  1. Lycée Français Saint Louis in Stockholm was established in 1959 and receives 698 pupils during the academic year 2019-2020 in the international part of the school, from “CP” to “Terminale”. These students, aged 6 to 18, follow the French curriculum, the same as in French schools in France. The younger children are received in a Swedish “Preschool”, which has no agreement with AEFE and is attended by approximately 60 children. These children can later continue to the first class in the school, CP. Lycée Français Saint Louis – is an “International School” approved by the Swedish state, and consists of low and middle school, upper secondary school, and high school. The low and middle school (CP to CM2) welcomes 329 students in 16 classes, the upper secondary school (from the 6ème to the 3ème) welcomes 239 students in 10 different classes, and the high school (from 2nd to Terminale) welcomes 130 high school students in 6 different classes. The teaching provided is in line with all French schools in the AEFE network, ie a French-language education that respects the French National Ministry of Education’s curriculum, schedule, and regulations. At the school, the “Le Diplôme National du Brevet” is being prepared during the final year of secondary school and “Le Baccalauréat” for general education – with the specialization L, ES, and S, and the Swedish OIB, with an approved diploma, during the last year of high school. Students with Swedish as their mother tongue can also study for a Swedish upper secondary school diploma and obtain a Swedish final grade (Slutbetyg). For a long time, the Lycée Français Saint Louis has obtained excellent exam results. In 2019, 100% of candidates obtained their “Baccalauréat” (Lycée) of which more than 41% with the result “very good” or “good”. 99.8% of the candidates obtained the “Diplôme National de Brevet” (Collège) of which more than 68% with the mention “very good”. These excellent results, which are among the best of International French schools around the world, attest to the high quality of the education at our school. With its agreement with l’Agence pour l’Enseignement Français à l’Étranger, (AEFE), the Lycée Français Saint Louis is part of a network of 496 similar schools in 137 different countries around the world. At AEFE’s schools, more than 355,000 students are studying, of which 40% are French and 60% come from other countries. The Headmaster, Laurent Cantuel, and the Director of the Low and Middle School, Maël Renault, are expatriated Frenchmen and employees of AEFE. The school is governed by Swedish law, through the Lycée Français Saint Louis Foundation in Stockholm, with Henrik Hansson as chairman of the board and Yves Chantereau as vice-chairman. The teaching is carried out by qualified teachers from France, as well as by local staff, certified French or Swedish teachers. All students are taught Swedish from first grade and Swedish teaching continues in primary and secondary school. It allows the students to transition to the local education system or to further their education in Sweden after obtaining their diplomas. Lycée Français Saint Louis has the status of an International School approved by the Swedish National Agency for Education.
  2. Top-quality education is a gift for life. Engelska Skolan Norr AB was founded in 1993 to offer its students the very best quality bilingual education. The school has a highly multicultural student body and staff. We are all united by a passionate commitment to shared human values, and achieving excellence. The school works to help every child realize their highest potential both academically and as human beings. It is our gift to them. And, as they carry it forward into their future lives, their gift to us. The school was the first in Sweden to provide a bilingual program, which teaches the Swedish curriculum but with half of all lessons conducted in English. Ninth-grade students also have the opportunity to prepare for, and graduate with, the Cambridge exam in the English language. Excellence is also the benchmark for teaching staff, who have to speak both Swedish and English. In Sweden, recruiting qualified teachers with degrees from more than one university is a challenge. However, all teachers at Engelska Skolan Norr have been through higher education and many have attended multiple colleges or universities. View full school

  6. Our vision is to inspire individuals to be the best they can contribute to the world around them and grow into men of character. We are committed to providing an education that enables every boy to fulfill his potential - whether in the classroom, on the stage, or the sports field. We believe education is a holistic experience that should celebrate the creative, physical, and spiritual as well as the intellectual. We want boys to leave the school with an assured set of values, we want them to believe they can truly make a difference in the society we want boys to leave with things that are going to matter to them for the rest of their lives. Campbell College Kindergarten & Junior School is a unique learning environment where boys are inspired, not just by the history and beauty of the surroundings, but by the magic of the place. Within a caring and nurturing family ethos, diversity is celebrated and our boys are challenged to be the best they can be. We use many keys to unlock each child's potential. When you join our Junior School Family, you become part of something very special. It is the first chapter of an exciting, life-long learning adventure as part of the Campbell Community. We extend a warm welcome to you to come and visit our school and experience, at first hand, a school that makes young lives extraordinary. Campbell College is committed to providing an education designed to enable all boys to discover their strengths, and to make the most out of their talents within Campbell and beyond. When we see a student, we do not see a grade or a label we see an individual, with potential, and we must add value by helping them achieve academic success and appreciate the joy of learning to learn. Our ethos in Senior School is all about inspiring individuals to be the best they can be. This mantra was not something we plucked out of the air - we asked our parents, pupils, and staff - past and present - to provide three words they believed best described Campbell College. Campbell College first opened its doors in 1894 thanks to philanthropist Henry James Campbell and has been educating boys from all over the world ever since. The stunning 100-acre woodland campus sits on the edge of Belfast and the original redbrick Victorian building remains a striking centerpiece of the College today. Home to over 1200 boys aged 3-18, the College has added state-of-the-art facilities throughout its existence but the ethos remains true to the intentions of its founder. Respect, service, and leadership. With a Junior School, Senior School and a thriving international Boarding department the College represents one of the leading Boarding and Day Schools on the Island of Ireland. Our motto Ne Obliviscaris is born out of a history of leadership and service reflected particularly during the two world wars and our Royal Charter status was presented in 1951 in honor of those we lost. 12. The decision to create an American type education in Monterrey began at a meeting of parents at the Monterrey Foreign Club, on the night of June 28, 1928. The school opened on September 3, 1928, at 724 Hidalgo Street, with a Principal/teacher and two other teachers caring for the educational needs of 57 pupils ranging from primary to tenth grade. The school was organized under Mexican law as a private civil society and received its charter on October 13, 1928. During the 1936-37 school year the location of the American School moved to an address on Bolivar (now Padre Mier) between Pino Suárez and Rayón. After June 1938, it moved again to the site of the Old Country Club in Obispado. In April 1944, the school was re-established under the name of The American School Foundation of Monterrey as a non-profit society, founded by four individuals. These individuals were joined some months later by one other person and thirteen companies, who then comprised the Founders. Eton students will be capable of pursuing their life choices with commitment and joy, contributing to their community, their country, and the world. Empowering minds and hearts. At Eton School, we create a culture of inquiry. Students are involved in sustained research of topics worthy of their interest, knowledge, and understanding. Inborn dispositions are supported and strengthened by an integrated interdisciplinary curriculum that is connected to students’ interests, experiences, talents, and the real world. Understanding is constructed through research and application. Skills are not ends in themselves they are applied in the service of intellectual endeavors. Optimal learning and problem solving occur when people feel safe and connected. At Eton, we create a warm and positive school climate, promote social-emotional intelligence, and foster self-confidence and independence. Undoubtedly, an aspect that is notable in our School and that characterizes our institution is how we prepare our environments to make them worthy of our students. Our spaces are a source of provocation and inspiration. From the simple arrangement of class material to the construction of a room, an educational purpose is envisioned. We incorporate nature into our atmosphere so that our students appreciate it, become sensitive to its elements, and are motivated to become responsible for their planet. Other areas were designed for our students to be inspired to read and write, to be able to express themselves through the arts, to gain composure, to stay connected with their families, to promote the meeting, communicating, and building relationships, and to be able to explore the power within their bodies. Such an arrangement of our learning environment can only reflect our conception of children as capable beings, who benefit from relying on surroundings where their human potential can be enriched. Our Elementary program consists of an interdisciplinary curriculum taught both in English and Spanish. Inquiry-based learning and the acquisition of solid academic skills are emphasized so that students can continue to develop their growing intellect and acquire strong foundations that will enable them to achieve academic success. Both first-hand experiences and the use of technology are intertwined into our curriculum so that children can learn through a wide variety of experiences and media. Students are encouraged to represent their understanding in diverse ways. In Elementary we continue fostering social and emotional well-being, as we help our students develop the abilities and awareness they need to achieve inner balance and establish harmonious relationships. Students are encouraged to develop their interests and talents. Student progress is monitored to assess individual growth and to successfully meet national and international standards. Eton School sets high expectations as we go beyond borders to deliver a rigorous, international education that fosters independence through critical and creative thinking. As an International Baccalaureate World School since 1995, we are a leader school in global education in Mexico City. At Eton School, we offer the Middle Years Programme (MYP) from Grades 7 to 10 Our students are also committed to the Mexican curricular programs and standards from the Secretaría de Educación Pública (SEP), and the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). 