About Me

  1. The University of Wales Trinity Saint David System will transform higher education and training in Wales. Central to this new model will be establishing a new sustainable planning framework that will encompass, nurture, stimulate, and promote the development of coherent educational pathways across a wide range of institutions. The UWTSD Group includes Coleg Sir Gâr and Coleg Ceredigion as part of a dual sector group structure comprising further education colleges and universities. The UWTSD Group has over 25,000 learners across 17 campuses in rural and city locations. Together we deliver clear, tangible benefits for learners, employers, industry, and communities by offering a vocational approach from entry to post-doctoral research. The Group will be further strengthened with the University of Wales merger into UWTSD in due course. The University's main campuses are situated in various locations in and around Swansea's city center and in the rural towns of Lampeter and Carmarthen in South West Wales. The Wales International Academy of Voice, under the Directorship of Dennis O'Neill with Dame Kiri Te Kanawa as its patron, is located in Cardiff. Also, the University has a Business School in London for international students. UWTSD has a clear and exciting strategic plan which emphasizes applied learning, strong academic disciplines, and a clear commitment to innovation, enterprise, and knowledge transfer. This connected University is driving through structural and strategic change, closely associated with the industry, business, and enterprise. The University has a clear national profile – delivering for Wales and celebrating its distinctiveness on the UK and international stage. The learner experience is at the heart of our mission. We have placed sustainability at the core of our planning. Developed through our award-winning Institute of Sustainable Practice, Innovation, and Resource Effectiveness (INSPIRE), we have embedded sustainable development through our learning, teaching, curricula, campus, community, and culture. We aim to inspire individuals and develop reflective graduates and practitioners who can make a difference in society. Through work-based learning, research of international excellence, and knowledge transfer networks, we aim to play a pivotal role in promoting social justice, economic renewal, and the development of social and cultural capital. The University of Wales Trinity Saint David System will transform higher education and training in Wales. Central to this new model will be establishing a new sustainable planning framework that will encompass, nurture, stimulate, and promote the development of coherent educational pathways across a wide range of institutions. The core values of the University are derived from our learner-focused mission and vision and are articulated and advanced through the promotion of the following planning themes: Collaboration through the establishment of a range of strategic relationships at regional, national, and international levels. Such networks will have the potential to inspire our learners, staff, and partners to create exciting new learning futures. Inclusivity through putting learners first and championing lifelong learning without barriers, and supporting students from all backgrounds and at all stages of their education. Wales and its distinctiveness through celebrating the distinctive linguistic and cultural assets and heritage of Wales. The concept of Global Citizenship through the development of other multi-national activities and opportunities for our learners, staff, and partners. Research and its impact on policy by ensuring that our research activity and outcomes influence the evidence-based policies developed in Wales and beyond. UWTSD at a glance. The University's Royal Charter is the oldest of any university in Wales and England after the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge. Our Lampeter campus was founded in 1822 and received its Royal Charter from King George IV in 1828. The Carmarthen campus was the first center for teacher training in Wales, established in 1848, and we can also claim one of the first art schools in the UK, established in Swansea in 1853. I am delighted that His Royal Highness, the Prince of Wales, is our Royal Patron. We take great pride in our history and our connection to it, mainly how it has provided us with the determination and confidence to shape our future. Today, the University of Wales Trinity Saint David is a dynamic and ambitious institution with campuses across three counties in West Wales and the Wales International Academy of Voice in Cardiff and campuses in London for our international students. Our transformational journey continues with the inclusion of Coleg Sir Gâr and Coleg Ceredigion as constituent colleges within the UWTSD Group. We are creating a new education system providing progression routes from entry-level to doctoral studies within the region. These opportunities are connected to employers' needs and respond to the economic and social needs of Wales within a broader global context. We are committed to placing our students at the center of our mission by providing a relevant and inspiring bilingual curriculum, providing a supportive learning environment, investing in our campuses and facilities, and ensuring that students from all backgrounds are