About Me

  1. Quality of higher education, higher technical education defines the level of country development and welfare of its citizens. That is why several reforms have been implemented in Ukraine for the last time; their primary purpose is to improve the quality of higher education up to the world's requirements. The Odessa National Academy of Food Technologies is on a new stage of development. A stepwise principle of higher education has been completely implemented at the Academy, from a junior specialist to a bachelor, master, Candidate and Doctor of Sciences. Today 11 faculties comprised of four educational institutes, the faculty of post-graduate education, the research institute, the college and three technical secondary schools represent a powerful scientific-educational centre in the south of our country that unites approximately 15,000 students, 2,400 teachers and employees, with about 100 professors and 400 associate professors, candidates of sciences included. In the jubilee 2012 year, we have established four institutes that united century traditions and current innovations. Their primary purpose of functioning is the large-scale implementation of the best European universities' education model from knowledge acquirement to their use based scientifically. By unanimous solution of the Academic Board members, all the four institutes got names after the leading industry figures and scientists who directly related to our Academy's destiny. We like and respect our history. By uniting successes and achievements of the past and present, we look into the future with confidence and put our hopes on our ability to work, our strength and the strength of Good and Fairness! Achievements of our graduates, teachers and employees, scientific and sports victories of our students, their leadership in self-government and amateur art activities became a confirmation of the best century traditions of engineer education and high effectiveness of the model of training leaders of governmental service, education, science, industry and business that we have elaborated. The high status, fast professional and promotion track of graduates of the Odesa National Academy of Food Technologies confirm a high quality of higher education provided by one of the oldest higher educational institutions of Ukraine. When inviting our graduates for work, managers of different levels note a high level of their occupational training and such significant personal qualities as adaptiveness, sociability, a sense of humour, ability to arrange a favourable psychological climate in the team of subordinates and colleagues. And this is, without doubt, great merit not only of the Academy's teachers but also that of a beautiful city of Odessa. While studying at our Academy, the students can improve their culture and erudition at the public institute of culture. Curators help to get acquainted with the culture heredity of Odessa. Visiting museums, exhibitions, theatre performances by our students became usual for the majority of students. The interest in amateur art activities of our students went beyond the Academy. Participation in student self-government allows students to acquire skills in staff management. Under the guidance of experienced tutors, the Academy study business relations students, which rather often grow to a strong partnership and form industrial, scientific and business elite of the country. The friendly team of professors, associate professors, lecturers, scientific workers, and students implement confidence in higher education into the food and grain-processing industry and achieve recognition by the world's professionals. In 2004 the Academy entered the Association of European universities and in 2005 – the European Federation of Food Science and Technologies. At present, the Academy is a member of 9 international organizations. The full scientific and staff potential, century traditions of the Odessa National Academy of Food Technologies is a reliable guarantee of its further successful development. View full university
  2. Its location on the Basque Coast's Izarbel Science Park is a perfect illustration of the will of the Bayonne & Basque Country Chamber of Commerce & Industry to provide the region's industrialists with an original model for technology transfer with a technological resource center, a business nursery and an industrial research platform within ESTIA Engineering School. A privileged contact who will examine with you and with complete confidentiality any problem you may encounter. We will do everything we can during your studies at ESTIA, both in terms of physical accessibility – our school is perfectly adapted in this respect, and in terms of access to knowledge, by implementing with all the administrative, technical, and teaching staff the means to enable you to succeed in your studies. ESTIA engineers are generalist engineers, prepared for all industrial activities. Their approach and abilities enable them to work as part of project teams both in large companies and SME's. They contribute to competitive development in an environment and e-business based economy. In this context, they have a good command of all the elements required to develop products through their lifecycle, from expressing needs to operating and implementation. They acquire multi-technological skills in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and IT. ESTIA engineers are project managers in all fields of activity, create activities, and sometimes even set up their own companies. Initially, the young graduate's operational skills will, of course, be determined by the option chosen: either product and method oriented, or equipment and infrastructure oriented, or organization and management-oriented. However, all students acquire the following skills. Businesses (including their constant adaptation, innovation, markets, etc.) are an integral part of the ESTIA engineer's "training landscape". Throughout their training, they come into direct contact with economic activities: new businesses at the ESTIA nursery and larger partner companies, enabling them to apply theoretical knowledge in real situations. In addition to the ESTIA engineering diploma, all students prepare, in parallel, a second European Masters: Students who chose the Digital Design & Innovation option are also awarded the MSc in "Software Techniques for CAE" from Cranfield University (UK) or the MSc in "Advanced Technology Management" from the University of Wolverhampton (UK). They stay in the UK for six weeks at the beginning of the 3rd year. Students who chose the Mechatronics & Embedded Systems option are awarded the MSc in "Robotics & Automation" or "Embedded Systems" from the University of Salford-Manchester (UK) or the MSC in "Software Techniques for Digital Signal & Image Processing" from Cranfield University (UK). They stay in the UK for six weeks at the beginning of the 3rd year. Students who chose the Industrial Management & Organisation option are awarded the Masters in "Industrial Management & Organisation" from Bilbao Engineering School in Spain. Being able to benefit for a reasonable price from the 1st year onwards from international tutoring, parallel enrolment in a foreign institution, and obtain a second diploma, either British or Spanish, at the end of the 3rd year is both an excellent chance and a time saver. This enables you to gain a year and thus make significant savings compared to the usual post-graduate enrolment procedure after your engineering degree. It is also a privilege to benefit from personalized teaching by our foreign lecturers. As a complement to these compulsory co-tutored courses for all student engineers, there are also other possibilities with our international mobility programs. Estia-Research is based on a partnership with the University of Bordeaux 1, UPPA (University of Pau & the Adour Region), and, to a lesser extent, Arts & Métiers ParisTech. Estia-Research contributes to the development of research in Aquitaine and benefits from its location, serving as a point of contact for cross-border co-operation between Aquitaine and the Basque Universities Autonomous Region, Navarre, and Aragon. Estia-Research aims to create a strong alliance with laboratories of excellence at these universities, taking advantage of implementing the Aquitaine-Euskadi-Navarre Euroregion. ESTIA lecturers and researchers carry out their Engineering Science (mechanics, electronics, automation, IT, robotics) and Human & Social Science (management, ergonomics, creativity, uses, skills). Estia-Research is a multi-disciplinary platform located on the ESTIA campus. It is part of a network with the region's significant laboratories in Engineering and Management Science, taking full advantage of its interactions with the business nursery Estia-Entreprendre. These are study and development projects carried out within the school and based on the needs of ESTIA or industry, aimed at helping students to apply theoretical knowledge learned. Aspects concerning "methods", "costs", and techniques are necessarily dealt with. They benefit from the support of specialists.

Intensive courses in our schools can be taken while being in the 9th school grade.
  9. The choice of a course or a school is a key moment in the life of any student. At the Universidade Lusofona, we believe our school and its courses have many relevant aspects that invite all those who are currently facing these choices, to choose to study at the Universidade Lusofona. Let us consider this, all our courses are accredited by the A3ES, an entity responsible for the evaluation and quality assurance of higher education in Portugal all our courses have employment rates above the national average in the training areas in which they operate we have a highly qualified faculty composed of many people of recognized merit and prestige in their areas we are located in the university center of Lisbon, with excellent accessibility and location we offer a large and well-organized campus, which includes high-quality equipment and laboratories we are part of an educational project with a unique international profile, which is present in all Portuguese-speaking countries, offering a unique cultural and educational experience. For all these reasons, we believe that we are the best option. We believe that we give you reasons to choose us and share with us this unique experience of being part of a large project, the educational project of the Universidade Lusofona de Humanidades e Tecnologias. The university teaching project of COFAC has its origins in the late 80s when ISMAG was established. The Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias was recognized only in 1998 as a higher education institution of public interest. We are therefore the youngest university in the country and we are proud to be the largest non-State university, with several students, teaching programs, and teachers holding Ph.D. degrees. The ULHT was established under a right enshrined in the Constitution of the Republic and because of that, not only does not renounce it, as uncompromisingly will defend its execution and will reject by all means at its disposal any form of discrimination, regardless of the origin. From the legal and social point of view, we are a public university (of public interest) alongside state universities. What distinguishes us from these universities is the fact that we are a self-financed university, something that is also supported by the Constitution of the Republic. We were certainly the Portuguese university that has striven the most for the implementation of the Bologna Reform because we believed that it was urgent and vital for the country that higher education was the subject of change in obsolete paradigms and working models, and therefore needed to be replaced by other values, more in line with the needs of the country's development. We fully recognize ourselves as part of the European Higher Education Space, as well as part of the Lusophone Higher Education Space. Therefore we have reflected on the Statutes of the university the Lusophone dimension of our project, as an inevitable manifestation of social responsibility since it is defined that the University has as objectives "teaching, research, and rendering of services in the various fields of culture, science and technologies, in an interdisciplinary perspective and especially to contribute to the development of all countries and Portuguese-speaking peoples. The ULHT is the only private university in the metropolitan area of Lisbon (3 million inhabitants and 25% of the Portuguese population), which has ensured a sustained growth of students and teachers holding a Ph.D. degree in recent years, accounting for about 50% of the non-state educational university offer in the Metropolitan area of Lisbon. The educational project of the Universidade Lusofona de Humanidades e Tecnologias is the largest and most important education and training initiative that emerged from within the civil society in contemporary Portugal. Nowadays, this project goes beyond the frontiers of our country and finds an echo in similar educational initiatives in Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, and Mozambique, being the Universidade Lusofona de Humanidades e Tecnologias the institution that leads the wider educational project of "Grupo Lusofona". Currently, more than 25,000 students attend the 22 education institutions that comprise the "Grupo Lusofona" in the various Portuguese-speaking countries.
