- R.E.A.L International Schools is committed to the principle of equal opportunity in education. The school does not discriminate against individuals based on race, religion, or ethnicity in its admission process. However, we may take into consideration an applicant’s prior educational background and linguistic ability at the entry-level. We encourage parents to submit their applications early, as there are waiting lists for selected key stages at the school. Due to the various national and international school systems and academic year dates, our enrolment is open throughout the year but places are subject to availability. Our team welcomes the opportunity to meet and guide you through the application process, as well as giving you a tour of our schools. Please contact our respective campuses in advance via phone or email to arrange for a personalized appointment. R.E.A.L Schools provides hostel facilities at selected campuses with priority given to both local and foreign students from outstation and abroad. Our hostel accommodation comes equipped with all the basic amenities such as wireless internet connectivity service (WiFi) as well as a 24-hour CCTV security system, among other things. The aim is to create a ‘home away from home environment that meets the needs, safety, comfort, and convenience of our students. Admission into the hostel is a separate process from admission into the school. New applicants who wish to apply for boarding accommodation are required to submit the Hostel Application Form during the admission process. At R.E.A.L Schools, we pride ourselves in giving students a distinct and diverse range of learning experiences that not only enhance their knowledge and skills but nurture talent and potential as well. These broad scopes of educational endeavors encompass everything from student excursions to practical learning platforms. R.E.A.L International Schools has long been an avid advocate of promoting greater student interest in Science & Technology. This overriding objective has been supported by fully-equipped Science labs and unique opportunities afforded to students such as the Cambridge IGCSE Practical Science subject. We are one of only two schools in Malaysia certified by Cambridge UK to run this program. We house dedicated labs that cater to one Science subject each, from Physics to Chemistry and Biology. In addition, there is a state-of-the-art ‘fume chamber’ for Chemistry experiments to be conducted safely and effectively. Other exceptional exercises which are part of R.E.A.L Schools’ hands-on learning approach include ‘Red Cabbage Chemistry’ – where students learn how to create their pH indicator to test the acidity or alkalinity of just about any liquid or substance – as well as organizing Science Fairs and field trips to places like the National Science Centre where we broaden students’ horizons and pique their curiosity towards science and discovery. Enhancing the ‘Technology’ effort is the school’s innovative LEGO & Robotics program which is incorporated into the curriculum itself to offer students a truly stimulating and enjoyable educational experience. Students are not only able to exercise their creativity in building a multitude of LEGO block designs, but also learn basic computer programming skills to operate robotic models in performing simple tasks. To this end, R.E.A.L Schools provide sophisticated ICT labs and training expertise for a program that is not only fun but develops students’ problem-solving and critical thinking capacities as well. R.E.A.L Schools is a diverse community of learning that is committed to delivering holistic education by offering students outstanding opportunities and practical learning platforms that enable them to explore lessons beyond books. At the same time, we nurture their character, collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and creativity. Cahaya Campus, Johor Bahru was the third and newest private school to be established under the R.E.A.L Education Group. Established in 2008, this second Cahaya Campus follows in the footsteps of its sister schools by offering both international and national curriculums within one family campus. Located about 9km east of Johor Bahru (JB) city and within the central corridor of the Iskandar Malaysia region, the private school is well connected to many important landmarks through a web of highways and roads, attracting many students from the south, particularly Singapore. The private school firmly believes in laying strong foundations in students’ language proficiency and developing vital communication skills, amongst other core values. It strives to constantly encourage and provide valuable opportunities for students to polish their linguistic and public speaking skills. This is achieved by, among others, initiating the Toastmasters model into classroom learning by empowering students to speak on a variety of topics within set objectives. In the long run, students can build greater self-confidence in articulating their thoughts, ideas, or opinions effectively and coherently. View full school

- Escola Superior de Enfermagem de Lisboa –ESEL- (Lisbon School of Nursing) was set up by Decree Law no. 175/2004 of 21 July and stems from the merger of four public higher schools of nursing in Lisbon – Escola Superior de Enfermagem de Artur Ravara Escola Superior de Enfermagem de Calouste Gulbenkian de Lisboa Escola Superior de Enfermagem de Francisco Gentil and Escola Superior de Enfermagem de Maria Fernanda Resende. Its statutes were approved by Regulatory Order no. 16/2009 of 7 April (Government’s Official Gazette, 2nd Series – No. 68 - 7 April 2009), and its first management bodies – Governing Council, Pedagogical Council, and School Assembly - took office on 24 September 2007. The origin of this process dates back to 2001 with the publication of Decree-Law no. 99/2001 of 28 March as a result of the need to address the necessity to articulate synergies essential to the development of nursing education and the profession itself. The