allowed to achieve their potential. After all, universities are about students, their experiences, the opportunities they have here to challenge concepts, develop as individuals, and thrive. We aim to develop reflective graduates and practitioners who can make a difference in society. We are committed to sustainable development and the environment as one of our underpinning values. It is a theme that is woven into the student experience enabling the UWTSD graduate to develop the right knowledge, skills, and attributes to take their place wherever they may be in the future. We believe that the University of Wales Trinity Saint David is the Connected University connected through a range of strategic partnerships that we have developed at regional, national and international levels, which inspire our learners, staff, and partners. Our connections extend to public, private, and voluntary sector employers working with us to develop relevant programs and activities to maximize opportunities for job growth and investment in the region. Universities must also be powerhouses for economic change. This is why UWTSD is focused on enterprise and innovation, enabling our staff and students to transform ideas into real opportunities and solutions for business. I am proud of our track-record for applied research, and our international work in the areas of Applied Design and Engineering are critical areas of development for the University. The University has submitted a sample of 160 publications from 49 members with internationally and globally leading research to the Research Excellence Framework 2014. These are in Art and Design, Celtic Studies (joint submission with the Centre for Advanced Welsh and Celtic Studies at the University of Wales), Classics General Engineering Geography, Environmental Studies and Archaeology, and Theology and Religious Studies. The role of universities to foster civic pride is significant as they provide and support cultural, social, and economic activity by their very existence. The University of Wales Trinity Saint David has an impressive pedigree as a community and civic institution. Our campuses in Carmarthen, Lampeter, and Swansea have enabled us to foster excellent links within the community so that the University, its resources, and services are celebrated as regional assets. Our Cardiff activities, based around the Wales International Academy of Voice, and our campus in London continue these excellent traditions. We aim to create social and cultural hubs where events, activities, and facilities draw the public, business, and organizations into the University environment. View full university

  3. At Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy, students benefit from the continuity of an academically challenging, college preparatory curriculum that spans preschool through 12th grade. Founded and sustained in the Episcopal tradition, the school's environment reflects Christian values' joy and peace, emphasizing educating the whole child – mind, body, and spirit. Students who "Start Here" build a strong foundation of skills and are prepared to "Go Anywhere" – in college, career, and life. We strive to foster spiritual formation in a grace-filled and inclusive manner. That "inclusive manner" is a distinguishing hallmark of the Anglican approach to education over many centuries. We are Christian, our spiritual underpinnings rooted in the life and teachings of Jesus Christ and the belief that God loves each of us and desires to be in a relationship with us. The Holy Bible informs and guides our experience as a community of faith in regular chapel services and the Holy Eucharist's monthly celebrations. The Episcopal Book of Common Prayer provides the liturgical framework for our worship services. Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy is a private day school for students in preschool through high school. While all students and faculty attend our school chapel services, we desire that all persons of all denominations, non-Christian faith traditions, or of no religious tradition feel embraced, respected, and valued. All are invited to participate actively in our worship services. We encourage all who attend or work at Holy Trinity to seek clarity about their own beliefs and religions and to honor those traditions more fully and faithfully in their own lives. We want everyone at our school to build lives of genuine meaning, purpose, and service in the world they will inherit. A spiritual foundation is essential to such a life. Accordingly, we believe we were created to: Be a community that honors, celebrates, and worships God as the center of life. Be a model of God's love and grace. Serve God in Christ in all persons, regardless of origin, background, ability, or religion. Strive for justice and peace among all people and to respect the dignity of every human being. To further support our commitment to providing the best in technology education for our students, we provide third through sixth graders with the option to take a coding class one day a week during their P.E. time, in addition to the computer science already included in their curricula. We also offer TEAM (Tigers Excel at Media) classes for our fifth and 6th graders. TEAM skills include mobile application development, computer programming (coding) keyboarding, 3-D printing, laser cutting, creating digital presentations, and the responsible use of digital media. Sixth graders who choose to participate in the Enrichment Wheel instead of taking Beginner Band may enroll in a Media Class as one of their choices. Here, they learn to create and edit digital images, work with digital audio, and create high-quality video productions. Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy, a school, founded and sustained in the Episcopal tradition, offers an academically challenging curriculum in an environment that reflects Christian values' joy and peace. We welcome motivated students of average and above-average ability from any religious, racial, social, or ethnic group. Each student and family is encouraged by competent faculty and staff to participate fully in the academic community's spiritual, athletic, artistic, and social life. As our students grow to appreciate their value to themselves and the school community, they will leave Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy with valuable tools for effective learning and living. The Board of Trustees, students, faculty, staff, and families of Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy share the vision of an academic community based on the love of God, self-respect, respect for one's neighbors, and respect for God's creation, thus fostering moral and ethical decision-making throughout the entire community. The Holy Trinity community affirms this commitment by demonstrating a strong work ethic, embracing others' uniqueness, encouraging a spirit of cooperation, and promoting a sense of fair play. Our experienced and highly qualified administration and faculty create an atmosphere that instills a lifelong love of learning, combining a challenging college-preparatory curriculum with a supportive and nurturing environment. We achieve our prep school promise by combining traditional academic standards with modern approaches to learning, allowing students to gain success and learn the adaptability skills that are frequently changing, the technology-based world demands. Holy Trinity students have all the benefits of accelerated learning without the pressures that often accompany it. Daily Episcopal chapel service, robust offerings in the arts and athletics, and extracurricular activities develop and nurture the whole child – mind, body, and spirit. They are empowered to reach their fullest potential while developing confidence that will endure throughout their lives. Lower School Address: 50 West Strawbridge Avenue, Florida Postal Code: 32901

  6. Trinity Grammar School, Kew has an esteemed history of educating boys that extends over 115 years. Therefore, its traditions are vital, and its motto of Viriliter Agite – Act Manfully – remains the school's guiding principle. However, a modern view of manfulness requires much more than its traditionally ascribed characteristics of courage and stoicism. Accordingly, Trinity prides itself on preparing boys for a self-satisfying and happy life, a life of resilience, respectfulness, and fulfilling relationships of compassion to others and contribution to the broader society and communities they live in. In my regular contact with Trinity boys, both current and past, We are always inspired by their leadership, determination, and drive. We are sure you will be impressed by them too. Blessed with outstanding staff and world-class facilities, the Trinity offering extensively covers the curricular, co-curricular, pastoral, and spiritual domains. These can be appraised on other pages of this website and demonstrate that the school is focused on holistic education for the boys in its care. Open and honest communication is welcome at Trinity, and we genuinely encourage personal contact. Opportunities to visit the school are plentiful, and we look forward to joining us to observe our staff and students in action. Our Vision The holistic development of each student – spiritually, emotionally, intellectually, physically, socially, and morally, within a school recognized for excellence. Our Mission To grow exceptional young men empowered to contribute to the global community with courage, humility, and integrity. Our Values are Excellence – giving our best in everything we do Truth – using truthful speech and being honest in our actions Humility – holding our power for the good of others Integrity – Doing the right thing even when no one is watching Courage – persisting in the face of challenge Service – caring deeply for the needs of others The Early Learning Centre (ELC) provides a lively and enthusiastic introduction to boys and girls between the ages of three and five years. The program operates five days a week and offers a full-day program. Children can attend for five days, three days (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday), or two days (Tuesday and Thursday). The ELC offers a safe, creative, and challenging environment that encourages children to explore this secure setting in their own time and at their own pace. Preference is given to families in order of enrolment. Children commencing in the Three Year Old Group must have had their third birthday by 31 January in the year of entry, and children entering the Four Year Old Group must have had their fourth birthday by 31 January in the year of entry. We encourage parents to discuss their child's particular requirements with teaching staff