16. Puebla American School Foundation was founded by Anne Jenkins de Buntzler on September 1, 1942, with the support of Dr. Feland Meadows, Jr., to meet the needs of the American families living in Puebla. The school opened formally on February 1, 1943, in a rented house on Avenue 17 Poniente 901 with an enrollment of 75 students. Puebla American School Foundation is a space where minds grow in an atmosphere of freedom. Our students learn to be critical thinkers, creative problem-solvers, skilled users of technology, and clear communicators in both Spanish and English. Respect, responsibility, and integrity are the essential values that shape our students as citizens of the world who will make positive contributions to their community and make the world a better place. We respect human diversity and individuality, gender, age, nationality, race, creed, religion, physical and socioeconomic condition, political belief, sexual orientation, and ethnic and cultural origin. We form students who are responsible for and accept the consequences of their actions, understand different realities, and create opportunities to contribute solutions to social and environmental problems. We aim to strengthen integrity through a culture of truthfulness and honesty. Our culture of truth and honesty aims to strengthen integrity and shape behaviors that are in keeping with the values of the School and the individual. Our commitment to education transmits enthusiasm for life-long learning, and we accept the challenge of working towards excellence. A great deal of the success of our mission, vision, and values is due to our community of supportive and cooperative parents. We foster understanding and communication with them in the academic, psychological, physical, social, and ethical aspects that are vital to their students’ formation. Our students become aware of their commitment to society through participation in several projects and campaigns. In the lower grades, home and school are the focus in the upper grades, the focus shifts to a more personal commitment to particular communities. We use a variety of learning strategies to provide our students with the tools they need to develop behavioral habits and attitudes to take care of themselves. During the school year, we offer talks and information on a variety of health topics for all ages. Our students gain an awareness of environmental issues to use natural resources wisely, have a better quality of life, and promote strategies for sustainable development within their sphere of influence. The International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program (PYP)accredits our bilingual program. The program focuses on the development of the whole child, taking care of his physical, emotional, and cultural needs. At the same time, it offers the student a solid ground in the main areas of knowledge: Mathematics, Social Science, Theater, Language, Music, Visual Arts, Science and Technology, and personal, social, and physical education. We offer a relevant and meaningful curriculum with both a local and a global focus. The philosophy of the PYP program is expressed in a series of attributes that characterize the students with an international-mindedness that allows them to take awareness in the points of view of people from other parts of the world. This program develops our students’ skills in inquiry, effective communication, and critical and creative thinking while fostering such attitudes as tolerance, respect, and responsibility. Together these attributes form the PYP learner profile. Our Junior High School is incorporated into the Secretary of Public Education (SEP) and was approved to teach the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Program (MYP) on April 3, 2006. The MYP program is designed by the International Baccalaureate for students ages 11 to 16. The MYP follows the Primary Years Program (PYP) and lays a solid foundation for the Diploma Program. It is a complete and coherent program that offers a challenging framework of age- and level-appropriate academics and life skills. In our school, MYP goes from the 1st year of Junior High School through the 1st year of High School and fosters in the students a responsible attitude through a combination of educational experiences and, the development of academic, social, and critical thinking skills. Students learn best when their learning experiences have context and refer to the world they know. They “learn how to learn” and they apply classroom learnings to daily life situations. Our programs provide them with discipline and challenges to foster their growth. Our goal for our students is for them to lead-free and responsible lives starting in adolescence. This program is offered by the College Board and is geared towards students with an international perspective, especially those who either do their high school studies or plan to do their undergraduate work, outside of the United States. This program’s standard of excellence spans the globe AP International Diploma students are awarded scholarships and admission to colleges and universities around the world. To develop skill, coordination, character, and teamwork through artistic and sports activities, and to foster good habits, attitudes, and values that promote self-discipline. Students from Kinder 2 through High School are welcome to take part in these activities at no additional cost. View full school

  18. The Edron Academy (El Colegio Britanico, A.C.) is the leading British-Mexican school in the country. With over a thousand pupils, it is a co-educational school, from pre-nursery to eighteen years old, committed to modern and progressive education. We shape the leaders of tomorrow. It is a not-for-profit school where all funds support pupil learning. Founded in 1963, by Edward Foulkes and Ronald Stech, the school was established with a unique vision: to create a learning community in which every child was safe, happy, and successful. The vision lives on today, in the form of our Edron Values. Over the years, the School has built on these fundamental values, whilst adapting the change and expansion. In 1985, it moved from San Angel to its present site in a pleasant residential area, close to the forested hills of Desierto de Los Leones. It achieved its bi-cultural status at this time and was incorporated within the Mexican Ministry of Education. In 1995, Edron became an IB World School as it established an approved program of IB Diploma subjects for Sixth Form study to complement its extensive provision of IGCSE subjects at Key Stage 4.Accredited by the Council of British International School (COBIS) and inspected by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI), the Edron Academy is proud of its past, focused on its present and ambitious about its future. We believe that every child has unique abilities and talents and that every child is capable of great things. We see your child as an individual who can thrive in an environment that is safe, happy, and successful. We ingrain respect in everything we