Enriching activities, camps, creative engagement, choirs, international culture and beliefs, language experiences, and excursions are integrated into the core program to allow students to explore their fuller interests and skills. Japanese is the LOTE taught at Yarranlea Primary School. All year levels will participate in Japanese studies. Our LOTE teacher is Mrs. Marilyn Potter. Yarranlea Primary School promotes positive curriculum initiatives, and partnerships with the Faculty of Education at Griffith University and joint projects with Faculty staff and students (preservice teachers) may be incorporated into the school curriculum program. Preservice teachers may also be invited to participate in seminars and workshops held from time to time.

For over 110 years, our school has provided quality Christian education to the local community. We are excited to be expanding into a full Prep-Year 12 beginning in 2016 with a Year 7 class. Vistara Primary School was established in 1987. It is a non-profit, Independent School. Vistara is registered with the Board of Studies. Our school provides stimulating learning and play environment. The grounds are terraced and consist of a large shaded sandpit, quiet play/reading area, a paved area, a fenced handball court, a playing field, and an adventure playground. Vistara Primary School is located on seven acres of rolling countryside at Richmond Hill, 7km from Lismore. It encompasses newly planted remnant rainforest trees, established rainforest, native birds and animals, terraced herb gardens, flower, fruit, native bush food trees, and Koala habitat area. Our school buildings consist of air-conditioned classrooms. The Lower Primary classroom has two learning areas. The building has two verandahs; one is used for outdoor art and crafts; the other is used for free play, story time, construction building, and group activities. A covered walkway connects to the middle and upper primary tree-top classrooms. The building's design incorporates an octagon-shaped hall, and a get an OK room, pupil amenities, and a comfortable access bathroom. It is one of more than 80 primary and secondary schools operated by the Lutheran Church of Australia. The school is owned and operated by the Outer Eastern Lutheran Church. St Peters Lutheran School has been providing a Christian education for children from Dimboola and surrounding districts since 1958. Our school is unique as it is a small school with small classes and a low teacher to pupil ratio. This creates a sense that the school is a family with a personal and caring approach. We are well equipped with updated resources, including computers and interactive whiteboards in each class. St Peters offers a safe Christian environment that endeavors to provide a diverse learning environment that nurtures mutual respect, love, and care. Over recent years we have upgraded a range of facilities, with the most notable being a new synthetic playground surface and basketball court, new computers, and iPads for students to use in class. At St. Peters Lutheran Primary School, we have a rigorous and challenging curriculum. For many years St. Peter's congregation was very conscious of its responsibility for Christian education and had already organized a Saturday School to overcome the limitations of a Sunday school. Progressively, this forward-looking congregation realized the Saturday school's limitation, so the next step a Christian day school. Ownership and ultimate responsibility for St. Peter's Lutheran School rest with St. Peter's congregation, which regularly appoints a School Council to discharge the responsibility of overall care of the school. Day to day internal running of the school is undertaken by the appointed Principal. St. Peter's Congregation has generously supported the school financially since its inception in 1958. St. Peter's Lutheran School was opened in 1958. A year earlier, the St. Peters Lutheran Congregation had set to establish a Christian day school on a Mallee block just east of the Churchyard. Initially, classes were held in the hall until a portable two-classroom school was built and delivered by Stawell Timber Industries of Lake Road Stawell.

The St Paul's Lutheran congregation here in Caboolture had the ambition to build a school that would serve their children's needs and provides an excellent Christian education for others in the community. In 1980 the church purchased the land the school now occupies. The school opened its doors for the first time some five years later. Over the following years, the school has slowly expanded to its current size with two classes for each grade level from Year 1 to 6 and a triple stream at Prep. The school commenced in 1985 with just three classes. These were pioneering days. Parents, children, and staff joined together with a will. Difficulties and shortages were overcome with inventiveness and energy. The school became involved with various local activities and soon became well known within the town and surrounding districts. St John's Lutheran Primary School is a Prep to Year 6 co-educational day school located in central Bundaberg. The first thoughts of a Lutheran Primary School begun with a conversation between Merv Harch and Pastor L Otto in approximately 1967 when they were clearing the allotment after moving Trinity Church from Kroombit Street in Biloela to Theodore. It was suggested that a Kindergarten be started with the allotment vacant, but this idea was rejected because the Government was taking Kindergartens over. It was then that the Primary School was suggested. The idea of a Lutheran Primary School in Biloela was openly discussed for a long time. Merv Harch recalled, “It was hard to get the congregation interested as a whole, and it was not until Bob Maczkowiack, and his wife Anne came to join the congregation that things started to go ahead. They were both very interested and sought information wherever possible, including going south to various schools to get firsthand information.”