before commencement. Before and After Care Programs complement the ELC Program to maintain a balanced day for the children and accommodate working parents' needs. The children become an integral part of the school. This is enhanced by their participation in specialist classes such as Music, Library and Physical Education, and a Buddy Program with the Year 3 boys. The curriculum for Years 7 and 8 at Trinity is designed as a two-year sequence. During these first and critical years of secondary education, students are introduced to the full range of learning opportunities on offer at the school while also developing the personal, social, and organizational skills which will hold them in good stead for the remainder of their education. Core subjects such as English, Mathematics, Science, and LOTE run almost every day, giving students maximum opportunity to benefit from regular face-to-face teaching in these critical areas. Humanities and Arts subjects also run on most days. However, students change between subjects regularly. Overall, the program sees students studying only eight subjects per term, giving them unrivaled opportunities to develop positive relationships with all of their teachers. One of Trinity's great strengths has always been the supportive learning relationships between students and teachers. Our dedicated staff pride themselves on knowing each boy as an individual and understanding his skills, passions, strengths, and weaknesses. Seeing students more often makes it possible for these strong relationships to form and grow. The Year 9 curriculum focuses on the increasing globalization and interconnectedness of the world into which students will move post-school. This takes place through the lens of a Chinese culture study, which sees all boys participate in a three-week immersion experience in China. The core curriculum is expanded by introducing a suite of semester-length subjects, the aim of which is to help each boy develop a clearer sense of his interests, passions, and enthusiasm. The subject choices made in Year 9 do not commit students to a particular program in the final three years of schooling, and as such, this year should be seen as a further opportunity for boys to explore disciplines and subject areas. The core English program in Year 9 follows the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum. Where appropriate, relevant language subjects will also be aligned with this course. The life of a Year 10 student at Trinity is busy, engaging, focused, and fun. During this year, boys are encouraged to choose the subjects that they will attempt in the first year of their VCE program. This is the time when they must start to think about possible university courses and career pathways. To assist them in this process, all students undertake a work experience placement. Also, a guided testing program is used to help them uncover their aptitudes, interests, passions, and areas for development, all of which help them make informed choices. The Year 10 program's academic rigor increases significantly throughout the year to prepare each student for the challenges and opportunities presented by their final two years of secondary school. In addition to the core academic program, students are given access to a significant number of elective options, each of which is designed to broaden their skills and challenge their perceptions of the world. Trinity students learn to question the assumptions that underpin global interactions and the extent to which they can be a positive influence locally, nationally, and globally. By the end of the Year 10 program, Trinity students are academically and socially prepared for the years ahead. View full school
  7. Trinity provides an abundance of opportunities that fosters boys' development into men and allows boys to turn potential into reality. Our mission at Trinity Grammar School is to help boys discover their innate talents and unlock their full potential within the context of a supportive Christian environment. We have guided boys to grow in mind, body, and spirit for over a century, and we know what boys need to flourish and succeed truly. Each year when I meet the new boys on their first day of school, I am filled with the hope that every student will be able to discover his unique God-given talents, enabling him to grow into the best man he can be. With an extensive range of world-class educational programs, including the International Baccalaureate, vocational competencies, and one of the broadest range of co-curricular activities, Trinity provides a wealth of opportunities for every boy to develop his skills, whatever they might be. Fuelled by a pastorally aware culture with exceptionally high individual student attention levels, we pride ourselves on knowing, understanding, and nurturing every student. I have the privilege and the pleasure of conducting one-on-one interviews with our senior graduating students. I witness a Trinity education's real success by speaking with the well-rounded young men our boys have become. If you want your son to receive an outstanding Christian holistic education where he will be nurtured to grow into a clear and passionate man about his unique talents, consider Trinity. We look forward to welcoming your family to the Trinity community, where your son will have his best opportunity to realize his unique