With the forceful current of constant change sweeping over every part of our lives, people need to connect with something enduring and firm. We believe Christ designed the church to fulfill that need by representing an eternal kingdom and ageless truth with no need to imitate the culture. We want you to know that there’s still a church that feels like a church. It won’t feel like a rock concert, comedy club, or motivational seminar. It's not old-fashioned, as in 50 years ago. It is timeless, as in 2,000 years ago. Please accept our invitation to join us this Sunday. In 1980, the Lord led Eric Thrush to start a church in Mount Helena, Western Australia. It quickly grew from a handful of people meeting in their homes to renting a room at Eastern Hills Senior High School. Just four years later ground was broken at 6 Chidlow St and a permanent building was erected. Later that same year the church again expanded its vision by opening a school, Bible Baptist Christian Academy. This ministry has been a wonderful addition and has proved an asset to many Christian families in our community. Through the years the church continued to expand its influence by adding an annual family camp in October, a youth camp during the Easter school holidays, children’s ministries, and in 2014 it added Hills Baptist Bible Institute as a place to train a new generation of Christian leaders. Bible Baptist Christian Academy is a small school specializing in Bible-based, Christian education from Pre-primary to Year 12. Founded in 1985, the school is located on the premises of Bible Baptist Church and operates as a ministry of the church. We believe in partnering with Christian homes in the development of students through education. As a result, the school is focused on Biblical principles and academic excellence while always striving to be distinctly Christian. The school holds to a Biblical worldview throughout its curriculum. - Rosedale Bible College is an evangelical junior Bible college in the Anabaptist/Mennonite tradition that equips students to grow spiritually and academically and serve effectively in the church and society. The average enrollment is approximately sixty students per term. The student body includes high school graduates, pastors, missionaries, and individuals from various vocations and professions. Students come from over half the states, several Canadian provinces, and a few foreign countries. Students studying at Rosedale pursue an associate degree in biblical studies as well as two co-curricular programs. The Associate in Biblical Studies is a two–year degree accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of the Association for Biblical Higher Education. The curriculum provides for a variety of concentrations to accommodate student interests and career or service goals. Concentrations include Bible, Education, General Studies, Missions, Music and Worship, Pastoral Studies, Theology, and Youth Ministries. Our vision and prayer here at Rosedale is that you will meet Jesus in new and profound ways. Through God’s grace, RBC is a place where you can grow in both your faith and your passion for His Kingdom. Life together on campus is both exciting and challenging. The classes will stretch you and prepare you to serve Christ in the world. Learning to live in the community will strengthen you and, at times, challenge you. That is why “grace” is the operative word around the student life team. As we strive to live lives of holiness in our walks as followers of Jesus, we want grace to season everything we do. We are excited that you are considering our community as a place to lay a strong academic and spiritual foundation. We are taking a step of faith and making a million-dollar offer to CMC to expand Rosedale Bible College’s role in supporting CMC’s newly adopted vision to “mature and multiply churches locally and globally.” The Multiply Scholarship offers up to $9,000 in support to one first-time student from each congregation in CMC for the 2018-19 school year. (Or, if you prefer, you can divide it between two or three or four (e.g., $4,500 each for two students, $3,000 each for three students, etc.). That will be up to each congregation to decide.) If every congregation takes us up on the offer, the total amount awarded in scholarships will come out to $990,000. The average cost of attending RBC is around $14,000. The Multiply Scholarship reduces that to about $5,000. If a student is eligible for federal or state financial aid, the cost could go still lower. Some students may be able to attend with no out-of-pocket expense. Begun in 1952 as a six-week Bible school in Berlin, Ohio, Rosedale Bible College has developed an accredited two-year degree program that includes a core curriculum of Bible, theology, leadership, and mission courses. From simple beginnings in the Pleasant View Mennonite Church with students lodged in area homes, the school has grown to a 166-acre campus, including men’s and women’s dormitories, a classroom building, gymnasium, cafeteria, staff, and married student apartments, and library-chapel-office complex. The chapel has a seating capacity of 500 and is used to host community events and school programs. Rosedale Bible College has played a formative role in the lives of thousands of students, giving many a firmer intellectual basis for faith as well as more passion for Christ and the church. Hundreds of congregational and missionary leaders have been significantly nurtured through their institution's experiences, whether at the Bible school in Berlin, Rosedale Bible Institute, or Rosedale Bible College. Our vision is to be a vibrant University exalting Jesus Christ, preparing culturally intelligent students for diverse careers in the global marketplace. Graduating