  5. We strive to create a better future by producing private school graduates who are equipped to fight ignorance through knowledge, core values, and strong personality development. At Albayan, we believe that a private school has a greater responsibility than just imparting knowledge. We are an educational and social institution that promotes stronger communities in Lebanon and globally. We use knowledge as a tool to help kids acquire real-world skills that will help them both in the workplace and everyday life. From helping young children to develop a love for education to helping teens qualify for university education at their school of choice, Albayan Schools is determined to produce an annual crop of productive and successful adults. Watch your children grow and thrive as we challenge and inspire them daily throughout their formative years. Our goal at Albayan Schools is to unlock each child’s potential for greatness and personal growth. We make it our aim to prepare students to both thrive and lead in a global society. To do so, we help children to develop and nurture: Academic excellence. Community responsibility. Confidence. Creativity. Leadership. Passion for learning. Teamwork. At Albayan Schools, we do more than simply impart knowledge. At the core of our education curriculum at the following values which we are sure you will agree are vital for any student to learn. Appreciation. Cooperation. Courage. Determination. Friendship. Honesty. Kindness. Respect. Responsibility. Tolerance. Private educational institutions differ from public schools in that we can integrate our core beliefs into the curriculum and activities we offer to students. Teachers must also be learners – Teachers join workshop programs at different levels to receive up-to-date curriculum requirements and to learn the latest education methods. Students learn best in a fair and equal environment – The efforts, voice, and background of all students who attend Albayan Schools are valued and respected, thereby maximizing education potential. Every student is unique. We strive to assist each student as an individual with his or her needs and skills in mind. From a kindergarten and elementary school to a college preparatory school that helps children develop from the age of 3 through high school graduation – see how Albayan has become the hub of education in Beirut that it is today. Here is a brief timeline of the development of Albayan Schools: 1994 – Founded with kindergarten and elementary school classrooms. 1995 – Intermediate classes begin. Our original building is expanded from 3 to 5 floors to accommodate more students. 2006 – A second building is acquired as a branch under the name Albayan High School. A high academic standard is one of the hallmarks of Albayan Schools. This makes our graduates a welcome commodity at private universities in Lebanon and across the globe. We also believe that difficult economic times should not result in fewer educational opportunities for children, so we strive to remain an affordable private school where children of the elite and those of more modest means can learn and develop together. The first years of preparatory school will influence how your child feels about education for life. As a result, we strive to create a happy, safe, and fun environment for 3 to 5-year-old students. Our approach supports the natural curiosity of children and stimulates their creativity. We also take a personalized approach to education. By keeping classrooms small (approximately 25 students), your child is provided with the benefits of one-on-one education and support. This is just one of the many reasons why a private school gives your child a head start in the future. Additionally, to create the best learning opportunities and experiences, we offer regular class tips that support the unique teaching techniques that are a vital part of our curriculum. Your child’s formative years require experiences that encourage a love of learning. That calls for the safe and loving environment offered at Albayan Schools. Of course, academics are also of the utmost importance during this time, and we deliver by using a unique and successful approach. The elementary school phase includes grades 1-6 and is divided into two cycles. The first cycle is for children ages 6 through 8, and the second cycle is for children ages 9 through 11. This allows us to meet specific goals with students based on their age and ability. Albayan elementary school students are exposed to a rich curriculum that includes field trips to broaden student knowledge as well as an end-of-the-year school play to expose them to the arts. Students in both cycles are taught science, math, and other basics such as Arabic, English, and French (parents choose between English and French as a major language in preschool, and the other is taught as a secondary, so all students receive instruction in three languages total). Students who take French as a major will be prepared to take The Delf Exam at the French embassy during their second cycle. This is an important time in the life of young students. Standardized tests that are required during these years may make a difference in which universities a student will be accepted to later. As a result, Albayan Schools takes these official exams very seriously, and we do our part to provide students with what they need for success. Albayan Schools’ intermediate education program includes grades 7 through 9 and students aged 13 through 15. In the second semester of grade 8, students are taught some grade 9 curriculum to begin preparation for the Brevet exam. The Brevet exam is completed at the end of grade 9, and the student receives a Brevet certificate at this time. Secondary education includes a three years education for students of ages 16-17-18. It’s composed of general education: humanities, economics, life sciences, and general sciences. When students complete three years of education, they take official Lebanese Baccalaureate exams Students who finish examinations successfully obtain the Lebanese Baccalaureate Certificate of Secondary Education. Moreover, students in the second stage are to undergo the SAT to get enrolled at the university. Our students are guaranteed to score high grades as they are fully adapted to the techniques they should be using during this test. Albayan schools work with various prestigious universities in Lebanon to conduct orientations in the school, as well as introducing all majors available in Lebanon this will help students meet with the university up-close and are then able to choose the major they would like to study. Students at Albayan also take part in the annual LAU Model United Nations. Albayan Schools are an official registration center for the IELTS exam. Admission is given to both boys and girls for classes KG, Prep, and Standards I to VI. The infrastructure is ideally located in the heart of Salmiya. A school is a place where the "future" takes its birth. A perfect school is the one which facilitates young minds to imbibe not only knowledge but also the courage, and wisdom to face the world with confidence. The present education system is hardly adequate to equip the students to face the challenges of a fast-changing modern world is an undeniable fact. ICSK Junior Branch is convinced that radical changes have to be effected in the teaching methodology and course content so that the system of education is not merely information based but value-oriented, formulated to bring about transformation and maturity in the personality of the students. Education is imparted to children not just through books but through a multi-sensory approach, based on life experiences and the play way methods. Our belief is to make the school an extension of the home. For best outcomes, there