- The choice of a course or a school is a key moment in the life of any student. At the Universidade Lusofona, we believe our school and its courses have many relevant aspects that invite all those who are currently facing these choices, to choose to study at the Universidade Lusofona. Let us consider this, all our courses are accredited by the A3ES, an entity responsible for the evaluation and quality assurance of higher education in Portugal all our courses have employment rates above the national average in the training areas in which they operate we have a highly qualified faculty composed of many people of recognized merit and prestige in their areas we are located in the university center of Lisbon, with excellent accessibility and location we offer a large and well-organized campus, which includes high-quality equipment and laboratories we are part of an educational project with a unique international profile, which is present in all Portuguese-speaking countries, offering a unique cultural and educational experience. For all these reasons, we believe that we are the best option. We believe that we give you reasons to choose us and share with us this unique experience of being part of a large project, the educational project of the Universidade Lusofona de Humanidades e Tecnologias. The university teaching project of COFAC has its origins in the late 80s when ISMAG was established. The Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias was recognized only in 1998 as a higher education institution of public interest. We are therefore the youngest university in the country and we are proud to be the largest non-State university, with several students, teaching programs, and teachers holding Ph.D. degrees. The ULHT was established under a right enshrined in the Constitution of the Republic and because of that, not only does not renounce it, as uncompromisingly will defend its execution and will reject by all means at its disposal any form of discrimination, regardless of the origin. From the legal and social point of view, we are a public university (of public interest) alongside state universities. What distinguishes us from these universities is the fact that we are a self-financed university, something that is also supported by the Constitution of the Republic. We were certainly the Portuguese university that has striven the most for the implementation of the Bologna Reform because we believed that it was urgent and vital for the country that higher education was the subject of change in obsolete paradigms and working models, and therefore needed to be replaced by other values, more in line with the needs of the country's development. We fully recognize ourselves as part of the European Higher Education Space, as well as part of the Lusophone Higher Education Space. Therefore we have reflected on the Statutes of the university the Lusophone dimension of our project, as an inevitable manifestation of social responsibility since it is defined that the University has as objectives "teaching, research, and rendering of services in the various fields of culture, science and technologies, in an interdisciplinary perspective and especially to contribute to the development of all countries and Portuguese-speaking peoples. The ULHT is the only private university in the metropolitan area of Lisbon (3 million inhabitants and 25% of the Portuguese population), which has ensured a sustained growth of students and teachers holding a Ph.D. degree in recent years, accounting for about 50% of the non-state educational university offer in the Metropolitan area of Lisbon. The educational project of the Universidade Lusofona de Humanidades e Tecnologias is the largest and most important education and training initiative that emerged from within the civil society in contemporary Portugal. Nowadays, this project goes beyond the frontiers of our country and finds an echo in similar educational initiatives in Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, and Mozambique, being the Universidade Lusofona de Humanidades e Tecnologias the institution that leads the wider educational project of "Grupo Lusofona". Currently, more than 25,000 students attend the 22 education institutions that comprise the "Grupo Lusofona" in the various Portuguese-speaking countries. View full university

- University of Humanities and Economics in Lodz was established in 1993. It is one of the largest non-public institutions of higher education in Poland. In 2007, the University gained the right to award PhDs in the following subjects: linguistics in the department of humanities, information technology in the department of technical sciences, and visual arts in the department of fine arts. Following the requirements of the European Educational Standards, the AHE in Lodz implements a new paradigm of education, which is characterized by new methods, new content, new teaching staff. One of the most distinguishing features of the University of Humanities and Economics is that each student benefits from an individual approach to learning needs. It helps in solving tasks and problems they face creatively and innovatively. For each year of study, we use the method of projects and workshops, whereby the students develop their competencies and shape attitudes needed to succeed in life and career. Thanks to the new model of education students also develop their personalities. During the studies are conducted workshops, which enhance skills in communication, resolving conflicts, cooperation, or negotiation. The best projects are awarded in four categories: a project in the field of entrepreneurship, a pro-social project, a project focused on personal development, and an artistic project. This new educational program we can realize only thanks to the