With the forceful current of constant change sweeping over every part of our lives, people need to connect with something enduring and firm. We believe Christ designed the church to fulfill that need by representing an eternal kingdom and ageless truth with no need to imitate the culture. We want you to know that there’s still a church that feels like a church. It won’t feel like a rock concert, comedy club, or motivational seminar. It's not old-fashioned, as in 50 years ago. It is timeless, as in 2,000 years ago. Please accept our invitation to join us this Sunday. In 1980, the Lord led Eric Thrush to start a church in Mount Helena, Western Australia. It quickly grew from a handful of people meeting in their homes to renting a room at Eastern Hills Senior High School. Just four years later ground was broken at 6 Chidlow St and a permanent building was erected. Later that same year the church again expanded its vision by opening a school, Bible Baptist Christian Academy. This ministry has been a wonderful addition and has proved an asset to many Christian families in our community. Through the years the church continued to expand its influence by adding an annual family camp in October, a youth camp during the Easter school holidays, children’s ministries, and in 2014 it added Hills Baptist Bible Institute as a place to train a new generation of Christian leaders. Bible Baptist Christian Academy is a small school specializing in Bible-based, Christian education from Pre-primary to Year 12. Founded in 1985, the school is located on the premises of Bible Baptist Church and operates as a ministry of the church. We believe in partnering with Christian homes in the development of students through education. As a result, the school is focused on Biblical principles and academic excellence while always striving to be distinctly Christian. The school holds to a Biblical worldview throughout its curriculum. BBCA is a member of the Association of Independent Schools of Western Australia. View full school
- Thank you for considering our school. The Baptist School is proud to offer families the best educational choices in a warm and loving family atmosphere. Why do we think that our school is your best choice: Our long history of excellence baptist schools in Jordan has been serving the community since 1950. The first Baptist school was established in Ajloun, whereas Amman Baptist School was established in 1974. Last school year we became an authorized International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme School. It is a two-year educational program primarily aimed at 16 to 18-year-olds (grades 11 and 12). The program provides an internationally accepted qualification for entry into higher education and is recognized by many universities worldwide. Picking the right school for your beloved children isn't an easy task. We think ABS is your ideal choice: Passion for knowledge - Many children have a passion for learning that can easily be damaged by boring school days and tedious routines. ABS is all about expanding your child's world, thinking creatively and strategically, exploring, innovating, and collaborating. This applies to all school programs without exception but in varying degrees. Christian School - Deeply rooted Christian values, here at Abs we care about spiritual upbringing as much as physical and mental ones. Islamic religion classes are available to Muslim students whom we welcome with open arms. ABS teaches those students the MOE's curriculum. Location - Perfectly located in the heart of Amman, the Al-Rabieh area is indeed close to everything and is easily accessible in whichever direction you may be coming from. Family Atmosphere - These aren't mere words. We are a true family. Most of our staff are students' parents. When hiring, we always give priority to moms and dads. This, among other things, makes this school unique where all care about the psychological well-being of one another. ABS is all about nurturing family love. Long history - Ours is a long-standing educational fortress. We've been helping bring up fine young men and women of the future since 1974. Different programs to choose from - The school is ever-evolving. We have no problem whatsoever keeping up with all that is new in the world of education. ABS offers the National Program, International Program (IGCSE), and the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program. Emphasis on character education - We care greatly about raising decent human beings who are global citizens. Making a difference towards the betterment of mankind through raising the next generation is our priority. The Baptist School offers a range of academic programs designed to meet the diverse needs and talents of its students. Curriculums encompass basic and advanced studies. Our graduates are well prepared to become the next generation of leaders, critical thinkers, and innovators in our society. The ABS Kindergarten is dedicated to the glory of God and exists to help children grow spiritually, emotionally, physically, and academically. We have high expectations of our children and want them to excel in everything they do in life. Our Primary School prepares students to be creative, innovative, responsible, and compassionate men and women of the future. Each child is a beloved and valued member of our school. Parents can choose between two programs: The National Program where all subjects are taught in Arabic whilst English is one subject among the rest, and the Cambridge Primary Program where all subjects are taught in English whilst Arabic is one subject among the rest. While our teachers embrace