decision to set up a single school was made freely and involved making a shared development plan and implementing several joint projects. The School inherited a unique heritage from the four prestigious institutions that were behind its genesis, which underpins its references: - Escola Superior de Enfermagem de Artur Ravara, formerly called Escola Profissional de Enfermeiros (1901) and Escola de Enfermagem de Artur Ravara (1930), was the first public school of nursing in Portugal. Its origin dates back to the 19th century, with the creation, in 1886, of the first course for the training of nurses at S. José Hospital. For over 120 years, it was an irrefutable reference in the history of Portuguese nursing. - Escola Superior de Enfermagem Francisco Gentil was set up in 1940 and was then known as Escola Técnica de Enfermeiras do Instituto Português de Oncologia. It was directed by Doctor Francisco Gentil, who was committed to ensuring the training of qualified nurses in Portugal to contribute to the improvement of health care with their scientific and human skills. Sponsored by the Rockefeller Foundation, it was under the responsibility of the Ministry of Education. - Escola Superior de Enfermagem de Calouste Gulbenkian, in Lisbon, originated in 1957 with the name Escola de Enfermagem do Hospital de Santa Maria and was established at the opening of the Teaching Hospital of Lisbon, currently Santa Maria Hospital. In 1968, the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation funded the construction and the equipment of the buildings of the Calouste Gulbenkian School of Nursing of Lisbon and the Female Students Residence, which opened in 1972. It pioneered students associations in nursing and its 50 years of existence, aiming at offering quality initial training, it graduated about 5,000 nurses. - Escola Superior de Enfermagem Maria Fernanda Resende was the name adopted in 1986 by the then Escola Pós-Básica de Lisboa, in memory of nurse Maria Fernanda Resende (1923-1988), whose work greatly marked the teaching and development of nursing in Portugal. The Escola Pós-Básica de Lisboa came into operation in 1984 to optimize postgraduate training resources that were dispersed among several institutions and brought together three sections that corresponded to the former Psychiatric Nursing School of Lisbon, Teaching and Administration in Nursing, and Public Health Nursing, respectively. With the integration of nursing teaching in Polytechnic Higher Education in 1989 (Decree-Law no. 480/88, of 23 December), all the aforementioned schools began to teach the Degree in Nursing, which awarded the academic degree of Ordinary Bachelor, except ESE Maria Fernanda Resende, which offered specialized degree courses in nursing. In 1999, the Licenciatura degree in Nursing was created (Decree-Law no. 353/99, of 3 September), and all schools started to award the academic degree of Licenciado (Bachelor with Honours) and offer postgraduate training. With Decree-Law no. 99/2001, of 28 March, these schools became the responsibility of the Ministry of Education and, subsequently, of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education. The merging process started in 2004, and to that end, a monitoring committee was set up to lead the process of creating the statutes of ESEL and electing the first management board. The Unit of the Documentation Centre and Library of ESEL specialized in nursing science, health sciences, and social and human sciences, aims to support all ESEL’s activity sectors, providing, in the best use conditions, the bibliographic resources necessary for teaching, researching, continuing education, and cultural extension activities. ESEL’s collection has about 17 000 titles (monographs, reference works, theses, dissertations, and audiovisual materials), around 80 paper periodicals, and approximately 2 500 periodical publications in full-text digital format and e-books. - Wellspring Learning Community aims to establish an inquiry-based learning environment in which students from diverse backgrounds are given every opportunity to realize their social, emotional, and academic capacities and talents. Our students will become confident, resourceful, creative, caring, responsible, and thinking citizens prepared to use their education to contribute in meaningful ways toward improving society, both locally and internationally. In support of the mission, teachers and administrators work collaboratively in an atmosphere of mutual respect and trust to design, plan and provide a positive learning environment that builds on an ongoing process of self-assessment, evidence-based decision making, and continual improvement. At Wellspring we are committed to the following guiding principles: Establishing a safe and collaborative learning community that meets the needs of the students, school personnel, and parents. Maintaining well-kept, clean, and vibrant physical campus environments. Giving attention to the whole child by supporting students’ development in all domains, including the academic, linguistic, social, emotional, ethical, artistic, and physical. Making education relevant to the real world and children’s life experiences. Honoring diversity and individual differences. Promoting the development of strong multilingual abilities. Delivering an equitable education for all students. Holding ourselves accountable for students’ learning and school-based development. Putting in practice an interactive, creative approach to teaching and learning that combines the best elements of a variety of modern classroom instructional strategies to meet different learning abilities. Empowering teachers as professional decision-makers. Wellspring Learning Community is the realization of a dream shared by a team of dedicated educators who believe that all the children of Lebanon and those coming from abroad deserve to study in a high-quality learning environment that opens up a space for developing all their talents and intellectual potential, as well as their capacity