enthusiasm and commitment of the young staff working in AHE. They conduct classes by project and workshops method. They work with entrepreneurs, prepare projects taken from the practice of economic, social, and cultural life. Among the projects organized by students can be found numerous exhibitions, concerts, educational lectures, cultural events, dance shows, or charities. The successes of these projects result in positive recommendations of entrepreneurs. Students in their project work solve real problems and thus create their portfolio confirming acquired competencies. The University of Humanities and Economics in Lodz is located in the 19th-century factory sites. In those well-preserved and restored walls with a unique industrial atmosphere are organized educational, cultural, and business events. - Great works are often inspired by a human dream. Such was, as quite a number of the founders declare, the origin of Pultusk Academy of Humanities (formerly: Pultusk School of Humanities), a school for higher education opened in a small town, actively pursuing its statutory activity and providing its students with quality education. The ‘ATENA' Academic Education and Research Society, the founding body of Pultusk School of Humanities, by making its successful attempt at turning that idea into reality, over 10 years ago, made it possible for lots of young people to obtain higher education. The history of Pultusk Academy of Humanities is a continuation of the history of Pultusk School of Humanities established on 14th July 1994. That was when the Minister of National Education entered the School into the National Register of Higher Education Schools. It was also then that the School was authorized to run undergraduate-level courses in the following fields of study: Polish Language and Literature, History, Education Studies. A year later (on 28th April 1995) the Minister of National Education authorized Pultusk School of Humanities to launch courses in some other fields of study as well, i.e. in Administration, Political Science, and Environmental Protection. On 30th September 1996, the Minister of Education, under a resolution passed by the Main Council for Higher Education dated 18th September 1996, authorized the School to run graduate degree programs. The meaningful high-standards education delivered at the School, the educational efforts of all its lecturers, and the eagerness of its students were rewarded on 26th March 2001, when the Central Commission for Academic Titles and Degrees, after seeking an advisory opinion of the Main Council for Higher Education, authorized the School's Faculty of History to confer doctoral degrees in History. On 22nd April 2002, similar authorization was granted to the Faculty of Political Science. Moreover, under the Decision of the Minister of National Education and Sport of 17th November 2003, the School was permitted to conduct undergraduate-level courses of study in still another field: Tourism and Recreation. On 2nd July 2004, the Minister of Education authorized Pultusk School of Humanities to run undergraduate-level courses of study in the field of Sociology. Consequently, the School is currently able to provide higher education in seven fields of study. On 22nd March, 2002, Pultusk School of Humanities was named after Aleksander Gieysztor (Wyższa Szkoła Humanistyczna im. Aleksandra Gieysztora w Pułtusku), an outstanding and world famous historian, co-founder of the School and its ex-lecturer of a long standing. The School was also "a dream that had come true" to its more than thirty thousand alumni equipped with knowledge and competence acquired under the guidance of the School Faculty made up of more than a thousand members, including outstanding scholars. All this has been achieved within as little time as one decade only. Ten years have been enough time for the School to arrange for its educational facilities, including the impressive Central Library named after Andrzej Bartnicki, the First Rector of Pultusk School of Humanities. The ten years of its continuing educational effort have enriched the Polish thought and resulted in the School's ranking high in the Polish educational sector. Under DSW-3-JG-4001-67-06 Decision of the Minister of Science and Higher Education dated 19th September 2006, Pultusk School of Humanities has been renamed Pultusk Academy of Humanities, AH. The organizational structure of Pultusk Academy of Humanities is currently made up of five Faculties, namely those of Administrative Studies, History, Education Studies, Political Science, Sociology. The Foreign Languages Teaching Center is responsible for the linguistic competence of our students, while their physical fitness is the responsibility of the Physical Education Center. The Academy has over 170 Faculty Members comprising academic teachers and research workers. Since it's coming into being as Pultusk Academy of Humanitiesmore than 48,484 students have graduated from it. The Academy offers three-year undergraduate-level (First-Cycle) courses of study /6 semesters/for the degree of the license, two-year graduate-level (Second-Cycle) courses of study /4 semesters/ for the degree of magister, and postgraduate courses /2 or 3 semesters/. It is also authorized to confer the academic degree of a Doctor of Philosophy, Ph.D., in the Humanities, at the Faculties of History, and Political Science. There are regular and extramural studying options both for undergraduate and graduate students. A student trained within one field may decide to choose one major subject or complement it with a minor subject (on the understanding that one subject is obligatory). When justifiable, a student may choose an individual studying option or an individual organization of his/her studies. The Academy of Humanities