a collaborative approach to learning that supports diverse interests and needs, we are mostly distinguished by the cozy, loving, nurturing, family-like atmosphere here at the Primary School. For us, school is not merely about educating the minds but educating the hearts and souls, too. The school continues to offer consistently the same loving atmosphere and educational programs: National Program and Cambridge Secondary Program. The Baptist School offers the International General Secondary Certificate of English (IGSCE Program), which provides students with an international education with access to a worldwide community of studies and working internationally. Our curriculum is recognized for providing students with a broad and balanced education. The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) is a two-year educational program primarily aimed at 16 to 18-year-olds (grades 11 and 12). The program provides an internationally accepted qualification for entry into higher education and is recognized by many universities worldwide. IBDP is an academically rigorous and balanced program of education with final examinations (at grade 12) that prepares high school students for success in higher education and life in a global society. The High School is the place where our boys and girls grow into young men and women of the future. As we follow the Ministry of Education's curriculum, we seek to give each boy and girl a well-rounded knowledge, with every opportunity to reach their full potential and be well-prepared for a successful and fulfilling life after graduation. The Baptist School offers the following streams to choose from under The National Program: Scientific Stream, Literary Stream, and Hotel Management. Underpinning all these facets is a level of care that defines The Baptist School as a unique close-knit community that understands that all children are different and that each child is valued for his/her uniqueness. A student's stream of choice is the 1st step towards Higher Education which in turn will shape his/her future career path. Back then, Baptists were renowned in northern Jordan for their distinguished medical services. Indeed, many Jordanians -from all parts of the country- sought them for treatment. Owing to their high-quality performance and their courteous manner, many people expressed an insistent desire for them to add educational programs to their services. With this goal in mind, they enthusiastically pursued the dream of establishing a school in Amman. American and Jordanian Baptist leaders met with the Minister of Education then, His Excellency Mr. Thoqan Al-Hindawi. The meeting concluded that the Ministry is fully willing to cooperate to establish a completely co-educational school. Mr. Hindawi encouragingly stated that the large Jordanian community is in dire need of such a school. In the year 2000, and under the patronage of His Excellency Mr. Eid Al-Fayez, the school held the inauguration ceremony for the new music wing. The wing comprises several rooms specially designed for large group practice as well as small individual ones. The wing maintains state-of-the-art educational requirements, fulfills the needs of the school's large musical band, and provides advanced musical programs. Every year, The Baptist School Students achieve excellent results on both international & national levels. Many of its teachers have been awarded The Queen Rania Al-Abdulla's Award for Excellence in Teaching. View full school
- St John the Baptist Infant Girls’ School is a Catholic Infant Girls’ School under the patronage of the Archbishop of Dublin and operating under the guidelines and rules of the Department of Education and Skills. While St John the Baptist Infant Girls’ School has a Catholic ethos, it also has due recognition for all other religions and will uphold gender equity amongst the teachers, staff, and pupils. We wish our school to be a place where the focus remains on developing the moral, spiritual, academic, social, physical, aesthetic, and cultural aspects of all our children appropriate to their young age, abilities, and aptitudes within a caring, secure and happy environment. This we envisage occurring in a lovely warm, positive atmosphere where young children are encouraged to grow, develop and achieve their full potential based on courtesy, consideration, and mutual respect. We envisage that all members of the school community would feel happy and secure in a spirit of encouragement and enthusiasm while recognizing and celebrating diversity. We envisage that each child who leaves our school will do so with a positive self-image and the confidence born of knowing right from wrong. Our school motto is Is Deas A Bheith Óg (It is nice to be young). It is our school's priority to provide a safe, happy, and stimulating place into which your child will love to come each day. - A church school, we hold Christian values at the heart of everything we do. These are Friendship, trust, forgiveness, courage, creativity, peace, hope, and thankfulness. Teachers, governors, and parents all work together in partnership with one common aim: to do the best we can do for our children. We strive to create an environment where pupils are securely challenged, supported, and feel confident. Each child is valued equally and we believe that each child should be motivated to reach his or her potential, to take their place as a good citizen within the community. The Flintshire Healthy Schools scheme was launched in October 2000 and is a member of the Welsh Network of Healthy Schools funded by Public Health Wales. The scheme aims to provide support for