- The mission of Korea International Christian School is to equip our students to become Truly God’s People to impact the world for the kingdom of God. We believe the world was created by the direction of God. Therefore, the meaning of all life and existence can be explained in the context of God’s creation and plan of salvation. In addition, we believe that God has given man the responsibility to rear children, teach his goodness, and have dominion over the earth, sky, and sea by the principles of the Bible. Therefore, the Korea International Christian School educates students with obedience to the authority of the Word of God in all academics and life. All new students must be vaccinated legitimately before enrollment is approved by the Republic of Korea Ministry of Health and must prove their worth on paper. Students at the school can be given the medicine only if prescribed by a physician. However, the school can give students medicine in case of minor illnesses. The ultimate purpose of the Christian education is to make a disciple of Christ. The Bible has given that authority only to church and home. Therefore, Christian education must be carried out by biblically structured churches and Christian homes. The effort of KICS is to educate students to become “Truly God’s People.” Through using the curriculums deeply rooted in a biblical worldview, KICS provides an atmosphere for students to learn to glorify God, be grateful for their salvation, and come to the full realization of their tasks. The classes of KICS are conducted in English using the curriculums from Bob Jones University in the US. KICS raises Christian leaders who work for glorifying God only through biblical textbooks and curriculum from Bob Jones University which is a Christian prestigious university. At this time most of the education in Korea is done by public schools and there are few Christian schools however there is no school that is run by Christian faculty, biblical textbook, and curriculum. These days it is said that children who believe in God do not grow as God’s children and break their belief due to secular education such as humanism and evolution theorem. In America, many people already received education from a traditional Christian school and live life as a Christian. Many people are the leaders of society and live as a disciple of Jesus. Therefore, even in Korea, there should be many Christian schools like KICS that educated truly God’s people. So KICS starts a movement called “717 movements” which is to establish 700 Christian schools, 1 million prayer supporters, and 70 Christian leaders. To spread Christian education and culture through 717 movements, we need many co-workers for this ministry and support by prayer and material. We can not do it by ourselves. We are recruiting 1 million material supporters and 1 million prayer supporters. View full school

- The British Education Korea Group currently operates across four sites in Seoul offering the English National Curriculum, with some adaptations to suit the local environment, including Mandarin for all children from nurseries upwards. Places are currently offered to students from 18 months up to Year 8. Each campus has its distinctive ethos which, with the support of the local community, has evolved. However, all our locations share our common aims and values. The group encourages every child to be the best they can be with support and guidance offered at all stages of each student's journey to the senior school of their choice. We firmly believe that effective partnerships with parents are critical in developing each child’s leadership, confidence, and creativity, as well as a strong academic performance. This is all achieved by recruiting excellent teaching staff who place the welfare of the children at the heart of everything they do. The ultimate aim is to ensure that every child in our care is happy and has the absolute best possible start in life in preparation for a happy and successful future in the 21st Century. Education is about much more than studying and passing exams. At British Education Korea we believe that our children should experience a unique character-molding journey, a ‘preparation’ for the next stage of their lives. As well as entry to excellent senior schools in Korea, Asia, and the UK, we will help our pupils develop the tools needed to meet the challenges of the working world and with the confidence to address the inevitable challenges they will face. The key to good schools is good teachers. We always look for professional, passionate people who care about helping every child be the best they can be. The art of inquiry is the most natural gift we all possess. As humans, we are innately curious so it makes sense to tap into the natural curiosities of children to help them to learn. The British National Curriculum, which is the foundation of all our lessons across all age groups. One of the main advantages of an inquiry approach to learning is that it makes students active learners. Active learners recall information, engage in the process of understanding the concepts their learning is based on, and retain information for much longer. The steps to an inquiry approach to learning are rooted in setting up or posing questions that engage learners. The questions used are driven by National Curriculum objectives, but as students become older and more adept at driving their learning, many of the inquiry questions are posed by the students. Curriculum content naturally flows from one subject area to the other as studies are integrated and interrelated. The teacher set up the inquiry by locating the curriculum objectives within subject-specific content and shaping the information into a scheme of work. This allows students to create an end product. The teacher’s role is essential in designing activities that activate prior knowledge. Students learn best when they are active learns that ask questions, investigate