- Welcome to Town Center Private Schools also known as TCPS. Founded in 1986, TCPS is a unique school offering a Montessori Pre-School program, and being an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School. As we entered our 32nd year, we continued our journey with the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program implementation. Students who take the IB Program excel in university studies and beyond. It is so gratifying to find an ideology that can take our Montessori foundations and build upon them in both the Elementary and High School Divisions. In today’s world with rapidly changing parameters, critical thinking along with self-challenging habits are a necessity, and TCPS students will be able to rise to the challenges with ease. TCPS now has the distinction of having an acknowledged certification in the Diploma Program (Grades 11 and 12), the Middle Years Program (Grades 6 to 10), and this year we were certified for the Primary Years Program (Preparatory to Grade 5) to earn the status of being an IB World Continuum School, providing our students with the tools to be active learners and communicators starting from the age of 4 years. We have come a long way from our modest beginnings in 1986. One of the keys to our success has been the dedication of our teaching staff and administration. I would like to acknowledge their hard work and enthusiasm over the years. We have grown over the last 3 decades to become a reputable and respected educational institution and I look forward to our future together. Our award-winning school has a long-standing tradition of providing students with a superior education in a safe, supportive and caring environment where they acquire the knowledge, skills, and confidence to succeed. Town Center is an International Baccalaureate World School. Located on the border of Toronto and the Markham / York Region, TCPS offers a Montessori Pre-School program as well as an IB Elementary School and IB High School. Prospective students may enroll in the Montessori Pre-School program as young as 18 months of age with or without toilet training. The Pre-School offers a flexible program allowing students to attend full days or half days and enrollments are accepted throughout the year. The TCPS Montessori program includes instruction in Language, Mathematics, Social Science, French, Computer Studies, Physical Education, and the Off Music program. A Montessori Summer Camp program is offered during July and August with the option of weekly enrollment. Learn more about our Montessori Pre-School program. For students in grades 1 to 8, TCPS offers a non-Montessori, Private Elementary School program. The Elementary program offers a well-rounded, academic education preparing and guiding students towards university placement. TCPS provides enrichment in the core subjects of English, Mathematics, Science, History, and Geography. In addition to the core subjects, French, Music, Computer Studies, and Physical Education are taught by teachers who specialize in these fields of study. An Elementary Summer Fun Camp is offered during July and August with the option of weekly enrollment. Learn more about our Private Elementary School program. The High School division of TCPS is an established private high school drawing students from the York Region, the Greater Toronto Area, and internationally. TCPS offers advanced, university-bound courses and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program. TCPS is registered with the Ministry of Education. The School accepts students from Pre-School to Grade 8 at any time throughout the year provided there is space available and the prerequisites are fulfilled. The Montessori program is based on a well-known philosophy and teaching methodology. Students learn in an inviting and intellectually stimulating classroom led by Montessori-trained teachers. The students are treated as individuals and are allowed to progress at their own pace and level of understanding with gentle guidance from their teachers. The Montessori classroom is fully equipped to provide children with a well-rounded education in which they are constantly learning at a conscious and subconscious level. It also capitalizes on the children’s “sensitive periods” by providing them with an environment that is full of interesting activities, leading to a strong academic foundation that will benefit them throughout their entire academic careers. Learning is a lifelong process, as Dr. Maria Montessori discovered very early in her career as an educator. Here are some tenets on which Montessori education is based. Learning begins immediately from the time a child is born. Dr. Montessori strongly believed that children have “absorbent minds” and if exposed to information in a stimulating environment they will easily understand and internalize the information. Children go through “sensitive periods” between the ages of 2 and 5 when they have optimal learning abilities. A Montessori classroom is set up to maximize the amount of learning during these sensitive