  2. At NIK, we believe all children’s social and emotional well-being is key to reaching their full potential. This is an inclusive place for young learners to explore and learn about the world around them. Purposeful play-based experiences provide powerful learning opportunities for students to engage and extend their existing ideas as they develop and apply new ways of understanding how the world works. Caring, nurturing teachers seek to support each child as an intelligent, capable, creative, and resourceful individual who knows how to work together with others effectively. We are fortunate to have purpose-built facilities with a large outdoor playground and are located in the heart of Seoul. Our outdoor spaces and learning experiences provide children with the opportunity to interact and appreciate nature. Schools are a community of diverse people, and great schools attract passionate, experienced teachers to meet the learning needs of their community. NIK teachers come from a variety of countries including America, Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom bringing with them substantial early years and international teaching experience. Our teachers are responsive to children’s unique abilities and intentionally plan for the individual learning needs of our children. Children who have a positive start to school are more likely to feel comfortable, valued, and have a strong, positive attitude towards lifelong learning. I believe that one thing that defines NIK as a quality learning environment, is the desire to combine the best teachers with a responsive educational program, in a caring learning environment.NIK encourages parents to be actively involved in their child’s education and learning through our school community. Beautiful indoor and outdoor environments are intentionally designed for young learners to enhance their learning experiences. Our classrooms have lots of natural light support and are designed to adapt to each child’s unique and creative learning styles. Underpinned by the IB PYP Early Years framework, learning at NIK results in happy, confident children who will develop the necessary knowledge and skills for their future academic success. The PYP Early Years framework aims to develop global students’ essential knowledge, language, skills, learner profiles, and attitudes while encouraging students to be reflective learners who apply their newly acquired knowledge to positive actions. The PYP is cohesively organized through integrated units of inquiry. These units are designed to be relevant, developmentally appropriate, meaningful, and engaging for the child. Providing opportunities for students to engage and interact with members of the Korean community is an integral part of NIK’s curriculum. Field trips, in-school visits, and Korean arts and activities are incorporated throughout our program to connect authentically with our host country’s amazing culture.
  3. At ECLC we endeavor to provide all students with a fun, engaging, and holistic learning environment where they feel safe, respected, and loved. Our teachers put children at the center of the program – offering experiences and activities that encourage and promote every child’s social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development. We understand that children grow and develop at their own pace. Classroom instruction is differentiated to allow all children to be challenged while feeling successful in all aspects of the program – regardless of their stage of development. We view a child’s developmental level as moving along a continuum and we recognize that movement is not always smooth or predictable. Simply put, the needs and abilities of each child is the primary factor that guides the program. ECLC specializes in the support of children who have English as an additional language by providing a synthetic phonics program that teaches explicitly the letter patterns, sounds, and phonology that underpin the English language. Where necessary we also provide small group instruction to support English second language learners. At ECLC English second language learners are immersed in a positive and rich learning environment where all instruction is in English. We know that language acquisition occurs best when children are exposed to new vocabulary over time, which is why we follow the International Primary Curriculum units of inquiry, which serve to reinforce vocabulary and help children to link their learning to meaningful experiences. Our world is becoming increasingly complex and changes are occurring more and more rapidly, ECLC strives to create an environment that provides a calm and secure place where each child’s uniqueness is celebrated.ECLC exists to provide Early Years Education for children of the local community in Seoul, Korea. ECLC is a secular organization that welcomes children of all nationalities, ethnicities, and religions. To enter ECLC, children must be at least 2 years old before September 1 of that school year.ECLC maintains a rolling enrollment policy during the entire year. Children may enroll, in