school improvement by establishing a healthy school climate in which the health and well-being of all members of the school community are valued and supported. St. John's joined the scheme in 2006 and we have achieved Phases one and two. We are not currently working towards Phase three. To ensure that the message and initiatives from the first two phases are still prevalent within the school we will be holding a Healthy Eating Fortnight after May Half Term. During this project, all classes will be focusing on the importance of eating healthily, exercising, and looking after our bodies. This term, Miss Thelwell will be hosting an after-school choir club taking place each Thursday from 3.15 - 4.15 pm (more information will follow shortly). Our "Kick It" club was so successful the last term, that the club will be returning to our school for 5 weeks from Tuesday 9th June (the application forms will be sent home the week before May half term). This will be open once again, for all pupils from year 1 to year 6. View full school
- St. John the Baptist is one of eight schools within the Primary Advantage Federation which is overseen by Executive Head Sian Davies. Fiona Judge, our Executive Headteacher, and Lucy Blewett, our Head of School are supported by a strong Senior Leadership Team. The Senior Team acts as the point of contact for parents, children, and staff. We are a Church of England school and pride ourselves on our strong Christian ethos and strong links with St John’s Church Hoxton. Many of our children join St John the Baptist in the Nursery, aged three. A place in the Nursery does not guarantee a place in the main school, however. We encourage all our families with children in nursery to apply for a place in our Reception. Children meeting the local authority’s entry requirements move on to Reception. As we have two classes in Reception, we do have places for children who do not attend our nursery. The Hackney Learning Trust is responsible for setting the admission arrangements for all schools for which they are the Admission Authority – that is, community and voluntary controlled schools in the borough. For voluntary-aided schools, academies, foundation schools, or free schools each school governing body or Academy Trust is their admission authority. From time to time, we also have vacancies in other year groups. To apply for a place for one of our Years 1 to 6 classes, parents need to go to the Hackney Learning Trust to fill out a mid-term transfer form. We encourage visits to the school for prospective families. Our approach is underpinned by our strong Christian ethos. We aim to help children learn to love and forgive each other and aspire to be the best they can be, rejoicing in their success and the success of others. We also aim to establish a clear understanding of rights and responsibilities for all by embedding the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. The school has partnerships with a variety of organizations. We work closely with different groups to provide support for our pupils with their learning and out-of-school activities. We are committed to inclusion and believe that all children have a common entitlement to a broad and balanced curriculum that is accessible to them. Several children in the course of their school career will experience periods when they have difficulty in keeping up with their peers. Pupils develop at different rates, especially in primary education. At St John the Baptist we are committed to identifying and supporting any child in this position under the Special Educational Needs System. We are a group of schools working together because we believe our schools can gain many benefits from working collaboratively. We have committed to a shared responsibility to the wider school community, the provision of good quality education, and the improvement of life chances for pupils in the community beyond that of our schools. Teachers, support staff, school leaders, and governors have added expertise in working alongside colleagues to improve provision and outcomes for our pupils. Our schools are inclusive we focus on the well-being and progress of every child and we are committed to ensuring all members of our community are of equal worth. We believe that the Equality Act provides a framework to support our commitment to valuing diversity, tackling discrimination, promoting equality, and fostering good relationships between people. It also ensures that we continue to tackle issues of disadvantage and underachievement of different groups. If you are an adult and you are on this section of the website, we suppose you are concerned about your child. If you are a child, we suspect you clicking on this page was a huge mistake or there was a dream that scared you into liking homework. Either way, let us tell you the benefits of homework. Children, you may hate homework, but it’s good for you. If you didn’t know, adults, it helps children consolidate their learning. So, children, adults, please do your homework! You will find some useful resources on the leaflet below plus, have a look at the fundamentals that we use for our learning. We developed a curriculum at St John the Baptist which ensures children have a broad range of knowledge, skills, and understanding. Above all, we try to ensure they enjoy their learning and make progress. Assessing how children progress against the requirements of the National Curriculum informs teacher planning. Our curriculum is designed to inspire and motivate pupils while providing for their academic, moral, physical, creative, personal, and social development. Children learn through a