Central Library was founded in 1995. It's contemporary building – which has all the essential amenities expected of a modern library, comprises a total of 2,000 square meters of floor space, opened its doors in the academic year 2001-2002. In celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Academy, its Central Library was named after Andrzej Bartnicki, the first Rector of Pultusk Academy of Humanities. The library collections number 135 thousand volumes altogether, in print or on CDs. They cover 20th-century books and periodicals, as well as publications issued before 1900. The Library has received donations both from institutions, including the National Library, the Library of the University of Warsaw, the Sejm Library, the Lanckoroński Foundation, and the University of Cologne and from individual persons including Faculty members of the Academy. - EHU provides students from Belarus and the region with an education in the European liberal arts tradition in a free and democratic environment — an opportunity, unfortunately, not available in Belarus today. Education at EHU does more than immerse students in a range of subjects and disciplines. It promotes a transdisciplinary approach, critical thinking skills, and civic engagement that empowers them to develop innovative solutions, ideas, and enterprises. Since its founding in Minsk in 1992, the European Humanities University has remained committed to produce and disseminate socially responsible and critical knowledge in the social sciences and the humanities, ensure quality education through the integration of study programs with research, creative, and applied projects. EHU uses its potential to develop a European intellectual space without borders, the return of knowledge to Belarus, the establishment of innovative social partnerships, the development of civic education, and the broadening of human rights and potential through the freedom of speech, thought, and research. EHU is a haven of academic freedom — the only Belarusian University that operates in a free and democratic environment. EHU is an integral part of the European and world academic community. The University recognizes European values and, in its activities, is guided by the Great Charter of Universities' provisions, the European Higher Education Community, and other forms of the international scientific and academic community. EHU offers undergraduate, graduate, and doctorate programs in both low and high residence modes and non-degree courses in the humanities and social sciences. Since 2011, EHU students, faculty, and staff have been qualified to participate in series of exchange programs designed to promote European cooperation in higher education, student and staff mobility, and cooperation between higher education institutions and enterprises. The high competitiveness of EHU study programs significantly increases students' chances to find employment in various fields of activity both in Belarus and abroad. All EHU graduates receive diplomas recognized throughout Europe and North America. EHU has around 3,000 alumni who attended the University either in Minsk or in Vilnius. 2124 already graduated from EHU in Vilnius. According to our surveys, most of them reside in Belarus, but others are spread around the world. The Distinguished Alumni Award is annually presented for the outstanding achievements of our alumni. EHU alumni are in demand on the labor market of Belarus. According to the latest Alumni survey results, about half of EHU graduates earn more than the average monthly salary in Minsk. Many graduates seek additional educational and professional opportunities in more than 30 countries. The "Honorary Doctorate of the European Humanities University" degree is conferred upon the most prominent scholars, statesmen, public, religious, and political figures of the Republic of Belarus and other countries to honor their outstanding accomplishments in humanities and social sciences, university education, and culture their distinguished contributions to the development of democracy and the realization of the principles of the rule of law and their outstanding contribution to the development of culture and effective promotion of intercultural dialog. Foreign language is a challenge that has always has been a critical problem for humanities. It is necessary for students to exercise their professional life in a multilingual world and is also essential to accessing cultural meaning through the spoken and written word – the doorways to interdisciplinary and international understanding and knowledge. The basis of foreign language courses in EHU should be a strategy "to write, to read, to speak," and vice versa, "to speak, to read, to write," which will provide access to humanities texts in foreign languages, where the primary role today belongs to the English language. Regardless of the level of language proficiency at the time of enrollment, EHU students have the opportunity to improve their English language skills by two levels up within the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Besides, EHU students can practice their English during regular international meetings, educational events with the participation of foreign specialists, and communicating with students of exchange programs. Starting from the third year of studies, part of the EHU courses are taught in English, allowing students to expand their usage of a foreign language in academic and professional contexts. Additionally, the English language for particular purposes is included in the curriculum. In these courses, the students get a more in-depth insight into the professional terminology. The knowledge of specific professional English terms makes EHU students more competitive in the international labor market.