solutions, create new knowledge as they gather information, discuss their discoveries and experiences and reflect on new knowledge. Learning is not based on teacher-directed lessons or recall. Students are learning the skills to synthesize, interpret and evaluate. Throughout the inquiry, students are assessed for content knowledge. An authentic assessment task is the preferred assessment type. This ensures that data that is gathered relates only to a student’s new knowledge as it relates to the objective of the inquiry. We are fortunate to have purpose-built facilities and to be in the heart of the exciting and dynamic city of Seoul. Our indoor and outdoor learning spaces provide children with the opportunity to interact with and appreciate nature. This is designed to help the children develop a deep understanding of everyone’s role to care for our world. In our program design, we recognize that an integrated community of diverse people is fundamental to a successful education great facilities and curriculum attracts committed and experienced teachers who are passionately attached to molding young minds and to serving their community. Our teachers come from a variety of countries, bringing with them substantial early years and international teaching experience. Our faculty seeks to nurture and develop the 'whole child' by providing experiences that enhance a child’s cognitive and affective domains. Our teachers are responsive to children’s unique abilities and they design plans for the individual learning needs of our children. We believe that what defines our early year's program is the ability to link the best teachers with a responsive curriculum, in a caring environment. The British Pre-Prep, Bundang House features an integrated learning environment specially designed to stimulate the learning and development of young children from 18 months upwards. The environment is culturally diverse with a wonderful mix of Korean and expatriate families. The children are therefore immersed in an international environment ensuring that children pick up languages spontaneously through a range of meaningful learning experiences in diversity. They learn how to respect diverse traditions and interact with teachers and friends from other nationalities. We offer the renowned inquiry-based approach to learning where children’s ideas, interests, and theories inform the design of curriculum experiences. We encourage young children to explore their environment and express themselves using multiple ways of learning. During a child’s time at The British Pre-Prep, they will learn how to connect their innate curiosity to understand the world they live in. They will be inspired to become innovative leaders who are capable, resilient, and caring. Upon graduation, our children will be given a variety of school choices to extend their learning. Korea University Graduate School of International Studies
EduCativ posted a university in South Korea
Established in 1991, Korea University's Graduate School of International Studies (KUGSIS) is a leading academic institution in educating and nurturing young experts specialized in international affairs. Since its beginning, KUGSIS has been preparing students to serve as productive members of their organizations and play leadership roles in the international community. Students at KUGSIS—whether they specialize in International Commerce, International Development & Cooperation, International Peace & Security, Area Studies, or Korean Studies—engage a curriculum that offers a mixture of theoretical frameworks for defining the pressing issues facing firms, cities, nations, regions, and the globe and the practical tools required to formulate policies and strategies to address those issues. An array of special programs bolsters the all-English curriculum. One of these is the Graduate Program of Area Studies (GPAS), which has been funded by the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP) since 2007 and provides travel and research support and ongoing lectures by regional experts. Since 2012, GSIS has also been a member of the Collective Action on Mobility Program for University Students (CAMPUS) Asia Program on the topic of risk management, which is funded by the Ministries of Education in Korea, Japan, and China and offers students local resources and opportunities to study at partner institutions. The school also recently launched another area studies program, the EU Center Program, which will support European policy students. KUGSIS's curriculum is taught by an international faculty educated at some of the world's finest educational institutions. Many of our faculty have been active shapers of international and domestic policy through their roles as consultants and officials in the Korean government, international institutions, and NGOs. This offers our students a wealth of concrete experiences, insights, and access to such organizations' inner workings. As part of Korea University, one of Korea's oldest and highest-ranking universities, GSIS has access to an immense range of resources throughout the university. The university has a global network of research and study exchanges with 744 partner universities in 78 countries, including University 21, a network of 18 leading universities in nine countries that promotes international student exchange programs. Our students can also augment KUGSIS's curriculum by taking advantage of the university's 81 departments in 19 colleges and 18 graduate schools and research and policy centers like the Asiatic Research Institute, the Korean Cultural Research, and the UNDP Seoul Policy Center. Our program is further enriched through its location in one of the world's most economically and socially dynamic countries. Situated at East Asia's geographical heart, Korea represents one of the prime examples of rapid economic development in the late 20th century. It is now looking to apply its experience and knowledge to the developing