      2. At KINGSLEY, you’ll find an engaging, enriching, and enabling environment in which your kids can discover their fullest potential. They will gain a holistic education that will empower them with the right attitudes to follow their passions and find their place in the world. Kingsley's ethos echoes the wish of every parent: for his or her child to be happy, productive, and fulfilled in life. This is why we aim to inspire curiosity and bring enriching, real-world experiences into the lives of our students. We believe resilience, self-discipline, and the ability to relate to others are more vital to achievement than IQ. We care for our students with kindness and firmness – building connections with them and making them feel valued so they can be their best selves. We invest, impart and instill positive values that will empower children to be life achievers who see the importance of living purposefully and fearlessly. We recognize that for children to become confident, engaged, innovative, reflective, and respectful individuals, that’s who we first have to be. We nurture future leaders with good character, good attitude, and discipline. Our mission is to provide an enabling learning environment for our students to attain their fullest potential and to embrace our core values – ‘Invest, Impart, Instil’. To be the global platform in fostering great character, strong values, and high achievement in all our students. Kingsley International School is a Cambridge International School which adheres to the stringent standards required for Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) accreditation. We join over 10,000 schools in 160 countries that are affiliated with the international benchmark for quality education which delivers a world-class syllabus for students from primary to A-Level across the globe. What this means for Kingsley students is they will undertake a rigorous academic syllabus and eventually sit for the world’s most popular international qualification for 14 to 16 years olds which is the Cambridge IGCSE. It is important that kids feel like they matter and that they are cared for at Kingsley. We know from experience that having a secure and stable environment to learn leads to happy, confident learners. Teachers interact with students daily and take a strong interest in their concerns. They are the “first line” of support for the boys and girls here. The School also has trained pastoral staff who provide additional guiding support for kids throughout the ups and downs of their academic or personal journeys here at Kingsley. Once your child’s natural learning preference is identified, our teachers develop teaching strategies that play to his or her strengths to optimize learning. In group learning settings, our teachers make lessons accessible to all students by combining observation (visual), listening (auditory), and doing (kinaesthetic) activities. For example, students may watch a video, discuss the video, and then participate in a practical activity. View full school
      3. Excitement and enthusiasm are the most important part of choosing a school for your children. If a School, a subject, an activity, or a teacher excites your child, the hard work and intellectual effort necessary for your child's achievement will come naturally. If your child stays excited, your child will find years of great academic experience without even noticing how it happened and as parents you will be proud of your child's holistic development. The school motto "Excelsior" is a Latin and archaic English word that means "ever higher". It reflects our philosophy of pursuing excellence in every aspect of our operations and academic delivery, as well as the perseverance and determination to achieve higher goals. We are committed to excellence in education by striving to provide each student with opportunities to reach their full potential as lifelong learners in a holistic, challenging, and supportive learning environment that will ultimately prepare them to play an active and responsible role as global citizens in a multi-cultural world. Excelsior International School has established a Board of Governors, whose primary roles include enhancing school standards, setting strategic direction, and ensuring that the delivery of education is suitable to the needs, ages, and abilities of the students. Members of the Board of Governors will serve a 3-year term and will be eligible for re-appointment to further term(s). The composition of the Board of Governors is made up of academic experts, who are committed to the promotion of high standards of educational achievement. Although board members are not paid members of the School, ex-officio such as Principal and designated corporate or management employees may be invited to join Board meetings and discussions, to provide technical advice and assistance. While the Board of Governors is responsible for the objectives, overall strategic direction, and policy, the day-to-day management of the School rests firmly with the Principal and the school staff. 