careful balance of specific teaching programs and a topic-based approach. From the Foundation Stage through to Key Stage 2 we recognize the importance of making links across the curriculum. Lessons are designed to ensure pupils acquire knowledge and skills and have opportunities to practice and apply their skills in a range of contexts. We encourage co-operative work, talk, discussion and above all, enjoyment as vehicles for learning in all subjects. Keeping ourselves safe on the internet is very important. One of the things which help us to stay safe all year round is our team of Digital Leaders. Our Digital Leaders are a fantastic asset to the school community. A Digital Leader is a pupil who is part of a Digital Leaders Team within a school. Their role is to support the use and further the development of ICT in schools. With technology advancing at such a fast rate, it is hard to keep up with change. Find out more about us in the Pupil Voice section. We do lots of activities at St John the Baptist to help us stay safe. For example, we have an annual online safety week. During online safety Week, we held a parent workshop where we discussed how to be safe on social media and how to be safe online. All parents who attended the workshop said they found the session very useful. This year during Online Safety week, we participated in supporting Safer Internet Day. View full school

We get to know our pupils as individuals and provide a secure and positive environment one that stimulates enthusiasm, offers equal opportunity and a challenge for all one that makes a difference. Our main school rule, ‘Treat others as you wish to be treated yourself, is founded in the Christian teachings of ‘Love thy Neighbour’ and embodies our approach to life in St. John’s and beyond. As a result, our pupils enjoy school, care about and help each other and about their wider community. Our children are at the heart of all we do we provide a broad and exciting curriculum and offer an array of wide-ranging opportunities for them. We encourage all to ‘Go for it!’ through our positive school motto. As a result, having joined us as infants, from our main feeder Hampton Wick Infant and Nursery School, our talented young people leave us as confident, caring, well-rounded, and inspirational young seniors - they are ready and prepared for their secondary education and the rapidly changing world beyond. We value our school’s rich history and we drive to be at the forefront of education. We enjoy working and developing partnerships with our wider community, such as Hampton Court Palace, our fellow Richmond Church of England Schools, our Diocesan schools across London, and ‘Teaching London’, our LDBS teacher training provider. Our intake into Year 3 comes from Hampton Wick Infant and Nursery School (our feeder school). If your child is in Year 2 at Hampton Wick you are automatically allocated a place in Year 3 at St John’s. Applicants for in-year admissions should contact St John’s to see if a place is available. A St John's Supplementary form must be filled in along with Richmond Borough’s Common Application Form. As a Christian school, the Governors believe that a balanced education should encourage the spiritual and moral, as well as the academic, practical, aesthetic, and physical development, of every child in its care. At St John’s we endeavor to provide a broad Christian Education across all aspects of the National Curriculum. We aim to enable each child to become spiritually aware, to recognize and support the multi-faith nature of society, to be understanding, tolerant, and respectful of others, and to develop both a sense of moral responsibility and purpose. Every child is encouraged to develop both a sense of self-respect and self-discipline within a safe and happy environment and to grow into self-motivated adults able to function as full members of society. St John’s is a school that consistently achieves success, not just in academic studies, but also in the Sports and Arts fields. Whatever their talents, every child is welcomed and valued as an individual and is given every opportunity to realize their full potential. At St John the Baptist School we recognize our moral and statutory responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of all children. We endeavor to provide a safe and welcoming environment where children are respected and valued. We are alert to the signs of abuse and neglect and follow our procedures to ensure that children receive effective support, protection, and justice. At St. John The Baptist School we are particularly proud of our inclusive community. We are committed to meeting the needs of all learners and have high expectations for all children including those with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND). All Richmond schools are supported by the local authority to ensure that all pupils make the best possible progress in school and are given the greatest chance to meet their potential. Further information and details of the support for young people and their families regarding SEND can be found in the Local Offer managed by Achieving for Children. We believe that every child can achieve personal excellence. Our task is to ensure they all do. We get to know our children as individuals and our teaching acknowledges this by including classwork, small group work, individual work, and independent study. We deliver a broad, creative, and balanced curriculum, which not only provides essential knowledge and skills but also promotes important spiritual, moral, social, and cultural beliefs. In essence, we aim to prepare all of our pupils to