Godly Individuals Prepared to Serve Christ in Church and Society. Grace is the most affordable private University in West Michigan and was recognized as the fastest-growing Bible University in 2016 by the ABHE. We are excited about you joining us. We exist to give you a place to BELONG, BELOVED, and BE PURPOSEFUL. Grace Christian University serves the evolving needs of church and society by offering a variety of degrees. Our education is powerful, personal, and relevant to the 21st century's needs while also reflecting the timeless truths of Scripture. Regardless of which degree a student pursues, a biblical focus is integrated into every course. Grace faculty members are role models who engage students' minds and hearts as they prepare to pursue their calling. The Grace Christian University faculty, staff, and students are committed to being a growing community. By that, we mean that each of us, starting with the President, realizes that we are still in process. We are not all that God designed and purposed us to be, nor are we content with that condition. Through competent instructors committed to academic excellence, and staff and administration committed to serving and growing, we believe Grace Christian University can be used by God to change your life. The day's prevalent mentality is intent on tolerance and policing certain words and activities deemed inappropriate or incorrect according to their own vacillating set of values. Grace Christian University believes that the Word of God's eternal truths and values rightly divided are principles that pervade all areas of life and education. The Apostle Paul states, For in Him all things were created both in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him, all things hold together…so that He might come to have first place in everything. Grace Christian University is committed to preparing the leaders of tomorrow to be all that God wants them to be, educationally, socially, physically, and spiritually. If that is your heart's desire—Grace is the place for you. Grace began in 1939. It was founded as Milwaukee Bible Institute, a training center for laypeople and Sunday school teachers of Milwaukee. Reverend Charles F. Baker organized the Institute, then pastor of Fundamental Bible Church. The regular day school program began in 1945. This move was stimulated by a group of evangelical pastors, mostly concerned about advancing a dispensational theology approach to the Bible, the distinctive character of the revelation given to the apostle Paul, and the preparation of full-time Christian workers to fulfill this goal. In 1953, the curriculum was broadened, and Milwaukee Bible Institute became Milwaukee Bible College. In 2010, Grace began a non-traditional education program offering working adults an opportunity to study one night a week or exclusively online and earn an Associate or Bachelor's Degree. The Beyond the Bricks Capital Campaign was a revitalization of the campus, which added a new student commons and upgraded exterior parking, walkways, and landscaping. God blessed the College's student enrollment efforts as it doubled the traditional student count by 2015, and even more non-traditional students enrolled. This growth helped Grace grow its program in both size and quality of academic and student services. Most faculty hold doctoral degrees. Over the years, Grace has formed consortiums with two local colleges: Davenport and Cornerstone Universities, which allow students to graduate with dual degrees in Business and Education and a few other degrees offered by Cornerstone. Dr. Samuel R. Vinton was Grace's third President from 1985-1989. Under President Vinton's initial regional accreditation was granted to the University by the North Central Association (now the Higher Learning Commission) with Dr. Marlin Olson and others' hard work. In January 2016, after accreditation approval by the HLC, the College began its graduate program with the first degree – a Masters in Ministry, recently adding another graduate degree in organizational leadership. These classes are formatted for graduates already serving and are therefore entirely online. In 2017, the Board of Directors of the College unanimously voted to change the name of the College to Grace Christian University. This change officially took place on July 1, 2018. Grace Christian University reflects the institution's study programs' expansion and excellence while also showing the commitment to our valuable past. Bible remains a core value and a significant portion of all degree programs. The vocational ministry also continues to be an institutional priority as well. Praise God; there are hundreds/thousands of Grace alumni serving the Lord with significant impact in various vocational settings around the world today. View full university
- We glorify God and serve His Church by providing higher education centered in Holy Scripture and shaped by Wesleyan conviction. Our vision is to develop a spiritually, vibrant institution that is academically excellent, growth-oriented, student-centered, and financially sound. We have top-notch faculty working in Biblical languages, theology, apologetics, counseling, educational technology, mentoring, and ministry practice. We offer many topics to choose from, including Biblical studies, world missions, education, music, and professional studies, to name a few. Our ABHE accreditation certifies that we are Biblically based and ministry oriented. Our Regional accreditation certifies that we operate at a high level of excellence in everything we do. Together these accreditations assure our students that they are receiving the best possible education for life and ministry. SSC staff offer consultations for any writing assignment at any stage of