We see the need to provide for a greater diversity of learning styles and capacities within our school and provide three courses of study for students to study languages, math, and science. The honors program presents honor courses in math, science, and literature offered at a more demanding pace and a higher standard. The accelerated science program, allows students to take two science courses each year culminating in Advanced Placement classes in Biology, Environmental Science, Chemistry, and Physics. The teachers at GCA are trustworthy. When they look at each student, they see someone who was created by God someone God loves. The teachers at GCA are caring, educational facilitators who strive to find the best methods of bringing academic success to your son and daughter. The students at GCA are trustworthy. As we seek to build the character of each student, we hope to encourage observation skills and a discerning eye. It’s part of life to seek friendship. As students interact with the students around them, they must learn to be trustworthy friends and develop within themselves those character qualities they seek in others. The administration and staff at GCA are trustworthy. As a small school, we have the advantage of familiarity. It’s a privilege to testify to the integrity of the secretaries, the chefs, the bus drivers, and the administrators because we have known them for so many years and seen their attitudes and behavior through joy and challenges. We are excited about trusting God this year. It will be a year of learning about the character of God, creating relationships of trust based upon observable integrity, and building our skills through the many facets of education we have grown to appreciate at GCA.

Grace International School strives to ensure that the children feel free to explore and develop a love for learning and feel as comfortable as home. Our program is geared to illuminate young minds and to arouse their curiosity which fosters a desire to participate wholly in all aspects of the curriculum. 3. Grace Christian University seeks to develop passionate servants of Jesus Christ by personally educating students in an educational program that emphasizes integrating biblical truth, ministry experience, and character transformation. This emphasis pervades the entire campus as the College strives to cultivate a caring learning community where Jesus Christ is exalted, and students are equipped for serving the needs of church and society. Our vision is to be a vibrant University exalting Jesus Christ, preparing culturally intelligent students for diverse careers in the global marketplace. Graduating Godly Individuals Prepared to Serve Christ in Church and Society. Grace is the most affordable private University in West Michigan and was recognized as the fastest-growing Bible University in 2016 by the ABHE. We are excited about you joining us. We exist to give you a place to BELONG, BELOVED, and BE PURPOSEFUL. Grace Christian University serves the evolving needs of church and society by offering a variety of degrees. Our education is powerful, personal, and relevant to the 21st century's needs while also reflecting the timeless truths of Scripture. Regardless of which degree a student pursues, a biblical focus is integrated into every course. Grace faculty members are role models who engage students' minds and hearts as they prepare to pursue their calling. The Grace Christian University faculty, staff, and students are committed to being a growing community. By that, we mean that each of us, starting with the President, realizes that we are still in process. We are not all that God designed and purposed us to be, nor are we content with that condition. Through competent instructors committed to academic excellence, and staff and administration committed to serving and growing, we believe Grace Christian University can be used by God to change your life. The day's prevalent mentality is intent on tolerance and policing certain words and activities deemed inappropriate or incorrect according to their own vacillating set of values. Grace Christian University believes that the Word of God's eternal truths and values rightly divided are principles that pervade all areas of life and education. The Apostle Paul states, For in Him all things were created both in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him, all things hold together…so that He might come to have first place in everything. Grace Christian University is committed to preparing the leaders of tomorrow to be all that God wants them to be, educationally, socially, physically, and spiritually. If that is your heart's desire—Grace is the place for you. Grace began in 1939. It was founded as Milwaukee Bible Institute, a training center for laypeople and Sunday school teachers of Milwaukee. Reverend Charles F. Baker organized the Institute, then pastor of Fundamental Bible Church. The regular day school program began in 1945. This move was stimulated by a group of evangelical pastors, mostly concerned about advancing a dispensational theology approach to the Bible, the distinctive character of the revelation given to the apostle Paul, and the preparation of full-time Christian workers to fulfill this goal. In 1953, the curriculum was broadened, and Milwaukee Bible Institute became Milwaukee Bible College. In 2010, Grace began a non-traditional education program offering working adults an opportunity to study one night a week or exclusively online and earn an Associate or Bachelor's Degree. The Beyond the Bricks Capital Campaign was a revitalization of the campus, which added a new student commons and upgraded exterior parking, walkways, and landscaping. God blessed the College's student enrollment efforts as it doubled the traditional student count by 2015, and even more non-traditional students enrolled. This growth helped Grace grow its program in both size and quality of academic and student services. Most faculty hold doctoral degrees. Over the years, Grace has formed consortiums with two local colleges: Davenport and Cornerstone Universities, which allow students to graduate with dual degrees in Business and Education and a few other degrees offered by Cornerstone. Dr. Samuel R. Vinton was Grace's third President from 1985-1989. Under President Vinton's initial regional accreditation was granted to the University by the North Central Association (now the Higher Learning Commission) with Dr. Marlin Olson and others' hard work. In January 2016, after accreditation approval by the HLC, the College began its graduate program with the first degree – a Masters in Ministry, recently adding another graduate degree in organizational leadership. These classes are formatted for graduates already serving and are therefore entirely online. In 2017, the Board of Directors of the College unanimously voted to change the name of the College to Grace Christian University. This change officially took place on July 1, 2018. Grace Christian University reflects the institution's study programs' expansion and excellence while also showing the commitment to our valuable past. Bible remains a core value and a significant portion of all degree programs. The vocational ministry also continues to be an institutional priority as well. Praise God; there are hundreds/thousands of Grace alumni serving the Lord with significant impact in various vocational settings around the world today.