be well-balanced young people, confident in their ‘Go for it!’ attitude ready for the next step in their education as they move up to senior school and on into the rapidly changing world beyond. We follow the most current National Curriculum which was revised and updated in 2014. The curriculum at St John’s CE Junior School has been designed to ensure that children receive a broad, balanced, and creative curricular entitlement. We are very fortunate to have a supportive PTA as part of the St John’s family. Every parent and carer automatically becomes a member of the PTA for the duration of their child's time as a student at St John’s. The PTA is a registered charity and is managed by a committee that is elected each school year. The current PTA Chairperson is Juliet Hartridge and the Treasurer is Lieske Tombokan. Each class has a Class Rep who helps support the committee. The PTA organizes many varied events throughout the school year including school discos, Advent Fair, and Summer Fair, to raise money to support St Johns. They also provide valuable help at school events like Sports Day, Nativity Productions, and Drama Club productions. Over the years, the PTA has provided financial support to enable the school to purchase a new climbing frame, new table-tennis tables for the playground, the landscaping of our new Paradise Garden, Story-Time benches outside the Year 3 classrooms, and school laptops. They also provide regular contributions towards the running of our school minibusses, as well as towards additional class and sports items, and special events held in school for the children. Children at St John’s are eager to learn and are very ably supported by our hardworking, dedicated, and talented staff. In our community, relationships are based on these core values: loving, caring, attitudes concern for the whole person justice, and respect for others. We pride ourselves on offering a friendly, supportive environment where all are treated equally. Whilst we are a church of England Primary School we are here to serve our local community. At St John Baptist School we have a shared mission to nurture a Christian ethos of love and care through our actions, prayers, and reflections. We aim to celebrate and respect the diversity of cultures and beliefs in society to create a safe and challenging learning environment to encourage each individual to reach his or her maximum potential. Our Irresistible Curriculum and Core Values provide an opportunity for all to gain the skills and knowledge necessary to lead happy and successful lives. As a school we look to our values to underpin everything we do – they help to provide our children (and staff) with a ‘moral compass. The Values Education Programme consists of two sets of 11 values to be introduced and developed over a two-year rolling program. Each month a new value is introduced, shared with parents, staff, and children, developed and promoted by all in every aspect of school life Assembly/worship themes are based on the monthly value word (including the exploration of religious festivals and different religions). ‘Thinking Time’ and ‘Silent Reflection’ will be used in addition to prayer in encouraging children to reflect upon the values during assemblies and in classrooms. Circle time and PHSE lessons will be used as formal opportunities to discuss and promote our values within each classroom with informal opportunities being utilized whenever possible, e.g. playtime. In addition, each month a lesson will be planned and delivered focusing solely on that month’s value, from which quality children’s work, often for display, will be expected. Values are displayed in the school entrance, the school hall and within each classroom with ways in which the value might be demonstrated, as discussed with pupils. The Values Education Programme underpins the school’s Collective Worship policy and is also closely linked to PSHE and RE to further promote our values. Our values words for the first year are Friendship, Humility, Independence, Humour, Perseverance, Enthusiasm, Respect, Generosity, Kindness, Forgiveness, Responsibility. For the second year in the cycle, they are Courage, Wisdom, Peace, Confidence, Quality, Appreciation, Honesty, Fairness, Love, Empathy, and Faith. As well as our values, we also teach about British values. See below for links to our British Values statement and values policy. View full school

- We recognize these on Social Media pages and through the Website portal, teacher emails, and newsletters for parents of enrolled students. You will often find stories on awarded students and the College in local and state newspapers. We update our several Honours Boards in the College's foyer every year to celebrate the achievements of that year group and inspire emerging generations. They are too numerous to mention all of them here, but here are some of our students' more recent achievements. The College held its first academic year in 1985, under the original name of Maranatha Christian College. The ambitious initiative got off the ground through the leadership and support of Rockingham Baptist Church. The original vision was to provide Christ-centered education to families in the Rockingham region, and this still forms the foundation of our vision today. SCBC is aligned with the Baptist denomination, which beliefs in one true God: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The teachings of the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments form the doctrinal base. Families do not need to have the Christian faith to attend the College but must support the Christian ethos of the school.