the writing process—from brainstorming for ideas to making final revisions. Appointments, walk-ins, and online submissions are welcome. The Student Success Center (SSC) is located in the R.G. Flexon Memorial Library. It is open throughout the week, giving students opportunities to take advantage of academic assistance, whether for a specific class or classes in general. The SSC's mission is to enable students to meet the academic requirements of their courses and improve their learning techniques. SSC writing consultants provide feedback and suggestions to students either through face-to-face appointments or electronic communication for online submissions. As a teaching and mentoring college, we work hard to make quality advising and counseling available to our students. While faculty focus mainly on academic advisement, students often seek counsel from academic advisors related to other areas' difficulties. When students feel overwhelmed because they are taking challenging classes and trying to work a full-time job, the pressure tends to affect more than academics. Emotional difficulties might surface. Relationships might suffer. Spiritual vitality may be sapped. Therefore, the student's advisor knows the most about these matters and is in an excellent position to help. To find your advisor, contact your division. The counseling/advising program is an essential part of campus life at God's Bible School and College. It is provided by the Counseling Center, Vice President for Student Affairs, Resident Directors, and various faculty and staff members. Students at little or no charge. The counseling office is located on the lower classroom level in the Knapp Memorial Building. To make an appointment, contact the Student Affairs Office for phone numbers to contact the counselors directly. In addition to the on-campus counseling, the college works with off-campus counseling centers and offers referrals when needed or when students request off-campus options. Ordained clergy are available to students for pastoral counseling, prayer, and advising. In addition to the professional and pastoral counseling available, faculty and staff members provide lay counseling and advising to assist students through difficult times and decision making. The campus libraries of God's Bible College include the R.G. Flexon Memorial Library, the Schmul Library, Ministerial Resource Center, the Gale Center, and Library, and the College Archives and Special Collections. Students may apply for the numerous privately funded scholarships that are available. These scholarships are awarded according to each scholarship's specific criteria, the student's merit, and need. Awards range from $50 to as high as $5,500. The International Student Scholarship is for international students who have graduated from high school and show proof of financial need. This is a tuition-only scholarship for up to 8 consecutive semesters. Students who graduate from high school with valedictorian or salutatorian honors and receive high overall scores on the SAT or ACT plus Writing may be eligible for a scholarship. Verification of valid/sal must be submitted in writing from the high school or clearly show a #1 on the final transcript. Home school students may also be eligible based on SAT / ACT plus Writing scores. Students whose parents are involved in full-time Christian service may be eligible for a discount on tuition. Their ministry occupation must be their primary source of income. This is a 20% tuition-only discount that is applied after another financial aid is awarded. Our leadership provides the direction, vision, and accountability that has kept us right to our mission and His mandate for over 115 years. Our entire leadership team gives oversight to all the areas of campus life. They each seek to create a culture of leadership that is modeled on the Word of God. At the same time, this culture is lived out to prepare our students for servant leadership. Today you see mission changes all around you, in business and government, and even the church. But when you look at us, you see a mission that has remained the same for over 100 years. As in 1900, so today, we welcome students into a community where personal transformation takes place as the Holy Spirit calls, prepares, and propels men and women into lifelong discipleship and ministry. You see this in the godly, capable staff and faculty who mentor students into driven disciples — from the students who became the Ten Boys of Japan in 1917, to Brennan and Ivon Muir in Mexico in 2015. - Maranatha Baptist Bible College and Seminary strive today to fulfill its mission of more than 40 years—to develop leaders for ministry in the local church and the world “To the Praise of His Glory.” Students can choose from more than 30 majors, 40 minors, and six graduate programs. Courses were taught to a combined 1,169 students through the College, Seminary, and Maranatha Online during the 2011-12 academic year. The students came from 44 states and 12 countries. Several distinctions set Maranatha apart from other Christian colleges. From a spiritual perspective, its fundamental Baptist position and local church emphasis are vital. From an academic perspective, regional accreditation and the broad scope offer graduates nearly unlimited career and ministry opportunities. All students must complete a core of Bible courses as well as the requirements for their major and minor. “I want parents and students to know we will stay true to our foundation, to the fundamentals of the faith that are as important to them as they are to us,” College President Dr. Marty Marriott said. “We will always be Baptist, biblical, dispensational, and evangelistic. We will always emphasize the local church. Those are non-negotiables. There are not going to be sudden shifts in what we believe or how we apply those beliefs. We are going to stay the course that has been laid out for us over the last 40 years.” View full university