potential, passions, and purpose in life. Trinity Grammar School understands the importance of making a good beginning. From the significant foundation years of schooling, boys are provided with opportunities to develop in mind, body, and spirit. The boys' needs are met by a differentiated, inquiry-based curriculum, delivered by motivated, creative, and caring classroom teachers using exceptional facilities and resources. At the core of this is the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP), which guides boys to become independent inquiry learners. The PYP, for students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6, focuses on developing the whole child in the classroom and the world outside. It offers a framework that meets each child's academic, social, physical, emotional, and cultural needs. Delivering the Board of Studies curriculum outcomes, the PYP Programme adopts a comprehensive approach to learning with a global perspective. Based on an inquiry learning model, the PYP gives your son ownership of his learning to develop his research and critical thinking skills. He will pursue his interests and make meaningful connections with what he is learning to his home, the community, and the world. This breadth of experience will help him to become a socially conscious, internationally-minded, and independent learner. 12. Through the vision and efforts of dedicated Boston area leaders in finance, education, and faith, Boston Trinity Academy opened its doors in September 2002. These founders shared a common goal to address one of the greatest needs for the young people of Boston — a rigorous college preparatory school founded on the Christian faith principles accessible to students from all neighborhoods, ethnicities, and socioeconomic backgrounds. As a result of this vision, Boston Trinity Academy established a program of academic rigor enriched with co-curricular activities for a truly diverse student body. In 2002, Boston Trinity Academy launched with 54 students in grades 6-9 in a rented school building on Beacon Street in Brookline. Adding a grade each year, the school soon grew to 125 students, and in June 2006, the first senior class of 16 graduated — all college bound. In September of that year, the school purchased its facility and moved to an expansive five-acre campus in Boston's Hyde Park neighborhood. Currently, Boston Trinity Academy is educating nearly 250 students in grades 6 through 12. Boston Trinity Academy is a Christian, coed, college preparatory middle and high school. We educate a diverse student body from across the Great Boston area in grades 6-12. We are committed to providing an exceptional academic experience that inspires each student to excel in a Christ-centered community where they are known and loved. Our graduates demonstrate the intellect, leadership, and moral character they learn here as they succeed at numerous top colleges and universities and in life beyond. At Boston Trinity Academy, we know and love every student, guiding and challenging each one to thrive as a whole person. The school's motto is VIA, VERITAS, VITA, the way, the truth, and the life, which becomes the integration of faith, learning, and service in our curriculum. The combination of a strong faith culture, demanding academics, and service to others refines character and unites a community with social, economic, and racial differences. The result of our educational philosophy is a community of learners who love and serve others. Our faculty is the heart of Boston Trinity Academy. They inspire students to love learning, think inquisitively, and reason analytically. Our young scholars write and re-write, explore scientific concepts, perform Shakespeare, compete in interscholastic athletics, and study the classics. Students at Boston Trinity Academy engage the world with their whole selves, and our graduates are distinguished by their intellect, integrity, service, and moral vision. This culmination of our mission in their lives results in the glory and honor of God. Boston Trinity Academy educates students from diverse backgrounds in an academically demanding, Christ-centered community, inspiring them to lead lives of faith, integrity, and service. To that end, Boston Trinity Academy: Knows and cares for each student, based on the love of Jesus Christ Promotes rigorous scholarship that integrates faith and learning Recruits students and families from all social, economic, and racial backgrounds Teaches Christian principles in order to transform society and the world Graduates students distinguished by their intellect, leadership, and moral character Students at Boston Trinity Academy learn to engage the world with curiosity and purpose. Through rigorous scholarship, they seek more than answers - they want proper understanding. They rise to the challenge of demanding academics as they seek to grow in each discipline. In middle school, students gain a foundation of knowledge and success skills at the upper school level. Upper School students are prepared for admission to top colleges and universities across the country. Our graduates regularly report how well their Boston Trinity education prepared them for the rigor of college academics. After anticipating higher education demands, our graduates are pleased to find that they already have the skills they need to succeed. The community at Boston