Notre Dame University-Louaize (NDU) is a private, Lebanese non-profit Catholic institution of higher education, which adopts the American education system. The university's religious affiliation does not impose any sectarian obligations on faculty members, staff, or students. The cultural and spiritual heritage of the Maronite Order of the Blessed Virgin Mary highlights a belief in a unified Lebanon, a belief in education as a means of protection against fanaticism and corruption, and a dedication to freedom of thought and expression.