For each of these programs, students remain enrolled at LBC and thus are eligible for financial aid, but not for LBC's in-house scholarships. Students should work closely with their advisors and the registrar's office to ensure that credits earned will fit into their programs. Additional information is available at each program's website and from the Registrar's Office. Henry J. Heydt founded Lancaster Bible College in September 1933. Eight-day students and 14 evening students were enrolled in the original class, which met in the Convention Hall at West Orange and Pine Streets in Lancaster. William J. Randolph '50 succeeded Heydt as president. From 1954-1961, President Randolph moved the school toward accreditation, and the size of the campus grew, initiated by a gift of land in 1957 from Mr. and Mrs. J. Martin Esbenshade. In 1961, the school's academic dean, Stuart E. Lease, was elected president. During his 17-year presidency, the student body grew to more than 400 students, and the campus expanded to 36 acres. Finally, in 1973, the school earned provisional approval to grant a Bachelor of Science in Bible, and the school officially became Lancaster Bible College (LBC). View full university

Core Values We are committed to . . . upholding the authority and inspiration of the Bible proclaiming the whole Gospel for the whole person throughout the whole world encouraging each person to become an entirely devoted follower of Jesus Christ providing a theological context that respects and serves the broader Church operating from a Wesleyan/Arminian theological perspective supporting the doctrine and lifestyle expectations of The Wesleyan Church Statement of Faith Owned and operated by The Wesleyan Church, Kingswood University affirms the Articles of Religion, as found in The Discipline of The Wesleyan Church, which includes the following summary of doctrinal beliefs in God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus Christ the Son suffered in our place on the Cross, that He died but rose again, and that He now sits at the Father’s right hand until He returns to judge all humanity on the last day. We believe in the Holy Scriptures as the inspired and inerrant Word of God. We believe that by the grace of God, every person has the ability and responsibility to choose between right and wrong and that those who repent of their sin and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ are justified by faith. We believe that God not only counts the believer as righteous, but that He makes such persons righteous, freeing them of sin’s dominion at conversion, purifying their hearts by faith and perfecting them in love at entire sanctification, and providing for their growth in grace at every stage of their spiritual life, enabling them through the presence and power of the Holy Spirit to live victorious lives. Kingswood University began as the Holiness Bible Institute in October 1945, in Woodstock, New Brunswick. The school was founded by the Alliance of the Reformed Baptist Church of Canada with the primary purpose of training ministers within the Atlantic region. In 1947, the school relocated to Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, and was renamed Bethany Bible College. Eighteen years later, the leaders explored the possibility of relocating to a site that would be more central for the constituency and would provide more growth opportunities. On September 18, 1965, Bethany Bible College reopened on the Sussex campus with two buildings on top of the hill overlooking the beautiful Kennebecasis Valley. Named in honor of President Conard Stairs, who led the new campus's vision, Stairs Hall housed administration offices, classrooms, the chapel, and dining hall. Ingersoll House, which was named in honor of Rev. H. R. Ingersoll, provided dormitory housing. In 1983, the Province of New Brunswick authorized the college to grant degrees. Bethany Bible College became accredited through the Commission on Accreditation of the Association for Biblical Higher Education in 1987. The school has since added other Associate of Arts and Bachelor degree programs, and a Master of Arts in Pastoral Theology. In 2011, Bethany Bible College was renamed Kingswood University to serve better our purpose of equipping servant leaders for global impact. More property was acquired over the years, and dorms, classrooms, and faculty offices have been added. In 2008, the Saunders Irving Chapel was dedicated and served as the center point of the campus. Following a complete modernization and refurbishment of the library in 2010, the Earle & Marion Trouten Library was renamed and rededicated. These significant additions, along with other major renovations, provide an excellent campus atmosphere for learning and worship. Kingswood University exists to prepare men and women for vocational Christian ministry. Our graduates serve across North America and in 28 countries around the world. As we celebrate over 70 years of service to the Church, we remain committed to developing Christ-like spiritual leaders to serve God and His Church. View full university