- The leading university's formation in education and youth activities by integrating the Moscow state pedagogical university and the sholokhov Moscow state university for the humanities. In the modern world, the development of the national educational system, the diffusion of modern technologies, and youth activities represent the critical factor of the country's economic and political welfare and the impact of our country at the international level. The actual trends in the world's educational system (globalization of the market of education, development of technologies of e-learning, such new players in the market as corporate universities, educational corporations and hyper accessibility of the information and increasing mass media and Internet influence in the educational process and so on) form a fundamentally new environment for the development of the Russian educational system and demand its accelerated adaptation to the new situation and new challenges. In this regard, it would be essential to establish the research university in Russia, whose mission would be active research, experimental and innovative activities in education, and technological work with young people. Moreover, such a university should become a provider of unique educational programs in these areas for the national and international levels, making it a conductor of Russian "soft power" in other countries. Considering its mission's specific characteristics, it would be more advisable to establish such a research university in Moscow. The university could be built based on the integration of Moscow State Pedagogical University and Sholokhov Moscow State University for Humanities. The analysis of monitoring's results of the effectiveness of 2014 institutes of higher education shows both the mutual supplementation of its potentials in some areas and common problems that can be solved by combining and optimizing its activities.

- Russian State University for the Humanities grew out of Moscow State Institute for History and Archives. Its official birthday is 27 March 1991. The first round of admissions into RSUH took place in 1991. Despite its comparatively young age, RSUH has come to be one of the best among the country's most respected universities, has emerged as of the leading educational and research centers in Russia. Our University was the first to combine the words "Russian" and "humanities" in its name. We are proud and honored to bear this title, ever striving to affirm our status further. The progress we have made is recognized both within the country and abroad. In all the past years, RSUH has been one of the most sought-after institutions among prospective students. And we feel obliged not just to preserve but also to develop and enrich the legacy we enter the third decade of our history. University educational principles: The European two-level educational system (B.A. – M.A.) noticeably increases the number of training types and offers a possibility to study and work abroad. Integration of research and education allows students to develop research skills and acquire the necessary set of competencies. The unified educational complex represents sustainability and interdisciplinarity as opposed to a series of specialized non-related programs. A practice-oriented approach to educational tracks is based upon a carefully created combination of fundamental theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills. The educational environment is conducive to learning and is based on freedom of creative and professional self-actualization and the principles of mutual tolerance. A student-oriented educational system allows tapping into the individual abilities of the students. The University has an active tutor system. The life-long learning concept views education as a continuing and uninterrupted process. RSUH offers preparatory training for prospective students, continuing education programs as well as graduate and postgraduate tracks. The programs operate both in Moscow and in the regions. The principle of "educating through art" has created a unique training environment – teaching in museums and exhibition halls. RSUH's mission is to maintain and develop a leading scientific and educational institution in the humanities, social, and informational studies in Russia and beyond. RSUH strives to deliver its contribution to the processes of internationalization and humanitarisation of higher education and scholarship in Russia to perceive the functions of a socially-oriented institution promoting modern society's social and humanitarian values. We are targeting to raise the competitiveness of the Russian economy and further integrate our country into the global economy. In its scientific research programs, RSUH will adhere to reaching new horizons in fundamental humanities sciences together with responding to the demands and challenges of the society in generating new product ideas, technologies, and products to bring value to the solution of the most critical issues of social development in Russia and its role as the part of the ever-changing world. View full university