world today. Its firms have become some of the world's most influential in the growth process, and its social organization has undergone a compressed and extensive transformation into modernity and perhaps beyond. And all this has taken place in the face of unrelenting political and military tensions on the Korean Peninsula. As crucial as KUGSIS's curriculum, programs, and faculty are the students that constitute the program's core. Our students bring their own experiences from all corners of the world. Roughly half of our student body is Korean, and a half from other countries, including China, the U.S., Germany, Uzbekistan, Japan, Palestine, Ecuador, Rwanda, Finland, Bolivia, Ghana, Indonesia, Canada, and Thailand, to name only a few. After combining their abilities with GSIS's demanding curriculum, some of our students have gone on to employment in international organizations such as the UNESCO, UNFCCC, UNESCAP, development institutions such as KOICA or the Korean Development Bank, government research institutes such as KIEP, KIDS, KIE, and GGGI, public utility companies related to water and energy, NGOs such as the Beautiful Foundation and Humanasia, and various multinational companies in finance, trading, and manufacturing. GSIS of Korea University offers interdisciplinary programs that encompass many International Development & Cooperation, International Commerce, International Peace & Security, Regional Studies, and Korean Studies. The interdisciplinary nature of GSIS means that the program is intimately linked with other programs within Korea University and other programs at leading universities overseas. Accordingly, GSIS of Korea University offers, among others, dual degrees in overseas affiliated institutions, internship programs, summer programs abroad, and executive programs for corporate clients. Such exciting opportunities await high caliber students from all parts of the world at Korea University GSIS.- korea

The Duck Pond, located as you enter the campus, is where the ducks, which resemble KAIST, reside. You often see ducks walking freely on the grass after taking a swim to either ponder or enjoy snacks given by visitors. Next to the duck pond is the tricolor bell tower, one of KAIST’s landmarks. The three pillars of the carillon, red, blue, and green, surge up into the sky. Carillon means sets of bells in French. The bell tower has 25 different bells with different pitches and a computer program causing it to ring three times a day. In the future, KAIST will strive to become trusted, even more respected by South Korea and the world, and further its development, particularly in research and education. Starting in South Korea, KAIST will cross the five oceans and spread its influence throughout all the continents, expanding its roots and absorbing/converging various academics and cultures to create a fruitful and innovative future.
- The Catholic University of Korea is a private Roman Catholic institution of higher education in South Korea. It was established in 1855 and is the oldest university in South Korea. The Catholic University of Korea operates campuses in Seoul and the neighboring Bucheon City. The university's medical school, considered one of the most prestigious in South Korea, has eight affiliated hospitals in the country's major cities. The university has been consistently ranked as one of the premier universities in South Korea and has been regarded in national and international university rankings. The Catholic University was ranked 400 - 500 in QS World University Rankings 2016/17. The university has a policy of "inbound globalization," requiring all freshmen to live in the English language dormitory, which can accommodate 1,200 students and professors. Residents are encouraged to communicate only in English during the program, which usually runs for a whole semester. Following the "inbound globalization" policy, the university is equipped with faculty members with esteemed academic backgrounds, professors, professionals, and researchers from the United States, United Kingdom, Singapore, Canada, China, Germany, and Japan. Our university is facing challenges, including the declining school-age population. Nevertheless, we are ready to meet any challenge to support our university as it trains human resources for the future of Korea. For this, I will always remember Father Maubant, who sent the three students to Macau despite difficulties. Our students are the future of universities and Korea. As part of national treasury projects, we are currently carrying out the Advancement of College Education(ACE) project and the University for Creative Korea(CK) project. Such projects will enable our university to teach better and educate better. Our university boasts its liberal arts education. Consequently, while our students become experts in their fields, they learn to care about others and help those in need. Equipped with a moral sense and good values, they know how to acknowledge their fault and forgive others. They also learn to be humble and to know who they are. Meanwhile, they actively communicate with others and value friendship. They are fluent in at least one foreign language, so they are confident anywhere in the world. As they love philosophy, arts, and literature, they understand life's meaning and enjoy their life. Today's world is characterized by its fierce competition in the context of neoliberalism and materialism. Although we cannot avoid such competition, we can make the world a better place by sharing great values. That is the wisdom we are willing to give to our students. We aim to reach out to young people who have great potential. Not only do we consider entrance exam results, but our admissions system also looks at community service and other special abilities to seek individuals with talent. As a leader in alternative admissions policies, our school looks within each applicant and stands by our principles of 'human dignity.'