These programs of study are designed to integrate faith and learning. The MA (Missional Leadership) is an innovative and inclusive degree that equips people in any leadership sphere, particularly Christian leadership. What makes Appalachian Bible College rise to the top among accredited Bible colleges and Christian universities? An unwavering belief that no matter your vocation, as a Christian, you are called to know and apply God's Word. For this reason, each Bachelor of Arts recipient graduates with two majors—one in Bible and Theology, the other in the Ministry Major of your choice. A double major ensures that you will understand God's Word and the capability to apply its truths. The Bible / Theology Major stresses the mastery of essential Bible content. He teaches the best in-depth Bible study skills, while the Ministry Major equips you for a life of practical ministry within a particular vocation. The Master of Arts in Ministry program at Appalachian Bible College is a 36-hour professional curriculum developed for individuals actively involved in ministries, such as pastors, missionaries, evangelists, and Christian educators and leaders. This academic assistance program consists of specialized testing, tutoring, and counseling to provide you with individualized attention and advice. Experience has taught me the importance of being proactive when it comes to academic tutoring and support. Every college has a student handbook that defines life on campus. In other words, the rule book! At Appalachian Bible College, it is called the "Servant's Staff" because it is a tool—just like a shepherd's staff—to guide you in becoming a more effective servant of God and others. The standards are meant to be a help, not a hindrance. Finding the right balance is accomplished through compassionate guidance and a constructive approach to nurturing character in light of God's Word. Occasionally, the intense atmosphere of college presents opportunities for counsel as character issues come to the surface. If you violate a standard, the student deans or resident assistants will call your attention to the character issue, as well as the reason and the scriptural basis for developing the applicable character quality. These talks are called "care-confrontations" and are approached with compassion. It is not the goal to point out every flaw in a student's life. Everyone is in the growing process. Not all standards in the Servant's Staff are based on the Bible. Some are necessary due to the college setting. Nor are the college's standards equated with God's standards. However, it is exciting to see growth in young men and women when they are shown from God's Word why He wants them to change an area in their life. Sometimes the transformation is dramatic and life-altering. The hope is that you will leave A.B.C. as an experienced, trained servant ready to be used by God. Nothing reveals character like competition. A.B.C.'s athletic philosophy is aimed at developing strong Warriors with humble hearts. Other schools often commend Appalachian Bible College teams for their sportsmanship. Intercollegiate sports are not the only athletic experience offered on campus. Whether it is Ultimate Frisbee, Basketball, or another sport, you will love being involved in intramurals. The time spent with friends makes for great memories. A balance of personal accountability, volunteer involvement, and required activities cultivates a stable and Christlike atmosphere at Appalachian Bible College. Come, grow in your relationship with the Lord alongside your peers and mentors. View full university

Why not spend this crucial time in your life investing in an education that will last for an eternity? You will never regret studying the Bible, and Faith will equip you with the foundation you need to take the Word to the World. In 1893 at the Chicago World's Fair, William H. Jordan heard D. L. Moody speak about the importance of training Christian workers for the ministry. Deeply impressed by Moody's vision, Jordan developed a burden to see schools established to carry on that vision. In 1921, he became pastor of Third Presbyterian Church in Omaha, Nebraska. The spark that D. L. Moody had ignited in Jordan produced a small, nondenominational Bible school known as the Omaha Bible Institute (OBI). Classes began in the summer of 1921 and continued for many years with Dr. Jordan as President of the school. During the mid-1940s, the trustees wondered whether the school should continue. One of the part-time faculty members was Dr. John L. Patten, pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Omaha, Nebraska. Dr. Patten shared Dr. Jordan's vision for the school and was firmly convinced that its need was still valid. So he volunteered to step into the place of leadership. In the mid-1950s, the institution aggressively sought Baptists' approval and support and changed the name to Omaha Baptist Bible Institute (OBBI). On June 22, 1956, the Council of Fourteen of the General Association of Regular Baptist Churches voted to approve OBBI as an independent, fundamental Baptist educational institution. The courses were broadened, and curricula expanded to establish the school on the collegiate level. The name was changed again in 1960 to Omaha Baptist Bible College (OBBC) to reflect this emphasis. Over the next few years, David Nettleton raised money and built a new campus in Ankeny. In 1969 he walked from Omaha to Ankeny to celebrate the sale of the Omaha campus and raise money for a classroom building. The move was accomplished during the summer of 1967, and Faith Baptist Bible College opened for classes that October. View full university