    Grace College

Grace College is an evangelical Christian community of higher education that applies biblical values to strengthen character, sharpening competence, and prepare for service. Grace Theological Seminary is a learning community dedicated to teaching, training, and transforming the whole person for the local church and global ministry. Grace will be an exemplary, Christ-centered educational community characterized by innovation, affordability, and real-world preparation. At the heart of a Grace, College education is academically challenging courses specifically designed to foster a thirst for the character, competence, and service within our students' hearts and minds. Every residential student at Grace completes a series of general education courses (we call it the Grace Core) and thus enjoys a shared experience that stretches across all disciplines. Explicitly taught from a liberal arts approach, these courses are driven by the college's mission and evangelical heritage and have been created around four key human relationships: with God, with others, with self, and with the world, which includes both culture and the environment. We believe that worshiping God, growing as individuals, relating with others, and serving in our world are the keys to unlocking an academic experience that strengthens character, sharpens competence, and prepares for service. We also believe an education that emphasizes the integration of faith and learning lays the foundation for and is in perfect concert with our mission. At Grace, we are committed to a life of worship and spiritual growth and actively look for thoughtful and practical ways the Christian faith intersects with the disciplines we teach in the classroom. The integration of faith and learning is based on the shared understanding that the extent to which we do our work consciously as Christians makes our professional lives an offering of worship to God. Our faith gives greater significance to the questions we struggle with within our work and our lives. In other words, we are whole individuals and recognize the deficiency of a compartmentalized life. Based on this foundation, our faith informs our work and makes it distinctive. Grace College and Grace Theological Seminary both have a rich history as partners in higher education. Since its founding, Grace Theological Seminary has become a prominent center for masters and doctoral study in evangelical ministry and theology for students worldwide. Likewise, Grace College, a Christian college of liberal and applied arts and sciences, has grown to its current academic prominence position, offering more than 70 fields of study in the arts and sciences, behavioral sciences, business, education, and ministry studies. Over the years, thousands of Grace Theological Seminary graduates and Grace College graduates have gone out to serve in various ministries and industries in the United States and throughout the world. Grace College & Seminary has been instrumental in helping thousands of students from a Christian worldview within a challenging and vibrant academic environment, preparing students for successful careers, family life, and leadership in local churches. Our heritage recognizes that spiritual development and academic excellence go hand in hand. For both undergraduate and graduate students, the Grace faculty and staff, the Grace curriculum's design and content, and the entire Grace campus community contribute to an atmosphere where spiritual growth and scholarly inquiry are mutually enhancing. If you are looking for a convenient way to continue your higher education with a biblical foundation, the online degree options available through Grace College may be a viable option for you. Suppose you would like a preliminary "unofficial" evaluation of what credits will transfer to Grace. In that case, you may email a copy of your transcript or class list to Admissions, and we will provide you with an initial analysis. Once you have applied and been accepted to Grace, we will send you a copy of your official credit evaluation. Students from other countries seeking to complete a bachelor's degree or have already completed a bachelor's degree or its equivalent with a high academic standing are encouraged to apply to Grace College. Because of academic differences on International transcripts, students with international degrees must have their official transcripts reviewed and translated by one of the following companies, and then have the translated transcript sent to us before the applicant can be reviewed for admission. At Grace, we provide a comprehensive program to assist first-year students in their adjustment to college life. We hope that Grace will become a fast second home for you and that you'll feel supported as you discover and pursue God's calling for your life. The first-year program's central components are Welcome Weekend (orientation) and Freshman Foundations (FYE 1010). Throughout orientation and the course, first-year students meet in breakout groups of 15 to 20 students led by a Faculty Mentor and a Student Mentor (an upper-class student). These groups are designed to give first-year students the kind of support needed to adapt to college life. In order to be prepared for the Freshman Foundations course before orientation, read the Summer Reading Book. Also vital to the first-year experience is a community of believers coming together through growth groups, the academic experience shown through the Grace Core, and the extracurricular opportunities to be involved through various clubs and campus involvement.