- KAU is exceedingly confident that we played significant roles in Korea's aerospace industry by fostering its experts. Building the NARO rocket and ranking sixth place in air transportation throughout the world truly represent our great efforts. Our curriculum penetrates the overall aerospace field, including aircraft and spacecraft design, flight operations, air traffic management, logistics, air and space law, and airport management. We also carry co-research with world-renowned global corporations such as GE, Airbus, and, etc. KAU's Regulations specify the underlying mission of its education programs: "KAU fosters capable persons equipped with strong leadership qualities and professional competence, while it teaches and researches theories and application methods in the domain of aerospace science and technologies, as well as in other academic fields that are essential to the development of Korean society and the human race general development of Korean society and the human race." Under the terms of such a mission, KAU practices its founders' objectives of fostering capable leaders who will discharge their historic responsibilities in the new age by developing their frontier spirit and equipping them with a real intellectual culture and advanced scientific technologies. KAU practices a code of conduct embodied in its precepts of "A clean body and mind, wide learning and creativity, and harmony and unity" by pursuing the whole person's education. These precepts emphasize the harmony between practicality and humanity based on the general ideals of university education as provided under the Education Act, whereby "A university teaches and studies in-depth theories and seeks extensive and ingenious methods for their application, an essential element in the development of the nation and the human community". In particular, it presents KAU'sunique goal by specifying a further defining provision in its educational mission of "theories of aerospace science and technologies and their application methods". Though KAU has undergone developmental processes filled with both hardship and honor, intertwined like our motherland's turbulent history, it has steadily nurtured expert personnel in aviation who now carry out critical roles in many different sectors of society. No one can deny that KAU graduates have provided tremendous service in all the fields related to aviation. Dedicated to the nation's development, they perform their roles faithfully, serve with integrity, and uphold the steadfast KAU spirit symbolized by the falcon. Making our University a more playful, positive, respectful, safe, and productive learning and working environment. To make this happen, We already have a plan in place, with input from many KAU leaders. We will experience some inconvenience in the following years due to various construction and campus groundwork, including a new on-campus housing complex. These changes will help all KAU family members feel their esteem soar. But it is just the beginning. We will even plan for future expansion. Making our University a source of an internationally competitive workforce and great leaders, especially in aviation/aerospace and related emerging areas. The nation and the world need competitive and prepared leaders and individuals. Technology is evolving much faster than one can imagine. New fields are emerging every year. Knowledge and training in computers, economics, and English have become prerequisites for almost all professions in this global society. We need to position ourselves to adapt to these changes effectively.