With our emphasis on biblical, gospel-centered training with a focus on urban ministry and racial reconciliation, Crossroads produces graduates through affordable and practical education. The Higher Education Opportunity Act (HEOA) requires that all colleges who participate in federal student aid programs must disclose certain information to current and prospective students and the faculty, staff, and employees. Crossroads Bible College exists to glorify God by training Christian leaders to reach a multiethnic urban world for Christ. You are balancing ministry, family, and life! Our online programs are flexible and convenient. You have dreamed of finishing your degree and enriching yourself and your ministry. Crossroads puts that dream within reach. CBC's Adult Degree Completion program is an accelerated, collaborative learning environment where one can earn college credits in a shorter time than a regular semester-based program. The program is fast-paced and requires a considerable amount of reading, writing, and diligence each week away from the classroom. Each course is taught in a 5-week module. There is limited examination. Instructors typically use projects to measure learning, spiritual growth, and skill development. Students can enter a cohort through rolling admission. A cohort experience is a place for learning, team building, and spiritual formation. Professors act as a facilitator and encourage shared learning experiences. The student brings his/her experiences to the classroom, as well. CBC will transfer up to 90 credit hours from an accredited college/university "C-"or higher. Transferred credits meeting required courses can be accepted, but the student is still required to complete at least 30 residential hours, which equals one year of active attendance. Biblical counseling and equipping fulfill the mandate in Ephesians 4:11-16 for church leaders to equip God's people to do the ministry's work by speaking the truth in love—the personal ministry of the Word. The Leadership and Ministry program is intended to provide Christian leaders with background and leadership skills and how they should be applied in ministry. Based on principles found in God's Word and the example set forth by Jesus Christ, students will learn biblical leadership concepts. A degree in Organizational Leadership prepares students to assume leadership roles within organizations, both Christian and secular. The focus is on biblical principles of ethics and their practical application in today's workplace. A foundational and comprehensive study of Life Learning recognizes the rich and diversified experiential learning for adult degree completion degrees. Emphasis is on the learning that students have experienced and earned through life vocations. Participation in this course allows the student to reflect on their life learning. Through the Credit by Demonstrated Competency (CDC) credit evaluation, the student will document selected topics, experiences, and skills. CDC application is submitted for evaluation for college credit at the Bachelor's level. The student documents learning. Students submit the necessary documentation work for the credit being earned in the Learning Management System. Professional ministry and other non-skilled learning experiences may require writing reflections and substantive evidence for credit to be received. Upon entrance to Crossroads, all students are assigned an Academic Advisor. Academic Advisors are available to support students towards achieving their educational, career, and life goals. Academic Advisors are available to assist students in declaring a major, registering for classes, dropping/adding a class, understanding school policies, using the campus management system, planning for the future, or any other academic matter. The goal is for students to be successful in the classroom if a student is encountering difficulty in any way, Academic Advisors are available to meet with students and consider strategies which may be helpful. For example, if a student might benefit from tutoring, please let your Academic Advisor know. Besides, students with documented learning disabilities should provide documentation in writing to their Academic Advisor before requesting any classroom accommodations. Do you love learning? These side-by-side structures all have three bedrooms and two bathrooms in each unit. Holly Hill is our largest housing area for families. Also, there are individual rooms available for $20 per adult per night and a one-bedroom apartment for $45 per night. Belzoni Alumni Hall houses single girls. There are six three-bedroom units capable of housing up to six girls per apartment or six. The apartments have a full kitchen, and cable television is provided. Dr. Lloyd Caswell Kelly, the pastor of the Pineville First Baptist Church, founded Clear Creek in 1926. His mission for bringing Christian education to the mountains was twofold. He was inspired to charter Clear Creek Mountain Springs, Inc. "...for educational, recreational and religious purposes, with two objectives in mind: (1) to provide grounds for assemblies and encampments and (2) to establish a base for a 'mountain mission' program." The first sessions for preachers were held July 18-August 1, 1926, with the twelve students. In 1946, the General Association of Baptists in Kentucky (now the Kentucky Baptist Convention) approved the school's name as Clear Creek Mountain Preacher's Bible School. The primary focus of the school continued to be educating God-called men and women for Christian ministry. From 1954-1982, Dr. Dennis Merrill Aldridge served as the second president of the school. Under his leadership, the school grew to offer a four-year baccalaureate degree. A charter revision in 1957 changed the name to Clear Creek Baptist School. From 1982-1988, Dr. Leon Dennis Simpson was President. He led the school to receive accreditation from the Accrediting Association of Bible Colleges (now Association of Biblical Higher Education) in 1986. At that time, the name was changed to Clear Creek Baptist Bible College. The Pomeroy Family Life Center was constructed. An innovative class schedule was adopted that encouraged enrollment of the commuting students. From 1988-2007 Dr. Bill D. Whittaker served as President of the college. Early in his administration, the college became debt-free and continues to operate without debt. In 1996, the Association of Biblical Higher Education reaffirmed the college's accreditation for ten years and then reaffirmed the accreditation until 2017. A successful capital campaign concluded in 1998 to complete a new classroom building and nearly a million dollars in the additional endowment. In June 1999, the college received accreditation with the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, and the accreditation was renewed in June of 2005. Dr. Donnie Fox has served as the fifth President of Clear Creek since 2007. The President's home was moved back on campus in the first year of his administration to interact with the campus family. The college continues to operate without debt under his leadership. View full university