accordance to their age and subject to class availability, any time throughout the academic year. Students are accepted into the Toddler program at ECLC with the hope that they have at least a ‘beginning awareness’ of their toileting needs. While diapers or “pull-ups” will be allowed initially, we plan that the child will gradually become more capable of taking care of his/her own toileting needs – including no longer needing to wear diapers. For students on the youngest end of this spectrum, ECLC has personnel specifically designated to help out with their diapering and toileting needs. After a reasonable amount of time has elapsed and taken the child’s developmental level into account, if there seems to be no noticeable progress in this area, the parents may be consulted by the teachers to work out a temporary plan to address the situation. We believe children do not simply receive knowledge – they construct it from a variety of active, hands-on experiences. We fit the program to the needs of the child rather than vice versa. “Differentiation” of learning activities is a critical element of a quality early childhood program. We understand that children learn at different rates in different developmental areas. One size does not fit all. Teacher assessment of a child’s abilities is a primary factor in determining what kinds of activities are selected. In general, more emphasis should be placed on the process, rather than the product, of learning. All children should leave ECLC at the end of each day feeling like they were successful. Education is not a race. It is a journey. ECLC provides a child-friendly environment equipped with age-appropriate furniture and materials. It is a very colorful, stimulating child-centered atmosphere. ECLC is located in Dongbingo-dong very close to the Capital Hotel. We use 3 floors of our building and consist of 12 classrooms that accommodate our Toddler, Preschool, K1, and K2 classes. Early Childhood Learning Center is a non-profit early years organization for children aged 2 to 6 years. ECLC has served the Seoul community since 1969. We provide a high-quality English-speaking program for children coming from over 20 different countries. Through both the curriculum and our American-style teaching approaches, we focus on developing the cognitive, emotional, social, and physical potential of each child in a nurturing, secure, and stimulating environment. Our teaching staff is comprised of talented teachers from 6 different countries. Located in Dongbingo-dong, Yongsan-gu near the Capitol Hotel, ECLC is an IPC (International Primary Curriculum) member. At ECLC we endeavor to provide all students with a fun, engaging, and holistic learning environment where they feel safe, respected, and loved. Our teachers put children at the center of the program – offering experiences and activities that encourage and promote every child’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. We understand that children grow and develop at their own pace. Classroom instruction is differentiated to allow all children to be challenged while feeling successful in all aspects of the program – regardless of their stage of development. We view a child’s developmental level as moving along a continuum and we recognize that this movement is not always smooth or predictable. Simply put, the needs and abilities of each child is the primary factor that guides the program. For those parents currently looking for an Early Childhood program for their child, please feel free to stop by or make an appointment for a tour. We are very proud of our ECLC and would be happy to show you what we have to offer.
  4. Welcome to BIK Hannam, and thank you for considering us for your child. British education has long been seen as the global leader in academic excellence, particularly at the university level. Crucially, however, the British approach understands that children begin to learn from birth and so has developed its curriculum for young learners to be engaging, challenging, and above all rewarding. BIK prepares students to the highest academic standards and aims to inspire respect, creativity, independence, dignity, and self-esteem. This is achieved through an approach largely inspired by the British National Curriculum.BIK Education places a strong emphasis on the expertise of the professionals delivering lessons, so my team of educators should be highly qualified and highly knowledgeable in the field of early childhood education as well as the international education experience. Since 2006 we have served an expatriate and Korean community of children from the ages of two to seven years, comprising over thirty nationalities.BIK was founded by Kevin McNealy, chairman of Orbital Education which has established and run independent schools in the UK and schools around the world. We provide the same education as prestigious independent kindergartens in the UK utilizing the British National Curriculum. At BIK we believe that creating positive childhood memories for our students is as equally important as building solid educational foundations for