4. The school was designed, built, and equipped to bring the very best of the British education system, into an authentic Malaysian context. We pride ourselves on a unique atmosphere created with our large on-site community of boarders and staff – deliberately modeled on an established and traditional UK pattern of boarding. We teach the UK curriculum leading to IGCSE and A-level qualifications. Our students move on to top universities, across the globe – with the majority heading for the UK. They have a range of abilities, but our outcomes are exceptional these can only be achieved by high expectations of all, and teaching practices that are adapted to individual needs. The school’s location provides easy access to Penang International Airport, and quick connections to Singapore and all South East Asia destinations, as well of course to all parts of the globe. We enjoy ready access to the World Heritage Site of Georgetown, as well as the many smaller communities on the Island. But the campus itself enjoys a unique rural location, in the new and developing Botanica CT township. Its position ensures a safe and healthy environment, which adds to the special community atmosphere and stimulates a wide range of on-site and local activities. Boarding at the school is very popular, both full time and weekly depending on family circumstances. We have outstanding modern residential facilities, fully managed with academic and domestic staff members always available. The Principal makes new boarders promise to sound miserable when they ring home for the first time some parents are disappointed they are not missed as much as they would hope! That is the success of our boarding. We are fully co-educational from year 7 to 13. Admissions can be at any time by arrangement, and we will always give sound advice to applicants. If we think a young person will not thrive here, we will say so. But for the vast majority of young people, POWIIS offers a wonderful opportunity for personal growth and fulfillment. We work hard at caring for and nurturing, every individual with a pastoral care system second to none. Our academic results are outstanding, but we know success in life is not guaranteed by qualifications alone. We have a vibrant cultural diversity, but we study and communicate in English. Our students work hard at their language development, at the same time developing personal qualities, oratory and performance skills, and social sophistication. View full school
      5. Our society is full of proverbial street directories which show many ways to financial, relationship, and life success. However, what our young generation needs is not a street directory but a navigator that provides guidance. In these postmodern times, content from new media cannot be entirely trusted let alone hold up absolute answers. Our youths are inundated with countless advertising messages daily, much of which is sheer hype. With young people spending significantly more hours online than ever before, our youths need to acquire the ability to process information and make wise and compassionate choices that are aligned with their values. At Sri Emas International School, we may not have all the answers, but we will continue to encourage our teachers and students to ask questions and guide them to become pro-active learners and responsible leaders. The concept for Sri Emas International School originated from the ACE EdVenture Programme, first developed by Anne Tham to make education fun for children. Before she started the program, she was first a teacher and even worked as the Head of English at a renowned private college in the Klang Valley. It was there that she noticed the lack of academic skills and language capabilities that many school leavers and graduates exhibit. Determined to make a difference, Anne Tham came up with the idea to provide school students with essential learning foundations by starting the ACE EdVenture Programme in 1995. What first started as a tuition center in her home quickly expanded as more parents saw the positive effects that her teaching methods had on their children. Today, the ACE EdVenture Programme consists of myriad tuition centers, language centers, and schools among them, Sri Emas International School. The school’s curriculum combines the group’s fun, engaging teaching methods with the internationally recognized Cambridge curriculum that results in a proven track record of confident, innovative students. Teachers at Sri Emas International School are well-equipped with the knowledge of the subject that they teach as well as professional industry experience that will be able to help students see the relationship between textbook information and the world around them. Sri Emas International School is a school that does not believe in the conventional way of teaching. The school employs the use of right-brained activities (like dancing, drawing, and singing) to help students learn left-brained subjects (such as science and mathematics). Students of the school can expect an educational experience that takes their imagination and skills beyond the boundaries of the classroom. The school aims to provide an all-rounded education that focuses not only on enhancing the grades of the students but also on nurturing their personalities. The achievements and continued innovation of the ACE EdVenture Programme’s and Sri Emas International School’s unique approach to education have not gone unnoticed. To name a few, Sri Emas International School has been a regular feature in the annual Cambridge University Students’ Union’s yearbooks for years 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017. Not only that, the