- Our goal is to provide affordable education to raise as many servant-leaders for the church as possible. We believe so ultimately in what our students can do for Christ that we want to equip them with a quality education at an affordable price to keep their future ministry burdened by financial stress. That is why we have been providing the Full-Tuition Scholarship since 2001. Central Christian College of the Bible exists to develop servant-leaders for the church. Dedicated disciples who know God's Word and serve His kingdom. We are affiliated with the Restoration movement and the resulting Christian Churches. These are non-denominational independent churches governed by the congregation that value a church's return as written about in the New Testament. Because of this background, we hold deep value in the authority of the inspired Word of God and its authoritative voice in our lives today. Churches have indicated their approval of Central Christian College of the Bible by their support in financial gifts, by sending men and women to be trained for Christian service, and by employing Central alumni. As a result of being listed in the Directory of Higher Education, Central is approved by the Missouri Department of Higher Education for certification and distribution of veterans' benefits, allowing veterans to receive all the benefits they have earned by serving our country. Because Central is a United States Department of Education approved institution, Central students are eligible for federal grant and loan programs. Central participates in the Pell Grant Program, the Work-Study Program, the Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant Program, the Academic Competitiveness Grant program, and the Federal Stafford Student and Parent PLUS Loan Programs. Central's campus features seven buildings and two outdoor athletic fields. Pelfrey Hall contains the dining hall, gymnasium, offices, and classrooms. The Reese Resource Center, completed in 2001, contains the library and bookstore. Lang Hall is the men's residence hall, and Spurling Hallis, the women's residence hall. North of Pelfrey Hall is the maintenance facility. Built-in 2004, Mabee Foundation Hall houses both men and women on separate floors. The Walton Student Center opened in Fall 2010 to provide a place for Central's student body to fellowship and relax together. We hold ourselves to a high standard of Christian excellence. All students must sign a pledge to abstain from all alcohol, drugs, R-rated movies, M-rated video games, and hold themselves to a high standard of modesty and conduct. We are determined to guard our Christian witness and reputation as ambassadors of Christ with committed faithfulness. Dive deeply into the Bible, and discover the theology and philosophies that have shaped our understanding of it throughout the ages. Uncover the timeless truth of God's inspired and authoritative Word and gain lasting friendships in this intimate group of intellectual adventurers. You will get the chance to travel the country to thought-shaping conferences. You will delve beyond the surface to the meat of theology and the understanding of truth. Moreover, you will get a chance to branch out on your own through a guided independent study with a closing presentation to your fellow students. Challenge yourself with curiosity and honor the Word with your diligence. Become an Honors Student today. Are you a working adult? A student across the country? A minister looking to gain further education without leaving the ministry? By joining our online community, you will receive relevant biblical higher education with our first-class professors through our convenient, flexible online option. Scholarships were provided by the generosity of individuals who support Central to develop servant-leaders for the church. All recipients of the scholarship must demonstrate Christian character, growth, and leadership abilities. Recipients must be seeking a bachelor's degree from Central. The college campus, on the other hand, has seen many changes over the years. The campus now includes three dormitories, an expanded educational facility, a resource center, a maintenance building, and a student center. It was initially located in a small building east of downtown Moberly. In 1968 Central moved to its present campus in southeastern Moberly. At that time, the facilities included a main educational facility, a men's dormitory, and a women's dormitory. In order to keep up with growing demands, several buildings have been added since that time. Central Christian College of the Bible was founded in February of 1957, when the board of directors, led by chairman O. S. Lincoln, unanimously declared and affirmed that "the purpose of the school is to recruit and train leadership for the church at large according to the New Testament teaching." Central remains exclusively committed to pursuing this purpose. Through the years, growth has come in