future development. Our students’ educational experience is stimulating and challenging, and in these vital years above all, it is achieved in an environment that is happy and secure. BIK is located near the UN village, a residential area popular with the International Community in Seoul.BIK has been constructed with the needs of our curriculum in mind. It has the full range of facilities needed for 2~7-year-olds: art room, indoor activity room, space for outdoor play, library, assembly hall, and spacious airy classrooms. BIK Hannam offers a unique education to young learners from ages 2-7. The emphasis is very much on learning through immersive, child-centered activity, incorporating play and social interaction.BIK Hannam respects that children learn differently and at different paces. Emphasis is put on ensuring students’ experiences correspond to their unique academic needs. This of course has to reflect their physical and social-emotional development as well as their educational development.BIK students progress through five years of study through many interconnecting areas of learning. BIK Hannam not only educates students to high academic standards but also nurtures them to be confident and considerate global citizens. Everything our young people do is achieved through the medium of English and is aimed at developing academically successful, emotionally mature, and well-rounded individuals. Graduates of BIK are well equipped for the new challenges that come on the next step of their educational journey. This is especially true when one considers the Five Core-Values of BIK education that all students benefit from. Self-esteem allows children to face life with more confidence and optimism.BIK teachers are positive role models and seek to maintain a very positive atmosphere in the classroom. Teachers seek opportunities to give praise when their students choose to do ‘the right thing’.Independence is a requirement for leading one’s life with the confidence to govern oneself. At BIK we don’t say that adults are the only positive role models we encourage our students to be leaders in the student body and show each other the ‘right thing to do’.We promote children’s self-esteem within the context of making their own positive and correct decisions. We are living in a world which demands that leaders are creative problem solvers.BIK students participate in daily curricular activities to foster their creativity. Students are given opportunities that guarantee creative expression, with constant encouragement to let their personalities and instincts shine through. With over 20 different cultures and backgrounds at BIK, diversity provides a lesson to be comfortable with and open to those things that distinguish. Giving to and sharing with others are important virtues of a global leader. Through a fraternal relationship with both the Green Umbrella Childfund and the Myongdo Welfare Centre, BIK Students learn what giving and sharing are and put them into practice. With such education, our children learn to understand various kinds of people in the world. A healthy body sets the stage for students’ day-to-day well-being and allows them to live an active life. With a curriculum that promotes physical development, a BIK student is ensured of an exciting time when visiting our gym hall for athletics, gymnastics as well as a routine that includes daily outdoor activities.

Only licensed drivers ever operate our vehicles, and we use careful procedures for pickup and drop-off each day. Rabieh Nursery is equipped to provide the best learning opportunities for your children. It is our philosophy that early childhood education should be a time for fun, warmth, security, exploration, and discovery. Rabieh Nursery’s purpose is to provide an environment that encourages social, emotional, physical, as well as intellectual growth and development of the child as a whole. Planned within the framework of philosophy and purpose, the curriculum includes sharing and conversation time, circle (theme stories), science, songs, creative art activities, exposure to shapes, colors, numbers, and letters. Outdoor, two large fenced-in playgrounds fully equipped to enhance gross motor skills and a swimming pool for warm days. We believe that discipline should be dealt with, in a firm but caring and compassionate manner, appropriate to the child’s age, experience, and understanding. Rabieh Nursery does not permit spanking or any form of corporal punishment. Good eating habits and positive attitudes towards food should be established at an early age. For young children, it is essential to have a nutritionally balanced diet for healthy growth and development. Menus have been designed to include items from each of the four basic food groups with fruits and vegetables. A variety of morning snacks and drinks are also given. Meals are prepared on-site, 2nd and 3rd portions are available for hungry little appetites. Menus are posted at the preschool entrance. Children are not allowed to bring candy or sweets or chewing gum except for birthday celebrations or special occasions.