for understanding and caring about the world around them. Our dream can only be fully realized through the learning, accomplishments, and future needs of our students as they journey through life. Wellspring literally means the source. Historians tell us that one of the leading theories of how Beirut was named is related to the Arabic word for a well or a source of water. Indeed the land on which the Wellspring Learning Community Mathaf campus now sits, located “jamb il Mathaf” was once rich in agricultural resources, full of olive and pomegranate groves. In naming the school, we had all this in mind, however, our true aim was to capture our belief that children are an infinitely renewable source of ideas, energy, and knowledge. We hope that our school will promote children’s natural predisposition to inquire and make sense of their experience in the world around them. We inspire students to be lifelong learners who contribute positively within a diverse and changing world. AISE provides a co-educational, English language, college preparatory program of studies as well as the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program that culminates in awarding eligible students an American High School Diploma or International Baccalaureate Diploma. Holistic education is provided that encourages high standards of academic achievement, meaningful collaboration, and personal development while supporting the unique needs of each learner. We encourage the expression of multiple perspectives in a safe and nurturing learning environment, such that the cultural identity of each student is valued. We prepare students to contribute to and thrive in a multicultural society. We support students in the development of skills and learning strategies. Students are encouraged to take responsibility for their own learning and well-being. Learning explicitly addresses guided and independent inquiry and investigations, skill development, and thinking strategies for finding solutions to the complex problems inherent in the challenges posed in developing a sustainable and peaceful world. We strive for our students to be better each day academically, artistically, athletically, and in their willingness to take action. We strive for our teachers to improve every day their understanding of pedagogy, the intricacies of instruction, and the social dynamics of a learning community. We strive for our parents to be proactively involved in the cognitive and social developments of their children and learn how to reinforce learning. AISE West's challenging academic program provides many opportunities outside of the classroom for students at all levels to participate in extra-curricular activities that include Student Council, Competitive Sports, Drama Productions, and Yearbook. - Our private school in Berlin-Zehlendorf is housed in a listed building in the quiet and green area in Southwestern Berlin. Our bilingual campus houses a nursery, primary and secondary school all under one roof. Here we offer a German-English community for approximately 500 children and young adults aged 1 to 18 years. We seek to maintain a cosmopolitan, warm and welcoming environment. Our children at the nursery, educators, students, teachers, and parents very much enjoy the familiar atmosphere we have created. We see our nursery as a place of learning with a main focus on the children’s and parents’ needs. All children entrusted to PhorMinis learn to accept and appreciate the diversity of people. We encourage them to try out new things, respect themselves and others, be caring, tolerant, and patient, and develop their abilities in a self-confident manner. Thereto, we provide the children with a safe, loving, and stimulating environment. We familiarise them with the variety of cultures, languages, and religions of the world and help them learn confidently and curiously, express their own opinions, and to develop personal skills and interests. At PhorMinis, the children take the first steps of their course of education. Accompanying them and their parents on this exciting journey is a great pleasure for us! During the first 4 years of school, most of the teaching at our bilingual primary school takes place in English. We use the Cambridge International Primary Programme (CIPP), which enables us to provide our students with a good foundation to study or work abroad at later stages. Our teachers deliver their lessons at the native speaker level, using the immersion method. At the same time, our program is based on the framework curriculum of the Federal State of Berlin (Berliner Rahmenlehrplan) and we attach great importance to good quality teaching in German. Our Campus combines the benefits of living amongst nature with those of urban life. On the one hand, we use the unbeatable range of cultural attractions of Berlin for a variety of trips and excursions. On the other hand, our private school located in the greenery of Steglitz-Zehlendorf offers lots of space for playing outside and numerous possibilities for excursions in nature. At present, 45 educators teach a total of 272 girls and boys in our Primary School. Bilingualism promotes cognitive development in such areas as awareness of language, creativity, and flexible thinking. Students who have been learning in a bilingual environment for many years perform above average in foreign languages, in their mother tongue, and other subjects. Our Secondary School continues the bilingual concept introduced in our nursery and Primary School. Teaching takes place by the immersion method, meaning that all content is delivered exclusively in either German or English. All our students sit exams for the Intermediate Secondary School Certificate (MSA) at the end of Year 10 and the Upper Secondary School Certificate (Abitur) in Year 12. Students in their last two years at Phorms may enroll for the C1 level of English proficiency exam, the Cambridge Advanced English Certificate (CAE), to confirm professional-level English for tertiary institutions or future employment.
