      1. City Harbour International School is located in the expanding town of Manjung, less than two hours from Ipoh and the idyllic islands of Penang and Langkawi in the northern part of Silver State (Perak). With yet another island, Pangkor, only a ferry ride away, and a host of public amenities in the vicinity, CHIS is set to make waves in the international education arena as the first international school in this region. We are proud to offer a unique educational experience – one that emphasizes emotional, spiritual, physical, and intellectual development while bearing in mind the sustainable goals of the United Nations. Our state of the art infrastructure built on a 6-acre piece of land surrounded by lush greenery boasts of spacious classrooms, open spaces for students to learn and play, a track and field circuit, multi-purpose courts, squash and tennis courts, a 2000-seater hall, an auditorium, 4 Science laboratories, facilities for the performing arts and much more our sole objective to pave the path and to champion the leaders of tomorrow. CHIS is the ONLY international school in Malaysia to have collaborate with Outward Bound School (OBS). Our students embark on weekly activities at OBS, challenging themselves to raft, rock climbing, sailing, mountaineering, and community service. Our qualified and trained teaching faculty challenge and nurture students daily to realize their full potential to achieve the students’ best, both in and outside the classroom. City Harbour International School (CHIS) is set to be 'the' prestigious international school in the south-western corridor of Perak in the district of Manjung. We are proud to extend a complete solution to international education ranging from pre-school to pre-university. Set to be distinct, CHIS is a blend of day school with the essence of boarding school emphasizing stringent discipline, and compulsory extra-curricular activities to complement academic excellence. We boast academics that extend beyond the classroom. We advocate the notion of "one student, one sport" making participation in sports mandatory although we encourage our students to actively participate in multiple sports and extra-curricular activities throughout their schooling journey. Apart from being academically acclaimed, we trust in the character development of every student, inculcating moral values that lead to good citizenship. As a premier school set in the backdrop of a Naval Base, student discipline takes the center stage backed by essential human values incorporated into overall teaching and learning as part of students' everyday life. This gives greater coherence to the curriculum and provides students and faculty with a vital sense of shared vision for greater success. Our belief harmonizes with the notion that the right footing in early childhood warrants a head-start that would guarantee students' readiness to excel at every level of education throughout their schooling years. CHIS takes a holistic approach to student development by providing an environment that stimulates thinking, learning, and interaction skills to reveal and build upon existing inner talents in every student. City Harbour International School envisions providing a common platform for acquiring knowledge and wisdom to remain competitive and relevant globally. We recognize that every individual is unique and talented in their way. It is our duty and responsibility to identify, differentiate and nurture their needs by implementing personally meaningful, professionally motivating, and intellectually stimulating learning experiences throughout their schooling journey. We cherish "Wisdom" as a virtue and our way of life. While knowledge is gathered from learning and education, wisdom is acquired through one's day-to-day experiences. Our school envisages creating a unique schooling journey full of experiences that would enable our scholars to make sound decisions and judgments in their everyday life. Wisdom is recognized to define and refine students' character, nurturing them into multi-talented individuals, respected citizens, and leaders of tomorrow. And this isn't possible without "Fortitude", the mental and emotional courage within us. View full school

      7. At the start of 1980, Alan and Lyn Smith, in conjunction with the Coffs Harbour Baptist Church, began an investigation into the viability of a Christian Community School in the Coffs Harbour region. In 1980, a public community meeting was called to ascertain community interest in starting a Christian Community School. As a result of that public meeting, Coffs Harbour Christian Community School commenced operation at the start of 1981. The school started with 29 students and ran classes from Kindergarten to Year 6. We are an education provider focusing upon Jesus Christ and His teachings as our ultimate aspirations for living. The difference is brought about because, as a staff, we have all committed our lives to follow Jesus. Encouraging the development of leadership within our students is an essential focus of the Christian Community School Welfare Program's culture. We program's culture leader to be a person who can see 'the big picture,' who is willing to serve others, encouraging them to reach their potential rather than focusing on themselves. In Year 8, avenues for leadership development areas Junior House Vice Captains and the Middle School leaders. Year 12 students can become School Vice Captains and Captains (boy and girl for both), members of the Student Executive, Sports House Captains, or Church Time Leaders.