  6. Children who are physically and mentally sound will become pioneers of the 21st century. We are committed to nurturing children filled with such potential. Katoh Kindergarten offers education to develop the unlimited potential of each child by providing an environment tailored to his/her needs. Furthermore, we recognize the importance of English as a lingua franca for their future. By identifying the trend of the times, we have developed our distinctive educational program by enriching early English education. We will continue to offer better child-care to every child to achieve a balanced personal development through moral, intellectual, and physical education. By providing children with various activities which elicit their interest and spontaneity, the Regular Course offers child-care which aims to raise “children who can spontaneously engage in activities.” Katoh Kindergarten also provides an open child-care program by using an open space where the walls of the nursery room are taken down. By taking down the walls, we employ a variety of activities beyond classes and grades. Not only homeroom teachers but also other care providers who are in the same space can watch each child, become involved with him/her from various perspectives, and develop a greater understanding of each child. There are various playing corners in the classroom. Children can choose their favorite corners and play there. Each corner is organized based on one theme. In addition, there are seasonal corners. Activities are developed based upon a particular theme. Themes are various such as “All about me”, “Animals”, and “World.” Students will engage in various activities based on a theme. Depending on the activities, children go outside children have school lunch on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and bring their lunch box on Tuesday and Thursday. After lunch, they play outside on the playground. In summer, they play in the pool. Children enjoy outdoor activities. Children change to their uniforms and get ready to go home. Then, teachers read picture books or picture-story shows and talk about the next day’s activity. This is the end of an enjoyable day. There are various play corners in the classroom. Children can choose their favorite corners and play there. Each corner is organized based on one theme. In addition, there are seasonal corners. Katoh Kindergarten established a child-raising circle to alleviate parent’s anxiety regarding child-care and to support them by providing an “opportunity” for 0-3 years old children and their parents to meet casually and exchange their concerns. Katoh Kindergarten staff introduces various activities that parents and children can enjoy together. Activities will be planned according to the age group. Katoh Kindergarten provides school bus transportation for students. Five red buses operate on ten different routes to ensure that children can get to the school and back safely and comfortably. Unfortunately, the environment surrounding children has become increasingly dangerous. At Katoh Kindergarten, to prevent suspicious individuals from entering the premises, we are asking parents to wear their parents’ tags when they come to school. Katoh Kindergarten organizes soccer and rhythmic gymnastics classes in response to the parent’s request to provide their children with more full-scale physical activities after school. Furthermore, we provide violin classes in aiming for the further enrichment of aesthetic appreciation in children as well as intelligence and physical abilities. The Immersion Course is one form of bilingual education, which is designed to enable children to acquire English naturally by being immersed in an English environment just as Japanese children acquire the Japanese language. At Katoh Kindergarten Immersion Program, 50% or more of a school day is conducted in English. Principally, if the morning activities are conducted in English, the afternoon activities are in Japanese. Native English-speaking teachers and Japanese teachers collaboratively bring up children. By continuing every day’s activities in the kindergarten, children will rapidly acquire English necessary for their life. They can learn English in the same way they learned Japanese, soaking it in naturally as if it was their native tongue.
  7. At Nakamura Shirayuri Kindergarten we respect each child's individuality and nurture each child's development appropriately. We take pride in our long history and in our progressive curriculum which we continually strive to develop and expand. By nurturing each child's individuality and creativity, we facilitate their healthy development. Also, by creating an international environment for the children from an early age, we are dedicated to providing a unique service. To help our children to participate fully in our international society, our full-time native-speaking teachers teach them English during kindergarten hours. Young children have a wonderful sense of hearing and the ability to mimic the pronunciation of native speakers. Rather than simply teaching the children English, we have created an environment where children naturally come into contact with English when playing or doing other activities. 