- Welcome to Quinns Baptist College. We are a co-educational school whose mission is to provide a comprehensive education to students to equip them for life in our ever-changing world. Our school motto is taken from Isaiah. "Those who trust in the Lord for help will find their strength renewed. They will rise on wings like eagles: they will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not grow weak." On Eagles' Wings, our motto evokes an image of strength and grace and typifies a God-given ability to rise above the struggles of life. The motto also reflects our aim to provide a comprehensive academic program and a wide range of co-curricular activities and experiences within a safe learning environment. All students are allowed to develop spiritually, intellectually, and physically. They will also develop compassion and care for others and moral integrity to stand them in good stead throughout their adult lives. We aim to equip the students with the skills that will support them through life. Our philosophy is to provide a learning opportunity from each situation the students encounter that will contribute towards each student developing the strategies to face life's challenges. We aim for all students to leave our College being able to: Conduct themselves in a manner that is a credit to their family, themselves, and the College. Respect and comply with the authority of those who are responsible for their care. Demonstrate good behavior that shows care and consideration for others Show courtesy to all members of the community and the wider community Comply with the expectations of the College. Within the framework, students are encouraged to develop: A love for learning and a search for truth Initiative and personal discipline A deep sense of social responsibility Self-esteem An awareness of the personal existence of God. Quinns Baptist College was established in 1996 by the Quinns Baptist Church. It commenced offering Primary classes and grew to cater for students up to Year 12 by 2006. In recent years we have expanded to now offering Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12 education. The College's vision was to offer a high standard of education to the Northern Suburbs in a Christian environment. With the massive expansion of the Northern Corridor, there was a great need for local alternatives to education providers. The school facilities have increased to include over 50 classrooms, two school buses, and an Auditorium that seats 1250 people throughout the years. Our grounds include two Ovals, 2 Libraries, and 3 Playgrounds (including a nature playground). Quinns Baptist College is one of four Schools and one Tertiary College affiliated with Australian Baptist Education. We are proud of the College's growth over the past 20 years, and we are looking forward to future growth in the years to come.
- The school seeks to create a learning environment that is thoughtful, free, sharing, and respectful, rather than competitive, self-serving, and fearful. This provides for the development of an authentic community. The school also seeks to encourage and strengthen Christian families and those families who wish to share the life of the school. Redeemer Baptist School offers a comprehensive range of academic subjects and activities for all ages. The school has consistently obtained high academic achievements in the Higher School Certificate (HSC) and many other State and National competitions. The school is recognized for its clear expectations in teaching and learning. It has a strong focus on its K–12 literacy program using the WRAP—Writing Approach to Reading—instruction method. Redeemer Baptist School, along with other schools and personnel, has been instrumental in introducing this WRAP program to staff in Queensland, NSW, Victoria, SA, and the NT. Senior school students are offered a full range of subject selections, including higher-level subjects such as Mathematics—Extension 2. A particular language program is also provided for students of non-English speaking backgrounds. The school's camping program provides an excellent opportunity for students to experience a range of adventures—canoeing, hiking, swimming—and being challenged in their values and beliefs. The Hills Regional Skills Centre, at our Castle Hill campus, is a Registered Training Organisation providing a Vocational Education program for senior students. The Hills Regional Skills Centre is a cross-sectoral education facility and, as such, is designed to serve Government and Non-government schools alike. Courses offered are Construction Information, Digital Media and Technology Hospitality and Business. While employing a balanced approach to learning with technology, Redeemer Baptist School has pioneered developments within the Design and Technology course, winning many awards. From 1996 - 2008, the school has won State and regional awards in the NSW "Minister's Young Designers Awards" competition. In 2010, a Redeemer student won the Powerhouse Museum award for innovation and design. The school has also gained an excellent reputation in Music and Drama.