group picked up the SME100 Fast-Moving Companies award 2014 and the ASEAN Business Award 2015 for SME Excellence in Innovation. Aside from the recognition gained by the group and the school, our founder, Anne Tham, was the top 3 nominee for the EY Entrepreneur of the Year (Women Category) 2015 and was also named Woman of the Year 2016 by Her World Magazine. And it doesn’t stop there. Passionate about pioneering great ways in helping students to enjoy learning, Sri Emas International School’s team of teachers, together with ACE EdVenture Studio have developed the Chemistry role-playing game ChemCaper. As of 2017, the school has implemented the use of the game in its curriculum. The game is the first of its kind in the world and was created to be able to help children learn Chemistry in a fun way on the devices that they are so comfortable with. Equally, ChemCaper has gained recognition and several awards. Among them would be the APICTA Award 2016 for Best E-Learning for both Malaysia and the Asian region as well as the IMGA Award 2016 for Best Meaningful Play (Asian Level). View full school
      6. Fairview School is a rapidly expanding group of International Baccalaureate World Schools in Malaysia and beyond. Fairview IB education was offered to 300 students on a single campus. Today, we boldly embrace 3000 IB students from 55 countries on 5 strategically located campuses in Malaysia. Indeed Fairview has charted its course while achieving milestones IB education has never witnessed in Malaysia. Apart from just physical changes in infrastructure in all of our campuses making them more student-friendly, wireless with high-speed broadband services, and providing the much-required facilities befitting an International Baccalaureate(IB) World School, the academic faculty has seen a major transformation. Continuous professional development, the backbone of any learning organization has seen the introduction of consistent and sustainable initiatives in a calculated move to ensure that teachers are thorough and developed regularly with the latest in educational initiatives and postgraduate teaching qualifications. With 4 campuses authorized for the Primary Years Programme(PYP) and the Middle Years Programme(MYP) of the IB and the first in Malaysia to contain the two programs under one roof, it is our duty to only offer nothing but the best in professional development for our teachers. Serving the Malaysian International Community since 1978, Fairview is a global network of 5 schools currently located across Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Subang, Johor, and Ipoh). Four of our schools are authorized IB World Schools for children aged 3 – 19, with the fifth, Fairview Ipoh at the candidate stage. Fairview has grown from 300 IB students in one campus to over 3000 students from 55 countries and a teaching faculty of over 300 teachers spanning across 5 campuses. Our network of schools is authorized for 10 IB Programmes, making us the champion of IB Education in Malaysia. The time-tested UK National Curriculum forms the backbone of our educational program within the IB Curriculum Framework. The Fairview experience grounded by core pedagogies like inquiry-based learning, Concept-based teaching, and learning, and trans-disciplinary pedagogy makes for a truly unique and formidable educational journey. The belief that ‘good teachers make for good learning’ is deeply ingrained into the Fairview ethos. Teachers are nurtured through an advanced systematic professional development program. Lifelong learning takes on a new meaning at Fairview as teachers and learners both learn together and from each other! Every year, over 40 teachers are recognized for their contribution to the school by being offered a Masters in Education Full Scholarship in association with Sheffield Hallam University (UK). With over 120 Masters's students in Fairview at any one time, lifelong learning, a unique culture that believes in continuous personal development, self-efficacy, and pushing the boundaries of education is fostered. At Fairview, we believe it is only when our educators approach education with humility, an open mind, and excitement at the possibilities within that we may be able to unlock the potential in the students placed in our charge. The 2015 results of the IB Diploma program bear testimony to the unique Fairview culture. By committing to the delivery of a holistic academic program integrating the development of skills (Approaches to Learning – ATL), values (Learner Profile), and experiential learning (Community, Action, Service – CAS), we can nurture learners who are academically inspirational and holistically balanced. Our students achieved outstanding results with the highest score being 42 out of the maximum of 45. While the world average stood at 30, Fairview’s average was a stunning 36 with 61 % of our students gaining either 6 or 7 points out of the maximum of 7 and a 100% pass rate. In 2015, our students expectedly received offers and scholarships for admittance at world-renowned universities like London School of Economics (Scholarship – Economics), Kings College (Scholarship – Dentistry), University of British Columbia (Scholarship – Engineering), and University of Melbourne (Scholarship – Chemical Engineering). Annual Expeditions to local and international destinations bring learning outside the 