3-year olds are more than capable of picking up languages by ear. In some countries, it is not unusual for children to be bilingual or indeed trilingual at this age. Kindergarten years are extremely important years for language development in children. In addition, children absorb more in a fun environment. Outside English class time, the children meet our English teachers and English-speaking staff and come into contact with English as they play and have fun. On the day's kindergarten is open, we offer extended daycare service, including an afternoon snack, up until 6 pm. This service is available primarily for working parents. Recently, the ratio of households where both parents are working has increased substantially, so feel free to use this service. With the children's health is our number one priority, we provide homemade lunches prepared from carefully selected ingredients. Nutritionally balanced and created with children's food preferences in mind, our lunch helps to remedy an unbalanced diet. Our menus include international foods and traditional Japanese foods. Lunch is prepared in our kitchen, so the children can enjoy freshly prepared hot and cold meals. Even though some children are afraid of the shower when they play in the pool with their friends they gradually become comfortable in the water. By the time they graduate, they develop the confidence to enjoy their time in the pool. Swimming or spending time in the pool helps children during their early developmental years. Our professional coaches lead the children's swimming classes in the heated pool all year round. We have three buses at the kindergarten which pick up the children in the morning and take them home after kindergarten finishes. The buses take various routes in Tsukuba and Tsuchiura Cities. Our experienced drivers and friendly teachers take all necessary precautions to ensure the children have a safe and comfortable trip. All the children at our Kindergarten wear uniforms. Navy blue is the base color of the elegantly designed clothes. Skirts and trousers are worn all year round. Kids Club is a person who wishes to enter the Nakamura Shirayori kindergarten, who wants to become familiar with collective life before entering the school, those who have a job and who can not look after their children, and friends in the neighborhood It is pre-school break-in nursery care for those who want to make them play with their friends of the same age because they are not there. From the physical strength creation, it aims to improve the fun, such as mats, jump boxes, iron bars. Swimming enhances cardiorespiratory function and enhances physical strength and endurance. At Nakamura Shirayori Swimming School, we aim for an energy-friendly and healthy body making it fun and energetic in a peaceful atmosphere!
  8. The YMCA of Hong Kong Christian International Kindergarten was established in 1992 to provide quality education in an English setting to an international body of students. The Kindergarten was awarded the valued UNICEF ‘Child-Friendly School’ award in December 2009 and recognized as the top school in Kowloon by a leading HK Community website. The students are encouraged to serve rather than take, show respect for all living things. and develop social responsibility. Proud of our cultural diversity we offer a progressive curriculum that allows us to create a stimulating environment. Children are encouraged to solve problems, make choices and be active learners all the time upholding spiritual and moral values. They are motivated to show curiosity, ask questions, develop independence, work alongside others, and enjoy their learning. As an inclusive school, we aim to integrate children with any developmental delays or needs into school life. We believe that every child is unique and special. Our teaching approach is based on our belief that "play" has a vital role in children's learning experience. Our "learn through play" program is designed with the following objectives: To enhance communication and verbal skills. To encourage creativity. We stay true to our motto, “Multilingual Students Today, Global Citizens Tomorrow”, and to our objectives – Together we care, learn and inspire – by implementing programs that emphasize exploratory and inquiry-based learning approaches, in environments designed to nurture children’s love of learning, academic, and skills development. The International Baccalaureate (IB) program, renowned for challenging the inquiring mind and engaging children with a broader international perspective, is implemented in all of our campuses, that have been authorized as an IB World schools. Furthermore, a balanced curriculum to enforce literacy standards and enrich inquiry learning is adopted throughout our organization. Our entire staff is committed to establishing a school environment that allows students to enjoy their learning experiences, and to flourish and grow at all levels. The immersion setting we provide demonstrates our emphasis on developing children’s early biliteracy and trilingual skills. We facilitate such language development by implementing the “one teacher-one language” arrangements in classrooms, thus allowing children to learn and interact with native speakers of different languages: English, Cantonese, and Putonghua respectively.

