and the Nadwat-ul-Ulama other rich academic traditions of the Sub-continent. Thus, we aim to produce profound Islamic jurists, enlightened Islamic scholars, competent economists, professional business executives, articulate litterateurs, and perceptive thinkers, with an Islamic perspective on the one hand and professionalism and depth of knowledge other. We have endeavored in this University to set specific standards and succeeded.
      25. In consonance with constitutional rights, Muslims have very recently founded Islamic primary and secondary schools within the educational system in the Netherlands. Since 1997, the IUR has been founded as a result of initiatives taken by Muslims living in the Netherlands. Since then, the IUR has been established as a Dutch University and, more importantly, an intellectual contribution of Muslims to the Dutch society. For the University to embark on a journey of continuous learning and improvement, making a bright and stimulating course of development. The University is expected to fulfill its vision by offering quality academic and professional programs that ensure a commitment to and a mastery of lifelong learning skills as well as encouraging a spirit of critical inquiry. The IUR is a learning organization of life long learners. It will be a center of educational excellence, which provides academic education (both Bachelor and Master training), disseminating knowledge to society, contributing to the improvement of human life. The students can trust the University in fulfilling their rightful expectations. Likewise, teachers are expected to deal effectively with the students’ individual wishes and needs, introducing them to the Islamic sciences and social science, in general, using the available means. Students are also expected to be appropriately advised and informed about the study programs available at the University. Demonstrable quality of service for the study programs and methodologies should be strived for. Students of the IUR should be required to take some critical courses to the Dutch context, like Islam and cultural diversity in the Netherlands, International perspectives on Islam, Islam and Citizenship, Islam and Public Ethics, and Islam and Environmental Education. The IUR has two recognized educational programs: Bachelor (B) Islamic Theology and Masters (M) Islamic Spiritual Care. Our Bachelor program was recognized in March 2013 and our Masters's program back in 2010.