4 classroom walls, creating contextual connections to the educational experiences. Students bring home invaluable experiences as they scale the Great Wall of China whilst empathizing with the incredible sacrifices borne by the laborers, all the time making connections between cause and causation, finally reflecting on its relevance to the current day. Students at Fairview are introduced to the concept of international-mindedness from the many Fairs, Celebrations, and Food Festivals held in the School. However, to truly internalize the concept, the student organizes FairMUN (Model United Nations) conference that brings together over 300 students from around the region to discuss, challenge, and explores the many impossible decisions made by world leaders. Fairview also organized the World Scholars Cup competition, bringing over 3000 students together from around the world to KL. A curriculum based on the best research evidence and successful teaching and learning strategies for children of diverse backgrounds and learning needs. A vibrant center for educational, recreational, cultural, and social programs for children and adults in an international community that draws upon and contributes to the vitality of the international community through an innovative and focused curriculum. A culture of continuous professional growth for all staff, Fairview functions as a “Hub” for educators throughout the world, regularly engaging teachers in a wide range of learning opportunities that promote ongoing professional growth. Fairview International School aims to be a vibrant center for educational, personal, and social growth in the world providing a rich academic curriculum for children in the local and international community. Through the use of best practices in teaching and learning, Fairview International School will educate, motivate and inspire students in an educational environment that stimulates learning in a nurturing social and emotional climate. Fairview School is committed to raising the standards of education not only in its schools but in the region through continuous training and development in the best possible teaching pedagogies. The Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) awarded by the Ontario Ministry of Education, Canada, is recognized internationally for admission into university and professional studies. The International Baccalaureate (IB) program offers a unique academic rigor and emphasizes students' personal development. The program aims to do more than curricula by developing inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring young people who are motivated to succeed. The program encourages both personal and academic achievement, challenging students to excel in their studies and their personal development. At SIS, we are implacable on our core principle – courses are taught by fully certified professionals licensed by the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT), or certified by professional teaching bodies. This accreditation distinguishes SIS teachers as professionals whose teaching practices are guided and informed by internationally benchmarked standards and practices. SIS teachers bring a wide variety of teaching and learning strategies into and beyond the classroom to ensure the greatest learning opportunities for our students. Learning in SIS focuses on your child as an individual, able to think reflectively, inquisitively, and above all, to be a life-long learner. Everyone has a specific skill that they can harness and build upon, and our curriculum is delivered in a conducive and cognitively stimulating environment that will inspire your child to participate actively and put in their best efforts. SIS has a comfortable and supportive environment that encourages every student to excel academically and personally. Each teaching group is small enough to provide individual attention and allow each student to be nurtured and developed to their full potential. Our engrossing and exciting learning environment allows students to make meaningful links between textbooks and the world beyond their classrooms. Parents play an important role in their child’s progress in education, and good students become even better when their parents are involved and interested. We encourage parent involvement in their children’s curricular and extra-curricular development as it provides an opportunity for parents to collaborate with the teachers to share and shape their children’s progress. At SIS, events like ‘Meet Teachers Night’ and ‘Parents Hi-tea’ are held throughout the semester for parents and guardians to meet with teachers and administrators to work together, to bring about the best outcomes for our students. All of SIS’ teachers are certified by professional teaching bodies. Their professional qualifications and classroom experience mean that our teachers implement a wide variety of teaching and learning strategies, along with different types of assessment and evaluation methods to ensure all students experience exceptional learning opportunities. As parents, you can be confident that your children are in the care of highly qualified, dedicated, and caring educators focused on helping every child reach their fullest potential. SIS is equipped with state-of-the-art learning facilities - wireless internet (WiFi) connection across our premise, access to