  11. Welcome to Victoria (Harbour Green) Kindergarten. We are one of the two Victoria Kindergartens located on the Kowloon side, and welcome 430 enthusiastic students each day. Harbour Green campus runs trilingual programmes for 2 to 6 years olds from Pre-Nursery to K3, and proudly offers the IB Primary Years Programme and the Columbia University Teachers College Reading and Writing Project (TCRWP). We also offer cross-curricula enrichment activities in the areas of music, art, and sports in order to foster balanced development in our children. Large, open-space learning areas are a signature feature of a 21st century school environment. At Victoria Harbour Green, we have six different sections in our large open play area allowing for the development of literacy, mathematics, role-play, sensory, arts, and science. Each section of this play area is updated throughout the year and linked to the ‘Units of Inquiry’ students are investigating. Through innovative learning experiences, we are able to extend students learning from each individual classroom to the common play area so that they can make connections from the individual to the whole community learning level. Our library provides a relaxed and safe environment that offers repeated exposure to positive interactions. In this space students have access to a wide variety of books, and are exposed to diverse story times and lessons taught by our experienced librarian. All of these experiences have a significant impact on brain development, foster students’ curiosity to inquire, and help to develop vital early literacy and mathematical skills. Most importantly, our library provides an opportunity for students to develop a love of books and reading. The collection of books in our library is organised in connection with the six transdisciplinary themes, and the ten learner profile attributes of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme. As thoughtful educators who are committed to continuous improvement, we reflect annually on our curriculum and the way we teach it. Our well-trained teachers are able to deliver the most up-to-date cutting edge trilingual programme by applying their knowledge gained from participating in worldwide professional development workshops. Best practice of 21st century teaching and learning involves certain strategic, timeless elements. Flexibility is one of the key elements when delivering a programme which promotes skill driven, concept based and play based learning. We know that using technology with our students is also one of the keys in unlocking 21st century global skill sets. Hence, all our classrooms, including our library, are equipped with an Interactive Whiteboard and a visualiser which are used to enhance learning. All of our teaching staff are enthusiastic, energetic, qualified, native English, Putonghua and Cantonese speaking Early Childhood Educators who are committed to working in a dynamic environment. They are recruited from all around the world including Europe, North America, and Asia. As lifelong learners, striving for excellence in Early Years Education, our teachers participate regularly in structured professional development opportunities. These include seminars and workshops conducted by experts from the International Baccalaureate Organization, project developers from Columbia University Teachers College Reading and Writing Project, and specialist early childhood educators from overseas or Mainland China. Location is not simply a matter of providing safe and enjoyable learning experiences for children. More importantly, parents appreciate the accessibility of our school. Victoria Harbour Green is conveniently located in one of Hong Kong’s developing areas - West Kowloon. Our school is easily accessible by the MTR which is just 5 minutes walking distance away from the Olympic Station. Located in a private residential estate, the safety and privacy of our students is of paramount importance. A warm, welcoming, and highly supervised environment is a must when it comes to early childhood education.
  12. A kindergarten is the very first school a child attends and hence we place a strong emphasis on our school atmosphere. St Teresa's Kindergarten uses "developmentally appropriate" teaching practices to suit both the needs and levels of the children. To put it simply, our teachers think first about what young children are like and then create an environment and experiences that are in tune with their characteristics. Our teachers make learning relevant, interesting, and fun. Children in our kindergarten learn through individual, small group teaching, and whole-class activities. They are encouraged to Wonder, Think, Feel and Imagine. Our qualified and experienced Early Childhood teachers make use of thematic learning. The themes are related to daily life experiences, children's interests, and current happenings. The main emphasis is on the key learning areas of English, Early Mathematics, Science, Arts and Crafts, Music, Cooking, Health, Physical Education, and Personal Development. Our classrooms are luxuriously large, airy, and bright with lots of natural light. Measuring 27 ft in length and 22 ft in breadth, each classroom has different "Activity Corners" where children can actively explore, play, work and move around freely. All classroom furniture and shelves are in bright, child-friendly colors. They have been specially tailor-made to appeal to children and ensure their safety. Storybooks, play equipment, and stationery are stored at a height convenient for children to easily access them. Our kindergarten has its very own playground that is equipped with slides, swings, and other play equipment. Special rubber mats have been installed around all outdoor play equipment to ensure the safety of children and to prevent serious injury. In addition, whenever children use the playground they are supervised by the teachers. The school will hold two meetings per year. These meetings will allow parents to speak directly with their child's teacher, and discuss their development throughout the school year thus far. It will also be a chance to ask questions or voice concerns directly to teachers. The school will organize school outings periodically. A notification letter will be sent home with details of the planned excursion. Parents are welcome to assist and join us on these outings. However, such trips will be canceled at short notice should there be a change in the weather. We encourage you to make an appointment with the class teacher to discuss your child's progress or any school-related problems. Parents are requested not to discuss such matters with the teacher when children are entering or leaving the school. To notify the school if your family has moved to a new address. It would help us contact you in an emergency. Birthday parties can be held during school hours only. If you intend to celebrate your child's birthday at school, it is best to inform the class teacher at least a week in advance. It is advisable to inform the school if your child needs special attention or if he/she is allergic to any medicine or food. If your child is sick, do be considerate and ensure that he/she has completely recovered and is past the infectious period before sending him/her to school. A doctor's certificate is needed if the child has suffered from any infection, such as mumps, chickenpox, measles, etc.
