About Me

  1. The International School of Moscow We are one of the leading schools in Europe, providing an exceptional education to children aged 2 to 18 through the full range of Early Years, Primary and Secondary schooling. We are thrilled that you are considering our school and hope that you can see, from the details on our website, that ISM is an excellent choice for your child. Choosing a school for your child is one of the most important decisions that you will ever have to make. At The International School of Moscow, we recognize the enormity of this choice. We ensure that every child fulfills their potential and becomes a fully-rounded individual, well equipped to succeed in the ever-changing world around us. Through highly enjoyable and engaging learning experiences, pupils acquire the skills and knowledge set out in the English National Curriculum and also develop as individuals through a broad range of extra-curricular and enrichment activities. Most of our classroom teachers are either qualified in the United Kingdom or have experience working in UK schools. All our teachers receive up-to-date training to ensure that our standards are always high. State-of-the-art technologies are integrated into our curriculum and classrooms to ensure that our pupils are well-prepared for the future. A range of rich academic resources complements our campuses, guaranteeing that every child in our care receives the best possible education. As well as academic progress, your child will develop into a responsible global citizen, guided by our school’s principles of honesty, integrity, tolerance, and respect for others. Pupils are encouraged to be inquisitive and to play a part in their development, as well as being challenged and allowed to discover their abilities. We work hard to create an environment where children enjoy learning and feel safe and confident to participate, make mistakes, and have fun. We aim to ensure that all students who complete their education with us are exceptionally well-prepared for university life, life-long learning, and an exciting career in the ever-changing twenty-first century. The International School of Moscow (ISM) offers a contemporary English international education to pupils from Early Years through to Secondary and Sixth Form. Established in 2007, we have steadily grown to a pupil body of over 1000 students. Our school boasts more than 60 nationalities making it a truly diverse environment. We have two campuses on the west side of the capital city in the pleasant residential areas of Krylatskoe and Rosinka. Located at the Olympic Park, the Krylatskoe campus offers Early Years, Primary and Secondary education. Our Rosinka campus, which was opened in 2014, is located in an upmarket residential complex. ISM Curriculum is based on the English National Curriculum, which we have adapted to an international environment. We also provide many additional opportunities for personal development, which is a top priority for us. Independence, teamwork and leadership, self-discipline, presence, awareness, decency, and courage are key attributes that students develop at the school. In October 2013 and again in October 2016, we achieved outstanding ISI (Independent School Inspectorate) inspection reports, being recognized as an excellent school in all aspects of the report. We have also achieved outstanding academic results in both our (I)GCSEs and A-Levels, exceeding the British national averages every year.

  5. Moscow Economic School! Our school, or as it is often called, MES, is a private, non-governmental, IB World School. Founded as a result of democratic changes in our country, MES was the first and has grown into one of the largest private, non-governmental schools in Russia. Today, we have 600 students, boys, and girls from the ages of 3 to 18 years old with over 300 employees. The basis of our progress is our collegial management structure and the active participation of parents and trustees, who are among some of the leading businessmen, scientists, social and political leaders of our country. With their help, we have managed to build a strong strategic aim of development at MES in the direction of using all the best aspects of Russian and international education. Our school has always attracted and continues to attract the most highly qualified teachers from Russian and English-speaking countries, who are focused on the success of each student and creating an atmosphere that fosters and encourages their natural talents. The Mission of Moscow Economic School is to develop a learning community where students and teachers demand excellence and engagement from one another. Committed to excellence, MES uses the International Baccalaureate programs to motivate students in their learning, encourage them to become active, compassionate, and lifelong learners, to be responsible, productive, ethical, and healthy citizens, patrons of their own countries with the ability to think creatively, reason critically, and communicate effectively. Being an «IB World School», MES aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring young people who acquire the essential knowledge, skills, and dispositions for the 21st century, who apply their knowledge appropriately in new situations, who are open to other people’s perspectives and are empathetic to other people’s situations, who help create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. The highest priority is that education must focus on the development of every student’s potential. Members of democratic societies must inherently show respect for the law, the rights of others, and understand the rights and responsibilities of citizenship. The learner-centered approach to education focuses on developing a personality or individual for whom participation in civil society is not an imposed external obligation, but the result of internal motivation and intelligent choices. For graduates, making wise decisions in day-to-day life is of the utmost importance. Education needs to center on the development of students' values, the ability to think creatively and critically, to effectively communicate, and to act decisively in various circumstances with consideration to one’s well-being and the well-being of others. Teaching the «ability to learn» is as important as the subjects themselves. MES is a Russian private school, an IB World School that combines the best elements of Russian and international education. MES provides numerous opportunities for students to discover and develop their interests and abilities. Students of Moscow Economic School in cooperation with our teachers and psychologist’s work on developing the qualities of a typical «IB Student», strive to achieve their target goals. Throughout their academic careers, students display their various degrees of success through standardized Russian and international tests, academic conferences, state and federal examinations, and ultimately, graduation. MES is a center of professional development for teachers. Our faculty are provided the opportunity for professional development within the International Baccalaureate program through the use of conferences, seminars, and workshops. Teachers of Moscow Economic School are leaders of national and international teaching methodology. Students, teachers, and parents of Moscow Economic School value differences in culture, the ability to think globally, understand and respect people of other nationalities and religions, and successfully adapt to changes and complexities of the world.