periods. The Town Center Private School (TCPS) Elementary program offers a non-Montessori curriculum and welcomes students from grades 1 to 8 throughout the Greater Toronto Area, Markham, and York Region. The Elementary program offers a well-rounded, academic program preparing and guiding students towards university placement. Elementary classes feature a low student-to-teacher ratio and 2 teachers per class. Subjects such as French, Computer Studies, Music and Band, and Physical Education are taught by specialized teachers. Town Center offers a rigorous academic program to fully prepare students for the demands of university studies. We challenge our students, but at the same time, we provide them with the support they need to rise to these challenges. All courses at Town Center are taught at the university entrance level. Specialized teachers instruct classes with a very low student-to-teacher ratio. TCPS offers the best features of a traditional university preparatory school including: A systematic, sequential curriculum High academic standards Sound educational leadership The School recommends that parents arrange for a tour of the facility and a meeting with a Vice-Principal to fully appreciate what the School has to offer to each prospective student. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or would like to arrange a visit. View full school

- The journey of Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) started in 1930 in Medical Corps Hospital, meant for medical aid to military personnel exclusively. In 1942 it was renamed the British General Hospital and remained as such till 1947 a 100 bedded hospital with all necessary basic facilities. JPMC declares its mission to Improve Education and healthcare in Pakistan by imparting quality education and care. Promotion of research and generation of knowledge and skill development. Provide quality healthcare to all irrespective of ability to pay. Explore avenues for resource generation. The opening ceremony was a grand affair. The first class of students was inducted on 1st June 1959. In 1963, the amalgamation of BMSI and all units of JCH led to the creation of JPMC with the combined administration headed by a Director. JPMC, thus established, comprised of a cluster of buildings spread over 148 acres. It can now proudly claim to be the biggest and the best equipped public sector hospital in Pakistan, employing highly qualified staff in numerous specialties, ready to render quality health care services to the ailing. In the process, JPMC also imparts high-quality training to medical graduates, nurses, and technicians and undertakes meaningful research in clinical and basic medical sciences. It is a matter of pride and joy for me to be the custodian of the oldest Postgraduate Medical Education and Research Centre of the country at the launch of the first comprehensive website of Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC). It is no surprise that the community this hospital has served has rallied around JPMC and supported it in many aspects of its operations and service delivery, formally and informally. Consequently, JPMC has proved itself to be an excellent model of public/private partnership in higher medical Education, research, and health services delivery. JPMC is a flag bearer for higher medical Education and research in the country. JPMC has also trained and continues to train the largest number of postgraduate trainee doctors producing highly competent specialists in nearly all disciplines of Medicine and Surgery. Faced with recurring mass violence in the city, JPMC has again led the way by single-handedly and effectively dealing with victims of recurrent mass casualties. JPMC’s Blood Bank is self-sufficient and can provide fully screened, voluntarily donated blood and blood products at short notice. The three surgical units and surgical subspecialties, such as Otorhinolaryngology, Ophthalmology, Urology, Neurosurgery, Thoracic Surgery, Plastic Surgery, and Orthopaedic surgery are some of the pioneer departments of the country. Similarly, the Medical Units, Medical ICU, and medical subspecialties such as Neurology, Nephrology, Oncology, Dermatology, Psychiatry, Gastroenterology, National Poison Control Centre, and Endocrinology have all been developed through the efforts of generations of physicians working in JPMC. The Gynaecology & Obstetrics Department of JPMC performs the highest number of deliveries per year of any of the large hospitals in the city. The work environment of this department belies its existence in a public sector hospital in many areas. This has been made possible through the generous participation and donation of numerous individuals, NGOs, and foreign aid agencies. We are indeed proud of our ‘state-of-the-art’ Radiology Department, which is equipped with a wide range of cutting edge diagnostic and therapeutic radiology equipment and relevant expertise. The department now boasts of a newly installed Cyberknife, the only one in the country, to treat early cancers with radiation.