facilities, resources, and alumni. Graduates of Central Christian College of the Bible are serving across the nation and around the world. Central's impact has become not merely regional but global. With the worldwide placement of Central's graduates, alumni serve the Lord's kingdom in the "uttermost parts of the earth." Several dedicated presidents have led the College in its history. - Northpoint (formerly Zion Bible College) is a Bible College in New England, and we exist for one reason: to teach and train students in excellent pentecostal ministry. We were founded in 1924 as a faith school, and our history is rich with stories of the miraculous hand of God. At Northpoint, we offer a variety of programs and degrees. For undergrads, we offer a BA in Bible and Theology, along with a series of practical secondary majors. We also offer a one-year certificate and an Associate of Arts degree in Bible and Theology. For graduates, we offer a MA in Practical Theology. Our One-Year Certificate program is primarily for those who desire personal enrichment in Bible, Theology, and Christian Service. The curriculum is arranged to expand an individual's knowledge of the Bible, deepen his or her theological framework, and broaden his or her practical skills for the local church. The purpose of the Associate in Arts degree program is to provide the student with a necessary foundation in the humanities and Bible and Theology and ministry training, thus preparing the student to serve as a lay or licensed certified minister. The graduate program is devoted to the centrality of Scripture, the Lordship of Jesus Christ, and a Pentecostal viewpoint in theology, ministry, and life. Pastoral Leadership, Church Planting & Revitalization, Preaching, and Spiritual Formation are critical aspects of the program. Positive and encouraging interaction among peers and mentors creates an environment conducive to transformation, thus enabling the leaders to engage in effective Pentecostal ministry. One of the highlights of life at Northpoint is the Chapel Service. From Monday through Thursday, students, staff, faculty, and administration join together to seek God, to praise the Lord Jesus Christ, and to experience the ever-present power of the Holy Spirit. Christian leaders from various areas of the world, plus our president, and the faculty, participate in these services by bringing forth the Word of God in such a way as to challenge and encourage our students to become the leaders of tomorrow. The variety of ministries presented provides our students with a broad exposure to the heartbeat of ministry taking place around the world. During these extraordinary times, the Holy Spirit moves upon students in a gentle, yet most powerful way, molding lives and preparing them for the ministry and the challenges of the Kingdom. The robust environment promotes an atmosphere of holiness, reverence, and awe. During Senior Chapels, senior students are allowed to minister the Word. We encourage our students to become involved in practical ministry teams available to minister at churches, camps, rallies, youth groups, and evangelistic outreaches through worship, special music, and drama throughout the school year and summer months. This enables them to acquire a form of unique ministry experience to carry with them out into their careers. Northpoint Bible College is located in Haverhill's diverse city in northeastern Massachusetts, right on the expansive Merrimack River. It is one of the oldest communities in the state and sits only 20 miles from the ocean. Tax-free shopping is available in nearby New Hampshire, which borders the city. Computer technology and research industries thrive in Haverhill's business districts. Recreational activities are plenteous, including four 18-hole golf courses, a downhill ski area, two horseback riding academies, a public skating rink, and a sailing program. Residents also enjoy walking, jogging, and bird watching (there is a growing population of bald eagles taking up residence in Haverhill) along the Merrimack River. Boating on the river is also a popular local pastime. Train service is available from downtown Haverhill to the city of Boston. Just 45 minutes away, Boston affords Northpoint students abundant cultural and educational resources, and three professional sports teams–with the fourth team only forty-five minutes further out, add. The current Northpoint Bible College campus, located in the Bradford area of Haverhill, Massachusetts, was originally a private, non-profit, co-educational high school, opened in 1803. In 1836, it became Bradford College, a school for young women. In 1932, the College became established as a junior college. In 1971 Bradford became a four-year, co-educational, liberal arts college. After nearly 200 years, Bradford College closed in 2000, and in 2008 the campus was purchased for Northpoint Bible College, providing Northpoint with ample educational, administrative and residential space. The campus is comprised of nine buildings spread over a twenty-five-acre property, totaling approximately 297,000 square feet. In 1924 Northpoint Bible College (formerly Zion Bible College) was founded by Rev. Christine Gibson to prepare men and women for Pentecostal ministry. The school started in East Providence, Rhode Island, and 1985 relocated to Barrington, Rhode Island. In 2008, the College was miraculously blessed with its current beautiful and historic 18-acre residential campus, located in Haverhill, Massachusetts. There are now thousands of Northpoint alumni serving all over the world in various fields of ministry. For over 90 years, Northpoint Bible College has continued to stand by this vision: teach and train students for excellent Pentecostal ministry. View full university