do, fundamental to a secure sense of self and an intent to be the best we can in everything we do. Our students are global citizens, taught in a bi-lingual and bi-cultural context, and encouraged to be creative and self-assured future leaders. Internationally minded, we live by endurable standards and shared values, where every individual is valued for the contribution they make to our society. The Edron Academy seeks to be the best British-Mexican school in the country. It is a unique place: a bi-lingual and bi-cultural school that seeks to achieve excellence in all its activities. Throughout The Edron Academy educational journey, we develop a clear set of distinctive Core Values, within and beyond the classroom. We wish our students to be empathetic, to show drive and ambition, to have respect, to be optimistic, and to have the nerve to take measured risks in life´s endeavors. Welcome to the Lower School section of The Edron Academy Webpage. I hope that you can use these pages to understand some of the wonderful work that takes place here at the school and learns a little about what a wonderful place The Edron Academy is to study. Our aim is for our students to be confident, self-assured but respectful, demonstrating a love of learning and hard work whilst enjoying the challenge of new studies. We also want students to feel secure and valued by all members of the school community. This is achieved through a holistic approach that develops the whole child and not purely focusing on academic achievements. Each year group has a maximum class size of twenty-four students in primary school and eighteen in Kinder school. Each class has both an English and Spanish-speaking teacher. As a bi-cultural school, the children work with both the Mexican SEP curriculum and the National Curriculum for England and Wales. The children are taught using a cross-curricular approach, which means that English skills are taught through topics such as ´Ancient Civilisations´ or ´Inventors´. This method ensures learning in context and generates a great deal of enthusiasm, providing opportunities for writing, mathematics, and other subjects. Key Stage 3 is a time where students study a wide range of subjects from the British National Curriculum and the Mexican SEP Curriculum. Learning is usually inquiry based and various projects will be undertaken. We have taken the opportunity to introduce Higher-Performance Learning and promote the values of a growth mindset. There are also opportunities for interdisciplinary topics. At IGCSE students study core subjects such as Maths, Science, English, and Spanish plus elective subjects ranging from Music, Drama, and Art to Economics, Sociology, or French. There is an element of choice that allows for deeper study into specific academic areas. The IGCSE program culminates in Year 11 with a series of exams and coursework submissions. Students must pass at least 5 IGCSEs to be admitted into the IB program in Year 12. Each year students nervously await their results in mid-August and our current pass rate for the 5 IGCSE exams is at 90%. The Bilingual IB Diploma is an academically challenging program that is fantastic preparation for University entrance. Our students must take 6 subjects including English, Spanish, Social Science, Natural Science, Maths and a further elective subject. Students must also complete a 4,000-word essay on a topic of their choice plus make an oral presentation and a 1,600-word essay on Theory of Knowledge. They must also take part in sustained Creativity, Activity and Service activities. View full school

  20. Forty years ago, five families asked themselves the question: What would be the best school for our family? They considered that the objectives of other schools were insufficient and considered it beneficial to start a new school. This way, in September 1978 we began with less than 100 students from 1º grade Kindergarten to 4th-grade Elementary under the name Liceo de Monterrey™, that operates through Centros Educativos y Culturales A.C. We are a school comprised of families who educate our children and students with the highest standards of international academic excellence and provide Christian humanism formation for them to become leaders who influence and serve society. To become an international reference of education of women with character, critical thinking, and Christian vision so they can become protagonists of their personal development to reach high ideals and serve society. Boys and girls think, behave and mature differently. All-girls education achieves greater academic performance as well as fosters self-esteem, confidence, and the formation of the person based on their essence. This model facilitates the personalization of education according to men's and women’s different paces in maturity and learning, favoring real equality of opportunities. All-girls education is a reality in many countries of our socio-cultural setting, and it is recognized by UNESCO and the European Union. It is scientifically proven that boys’ brain development follows a different process that catches up during adulthood. At age 6, a boy has half the attention span of a girl. (Leonard Sax, NASSPE National association for single sex public education).Differences between the maturity pace in men and women (Retrieved from the Differentiated Education Guide from María Calvo Charro) Our program comprises pedagogical innovation and the use of technology at the service of learning. It provides our students with access to a comprehensive technological ecosystem to achieve greater learning and abilities developed through innovative instructional practices such as challenge and project-based learning. After completing a project, students acquire meaningful learning experiences. Our students for 1º to 6º grade in Elementary study under the SEP program which is enriched with Music, Robotics, Sports and Dance, Home Economics, Religion, and Life and Identity classes. In 4º grade Elementary, students audition for the school band, and from this point until 9º grade, they focus on the study and mastery of one musical instrument. Our students from 7º to 9º grade in Junior High study under the SEP program which is enriched with Music, Robotics, Sports