  13. Welcome to Victoria (South Horizons) International Nursery and Kindergarten. Every day we have over 400 eager students coming into our school which is located in the Southern District of Hong Kong Island. Our campus offers a Trilingual program for 2 to 6-year-olds from Pre-Nursery to Upper Class (K3), and a Bilingual program starting from 3 to 6 years old from Nursery Class (K1) to Upper Class (K3). We provide an inquiry and literacy-based curriculum our teachers have trained annually in the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP) and the Columbia University Teacher's College Reading and Writing Project (TCRWP). As you walk down the steps to our kindergarten, you will likely be welcomed by ships sailing by. The beautiful sea view is a warm and inviting environment for the children to come to school every day. From many of the different classroom windows, you can see the clear blue sea and boats passing by. There are times when you can even hear the honking of the horns from the ships. Being surrounded by nature and gardens offers the children a breath of fresh air from the hustle and bustle of the city. From the moment that you walk into the lobby of our campus, you will see two corridors that lead the kindergarten into different engaging learning areas intended to promote creativity and curiosity. When you look into our classrooms, you will see an aesthetically pleasing environment that encourages the children to explore various learning centers related to their current units of inquiry. The large learning areas allow the children to move around with ease, engage in interactive lessons, and also allow enough space for quiet activities, small group activities, and individualized learning. Not only are the children able to learn from the internal school community, but they are also able to learn from the close-knit extended community of South Horizons. Our neighborhood allows the children to have real-life experiences that build on the classroom learning and improve the students' essential literacy, research, and problem-solving skills. There are many opportunities for parents to join in on class activities and field trips to promote collaboration between home and school, as many of our students and their families also live in South Horizons. We believe that our learning community not only consists of the school but also the home community in providing a first-class education for everyone. Located conveniently in the Southern District, there is an abundance of transportation to choose from that gets you to our campus. There are many buses to and from Central, Causeway Bay, and even Pok Fu Lam. With the new South Island Line of the MTR, it is even quicker to get to South Horizons from Admiralty. Whether you take the bus or train, when you cross over the Ap Lei Chau Bridge, you will get a glimpse of the incredible view that is on the South Island. We strive to deliver a balanced curriculum with hands-on, inquiry-based learning. Our campus has been an authorized IB World School since April 2015, and we have been a partner school of Columbia University’s Teacher’s College Reading and Writing Project since September the same year. These programs allow the children to be inquirers and take ownership of their learning, as well as develop their thinking skills to apply strategies that will build their confidence as learners.