- From its Naissance, Korea University's history has been one of pioneering, fostering talented individuals of modernization through new studies. In 1905, as Korea lost its way and became adrift as it confronted imminent Japanese occupation, KU lit a beacon of hope for the Korean nation in the face of impending darkness with its mission "National Salvation through Education." Subsequently, in Anam's valley, the numerous KU students educated with the values of liberty, justice, and truth became pioneers who accomplished Korea's democracy and economic development. Proud to represent the first institution of higher education founded by a civilian, our collective experience during the past century in which we led the future of the people and the nation is a great heritage that is rarely equaled. However, in the era that we now face, we cannot rely on this pride. Universities, constrained by the formulaic formalism of obsolete educational policies, have been reduced to objects of evaluation. For their part, the youth entrusted to them are having difficulty finding employment and are becoming discouraged. Our University must effect changes rather than be led by them. In 2015, amid these crises, we again contemplated the future of our education. At this historical juncture, when the future is uncertain as ever, Korea University will nurture 'pioneering intellectuals' who will freely advance across the terrain of uncertainty. We resolve that Korea University will arise as the iconic institution of real higher learning that charts the course through the 21st century. Going above and beyond the University that represents Korea and its history, we will transform ourselves into a university that fosters talented individuals who will lead the world into the future. Without pioneering, there will be no tomorrow. The pioneering road will be accomplished only by innovation in education. We will not churn out shallow thinkers dispirited in the face of limitless competition. We will become the University that creates and leads our future. Korea University was born as "Bosung College" in 1905. With a Royal grant from Emperor Gojong of the Korean Empire, Lee Yong-ik (Chungsukgong, 1854-1907), Treasurer of the Royal Household, established the school under the banner, "Education Saves the Country." In the wake of the Korea-Japan Treaty in 1905, however, Lee Yong-ik sought asylum overseas to lead the resistance movement against Japan, which posed a challenge to the management of Bosung College. Although Sohn Byung-hee (pen-name Liam, 1861-1922), the leader of Cheondogyo, succeeded to the leadership vacated by Lee, Japanese imperial repression and the Great Depression aggravated the school's financial predicament. Kim Seong-Su(pen-name Inchon, 1891-1955) took over Bosung College and laid the foundation for Korea University. He aspired to build a genuine national university in response to the public schools, which the Japanese Empire manipulated to disseminate propaganda. In particular, the Main Hall (Historic Site 285), embodying Inchon's spirit, and Main Library (Historic Site 286) were constructed through funding raised across the country and served as strong buttresses for the growth of the University. Following national liberation in 1945, the college was elevated to a university's status in 1946 and renamed Korea University. Throughout the Republic of Korea's modern history, Korea University has stood as a symbol of the spirit of resistance, manifesting the nation's conscience and critical intelligence. This spirit led to several uprisings and protests by KU students calling for democracy, including one on April 18, which triggered the April 19 Revolution in 1960. Later, the Korea University Foundation acquired Woosuk University in 1971, thus incorporating its College of Medicine and affiliated hospital. In 1980, the Sejong Campus was constructed in Seochang-RI, Jochiwon-up, Yeongi-county, South Chungcheong Province (Sejong Special Autonomous City today), reflecting the continued advancement of the University. In the 1990s, the Green Campus was built, and the College of Medicine and auxiliary hospital were relocated from Hyehwa-dong to Anam-dong. At the same time, the Korean TechnoComplex was established to realize collaborative research by business, research institutes, and University for the first time in Korea. Furthermore, Korea University established the School of Life Science and Biotechnology to foster professional human resources in the bioscience area, hosted the Seoul Center of the Korea Basic Science Institute, replete with cutting-edge research equipment, and opened the Graduate School of International Studies to nurture professionals in international and local studies. These endeavors paved the way for KU to join the ranks of leading global universities in science and other areas in the 21st century. The refreshing and pleasant Anam Campus without cars was the first to be created in Korea, thanks to the construction of the Central Plaza under the grass park over what was once the main athletic field. The underground plaza consists of multi-level parking, reading rooms, and various convenience facilities. Ushering in the centennial anniversary in 2005 brought momentum to Korea University to transform itself from a leading domestic university to a globally prominent one. The infrastructure built during the preparation phase for globalization in the mid to late 1990s served as a stepping stone to significantly extend English classes and add international faculty members. Also, Korea University joined Universitas 21, the global multilateral body of universities for cooperation in 2004, held the 2004 International Forum for University Students, and became a member of the Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU) in 2008. Korea University has concluded academic exchange agreements with at least 850 universities and institutes in over 90 countries. As bridgeheads for globalization, dormitories have been established at prestigious international universities, including China's Remin University and Canada's University of British Columbia (UBC), as well as on the Anam Campus, such as the CJ International House and Anam Global House to accommodate international professors and students exclusively. Korea University, treasuring its proud and unique identity as the nation's leading University, continues to widen and deepen its recognition and capabilities worldwide to become a leading globally-focused, research-driven university.

