  1. The focus of the ISS International Business School of Service Management is on the support and development of organizations where service is – or will become – an essential element of the business model. The ISS assists companies, nationally and internationally, with their transformation projects, including assessments, consulting, professional development, and management training. As a "Business School, "we regard an organization's strategic direction and its operational implementation as two inseparable elements required to achieve the market's planned impact. For that reason, initiatives that actively promote an organization's transformation are an integral part of our offering. People from client organizations actively participate in analysis and consulting projects. In professional development and training programs, transfer projects – so-called 'Real Life projects (RLPs)' - provide the link to participants' daily practice and organizational reality and demonstrate the return on investment (ROI) of the program. The ISS International Business School of Service Management has five years of experience developing and implementing academic study programs focusing on management and developing organizations where services are – or will be become - an essential part of the business model. The ISS intends to include these master programs and the MBA Service Management into another university's programs. To this end, talks have been started. Please send us an e-mail if you are interested in participating in the ISS part-time studies, either as a student or as an organization. The recognition of the ISS International Business School of Service Management as a University for Management and Business Development by §§ 114, 115 of the State of Hamburg's University legislation became valid with the launch of the first program on January 11, 2008, and expired on September 30, 2014. The public recognition included the following programs accredited by FIBAA ISS's business as a publicly-recognized University for programs with a focus on Service management is not economically sustainable for this topic, given the number of enrolled students. Therefore, at the end of the year 2013, the decision was taken to cease operations as the an independent University of the State of Hamburg and not apply for a prolongation of public recognition. As a result, two other accredited Master's Programs have not been started within the recognition framework as a public University of the State of Hamburg. The ISS intends to include these master programs and the MBA Service Management into another university's programs. To this end, talks have been started. Service First: Leveraging service as a success factor for organizations is the philosophy of ISS. We assist our customers in orienting their strategies towards their future markets, and we provide targeted organizational and personal development programs. At the ISS, we define service as a provider/customer interaction that creates value for all the parties involved. The ISS International Business School of Service Management, Hamburg, offers consulting and professional qualification services for organizations, managers, and employees based on academic research and practical feasibility. The objective is the successful implementation of future-oriented services in an international environment. With services, either as a product-related or stand-alone version, different perspectives have to be combined to offer real added value for all the partners involved: Service provider and customer, experience and innovation, people and systems, results and experience. With its programs, the ISS strengthens organizations' service orientation and supports the development of sustainable partnerships with customers. Also, it assists in developing the competencies required for the development, marketing, and realization of future-oriented customer solutions - for business support that generates growing customer delight and loyalty. Markets are changing; new technologies produce innovations, economic, legal, or political conditions are shifting, new business owners define new targets and cultures – there are many reasons why change is required. As resources are limited, clear priorities have to be set – not everything that needs to be adapted or modified can be changed simultaneously, and interdependencies have to be considered. Hence the question: Where to start? Which changes and actions have the highest impact on market acceptance and customer loyalty on the one hand, and which ones help, on the other hand, to focus resources effectively, to increase efficiency, and to boost profitability? The ISS offers specific approaches to analyze an organization's external and internal environments to identify the most powerful levers for change. The ISS cooperates with you to develop the required strategies, concepts, and implementation measures, whose execution will also be monitored. A traffic light system will show you where corrective action is required. Still, not all topics are "our topics "- our approaches do not always work. Therefore, a clear 'No' in the beginning is more honest and better – the recommendation to look for alternative solutions leads to customer retention and loyalty. However, we will first discuss and evaluate whether we can jointly develop a sustainable solution. We are looking forward to this type of exchange with you, and we will make the required time available. Do you want to start and inform us about your challenges?