Grace University exists to develop servant leaders for the home, the church, and the world through excellence in biblically-integrated education and life change in a unique, disciplined environment, all for the glory of God. Grace University exists to develop servant leaders for the home, the church, and the world through excellence in biblically-integrated education and life change in a unique, disciplined environment, all for the glory of God. Grace University was born in prayer as a group of ten pastors and leaders met in Omaha, Nebraska, on June 1, 1943, to pray and plan for a college-level institution that would be fundamental in doctrine, vitally spiritual in emphasis, and interdenominational in scope. The need for such Bible-centered education became increasingly apparent to these evangelical pastors and leaders. A number of them shared this common concern during the commencement activities at the Oklahoma Bible Academy in Meno, Oklahoma, in 1942. So in the providence of God, they selected Omaha as a central location for the meeting that led to the founding of Grace Bible Institute. From June 1 through September 8, 1943, the Lord opened doors and removed obstacles in such unusual ways that all were convinced that this new venture of faith was from God. At the dedicatory service on September 8, 1943, Dr. C.H. Suckau, chairman of the Board of Directors and later a president of the college, mentioned seven specific answers to prayer. The core values of academic excellence, life change, and world impact continue to shape Grace's vision. These foundational values stimulate the Power of Grace! During the past 75 years, more than 8,000 students have studied at Grace University. Many of our alumni are actively involved in full-time church-related ministries. Many are serving in cross-cultural and international missions, in pastoral ministry, in Christian education, music, and Christian radio and telecommunications. Others impact the marketplace for Christ serving as lay leaders in local churches and church-related organizations. Many are educators, business people, farmers and ranchers, and public servants in governmental settings. The oversight of Grace University is vested in a healthy, spiritually-minded Board of Trustees, representing various denominations. A variety of advisory teams assist in guiding various operations within the University. The Grace University Foundation Board of Trustees works closely with the University Development Department in friend building, fundraising, and investment management. The Grace University Parents Association (GUPA) works with the President's Office regarding institutional and student support. The Alumni Association, a vital advisory group, connects our strong heritage with our ongoing mission of preparing men and women as servant leaders for the home, the church, and the world. Throughout its history, Grace University leadership has been marked by vision and faith. The following have served as presidents: Paul Kuhlmann (Acting, 1943), Dr. C.H. Suckau (1944-1950), Dr. H.D. Burkholder (1950-1955), Dr. Joseph W. Schmidt (1955-1960), the Rev. D.J. Unruh (Interim, 1960-1961), Dr. Waldo E. Harder (1961-1971), Dr. Robert W. Benton (1971-1984), Dr. Warren E. Bathke (1984-1993), Dr. Neal F. McBride (1993-1997), Dr. James P. Eckman (1997-2012), and Dr. David M. Barnes (2012-2016), Mr. Bill Bauhard (Interim, 2016-present). Three core values shape the goals and objectives of Grace University – academic excellence, life change, and world impact. Recognizing that Christian education leads to the "Student Characteristics" above is a process rooted in the Bible and directed by the Holy Spirit, the University establishes the following goals and objectives. By graduation, students should give evidence of: Comprehensive working knowledge of the Bible, including Bible doctrine Growing love for Christ and His people Being a world Christian with a growing awareness of and involvement in God's worldwide program of redemption A Christian worldview that integrates General Education studies with biblical truth An ability to serve Christ effectively. A Christian value-system that is reflected in Christian character, attitudes, decisions, and actions An ability to function at a level of competency within their chosen area of study at their level of preparation (i.e., Certificate, Associate's, Bachelor's, or Master level) A commitment to a lifestyle of lifelong spiritual, intellectual, emotional, relational, and physical health.