individual personal computers, and classroom teaching using interactive whiteboards. Our e-learning course management system permits teachers to share daily assignments and learning resources with students and parents. The program is student-centered, where students are taught knowledge, skills, and understanding not just to write exams, but to take this knowledge to apply it, to think critically, and communicate it. It is a unique style of teaching/learning and our students not only enjoy it but are well-positioned for success in post-secondary programs at English-speaking universities around the world. From Grade 7 to Grade 12, we concentrate on English literacy and Mathematics numeracy. We offer a semester model with an emphasis on project-based learning, assignments, experiential field trips, independent research, and group work. The IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) is an academically challenging and balanced pre-university program that prepares students, aged 16 - 19, for success at university and life beyond. It has been designed to address the intellectual, social, emotional, and physical well-being of students. Students are provided a great variety of enriching extra-curricular activities that allow them to further build on their understanding of teamwork, collaboration, and service to others. In sports, we are members of the International Schools Athletic Council (ISAC) and compete in basketball, football, and more. We also offer a rich and balanced selection of clubs for students throughout the school year to explore their interests and build upon their confidence and skills. SIS’s teachers instructing our Ontario courses receive annual certification by the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT), or any other certified teaching credentials, which means in addition to subject expertise, they have additional qualifications in teaching. Their professional qualifications and classroom experience mean that our teachers implement a wide variety of teaching and learning strategies, along with different types of assessment and evaluation methods to ensure all students experience exceptional and rich learning opportunities. I am particularly proud of our staff’s commitment and passion for learning in the classroom. 12. Welcome to the academic year 2017-18. In this new school year of learning and growing, we will aim at setting and reaching attainable goals while working harder and smarter by taking our school and student achievement to the next level. Melaka International School (MIS) was the brainchild of Allahyarham the late, Dr. Mohamed Ishak Syed Ahmed, and his wife Mrs. Shamsunnisa Ishak. MIS was established in early 1993 with the support of the State Economic Development Corporation and The Melaka Foundation, modeled on the British school system. The School was located in Jalan Taming Sari and had a modest beginning with two kindergarten students. It, later on, offered elementary and secondary education. With an increased number of students and teachers, it moved to a bigger site on Jalan Kubu. In 2004, work began on a present five-acre site at Taman Siantan in Tengkera with a vision to have a school with a world-class infrastructure while incorporating features to create awareness in global warming. Two acres of the land have been converted into an organic farm with features like solar energy power, a rainwater retention pond to recycle water, recycling of organic waste, and organic fertilizer. Being the first Green School in Malaysia, classrooms are designed with state-of-the-art architecture for comfort and to maximize the output of both students and teachers. The classroom size is optimum, designed for no more than 25 students. Furniture and classroom ambiance is a result of careful planning. Cheerful colors, balanced lighting, and careful positioning of workspaces contribute to the overall feeling of comfort. Education is integrated and activity-based. Assessment is a continuous process at Melaka International School and students are descriptively profiled on their cognitive, affective, and psychomotor skills. We have more than 5,000 books, a ratio of 36 books to each student, covering a wide range of subjects such as social sciences, Information Technology, philosophy, religion, science, and fiction in English and Bahasa Malaysia. There are also local and international magazines and local newspapers. ICT is an integral part of educational activities in the School. Over fifty computers are placed in the Labs exclusively for students' use. These machines are supplied with state-of-the-art architectural software and broadband internet. Science is not only knowledge but also an art. This art is explored, experimented and practiced in three Science Labs. There are three Science Labs at Melaka International School. They are equipped with resources meant for Elementary, Middle, Secondary, and Senior Secondary students. Students enjoy fun experiments: Science fair ideas, Electrical and Electronic component usage, Magical power of magnets, Light characteristics, Life science activities, Microorganism slides, Human anatomy charts, Models, Dissecting sets, and microscopes. The MIS canteen offers fresh food all the time. Organic Vegetables are directly brought from the School's Organic farm. Based on produce, menus are designed weekly and changed to suit the requirements of the school. When planning menus, the focus is on providing variety and choice whilst stimulating the imagination and encouraging most pupils to eat a healthy meal daily. View full school