must be concordance between the impressions which a child gathers at home and school. The school rejuvenates the existing education system intermittently. The school, recognized by the Ministry of Education, State of Kuwait and affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi, is one of the premier educational institutions in the Gulf. The school has attained unparalleled status and stability in Kuwait city with its campus. It is gratifying to note that the school stands as a symbol of excellence, fulfilling the dreams of its founding fathers. The school's Faculty Improvement Programs enable teachers to keep themselves abreast of the new developments in educational technology. Children joining the school come with a wealth of knowledge and understanding about the world around them. We aim to develop these skills and promote willingness and enthusiasm to learn more. We believe in offering all our pupils the highest quality education in a safe and secure environment. Our focus is to promote pupils' confidence, self-esteem and self will. We endeavor towards responsible, responsive, and accountable children. Quarterly e-magazine PETALS is a new venture in 2014, honing the creative talents of students and covering annual activities in the branch both in-house and inter-school competitions. We believe in a sound mind and healthy body, hence we stress multifarious productive child-centered activities. We design our course study to help children strive towards the Development of personality through public speaking. Promote a sense of belonging and collectiveness. The belief that every child is born to learn. Cater to a free and fearless learning environment for all. Involving children in making classroom rules and consequences that are easy to comprehend for all. The staff is endowed with the winning combination of experience and youth. The primary focus of the branch is to lay a strong, steady foundation in their formative years ready to face challenges in life with maturity. Other activities like orientation program for newly inducted students, art and craft exhibitions, special days, Parents' day, Annual Athletic Meet, Graduation day for Kindergarten section, Field trips, annual picnics, morning assemblies on special occasions, and National festivals are a few to mention. 10. For 125 years, UTMB has stood with Texas—training the health care workforce, helping make the state a leader in advancing the understanding and treatment of illness and injury, serving as a significant provider of health care for Texans and their families, and innovating the future of how care is delivered. UTMB opened in 1891 as the nation's first public medical school and hospital under unified leadership—already a pioneer. What began as one hospital and medical school building in Galveston is now a major academic health sciences center of global influence, with medical, nursing, health professions, and graduate biomedical schools a world-renowned research enterprise and a growing, comprehensive health system with hospitals on three campuses and a network of clinics. Today, UTMB has a $3.3 billion annual statewide economic impact in business volume, personal income, and durable goods purchases. More than 42,000 jobs in Texas are directly or indirectly attributed to UTMB. UTMB includes schools of Medicine, Nursing, Health Professions, and Graduate Biomedical Sciences, four institutes for advanced study, a primary medical library, a network of hospitals and clinics that provide a full range of primary and specialized medical care, and numerous research facilities. UTMB is a part of The University of Texas System and a member of the Texas Medical Center. UTMB's mission is to improve health for the people of Texas and around the world by offering innovative education and training, pursuing cutting edge research, and providing the highest quality patient care. We work together to work wonders as we define health care's future and strive to be the best in all our endeavors. Four essential strategic priorities—People, Value, Strategic Management and Growth, and Resources—are the foundation for our strategic vision and efforts to improve lives in an evolving health care landscape. This year, we focus our strategic priorities toward becoming a Top 20 health care provider among our academic medical center peers through our Best Care initiative. Achieving this goal is essential to our future success and will ensure the long-term health of our mission. The Road Ahead helps illustrate how every member of the university community—in classrooms, laboratories, hospitals, clinics, and support areas throughout Texas—is vital to our mission of improving health in Texas and around the world. UTMB has a long and marvelous history of advancing health sciences education, research, and patient care. It was the first academic health center in Texas and is home to the state's first schools of medicine, nursing, and allied health sciences. Research is one of the eight pillars essential to UTMB's mission to improve health for the people of Texas and around the world. Research Services is a value-added partner in the UTMB research enterprise. We facilitate the UTMB research mission, from funding identification through project completion by providing research-specific resources and education promoting research and advising and assisting with administrative policies and regulations. Each year the Office of Student Life leads and facilitates cultural, recreational, and social celebrations, ceremonies, and events for the University community. We collaborate with students and faculty to implement programs and activities that support students' personal and professional development while expanding their learning experiences. To instill spiritual values in students, teachers specially trained in Quran and Islamic studies hold classes for Muslim boys and girls throughout the year. 18. Accordingly, Al Bassam Schools are keen on establishing a Quality Assurance and Performance Assessment Unit (QAPAU) to keep pace with the global developments and achieve standards of excellence in performance at all educational levels. The role of this unit is to check and assess inputs, processes, and outputs according to the standards and indicators of local and international authorities. It provides reliable measurement tools including the assessment of the learning domains: cognitive, affective, and psychomotor. The main purpose is to identify and measure the quality performance, diagnose difficulties, and early intervention for dealing appropriately either in the remedial or supportive plan. Moreover, the Quality Assurance & Performance Assessment Unit estimates employees’ current and future training needs in all areas of school work and designs development programs reflected positively on performance excellence and quality. Al Bassam Schools, which offer a broad academic bilingual curriculum with Arabic and English as two languages of instruction, strive for academic excellence, supported by a co-curricular program to develop holistic learners. There are three main academic programs in Al-Bassam Schools: the Saudi National Curriculum, the British International Curriculum IGCSE, and the International programs (PYP-IB) curriculum. Our schools are keen on accurate planning to implement the standards of these academic programs professionally through annual plans resulting in daily lesson plans. These plans consider the three domains of learning: the cognitive domain based on the Bloom taxonomy, the affective domain based on Krathwohl, et al. taxonomy, and the psychomotor domain based on Simpson taxonomy. Therefore, we have been able to find comprehensive and balanced plans for the academic programs for all learning domains and students at their different levels.