The counselors at the Student Counseling Center are here to help students take the next steps forward. Grace Christian University's Online degrees offer associates, bachelor's, and master's degrees in a 100% online format designed for busy adults. Our passionate instructors will guide you through your degree to develop practical skills that will impact your career and faith and prepare you for the global marketplace. We have designed our Online and Graduate programs to benefit students in three primary ways lower cost, smaller class sizes, and a Christ-centered focus. We realize many people are interested in pursuing their calling and need to be preparing for that particular career, yet are held back by the need to balance family, career, finances, and faith. You will find that Grace has created a dynamic and fully accredited Online and Graduate program to fit people's busy lives. Our goal is to refine, enhance, and strengthen your ministry through biblical, practical, and relevant courses. We have created a stimulating campus and online environment where instructors are readily available to assist students, and cohort groups are formed to provide peer perspective and discussion. By blending active learning and theory, students are pushed beyond the self-study model to engaging real-life situations and real-life feedback. Scholarships and grants are the most desirable types of funding to receive since they do not need to be repaid. Scholarships are awarded by the College and other outside sources, while grants come from Federal and State sources. A recipient of a Grace Christian University institutional scholarship must be enrolled full-time on Grace's campus. Scholarship amounts are divided equally into two semesters, fall and spring. Dual students enrolled with Grace and another institution may have some scholarships prorated.fully accredited Online and Graduate program to fit people's busy lives. 8. View full university
  11. Families that send their children to Grace Church School value the school both for the adequate academic preparation it affords and the unique climate of social diversity, acceptance, and understanding it fosters among all school community members. Community values, service, and ethics are part of the study and woven into daily experience. The school's unique traits are evident in every classroom or activity: pleasure in learning, the seriousness of purpose, and genuine affection and respect for others. In the earliest grades, students take part in a full range of programs, including music, art, computer, laboratory science, instruction in French, Spanish and Latin, physical education, dance, and drama, in addition to the traditional curriculum. Older students have a wider choice of languages, athletics, and team sports as well as opportunities for international exchange, in-depth independent study projects, and the option to delve deeply into their intellectual passions by taking courses at nearby NYU and Cooper Union. Community values, service, character education, and ethics are part of the study and woven into daily experience. Because a website can't convey the spirit that makes Grace Church School what it is or the warmth of feeling that keeps us together, we invite you to visit Grace. Consider how our approach matches what you want for your child. Typical values are the core of family-school relationships. They make our GCS community a thriving, energetic, caring place where committed teachers and eager students are absorbed in the exciting process of learning and growing. Grace Church School aims to establish in its students firmly rooted confidence in themselves and their abilities. Because we believe that school experience sets the foundation for lifelong intellectual and social growth, we strive to develop in each student mental keenness, physical confidence, pleasure in learning, and the skills necessary to understand oneself and the world. Our structured curriculum, enriched with broad opportunities for creative expression, assumes as fundamental the mastery of a specific range of academic skills, especially the ability to express one's ideas and appraise others' ideas. Yet the educational goals of the school are broader than intellectual and social development. We nurture our students a steady, affectionate trust in themselves and their world, made resilient by interacting with different ethnic, religious, and socioeconomic influences. We strive to help each student develop an active ethical consciousness, supported by close acquaintance with Judeo-Christian beliefs and enhanced by the beauty and faith inherent in Grace Church. Since its founding, Grace Church School has integrated ethical consciousness and academic excellence by addressing students' moral, personal, and spiritual development as naturally as we promote their intellectual and cognitive growth. We believe that leadership, critical thinking, and creativity develop best in tandem with integrity, compassion, and care for others. We are an intentionally inclusive community where reverence for each individual's dignity informs all aspects of school life. The Episcopal school tradition recognizes each human being's unique, intrinsic worth, bestowed upon each by a loving God. In this spirit, we welcome, openly and with warmth, families of all faiths and no faith at all. We seek a rich diversity of students, families, faculty, and staff and strive to instill in our students a deep respect for differences in race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, socioeconomic status, ethnicity, and culture. We expect that Grace Church School students will live these ideals, honoring our shared humanity with kindness, respect, and love. Grace has a long tradition of high academic expectations, which prepare students to excel in future academic pursuits. The