  3. The most critical decisions regarding the operation of the University are made by the Governing Board, which consists of ministers leading the Prime Minister's Office, the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Interior, and the Ministry of Justice. Simultaneously, the Public Administration Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade also takes part empowered with consultation rights. As far as the University's daily work is concerned, the main decision-making body is the Senate, led by the Rector. The Vice-Rectors aid the work of the Rector in the various professional fields. The Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs coordinates all the educational affairs, including the Office of Education, the Central Office of Studies, and the Institute of Disaster Management. The Vice-Rector for International Affairs is responsible for establishing and maintaining the international relations of NUPS via the International Relations Office. The Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs manages all scientific activities of the University, oversees the Doctoral Schools, the Office of Scientific Affairs, the Central Library of the University, the Institute of National Security, and scientific quality assurance processes. Other vital positions are that of the Secretary-General and the Chief Financial Director. The Secretary-General is responsible for the Rector's Office and the central management of the University. The Office of Finance controls and directs the Financial Office's work and is responsible for all financial matters regarding the operation of NUPS. The University has five faculties. The Faculty of Military Sciences and Officer Training educates professional military officers for the Hungarian Defense Forces. The Faculty of Law Enforcement trains students in Criminal Administration, Law Enforcement Administration bachelor programs, and a Law Enforcement master program. The Faculty of Science of Public Governance and Administration aims to educate professional civil servants for all state administration levels. The Faculty of International and European Studies was established on the 1st of February 2015. It is the center of international public service and security policy training. The Faculty of Water Sciences, the latest faculty of NUPS, was established on the 1st of February 2017. It deals with the management of water resources that have vital strategic importance. Besides the five faculties, there are also several inter-faculty institutes at NUPS. These are the Institute for Research and Development on State and Governance, the Institute of National Security, the Institute of Disaster Management, and the Centre for Strategic and Defence Studies. The Students' Unions are present on both University and faculty levels, where active student members represent fellow students' rights and interests. The Student Union of Doctoral Students also represents the rights of doctoral students. A diverse set of student colleges for advanced studies are also to be found at NUPS. These not only organize the scientific efforts of students but serve as social organizations too. Members of these student colleges for advanced studies can participate in research projects, study trips, and later publish their results. In addition to the student colleges, scientific student associations can also be found at each faculty, where students can gain extra knowledge in their specific fields of interest. NUPS offers a unique environment as its student body incorporates cadets, future police officers, and civilian students to become national public administration or international administration professionals. The most exciting part of being a student of the University is to experience its vibrant and diverse community. The management of NUPS and the leading student organizations are continuously offering programs to bring together its faculties and institutions. The Fall Semester's programs include the academic year's opening ceremony, the Freshman Ball, and the symbolic event of students' inauguration. Furthermore, each November is regarded as the month of science, celebrated with open lectures and seminars, presentations of young researchers throughout the country. NUPS regularly organizes a ball where students, lecturers, and the administrative staff can come together in a formal yet enjoyable environment. The Spring Semester also offers various colorful programs, such as the Faculty Days, including entertaining events and professional conferences. The academic year is closed with a ceremonial farewell of graduates who are awarded the University Ring. To further enhance the co-operation between the various public service branches, NUPS has also been organizing joint exercises for students of all faculties. These events focus on different issues (imaginary crises) that need to be solved through program participants' teamwork. Recent examples of these events were exercise 'Wild Water' ('Vadvíz') and 'Bulwark' ('Végvár') held in April 2013 and April 2014. In 2014, the latter focused on an unexpected (and, of course, simulated) armed attack against the country with more than 800 students. In 2016 'The Storm' ('Vihar') focused on an unexpected nature-caused crisis. These exercises were realized with students' participation from all of NUPS's faculties and have demonstrated the importance and prospects of co-operation between and among future officers of the Hungarian Defence Forces, law enforcement members, and officials at all levels of Hungarian public administration. Student organizations also offer opportunities for additional academic efforts and research. Several extraordinary student communities are operating as groups of socially sensitive intellectuals devoted to their (and their fellow students') talent management. These communities are found in all faculties of NUPS and are open to students with a stronger thirst for knowledge. Another form of intellectual self-development is the participation in the so-called scientific students' associations. In essence, these communities provide a forum for talented students to publish and present their scientific/academic works, thereby aiding them in their first steps towards Ph.D. studies. Due to the work of the Erasmus Student Network (ESN), international students are always invited to events and parties organized by the various student organizations. In contrast, the International Relations Office invites international students to all relevant conferences and scientific programs in English. One of the University's most popular series of events is the Ludovika Ambassadors' Forum. Ambassadors accredited to Hungary share their thoughts about current international affairs issues related to Hungary and their respective country. Representing students' interests is also very important for NUPS. The Students' Union helps our students respect and actively participate in every vital decision-making body of NUPS. A similar role is allocated to the Doctoral Students' Union, representing all Ph.D. students of the University. These organizations also offer a wide range of events for students. The convenient geographical location of Hungary allows us to present our students with a possibility for international outreach. The Students' Union of NUPS organizes three journeys throughout the academic year for students who like to visit other countries' capitals. These programs are trendy, with several buses rented for Prague, Vienna, and Warsaw. Once they arrive in these cities, participants can go on sightseeing tours visiting museums and main historical and cultural attractions, and attend clubs and pubs at night.