Trinity Academy is life-changing. Central to the Boston Trinity experience is the people - the friends, classmates, and teachers- make Boston Trinity what it is. But they don't just shape the school. This community shapes each student. When it's all said and done, not only will you be changed by what you learn, but the people you learn from and the people you learn will shape the person you become. Boston Trinity Academy is genuinely diverse but also truly united. Our shared pursuit of excellence, faith, service, and character unites us across differences of race, status, gender, neighborhoods, and faith backgrounds. Students learn from each other's perspectives. They learn to respect each other, even in disagreements. They make friends with others who don't look like them. Ultimately, they are supremely prepared to engage with a diverse world and global economy. Students not only love and care for each other - often across societal differences. They also actually like each other a lot. Friendships form that lasts far beyond graduation. Through classroom discussion, performances, clubs, athletics, and house competitions, much fun happens at Boston Trinity. In the Sixth Form they, along with our Sixth Form girls, are ready to make the most of all the educational and social advantages of our co-educational environment. 14. Our School has won major architectural awards and is not an ‘off-the-shelf design. The ‘village green’ atrium, dedicated refectory, the hall where the whole school can gather, elegantly curved corridors, and ecologically sensitive roofs all indicate the values and culture which make Trinity ‘no ordinary school’. The design and its internal colors reflect the icon of the Trinity which is the symbol of our community. We work in a place of beauty where a peaceful and calm atmosphere fosters learning and reflection. In addition to our sports hall, activity studio, gym, and outside games area we have the use of the Old Colfeians, Sutcliffe Park, and Tudor Sports Grounds, all within walking distance of the school. We aim to be a strong Christian community in which children and adults - all of whom reflect the goodness of God - can flourish. A community where pupils fulfill their potential and achieve the very best educational outcomes, enabling them to make good life choices, to uphold British Values, and to take their place as citizens of the wider world. We Are a Learning Community: The Christian Story - as told in Scripture - is central to who we are and what we do, and informs all of our learning. We have high expectations of ourselves and one another in every area of school life - we aspire to excel and we never give up. We are committed to restorative justice and discipline that is exercised with love where all have the opportunity to learn through their mistakes. We Are a Loving Family: We belong to a loving family which includes pupils, staff, parents, and governors - of all faiths and none which extends to our local churches and our community. We recognize and celebrate our equal worth, and seek to be inclusive of all. All have a ‘place at the table’, where we gather together in worship and are invited to share in the Eucharist. We Are Living Good Lives: As Jesus commanded us to love our neighbor, we seek to serve those in need within our community, and the wider community. We are committed to pursuing social justice - especially for those who are disadvantaged - preventing discrimination and improving outcomes for all pupils. We are all encouraged to exercise leadership and to take responsibility for ourselves and one another.
  15. Trinity Academy is a state-funded, independent, non-selective school. We opened in September 2014 with our first cohort of pupils joining the First Form (Year 7). At Trinity, we have a relentless focus on academic rigor and offer pupils of all backgrounds and abilities a style of education more usually associated with grammar schools or the independent sector. Every pupil is encouraged and supported throughout their time at the school to become the best that they can be. No one will ever be written off as 'unacademic'. Trinity expects most of its pupils will go on to university, with a significant proportion going to the very best universities. Although Trinity is not a faith school, we draw on the best of the Catholic education tradition in academic and pastoral matters while being committed to serving the whole community and treating all pupils equally. The school is open on equal terms to members of all denominations and faiths and those with no religious background. Participation in any religious activities is entirely voluntary and at parental discretion. Everything we do at Trinity is based on the school values of Wisdom, Fairness, Courage, and Self Discipline, underpinned by principles of inclusivity, integrity, respect, and high aspirations. Trinity provides a welcoming, safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for pupils. The highest standards of behavior are expected of everyone. Through a rigorous academic curriculum, rooted in high expectations and a ‘no excuses’ approach, every young person is given a world-class education. This will allow them to be the very best they can be in all aspects of their lives. The school’s vision and values are founded on the Cardinal Virtues of Prudence, Justice, Fortitude, and Temperance and draw inspiration from the Catholic Faith and Catholic educational tradition to prepare our pupils for a life of service to the common good. Trinity Academy is committed to making a significant contribution to developing educational excellence in South West London by being in the vanguard of rigorous and innovative teaching and learning practice by attending scrupulously to the spiritual, moral, social, intellectual, and physical development of every pupil and by creating an inclusive, safe environment in which pupils grow into independent, self-confident young adults ready to contribute to society and continue along their paths of learning. 