  17. Welcome to Causeway Bay Victoria Kindergarten & International Nursery. Our Mission: To develop a community of international, curious, and lifelong learners who help to build a better world through open-mindedness, understanding, trust, and respect. We accomplish this through a diverse and energetic curriculum delivered by enthusiastic and professional staff in partnership with children and parents, in a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment. Our program allows children to enjoy learning and to reach their optimal potential – academically, socially, and personally, giving them the skills and attitudes to be confident and responsible in an evolving world. Everyone knows that children are full of potential however, only those who offer quality education can promise to bring out the best in children. At Causeway Bay Victoria, we combine rich experiences in education and classic developmental theories with the newest scientific discoveries around the world, to provide the best education and the most pleasant learning environment possible for our next generation. Most members of our excellent international teaching team have already obtained their bachelor’s or master’s degrees. Through inquiry-based learning, we promote international-mindedness and cultural awareness with a strong bilingual foundation. We have adopted the International Baccalaureate® (IB) curriculum since 2006 and became an authorized IB World School in 2012. To further strengthen students’ interest in reading and writing and build a solid language foundation, starting from 2013, we have worked with Teachers College of Columbia University to design and implement the “Reading and Writing Project”. We actively encourage parents’ involvement in children’s development and education and often invite locally and world-renowned experts to give parent seminars, as well as organize exchange visits to Mainland and overseas sister schools. No matter where they choose to continue on their education, whether at Victoria Shanghai Academy, the “through-train” school that I founded, or at other primary schools, our graduates are ready achievers, always love to learn, and are good at expressing themselves. We will continue to seek collaborative opportunities with higher institutions and overseas schools and bring the newest and the most effective pedagogy to Victoria. At the same time, we will strengthen the kindergarten to primary school transition. Under the leadership of Ms. Ting, Principal Sabrina Lee and I will inherit the spirit of our mothers and march forward. Causeway Bay Victoria Kindergarten and International Nursery aim to have our children actively engage in different learning activities, who can socialize confidently in groups, and have parents who will support their children to grow to their full potential in becoming responsible global citizen who evolves in a child-centered learning community that combines international perspectives and Chinese heritage. As an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, we offer the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP). This program forms the basis of a rigorous education through a well-developed curriculum that fosters academic excellence and personal growth. The Bilingual/Trilingual learning environment is provided to stimulate and promote international-mindedness as well as cultural awareness among local students and students from diverse backgrounds. Most parents prefer to keep their children's multi-language learning strong, and many want to continue with an IB education. Victoria Shanghai Academy (VSA) is a popular choice, and our students are given a preferential opportunity for admission. The school’s curriculum is based on the IB Primary Years Programme(PYP), which is a pillar of inquiry-based learning. The IB model is student-led: the teachers play the role of facilitators, helping the children to construct knowledge. Through this process, the children continually ask questions, and then collect, analyze, organize, and report on the information they have found.
  18. Established in 1988, David Exodus Kindergarten is passionate about early childhood education. We believe that children best learn about the world through play. As an intimate, independently-run institution, we pride ourselves on offering individual attention to each of our children, bringing out the potential in everyone. Our children love coming to school and we aim to instill in them a sense of curiosity and a passion for learning that will last throughout their lives. We design our curriculum to encourage all aspects of a child’s physical, intellectual, social, and emotional development. We take a thematic approach with an emphasis on "learn through play". We encourage children to participate hands-on in all activities. We believe that communication between parents and educators is essential for a happy and successful kindergarten experience. We have an excellent track record of getting children placed in ESF and private international primary schools, and advocate for our students to give them the best chances of a successful start to formal education. Located within a private housing development in Tai Wai, David Exodus is set away from roads, offering a safe, tranquil environment for little ones. We offer two classrooms and an enclosed outdoor playground for PE, games, and messy play. Our aim is for children to be enthusiastic about learning and enjoy attending Kindergarten. We view Kindergarten as a bridge between the home and primary school. We encourage regular contact between parents and teachers to ensure that each child is treated as an individual whose needs are catered for in all areas of the curriculum. Children learn through play using a ‘thematic’ approach and we encourage children to participate hands-on in all activities, rather than as a spectator. We design our curriculum to encourage all aspects of a child’s physical, intellectual, social, and emotional development.