      14. Fairview Johor (FISJ) an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School stands proud within a new purpose-built campus amid the bustling Tebrau area in Bandar Dato Onn. Easily accessible from Singapore and within minutes of the Senai International Airport, FISJ has attracted a fairly balanced diversity in the student population. Our main focus is to provide a rich academic curriculum and thus our advent into IB. Using the UK National Curriculum as our solid base and the IB curriculum framework to envelope it, we have devised a learning journey that matters to our digital-age students. Students no longer need to rely on one author’s perspective and memories textbooks to ace examinations. Students in Fairview are exposed to myriad approaches to learning, learn life skills rather than to score in examinations, share and collaborate in learning while at the same time take responsibility for their learning. Action and service form an integral component of the curriculum and the whole school community share in the learning experience. ‘An instrument a child’ – all students must learn a musical instrument as part of the curriculum. ‘Edu Resort’ –styled along the lines of an Outward Bound adventure, students experience a week in our very own beach resort in Port Dickson, Malaysia. Expeditions – Bi-Annual overseas expeditions for Middle school students build in the life skills of survival, camaraderie spirit, independence, taking calculated risks, caring, sharing, open-mindedness, and of course being reflective. Stress is placed on co-curricular activities and healthy competitions among other schools are encouraged. We offer a widespread range of uniformed groups, clubs, and games for all children ranging from the Primary Years to the Middle Years. We believe that the community must be part of the learning process of the students. Parents join in classroom learning experiences with students, partake in events and initiate activities that would be beneficial to the learning journey. Coffee mornings, carnival, National Days, traditional festivals, and other special days or events, like Pink Month, 30 hours fast for World Vision, and various other charitable activities are heavily patronized by our parent community. Our academic staff strength boasts of Ph.D. and Masters Holders in education and hail from several countries. All staff has to attend weekly professional development sessions apart from the mandatory workshops conducted by the IB Office. As the ONLY IB World School in Johor for the Primary Years and Middle Years Programme, I am proud to say that we have established a niche in IB education for the past 7 years not just for the 21st century and beyond but in general for a better world. Established in 1978, Fairview International School Johor Bahru (FISJB) is the premier international school in Malaysia that offers the whole suite of IB curriculum. Our highly qualified teachers, predominantly internationally trained and experienced teachers deliver quality education to students from pre-school to Year 12, culminating in the widely recognized IB Diploma. At FISJB, our students are encouraged to explore and discover in a learning environment that embraces individual abilities. A culture of continuous professional growth for all staff, Fairview functions as a “Hub” for educators throughout the world, regularly engaging teachers in a wide range of learning opportunities that promote ongoing professional growth... 20. A wise old saying goes, “A school is described as a building that has four walls…. with tomorrow inside.” VIS embodies this idea by giving its students the strong roots that they need, to soar successfully in their endeavors. Though VIS is young in terms of years since its inception, it has earned a good reputation over a short period. It is a co-educational institution that has classes from Pre-Kindergarten to secondary level. There is only a maximum of 20 students per class. This class strength ensures that the teachers can give individual and undivided attention to every student. The student's progress is monitored closely and reviewed by frequent examinations. We, at VIS, inculcate confidence into each student by introducing them to public speaking, in classes as early as kindergarten. VIS has a dedicated team of highly qualified and experienced teaching professionals. Our strength lies in the fact that we treat every student as a unique individual. We bring out their inherent talents and abilities. We aim to identify, tap and develop the child’s potential. At VIS, the students are stimulated to develop a more universal approach wherein they are put at ease by interacting with people of varying lifestyles, cultures, and nationalities. The Principal, Vice Principal, and Coordinators work as a strong network to maintain the school’s academic standards, discipline, and decorum. VIS emphasizes the need to have co-curricular activities on par with the regular academic curriculum. We stress the imperative need for all students to participate in a host of activities viz. SUPW [Socially Useful Productive Work], music, dance, art, craft, Taekwondo, Yoga, etc… Students are