- Korea National University of Arts (K-Arts) has served as home to prominent Korean artists, inspiring their creativity. It has also been fulfilling its mission of fostering and aspiring young artists blessed with great passion and potentials. Despite its short history, K-Arts has accomplished remarkable achievements, demonstrating great enthusiasm based on its conviction in the importance of art education. Creating such a university is like planting the seed of a magnificent tree that will take firm root to nourish the world. K-Arts will nurture an optimum educational environment in which professors teach with unparalleled capabilities and passion, and students exhibit their potential to the full. These programs will help our students stand tall in the international arena. Art education has developed with a complementary relationship between art universities and art schools in the form of conservatories. Art universities focus on studying art in the academic field, and art schools have fostered professional artists through apprentice education since the middle ages. However, art education in Korea has recently produced only average artists through a course which does not distinguish scholars, instructors, or artists. Without adapting traditional art education methods, there has been a shortage of professional artists that all societies require. Young people who would like to become professional artists have left the country to find more systemized and high-quality educational institutions abroad. The self-reflection and self-awareness of the state of our art education have led to a movement that a national art school should be established to foster professional artists. These social requests have determined that the school should be equipped with a new educational method, a world-renowned faculty, and excellent educational facilities to become a professionally practical educational institution. Therefore, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism established the Korea National University of Arts, which professionally educates across six art areas: music, drama, film & multimedia, theatre, film, dance, art, and traditional art. This university is the first to meet the wishes of the world of art and education. Comparable to the Korean school system, which has stepped from elementary, middle, and high school up to the university level, foreign school systems are diversified, so they have various secondary schools that correspond to different disciplines. Since society has become increasingly professional, art education institutions have also accelerated professionalization and have been established and operated along each different area of study. The Korea National University of Arts consists of the School of Music, School of Drama, School of Dance, School of Visual Arts, School of Film, TV & Multimedia, and the School of Korean Traditional Arts. Each school functions as an independent educational institution, like the schools mentioned above. Although these six schools are professional, independent institutions, they actively interact to improve their professionalism across the world of art. In terms of the goals and content of education, an art school and an art department at the university serve two distinct purposes. The former offers a professional education to promote the capability of practice and production for professional creative artists. The latter offers education for studying arts in the academic field. What separates Korea National University of Arts from other standard art universities is its educational goals and curriculum, which aim specifically to professionally educate artists in creating fine arts in their respective fields. Therefore, each curriculum is designed to improve students’ production capability within their major. To achieve this, all classes are structured to promote students’ voluntary will to learn. Teaching through rote memorization is rejected as often as possible, and classes are operated through a combination of one-on-one lessons, group discussion, workshops, group production, and practice in the field. The credit and graduation system are designed utilizing the concept of supremacy enhancement: the nurturing and acceleration of talented students according to their levels. The graduation process demands students’ complete dedication and effort. Therefore, students who do not make an effort naturally fail. On the other hand, acceleration systems such as the ability completion or early graduation system for advanced and exceptional students are to be placed and rewarded accordingly. To become an artist, one must be talented and prepared to devote his or her life to studying and creating art. In line with this philosophy, the Korea National University of Arts selects students who uniquely meet the qualifications above. Since it values performance, the admission selection focuses on assessing present capability and latent potential in prospective students. To achieve this, the admissions process considers grades on the performance test and high school grade point average. According to the department and significant and an aptitude test, the admission test consists mainly of a performance test, written examination, an oral examination to assess its capability synthetically.

- Established in 1991, Korea University's Graduate School of International Studies (KUGSIS) is a leading academic institution in educating and nurturing young experts specialized in international affairs. Such exciting opportunities await high caliber students from all parts of the world at Korea University GSIS. View full university