curriculum is designed around a "three-legged stool." Each leg works with the others to build a foundation for the curricular and pedagogical decisions that define a Grace education. The first leg of the stool is that the school seeks traditional outcomes. We believe there are things you need to know and things you need to know how to do. As students progress through the school, they take classes in traditional academic areas: English, mathematics, history/social studies, science, foreign languages including Latin, philosophy and ethics, technology, physical education, and the performing and visual arts. The final leg of the stool is a pedagogy of joy. Students who have a positive self-concept are going to be more effective and happier. Students who feel connected – to other students, teachers, coaches, and parents – feel safe, which provides an essential ingredient for student success. Students need to have a sense of fulfillment, in that what they do is meaningful to them and others. When these three things happen for students, they are joyful learners. 12. Welcome to our school. The life of our happy and successful school, which has been serving the Catholic community in Dollis Hill for 50 years. We believe that the years spent in Primary School are amongst the most important in every child’s education. Therefore, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Junior School, we aim to provide the best possible opportunities and environment for your child to reach his or her potential in all aspects of school life (spiritual, moral, academic, and social). We aim to provide enjoyment and challenge for all learners, across all curriculum areas, and ask the pupils and parents to embrace these challenges and see them as a genuine chance to progress. We aim to provide a happy, caring, secure, and stimulating environment in which all the children will feel confident about themselves and the world about them and grow in faith and understanding. We provide opportunities for parental involvement in the life of the school to encourage real collaboration and cooperation between the Parish, Governors, teachers, parents, and children. We believe this to be encapsulated in our Mission Statement below. At Our Lady of Grace, we expect high standards of conduct from all members of our school community and place considerable emphasis on treating each other with kindness and respect. We have an experienced, well-qualified, committed, and talented teaching staff that allows us to be confident that we can fulfill our promises to our parents and we are well-resourced in terms of books, equipment, and ICT resources. At Our Lady of Grace School, we are committed to helping children learn in many different ways. In addition to classroom-based learning, all year groups have the opportunity to extend their learning during educational visits throughout the year. Some recent examples are visits to Handel House by current year six children to work with musicians and other schools on baroque music, our school choir visited and performed at Wembley in the Brent Music Choir competition and year three visit the London Zoo with great excitement to support their learning about animals. Some children were offered the opportunity to visit Westminster Cathedral for a special Advent Service. We also have very close links with local secondary schools and some of the Year 6 children have recently visited St Gregory's for both Science and Maths lessons. Other opportunities for learning in the community include visits to the Welsh Harp Educational Centre. Throughout the year there are a large number of occasions when individuals or companies are invited into the school for workshops, assemblies, or themed days to further the children's learning. Recent examples include a Tudor day, a Victorian day, a workshop about safety for Years 3 and 4, and a visit from St Josephs Pastoral Centre to coincide with our 'Disability Awareness Week'. Our school should provide a caring, positive, safe, and stimulating environment that promotes the social, physical, and moral development of the individual child. We make every effort to provide a safe and welcoming environment where children are respected and valued and where there is a culture of openness where both children and adults feel able to talk and be listened to. We are alert to the signs of abuse and neglect and follow our procedures to ensure that children receive effective support and protection. At all times, the welfare of the child is paramount. Whilst the school will work openly with parents, as far as possible. Our Lady of Grace Catholic Junior School is a fully inclusive school that ensures that all pupils achieve their personal, social, emotional, and academic potential in all areas of the curriculum (regardless of their gender, ethnicity, social background, religion, sexual identity, physical ability or educational needs). All pupils at the school are valued and we work hard to ensure that their confidence and belief in themselves is developed through different aspects of school life. Our Lady of Grace Catholic Junior School will address the needs of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Disabilities. It has been written to help parents/carers understand how we will support all our children, including those with SEN and disabilities, to make the best possible progress in school. The information report is updated annually. Our Lady of Grace Day is a very special occasion which is celebrated at the school every year. It is a fantastic opportunity for the Junior and Infant school to come together for a time of reflection and spirituality. The children enjoy the shared lunch and art activities that take place during the day. This year was particularly special as we are also celebrating the school's 50th Anniversary. View full school