- Kennedy Baptist College is a quality coeducational Christian school for students in Years 7 to 12, located in Perth's southern suburb of Murdoch. Kennedy Baptist College was formed in 2013 after the amalgamation of two neighboring Colleges: Winthrop Baptist College and Somerville Baptist College (established 1994 and 1999). It is now home to approximately 1,200 students. Our Mission is to provide educational opportunities for excellence in a Christian context, addressing individuals' needs for lifelong learning. What drives one to step boldly where no one has gone before to overcome obstacles and achieve great things against all odds? The strength of character is integral to greatness, character born of a spirit of determination and values. Kennedy Baptist College believes one's strength of character needs to be nurtured. Kennedy Baptist College was formed in 2013 to provide quality Christian secondary co-education that nurtures students' confidence and character. The College's namesake, WA pioneer Baptist Minister William Kennedy, overcame seemingly insurmountable challenges to establish churches in Western Australia's regional areas in the early 1900s. Kennedy was known as a man of integrity and audacity by the communities he served, and his passion and determination were infectious. At Kennedy Baptist College, students are expected to strive for personal excellence in all that they do. This translates to a positive learning environment where students must display high standards of behavior reinforced by an exceptional Pastoral Care Program. It is the spirit of Kennedy's story that underpins the College's values and inspires students to 'strive today, conquer tomorrow.' Armed with the strength of character and Christian values, Kennedy graduates will be equipped to seize life's opportunities. At Kennedy Baptist College, all students are expected to strive for personal excellence in all that they do. We provide a broad-based and relevant curriculum, which represents a holistic approach to the students' education under our care. Our goal is to offer students a wide range of opportunities to develop their understanding and knowledge of the world around them and foster their God-given talents and abilities. Our graduates need to be prepared for the rapidly changing and technology-centered world they are now a part of. Our curriculum is designed to encourage creativity, flexibility, problem-solving, and collaboration, all necessary attributes of a 21st-century learner. Students in Years 7 to 10 follow the Western Australian Curriculum and Assessment Outline, an adaptation of the Australian curriculum, as prescribed by the Schools Curriculum and Standards Authority. Students in these year groups also have the opportunity to choose from a diverse range of elective subjects. Students in Years 11 and 12 work towards the Western Australian Certificate of Education in either an ATAR (University Entry) pathway or a more vocationally-oriented General pathway, including several VET (Vocational Education and Training) options. As most students at Kennedy Baptist College enter university after Year 12, the College has a curriculum that extends and enriches students throughout Years 7 to 10 through exposure to curriculum content above their year level.
- Our Purpose To provide an authentic Christian education that equips students to be the best that they can and enables them to impact their world. Our Vision is to create an educational community that is being transformed by the Truth of God's Word, nurturing, and equipping each person for life. Our College Values are GROWING spiritually, gifts and talents, knowledge, experience, love. Relationships, displaying resilience and perseverance, God's kingdom, character, identity in Christ for one another, serving our community, respecting our environment. GBC is a growing school with friendly students, caring staff, and a commitment to developing authentic relationships with our community. We want all students to thrive and reach their God-given potential. To this end, we aim to provide an education that matters, one that challenges, one that encourages, and one that seeks to build into all areas of their lives – spiritual, academic, physical, and social. We believe in Learning that is transformed by Truth. Do not conform to this world's pattern, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is – his good, pleasing, and perfect will. GBC students grow in their understanding of their own identity and continually explore their world from a Christian worldview. They also develop critical thinking skills and grow in their knowledge of who God is to them. We believe in giving students more ownership of their Learning and providing many opportunities to serve the College and the local and broader community as they continue to find their place and value. Our College is always open for visits, and I welcome the opportunity to speak to you about how we can partner with you in your child's educational journey. In 2000, in temporary accommodation, on the grounds of the Kalgoorlie Baptist Church in the center of Kalgoorlie, the College grew steadily until, in due course, the current site was purchased from the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder and the first Building was completed. By the time the College opened the new campus in November 2004, the Stage II facilities were already too limited. As a stop-gap-measure, three transportable buildings were added to facilitate the administration center, a library, and a computer center. In Mid 2005, the Stage II building was begun.