Your child can start Kindergarten at the beginning of the school year if they turn five on or before 31 July in that year. By law, all children must be enrolled in school by their sixth birthday. Because students start new work in their new class at the beginning of the school year, it would be advantageous for your child both socially and educationally to start school as soon as possible in the new year. You must tell the principal if your child has any particular circumstances, allergies, health, or medical conditions before starting school. After your appointment with us, you will be asked to complete an enrolment form and return it to us. We will notify you of the result of your application. Primary learning includes whole-class, group, and individual activities designed to develop an inquiring mind and teach the necessary learning skills needed for schooling and later life. Literacy and numeracy are the building blocks of learning, and that is why English and mathematics take up half of students' learning time in primary school. Our teachers use a variety of strategies to assess each student's work. This includes observing their work in class and looking closely at work they produce throughout the year. Twice a year, teachers also assess each primary school student's achievements based on the NSW primary curriculum foundation statements' outcomes. A written report using the grade scale is sent home, usually near the end of Term 2 and Term 4, to give you a clear picture of your child's achievements. Students have several assessments in primary school: Off To A Good Start Kindergarten assessments in literacy and numeracy - helps our teachers identify your child's learning needs. National Assessment Program Literacy and Numeracy(NAPLAN) - assesses students' skills in numeracy, reading, writing, spelling, punctuation, and grammar. All students in Years 3 and 5 sit for four tests in May. NAPLAN results help teachers meet the individual literacy and numeracy needs of students. You will receive a detailed written report of your child's achievement in the tests. We are committed to closing the achievement gap for Aboriginal students. We know that we need to learn about, nurture, and value our Aboriginal students' cultural identity to assist them in being successful learners. Our school has been expressly set up to cater to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in a culturally safe environment. Family members, parents, and community members are invited to visit our school to get to know each other, learn about the local Aboriginal community, and develop shared goals and plans for Aboriginal students. We encourage Aboriginal students to negotiate and develop strategies by providing unique leadership opportunities through the Grip Leadership Conference.

Lutheran School Wagga Wagga is a co-educational Kindergarten to Year 6 Primary School with around 355 students. Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Wagga Wagga established our school in 1982. It has grown to become highly respected, and we continue to build our capacity to offer the highest standard of education in a Christ-centered environment. The school was officially opened on Wednesday, 3 February 1982, with Mr. Steve Rudolph (Principal) and Mrs. Ingrid Clift as the first teachers serving the school. For the first two years, the school operated in the Lutheran church hall in Athol Street, Turvey Park. In November 1983, construction of stage 1 buildings began on a parcel of farmland purchased on Red Hill Road southeast of Wagga Wagga. These buildings were completed in June 1984 and included four classrooms, a library, and a staff/office area.

Before this, many hours of work had gone into planning by members of the Lutheran congregations at Petrie and Sandgate. Both congregations sold their properties to purchase eight hectares of land at Murrumba Downs with the express purpose of establishing a Lutheran school. The Hurstbridge Learning Co-operative is a parent-run, alternative primary school situated in beautiful bushland close to the township of Hurstbridge, Victoria. Our sister schools are St Francis of Assisi, located in Calwell, and St Clare of Assisi, Conder. St Mary MacKillop College (Years 7-12) in Waniassa and Isabella Plains enables parents a Catholic high school education for their children. The Parish of Corpus Christi was formed in 2005 when the parishes of Holy Family Gowrie and St Francis of Assisi Calwell were amalgamated. Students also live in Jerrabomberra NSW and the rural estate of Burra and Googong. The school has a multicultural population of approximately 660 students (K - Yr 6) and 90 pre-school students. The Presentation Sisters from Wagga Wagga established the school under the dedicated leadership of Sister Audrey Pilgrim. Holy Family quickly fostered a sense of strong community with close relationships developed between parish and school; the school motto, 'Open the Doors to the Redeemer,' epitomizes the ideals of the school and parish communities, and their approach towards making Jesus Christ accessible and relevant to the students who attend the school. While a German school had been operating in the area since the early 1900s, the Bethania Lutheran School was opened in January 1976 with one teacher and eighteen pupils in Years 1 to 3. The school was officially opened in the church hall with the first teacher installed, Mrs. Betty Schultz. Conditions in the early history of the school were severe. By 1977 the school was still operating in the church hall with 45 students and two teachers. The first building erected on the school property, teacher accommodation, was opened in October 1977. In May 1978, the first school building was dedicated and opened, and the second school building opened in February 1979. By this time, the pupils numbered 85. The school blossomed over the years and now has over 12 buildings and 200 students in a leafy and tranquil setting. While there is a significant focus on teaching and learning, each school strives to offer far more than that.
