Maranatha strives today to fulfill its long-standing mission of developing leaders for ministry in the local church and the world “To the Praise of His Glory.” Students can choose from 33 majors, 35 minors, eight associates degrees, and a Master of Education in Teaching and Leading and a Master of Organizational Leadership. In addition to the University, Maranatha Baptist Seminary offers seven graduate degrees, including the Master of Divinity and the Doctor of Ministry in Preaching and Leading. Courses were taught to a combined 1,414 students through the University, Seminary, and Maranatha Online during the 2017-2018 academic year. We seek to grow Godly adolescents who are equipped to cope in the society they live in. Our focus is on individual students reaching their potential and discovering their unique gifts. Year 9 is the foundation year, with students prepared for the challenges that lie ahead. There is a focus on organization, developing good work habits, and study techniques. In Year 10 and 11, students have the opportunity to take a subject above their year level, giving them a taste of what is required in the years that follow. We offer VCE and VCAL in order to meet the individual needs of all students. Our VCE program offers a wide range of subjects with low-class numbers. Year 11 and 12 VCE students have supervised study periods to ensure they make the most of their time at school. VCAL caters to students who are looking for a more "hands on" learning experience.