17. Trinity International University-Florida are regional sites of Trinity International University, Deerfield, Illinois. The Miami-Dade location was established in 1993 following a close relationship with Miami Christian College. The Florida sites offer undergraduate and graduate degree programs represented by three schools of the university – Trinity College, Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and Trinity Graduate School. Trinity has a rich legacy that reaches back to the end of the 19th century beginning as a Bible Institute. It is the result of the merger of two Scandinavian immigrant church groups, who began schools to train their ministers and missionaries. The two groups were the Norwegian-Danish Free Church Association and the Swedish Evangelical Free Church of America. Since 1897, Trinity has flourished through many transitions. The latest transition occurred in January 1995 when Trinity College and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois and Trinity College in Miami, Florida united to become Trinity International University. The entire university is international and committed to serving the global church. Trinity offers students an international vision in a world that is increasingly independent and enrolls students from over forty countries on all our campuses. Trinity’s special mission is to do that which the great Western universities have ceased to do — provide excellence in academics as well as preparation for ministry and professions — all within the context of a Christian worldview and a Christian community. At Trinity International University-Florida we are committed to the same vision with which we were founded in 1897 and determined to follow in the footsteps of the great universities that were founded on the cornerstone belief that all wisdom lies in Jesus Christ. Our task, if we are to be salt in the world of our day, is to build institutions where we can think like Christians and learn to live as Christians in a culture in which both have become equally hard. Whether preparing to be pastors or missionaries or attorneys, teachers, counselors, scientists, corporate leaders, homemakers or public servants, whatever our calling under God, we need excellence in education, grounded in the lordship of Jesus Christ. That is the goal and task of Trinity International University. Trinity educates men and women to engage in God’s redemptive work in the world by cultivating academic excellence, Christian faithfulness, and lifelong learning. At the heart of Trinity’s mission lies its commitment to engage the culture for Jesus Christ. Trinity’s purpose is to enable its graduates—in all schools and in every discipline—to think and live like Christians in the twenty-first century. We believe that God calls his people into many kinds of the services Trinity’s calling is to prepare them to serve for his glory. We offer the rigorous academics Trinity International University is known for, at a location and pace that is convenient for your busy life. Trinity Bible College & Graduate School is committed to training and educating people with theological reflection and missional passion. People and communities everywhere will hear the good news of Jesus and see His love demonstrated. Over the coming years, Trinity Bible College and Graduate School will continue to develop its role as a leading Pentecostal Bible college in the USA and beyond. We will champion the cause of raising and training well-equipped leaders and prepare our students to be active, skilled individuals fitted for service in today’s world. We will emphasize lifelong learning, spiritual vitality, and life skills, ensuring that our graduates make a Christ-centered contribution to the communities in which they live and work. We will always take seriously the diverse world in which we live. From the view that accepts the Christian Gospel as the fundamental under-girding for life, we will ensure that our students are trained and encouraged to serve Jesus Christ authentically while handling complexity and diversity effectively. We will seek to pioneer the development of innovative training, scholarly understanding and critical awareness in order to prepare people to plant churches, enter the cross-cultural ministry or the workplace in such a way as to build churches and communities that genuinely show the life-changing power of Jesus Christ. We will adapt to changes in our society and culture by ensuring the development of talented, highly-skilled, and motivated staff, effective governance, management, and leadership. We will achieve this by providing well-resourced facilities and a commitment to network in an unthreatened way with churches and institutions that share our