College Vision is In Christ, partnering with families in providing excellent academic and practical education, preparing students to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly before God. The Wagga Wagga Christian College is, first and foremost, a Christian community committed to excellence in students' education. We are committed to honoring Christ in all aspects of our school. I am very encouraged by how our staff and Board are dedicated to best practices in our pedagogy (teaching practice), school structures, and relationships. It is our goal to be faithful in the ways that we live out our mission statement. A caring community is providing quality Christ-centred education. We are justifiably proud of the College community. We have a wonderful group of students, staff, parents, and friends. These fine people work together to establish a school setting in which a remarkable, positive attitude to education is achieved and where Christian faith and life are seen as usual. From our governance model to the classroom interactions between teachers, students, and visitors, the partnerships that we forge are vigorous and effective. The Christian Education National (CEN) infrastructure upon which the College is based assures parents of a positive and influential voice in their children's education. The College is diligent in meeting external requirements such as the NSW Education Standards Authority accreditation and registration processes. We employ qualified, caring Christian professionals on our staff. Year after year, we see our students achieving their potential in tertiary education as members of the workforce and contributing to the broader community. We also believe that our success can be seen. We have a vibrant, positive school culture with excellent results attained in a variety of external tests. The achievements of our current and past students are exciting. The structures and facilities that we enjoy and are developing in response to our growing College community's needs are modern and well planned. Christian parents from several churches in Wagga Wagga began working in the late 1980s to develop a school that encourages responsive discipleship of Jesus Christ. We want a community that not only believes in the Bible as God's good news story but also seeks to live out this gospel as recipients of God's grace and obedient servants to our Lord Jesus Christ. Our College is a positive, caring environment that helps individuals achieve their God-given potential by recognizing their unique gifts and abilities. This is to prepare them to achieve the tasks and contribute to their relationships as adults in God's creation. The Kindergarten to Year 12 nature of the College fosters a family environment that develops responsibility and trust between peers and multi-aged young people. We affirm the role of parents in educating their children as a God-given mandate and commit to strong home/student/school partnership, each contributing in its way to an exceptional education. Wagga Christian College began educating Year 7 students on 31 January 1990, after a dedication service held the previous evening. The College opened with 24 students, a full-time teaching Principal (Alan Brown), five part-time teachers, and five volunteer office staff. Lutheran School Wagga Wagga is a co-educational Kindergarten to Year 6 Primary School with around 355 students. Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Wagga Wagga established our school in 1982. It has grown to become highly respected, and we continue to build our capacity to offer the highest standard of education in a Christ-centered environment. We firmly believe that God has created every child with a unique set of gifts and abilities. Our task is to ensure that they can develop as far as possible toward fulfilling their potential during the preceding years. Lutheran School is part of the Australia-wide Lutheran School system, including 56 early learning centers, 40 primary schools, seven secondary schools, and 38 combined primary/secondary schools educating around 40 000 students. We encourage a close relationship and partnership between home and school. Our Mission is to work under God in partnership with parents to provide an inclusive, nurturing, and high-quality education for every student. We hope that every student educated at our school will be: aware of their humanity open to the influence of the Holy Spirit and live according to a cohesive world view. They will live in their community and reflect our core values of love, justice, compassion, forgiveness, service, humility, courage, hope, quality, respect, and appreciation. They will be on the journey to becoming: self-directed, insightful investigators and learners discerning, resourceful problem solvers and implementers adept, creative producers and contributors open, responsive communicators and facilitators principled resilient leaders and collaborators and caring, steadfast supporters, and advocates. We strive to create an educational environment that fully recognizes every person as necessary, unique, and endowed by the creator with their gifts and abilities. Our task is to assist each child in discovering and developing these personal gifts. At the same time, we strive to help them develop the Christian values that will enable the use of those gifts in service to others and for God’s useful purpose. Everyone is God’s creation and equally precious. We live as a community that gathers around God’s Word in worship and study. We experience and demonstrate God’s forgiveness in Christ. We welcome all who come to us. Everyone is accepted, valued, and encouraged. We encourage service to others. Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Wagga Wagga established Lutheran School Wagga Wagga in 1982. The school was officially opened on Wednesday, 3 February 1982, with Mr. Steve Rudolph (Principal) and Mrs. Ingrid Clift as the first teachers serving the school. For the first two years, the school operated in the Lutheran church hall in Athol Street, Turvey Park. In November 1983, construction of stage 1 buildings began on a parcel of farmland purchased on Red Hill Road southeast of Wagga Wagga.