  4. Today, the Shonai area in the Tohoku region's top west corner is brimming with a mood of creativity and enterprise. This new spirit has given rise to a new university. The twentieth century was the era that focused on money and material goods and capital and the market rule, but the twenty-first century is the era of people and mind/heart that we call "Koeki." This will be a world in which children will live as they should, and people as humanely as they possibly can. In our university, students will broaden their minds and deepen their specialist knowledge through our education to respond to these changes in social ethnography and contribute to the harmonious development of cultural exchange, welfare, and economics. Koski University was initially established in 2001 with the enthusiastic demand from the local people and government. In the beginning, we started with the invaluable assistance of Keio University. We started with a single department and a single faculty. By 2014, two departments - Departments of Business/ Policy Management and Cross-Cultural Studies - were set up, the latter of which the International Liberal Arts Program was newly created to develop a global point of view. We received a COC grant from the Ministry of Education to pursue revitalization and recreation of the local community. We strive to contribute to society and local communities through our unique educational system and learning methodology from a global standpoint in the coming years.

  8. View full university
  9. Drumbeat serves boys and girls aged 4-19 within Lewisham who have been diagnosed with the highest level of autistic needs. We aim to meet the needs of very special children and young people and support them to make continued progress in their learning and acquisition of life skills. Our vision is simple – to put our children and young people first every time. We believe that all our children should leave Drumbeat independent, confident, caring, ambitious, courageous, safe, respectful, resilient, and successful. Our school values underpin everything we do at Drumbeat. Drumbeat is a center of excellence with a strong mission and purpose to transform CYP’s lives, and the lives of their families, for the better. Its work should be groundbreaking, innovative, and creative, with a 21st-century pedagogy that puts the CYP’s needs at the heart of everything it does. Drumbeat’s work draws from the latest research in Autism to build upon ‘tried & tested’ practice and shape teaching approaches closely to children’s learning styles. Teaching will be unswervingly personalized so CYP actively and meaningfully engages in learning. A high priority will be given to developing effective communication approaches. Underpinning the school’s values will be a comprehensive understanding of the link between behavior and communication, recognizing that behavior is communication. Through proper interpretation, understanding and meeting needs, and enabling children to communicate their needs and desires effectively, it is possible to reduce challenging behaviors. We have a very strong shared vision that was developed after discussion with staff, governors, students, and parents. When students leave Drumbeat they should be Independent, caring, ambitious, confident, safe, courageous, respectful, resilient, and successful. Drumbeat’s staff will be reflective practitioners, who strive to refine, improve, and ‘open up their practice. Drumbeat will be ambitious for its pupils, striving to transform their lives, unlocking their potential, and helping them to become as independent as practicable so that as adults they become capable of contributing positively to the local community. Drumbeat will work closely with Health, Social Care, and Voluntary Agencies so services are wrapped around the child in a truly transdisciplinary way, putting the child and family at the center. Drumbeat’s transdisciplinary work will include school employed speech and language therapist (SaLT), occupational therapist (OT), music therapist (MT), and clinical psychologist (CP) who will be an integral part of the school team and work closely with children and young people, families, teachers, and TAs. Drumbeat’s children and young people will work in an environment: That is an expert in ASD, With a ‘can do’ culture, With high expectations, That nurtures the holistic development of the child and young person, That is caring, safe, happy, positive and supportive, That helps pupils build upon their strengths and interests, That enables them to reach their full potential within the context of their individual needs, That values equality of opportunity and actively encourages pupils to exercise control over their lives, Where children and young people will be treated with dignity and prized for the contributions they make, Where individual differences will be recognized, respected, and celebrated, Where pupils’ voice is respected and listened to, however subtle or loud, Where parents and carers will be consulted, listened to, respected, and supported.