vision for a better world through the sending and placing of well trained Christian leaders. You may find a description of our beliefs in the Assemblies of God Statement of Fundamental Truths. Trinity Bible College and Graduate School (TBC & G.S.) are accredited by The Association of Biblical Higher Education (ABHE) in Good Standing, which is an institutional accrediting body recognized by Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and is listed in the Directory of Higher Education, published by the U.S. Department of Higher Education (D.E.). All of our academic programs share the central purpose of preparing Spirit-filled men and women for Christian service. Whether in the context of vocational ministry, education, business, music, counseling, or other areas of study, your personal, professional, and spiritual development are essential. Every B.A. and A.A. program at Trinity includes a core curriculum of classes in Bible and Theology. Most B.A. programs of study include the Major in Biblical Studies, particularly those with a vocational ministry focus. Due to the educational requirements of the Teacher Education and Business Administration programs, most students will choose the Biblical Studies Minor; however, some may choose the Biblical Studies Major to have a broader Bible basis. These programs of study are designed to integrate faith and learning. As you explore the variety of undergraduate degree programs offered at Trinity Bible College & Graduate School, you will discover that each Bachelor of Arts degree program has a Biblical Studies Major or Minor coupled with another Major or a Minor. That is because we believe that the study of Scripture becomes the foundation for Christian experience and life. Trinity Bible College & Graduate School offers an M.A. (Missional Leadership), an M.A. (Global Theology), and an M.A. (Rural Ministries). Let me tell you why I am so enthusiastic about these degrees. We have a highly experienced and qualified faculty. We believe that contemporary cutting edge education should be presented by people who believe what they teach and live it. The MA (Missional Leadership) is an innovative and inclusive degree that equips people in any leadership sphere, particularly Christian leadership. After serving for seven years in the U.K. and Europe and being exposed to rampant secularism and the postmodern milieu, we have sought to develop a program that will help leaders in these challenging but exciting times. Trinity Distance Education (D.E.) provides education and training to students across our nation. Whether you are just starting your college studies or are returning to finish your degree, our D.E. faculty has designed TBC online studies to help you learn the information and skills needed for your future, either as a vocational minister or as a Christian leader in another profession.

Since the class of 1904, Trinity has prepared its students to become leaders of character, passionate intellectuals excited about their future. Always welcoming to people of all faiths, Trinity was founded as a Catholic women’s college by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur in 1897. These nuns believed that women should have the same opportunity to experience the empowerment of higher education when many schools only accepted men. While remaining true to its original mission, Trinity began taking men into its evening and weekend programs during the 1960s. Today’s students participate in many unique traditions that root their academic experience in a culture unique to Trinity. For instance, each graduating class is given a color, either red (like the class of 1904), green, blue, or yellow. Throughout the year, flags, banners, and even students adorned in one of these hues, demonstrate class pride and a sense of togetherness. As the global community moves into the 21st century, educating a new generation of leaders and citizens equipped with the intellectual perspective and ecumenical knowledge of liberal learning is as essential as any other time in history. The ability to think critically, to write and speak, to make ethical judgments, to know the context of history and literature, to understand the fundamental economic and political forces affecting the psychology of whole peoples, these are the quantities essential to effective leadership in our ever-changing global environment. These are the hallmarks of a Trinity education in the liberal arts. Liberal learning at Trinity is enriched and enlarged by the resources of the nation’s capital, from internships in Congressional offices or scientific laboratories to research at the Library of Congress to participate in classes at any of the significant area universities through the Consortium of Universities. Trinity’s commitment to liberal learning derives its ultimate meaning from the core identity of the Trinity as a Catholic college. Beyond spiritual growth realized through theological studies and liturgies, the Trinity community also lives its faith through active service to people in Washington and around the country. Trinity’s commitment to teaching and liberal learning is also realized in the Honor System that governs all aspects of academic and co-curricular life on campus.

Education is about exploring your interests wherever they lead. Here, you can join any of our more than 140 student clubs and organizations.