and Dance, Home Economics, Religion, and Life and Identity classes. Our students in Prepa Liceo study under the International Baccalaureate (IB) program with the choice of sitting the corresponding IB examinations to obtain the International Baccalaureate Diploma when they graduate. This program provides our students with the tools to achieve global and deep knowledge so they can stand out in traditional academic subjects. Student Societies: Leadership activities, social interaction, integration, and community service are fostered by our four societies. General Objective: To ensure our students acquire skills and habits and use them as tools for life to guide and help them become self-sufficient and confident. To be capable of working individually and as part of a group and learn school protocol that allows them to take full advantage of their future school years, as well as to integrate and belong to a community, in an environment of care and caring in which they enjoy their first years playing, learning and being happy. 22. Greengates, a British International School, is a multi-cultural community committed to inspiring all individuals to reach their full potential in every aspect of life. We encourage our students to develop character, self-discipline, respect, and reflection in a challenging learning environment that honors individual differences. At Greengates we act with integrity and seek to motivate our students to become socially responsible citizens while achieving academic excellence. We provide the tools for our students to acquire knowledge We equip our students not only to earn their living but also to live creatively and happily in the world they must inherit We nurture our students in a caring, friendly, and enjoyable atmosphere within a safe environment We rigorously recruit teachers who contribute to our academic excellence We promote the active participation of the more than 50 nationalities represented to create a respectful and well-balanced worldview We seek to achieve sustainability and increasingly become an eco-friendly environment school We place great value on athletic performance and artistic creativity as a means for our students to be able to express themselves From Form I to Form III, the program is predominantly based on the UK National Curriculum. Students study a wide variety of subjects to enable them to encounter a whole range of educational experiences. The main focus of the curriculum is the development of English, arithmetic, and Spanish. However, students will also study science, history, geography, French, art, information technology, physical education, music, drama, and personal, social, and health education (PSHE). In these year groups, students who had been receiving English support but no longer require extra classes will either begin to study French or, if deemed more suitable by the English Support Department, information technology research and presentation skills. In Form II and Form III, students who are in the early stages of studying Spanish may opt to take additional Spanish classes instead of French. In Forms IV and V, Greengates students follow a variety of balanced and demanding two-year courses leading to the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE). This system is based on the British General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) where students are examined in a broad range of subjects at the age of sixteen. IGCSE examinations are tests of academic attainment and are taken in individual subjects. Currently, at Greengates there are around 20 subjects offered. Greengates requires that a student be successful in at least five IGCSEs to continue into the Sixth Form. Students at the end of Form III select their IGCSE options and are helped to make their choices by their subject and form teachers, the Head of the Intermediate School, and the IGCSE Coordinator. English Language, Spanish Language, Mathematics and Physical Education are compulsory subjects which all students take. Students then select five options from such areas of the curriculum as the Sciences, the Social Sciences, and Creative Arts. The aim is that students take a broad range of subjects which will intellectually test and develop them as fully as possible. Students then follow a two-year course of study in Forms IV and V based on the IGCSE syllabi which are determined by UCLES. At the end of the two years, students are entered for the relevant examinations. These examinations are prepared and marked by UCLES, who subsequently issue the grades. These, therefore, are external public examinations. The International version of the GCSE originated with the University of Cambridge Examinations Syndicate (UCLES) and is ideal for such a culturally diverse school as Greengates. UCLES has a reputation for academic excellence and has unrivaled experience in administering examinations in over 100 countries. Some Greengates students do take some subjects early, and not at the end of Form V. At Greengates we have consistently enjoyed great success in Mathematics and Spanish as a Foreign Language achieving 100% pass-rates with students in Form IV and even Form III. Senior Physical Education aims to teach the students the fundamentals of a wide range of sports and activities in the hope that they develop an interest and wish to continue taking part in that sport or activity outside P.E. classes. Activities including football (soccer), rugby, basketball, volleyball, health-related fitness, swimming, softball, and hockey. Pupils will also have the opportunity to take part in various house games, swimming galas, and sports days throughout the school year. House captains will be selected at the beginning of the year and they will be responsible for helping P.E.teachers organize their teams. The P.E. department has an extensive afternoon activity program that runs throughout the whole school year. We aim to give the children a large variety of activities and sports teams. The various sports and age groups will run on different terms throughout the year to allow all students the opportunity to take part. Sports include football (soccer), rugby, basketball, swimming, softball, tennis, cross country, and volleyball. View full school