encouraged to hone their talents in other fields and activities. The proficiency of students in other languages is further enhanced by making them participate in activities such as debates, group discussions, recitations, and elocutions. Such co-curricular activities are an integral part of their daily timetable. They complement what the students are learning in the classroom. We groom the Children to become Morally Strong, Academically Intelligent, Emotionally Balanced, Problem Solver, Critical & Analytical Thinker, Goal Achiever. Our commitment to excellence in education stems from the firm belief that education provides the foundation for an accomplished nation. It is the main reason for our perseverance in our determination to provide education of the highest quality to all who pass through our doors. VIKAS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL focuses on a practical approach to prepare children in facing real-life issues and succeeds in their future endeavors. We create an ideal environment through which students become competitive and are educated for knowledge creation, lifelong learning, and leadership. They will take leading roles in their future working environment: directing changes, solving problems, and developing new knowledge. View full school

      22. Sayfol International School is an institution of learning where children from 60 different countries of the world are educated, whereby we endeavor to blend this international mixture of children causing a special effect of cordiality and harmony between one another in a manner so deep and sincere that once within the campus of the school, we believe and consider all of us, teachers and the support staff as one united family – The SAYFOL Family. The primary aim of the school is to offer its students a sound education of high academic standards with a strong focus on discipline and academic studies. The school’s exceptionally outstanding academic examination results in the Pearson Edexcel International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) examinations reflect that we remain amongst the highest achieving schools in the world. There is no success without discipline. Within the school, the students are taught the fundamentals of good conduct and self-discipline at all times as well as to respect others and to maintain high standards of politeness. These fundamentals are imparted to the child very carefully, constantly tempered with love and affection. At Sayfol, we believe that a high level of moral fiber is essential. We help the students both directly through discussions and indirectly through their experiences during curricular and extra-curricular activities, to overcome the problems and temptations they may face in life. Too often children and young adults are undermined by criticism. The Sayfolian is taught to have the confidence to face adverse situations and comment with reason and not emotion, objectively not subjectively as well as not to dissipate its valuable energy and intellect by being perturbed or negatively influenced by outside comments, opinions, or actions. Here the students are taught to look after themselves and their belongings. They are put into positions of responsibility both in the class and in the school in general. They learn not only the qualities of responsibility and leadership but also the various skills needed for independence. We are excited about the teaching and learning that is happening in the school this year, which allows our teachers to support the holistic development of each child. Not only striving for strong academic achievement, but we will also be focusing on the 21st-century skills of collaboration, communication, critical thinking, creativity, and connectedness in our classrooms. In our Kindergarten and Primary One classrooms, our teachers have enjoyed the introduction of the International Early Years Program (IEYC) by Fieldworks. This integrated curriculum program uses international best practices, holistic inquiry, and play-based approaches to focus on the personal, social and emotional development of our young learners. Language-rich classrooms help to further develop their English language skills. In primary school, our students will continue to support their academic achievement through Project-Based Learning. This allows our students to showcase their understanding of the concepts being taught in the classrooms in a fun and interactive way. At the secondary level, our students continue to achieve high results in their IGCSE and IAL exams, with students scoring the highest marks in the World in Math and Further Pure Maths and highest marks in Asia Global Citizenship. Their new timetables provide our secondary students with the opportunity to meet new friends in each of their classrooms, and to take part in the Co-curricular and Extracurricular activities programs and Class Excursions. In the classrooms, our students are continuing to utilize technology to not only access teacher resources, but also to support their learning. View full school

It is our ultimate aim to transform future generations of children into individuals and adults who embody integrity in every aspect of their lives. Borneo International School wants our students to grow up with commendable values and adopt qualities that stand out for good citizenship and a respectful fear of God.