- Our Vision To provide a high-quality Christ-centered education to equip children to live as authentic servants of Jesus Christ. Mission Statement To enable the children to take their place in the community as witnesses to the power of God in their individual lives. Encourage the children to reach their potential academically, socially, and physically. In partnership with home and church, each child will be encouraged to have a relationship with Jesus Christ and be equipped to serve Him in the community. Through a blending of academic instruction, physical activity, and social interaction, all based on a Christian worldview, the school's programs will be implemented, evaluated, and designed to meet children's individual needs. GBCCS has two separate Chapel services. Secondary students enjoy Chapel on Monday afternoon, while on Tuesday mornings at 9 am, primary children meet to worship God. Chapel services are contemporary. Each week, teachers and guest speakers share the gospel message in an exciting and meaningful manner. The children worship God in praise, and students pray and read from God's Word. The chapel is a highlight of the week for children and parents. In 1985, Greenacre Baptist Christian Community School commenced as a primary school on the church site in Shellcote Road in Greenacre. Greenacre Baptist Church had the Vision to provide a Christian education for primary students to prepare the children for secondary education at nearby Christian Community High School. The church had a large enclosed land area that it had secured in the 1970s that would prove to be an ideal playground. In that initial year, there were two classes with Mrs. Kathleen Toussaint as the founding principal. The following year this increased to four classes, indicating the early success of the school.
- The College provides opportunities for students to maximize their potential personally and academically. The College aims to develop in students and deliver to society young people who can discern what is right, developing the knowledge and skills to commit themselves to action for a better society. The ability to demonstrate initiative, self-discipline, integrity, and compassion in their life style. The ability to withstand peer, and other pressures, demonstrating resilience. That students are prepared to work hard and strive for success in personal life, further education, and employment. That students have had the opportunity to discover the truth of the Gospel of Jesus as well as the nature of God. That student may choose to have a relationship with Him, living in the service of God. Geelong Baptist College is committed to the following principles outlined in the College aims, motto, and core values. The College Affirmation is an amalgamation of these principles. At Geelong Baptist College, we are genuinely interested in each student's well-being, and we aim to see students reach their full potential academically, physically, and spiritually. We hope that every student will be exposed to a wide range of educational experiences while at the College. Students will be encouraged to use every opportunity to develop their skills and talents safely and in a caring environment. Students will be exposed to new challenges throughout their time at the College, and new expectations will be placed upon them. It is essential for students to receive a well-balanced education and to be challenged both within the classroom academically as well as outside the mainstream classroom. These opportunities and challenges are designed to build character and help to develop students for the world outside the College. As a College, we know that the relationship and partnerships forged between home and the school are paramount to our success as parents and educators. We seek to maximize the teaching and learning opportunities for each child through creating and maintaining safe, happy environments where there is an atmosphere conducive to learning. For this reason, we seek to encourage parents and staff to pursue effective ways of building and maintaining open lines of communication. As a professional team of educators and administrators, we are here to serve in an environment in which teachers have the opportunity to teach, and students have the right to learn. Our core values are synonymous with those of the beautiful families who have chosen to send their children to Geelong Baptist. As a community, our commitment to each child's holistic development Academically, Physically, Emotionally, and Spiritually is significant. Geelong Baptist College is a growing community with approximately 300 students across the Primary and Secondary campuses. We encourage all to see our educational community as "Two Schools yet One College" – a College in which students can journey from Foundation right through to graduation after Year Twelve. The benefit of an extended and personal journey of this nature cannot be underestimated. We are acutely aware that your child's education decisions are difficult to make yet are amongst the most important decisions you will make as a parent.
- Our vision is to evangelize our community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to see believers firmly established in the truth (2 Peter 1:12). We desire to speak the truth in love and to earnestly contend for the faith which was once for all entrusted to the saints (Jude 3). We believe that God has given the Church a Great Commission to proclaim the Gospel to all nations. This requires the local church to proclaim the Gospel in its locality and support missions worldwide. At Faith Baptist Church, we believe the church is a living body, with every member having a part to play. God has uniquely gifted every believer, and we seek to provide opportunities for every believer's gifts to be fanned into flame as we participate in church life together. We believe the Lord Jesus Christ is the Head of the church and is led by a plurality of elders who pastor the church. The Bible uses the terms "elders," "pastors," and "overseers" or "bishops" interchangeably. A full statement of our church's doctrinal position is available on request. Our vision is to evangelize our community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to see believers firmly established in the truth. We desire to speak the truth in love and to earnestly contend for the faith which was once for all entrusted to the saints. We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be the verbally and plenary inspired Word of God. In the original languages, the Scriptures are inerrant, infallible, and God-breathed, and therefore are the final authority for faith and life. The sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments are the complete and divine revelation of God to man. The Scriptures shall be interpreted according to their ordinary grammatical-historical meaning.