- The land that is now the site of The University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler has a rich history of commitment and dedication to patient care and community health. From its early beginnings in 1943 as the 1,000-bed Camp Fannin Army hospital site during World War II through decades of fighting against pulmonary diseases like tuberculosis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and asbestosis, UT Health Science Center has served the citizens of Texas with distinction. Great strides have been made in subsequent years, advancing healthcare through biomedical research one discovery at a time in scientific areas including lung injury and repair, infectious lung diseases, and cancer, to name just a few ongoing research projects. Today, the biomedical research conducted at UT Health Science Center is nationally recognized and competitively funded by private foundations, non-profit organizations, the Centers for Disease Control, and the gold standard of research support – the National Institutions of Health. As UT Health Science Center continues to make its dreams a reality, the tradition of excellence and public service that began with a barracks hospital 75 years ago remains a core commitment today. With exceptional patient care, comprehensive education, and innovative research, The University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler and UT Health East Texas combine to serve as the university medical center for Northeast Texas and beyond. A shield defends our communities in Northeast Texas. It protects our health today and safeguards our health and wellness for the future. It stands stalwart between the people we care about and the illnesses, epidemics, and hazards that threaten them. That shield is The University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler. Our academic mission is a shield forged of three parts – graduate medical education, graduate education, and biomedical and clinical research. Three integral, interconnected components joined unlike anywhere else in Northeast Texas. As the region's only university medical center, UT Health Science Center is home to some of the latest developments in patient care and community health, medical and health education, and biomedical and clinical research. Only about five percent of hospitals qualify as university medical centers. However, this small group of elite institutions is our nation's primary conduit between first-rate patient care, education, research, and the communities we serve. There is a physician shortage in rural counties throughout Northeast Texas. That is why the UT Health Science Center trains the next generation of doctors. Both locally and globally, new and familiar diseases continue to threaten countless lives. That is why UT Health Science Center conducts biomedical and clinical research and trains much-needed future scientists to understand and combat these diseases and infections. Complex problems require sophisticated, modern solutions. That is why UT Health Science Center trains graduate biotechnology students to lead the innovation revolution at the forefront of modern science. Northeast Texas is the sickest and most rural region in the state with profoundly unfavorable health disparities. That is why UT Health Science Center trains public health graduate students to establish systematic, long-term health education and wellness initiatives to promote health for those who need these programs the most. This comprehensive approach makes UT Health Science Center the first and best hope to fortify the long-term health and wellness of Northeast Texas. The challenges we face are significant, but our resolve is more significant at the UT Health Science Center. Every day at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler, we look to our mission and vision to guide our education, research, and patient care initiatives. In partnership with communities across our region, we are improving individuals' and communities' health. UTHSC values excellence, caring, respect, health equity, integrity, diversity, and knowledge. As the flagship statewide, public, academic health system, the mission of the University of Tennessee Health Science Center is to bring the benefits of the health sciences to the achievement and maintenance of human health, with a focus on the citizens of Tennessee and the region, by pursuing an integrated program of education, research, clinical care, and public service. Employing more than 6,000 people on its faculty, staff, and not-for-profit corporation faculty practice groups, UTHSC contributes more than $4 billion to Tennessee's economy. As the largest academic health science center in the southeastern United States, we are delighted you have decided to visit us. As you know, UTHSC is a special place. We have six (6) colleges offering undergraduate, graduate, certificate, and professional options. We hope that one of them is right for you. The University of Tennessee System, through its multiple campuses and institutes, serves the people of Tennessee and beyond through the discovery, communication, and application of knowledge. The System is committed to providing undergraduate, graduate, and professional education programs in a diverse learning environment that prepares students to be global society leaders. The UT System's delivery of education, discovery, outreach, and public service contributes to all Tennesseans' economic, social, and environmental well-being. UTHSC Online offers convenience and accessibility as students pursue their educational goals around their busy schedules. Online graduate programs are offered in dentistry, health professions, graduate health sciences, and nursing. The Financial Aid Office strives for high student satisfaction by promptly providing information and resources while maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and institutional policies. As a current or prospective UTHSC student, you have many rights and responsibilities. We want to highlight some of the critical rights and responsibilities relevant to current policies and procedures. Advancing research and economic development is at the core of the University of Tennessee Health Science Center's mission. Research funding has directly contributed to UTHSC's long record of necessary science accomplishments, applied clinical and translational research, and public health, allowing us to continue our contributions to the health of the Memphis-area community. Through collaborative relationships with health care partnerships like St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare, we are well-positioned to pave the way for innovative patient-centered research and development with a clinical and translational focus. The University of Tennessee Health Science Center's Memphis campus comprises six colleges – Allied Health Sciences, Dentistry, Graduate Health Sciences, Medicine, Nursing, and Pharmacy. Clinically, UTHSC faculty practice groups contribute more than $300 million annually to the statewide mission. These practice groups serve as the core faculty for all of our partner teaching hospitals. The University of Tennessee Health Science Center recognizes the value of having an inclusive environment in which individuals from a variety of socio-economic backgrounds, races and ethnicities, physical and mental abilities, ages, creeds, cultures, and prior work/life experiences can learn and work together in an environment that values differences. To foster this environment, UTHSC has developed a series of guidelines for selecting students for its academic programs. Diversity provides essential benefits for the educational enterprise, enriching experiences in the classroom and clinical settings and facilitating students' preparation for the different types of environments they may be asked to serve – rural/ urban, affluent/underserved multi-cultural/traditional, etc. Thus, the campus actively encourages applications from individuals who bring unique perspectives to its programs. Admission criteria for academic programs will continue to emphasize academic excellence. However, additional non-academic factors will also be considered and some additional consideration given to applications from qualified individuals from groups that are underrepresented in the health care professions or from counties in Tennessee that are traditionally underserved by the health care professions, from veterans, from other non-traditional students and from students who represent the first in their families to pursue higher education. UTHSC holds a yearly Campus Food Drive and United Way Campaign to help others and strengthen our community. Health Career Programs (HCP) prepares the next generation of individuals to become culturally competent and relevant healthcare professionals and educators. The Clinica Esperanza is a primary care clinic run by UTHSC College of Medicine students, residents, and faculty that offers free services to underserved, uninsured Latino adults. The Rachel Kay Stevens Therapy Center is a student-run pro bono clinic founded to serve the underinsured or uninsured children of the Mid-South from birth to 18 years. In 1911, the University of Tennessee launched its Memphis campus, dedicating it solely to health science education and research. Seed programs in medicine, dentistry, and pharmacy quickly flourished, and within a few short years, new programs were initiated in health professions, graduate health sciences, and nursing. Each of those programs grew to become a college in its own right. In 1963, the UT Graduate School of Medicine in Knoxville, based at the UT Medical Center, became part of the UT Health Science Center. In 1974, the UT College of Medicine in Chattanooga, based at Erlanger Health System, joined the UTHSC System. In 2014, Saint Thomas Health in Nashville began collaborating with UTHSC to create a Nashville campus. View full university

- Interlochen was founded in 1928 and is located in beautiful northwest lower Michigan. Each year, thousands of artists and arts patrons come to Interlochen to experience world-class educational and cultural opportunities. Students study music, theatre, visual arts, film, creative writing, and dance, guided by an outstanding faculty and guest artists, and inspired by our campus's scenic beauty. Interlochen Center for the Arts engages and inspires people worldwide through excellence in educational, artistic, and cultural programs, enhancing the quality of life through the arts' universal language. As academic counselors, we realize that each student's educational experiences and personal uniqueness are distinctive, so the advice is specifically tailored for the individual. The counselor's primary responsibility is to guide the student's journey through his/her years at Interlochen. There are many parts to this responsibility. Although registering a student for classes is commonly thought of as a counselor's sole responsibility, we realize that our role is more than registration. For young artists, nothing is better than living and learning alongside others who share a creative passion. Students have countless opportunities to perform and share their work with others. In turn, they enjoy and learn from their peers' work, who are some of the most dedicated young artists in the world. With support and encouragement from friends, faculty, and well-known guest artists, Academy students find time for self-discovery and growth. They find a place where they can be themselves. The campus is a safe, residential setting where students learn independence and self-reliance sooner than their peers attending other schools - a real advantage when preparing for college. Despite their busy schedules, students still find time to have fun and develop friendships that last a lifetime. Deep conversations over dinner in Stone Cafeteria, impromptu jam sessions, weekly "coffeehouses" performances, walk through the woods, enjoying a guest artist performance, and organized off-campus trips - these are some of the ways students can relax and enjoy the company of their friends and fellow artists. Comprehensive college-preparatory classes prepare students for future success—in any field. Students attend class from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day, merging accelerated academic instruction with intensive artistic studies. Arts and academic instructors collaborate to provide a holistic approach to learning where maths, science, history, and literature complement a student's creativity. The academic faculty use students' strengths as creative learners to develop a greater appreciation for academic subjects. The process opens students' eyes to the sciences and humanities while preparing them for the rigors of the world's most competitive colleges and universities. View full school
