  2. Founded in 1994, ENSAI has been located on the Ker Lann Campus since 1996, in the countryside just outside Rennes. ENSAI is part of prestigious higher education establishments in France known as Grandes écoles or specialized graduate schools. ENSAI's education trains its students to become qualified, high-level managers in information processing and analysis. After graduating from the statistical engineering or INSEE civil servant statistician program, our students have threefold expertise in statistics, econometrics, and computer science, which is universally recognized in all professional sectors. After three years, statistical engineering students become statistical engineers when they obtain the Diplôme d'ingénieur, a Master's-level engineering degree equivalent to a Master of Science (MSc) in Statistics (representative of an entire five years and 300 ECTS credits of post-baccalauréat studies). Civil servant student interns become official civil servant statisticians for INSEE after two years; they are paid for their education at ENSAI, a monthly net salary of roughly € 1,550 (bonuses included). ENSAI is also accredited by the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research to deliver a Master of Science in Big Data (known as a Master international or DNM in the French nomenclature). ENSAI is the leading French Grande Ecole, or graduate school, to dispense in-depth education in statistics, economics, and computer science, enabling its graduates to work in one of the many statistical engineering fields. After three years of study, our students graduate as ENSAI statistical engineers with a degree accredited by the CTI. Training INSEE executives for the French National Institute for Statistics and Economic Studies For a third of our students each year, coming to ENSAI means starting their civil service career as a member of the INSEE corps of civil servant statisticians. Training lasts two years, and they follow the same courses as the statistical engineering students during this period. Civil servants can, under certain conditions, obtain a Bac + 5 level through the Public Evaluation and Decision inside Rennes' Master of Applied Mathematics, Statistic" thanks to integrated training, which can be continuous (following the two years of initial training) or deferred (during the first six years of their professional life). Until 1994 the training provided by ENSAI was as a branch of ENSAE (Paris Graduate School of Economics, Statistics, and Finance) in Paris. When the GENES (the Grouping of National Economics and Statistics Schools) was set up, the CGSA branch of ENSAE was renamed the Ecole Nationale de la Statistique et de l'Analyse de l'Information (ENSAI, the National School for Statistics and Information Analysis). It trains engineers for all fields of statistics and information processing. ENSAI and the two research teams of the Center for Research in Economics and Statistics (CREST) moved to Rennes in 1996. ENSAI's mission is to prepare its students for professions involving the collection and analysis of information, especially in the social and economic spheres, and industry, life sciences, marketing, finance, health, and information systems. The schooling lasts two years for civil servant statisticians and three years for statistical engineering students. Civil servant statisticians and statistical engineering students follow the same classes, for the most part, sit the same exams, and are marked together. However, in the second semester of the second year, the students choose their classes. Thanks to partnerships, engineering and civil servant students can obtain, under certain conditions, a license (L3 level) in Applied Economics with the Paris Dauphine University, or a license in Mathematics et Rennes 1 University. The cursus leading to the license in Economics is done during the second year at Bonsai. ENSAI's mission is to prepare its students for professions involving the collection and analysis of information, especially in the social and economic spheres, and industry, life sciences, marketing, finance, health, and information systems. The schooling lasts two years for civil servant statisticians and three years for statistical engineering students. Civil servant statisticians and statistical engineering students follow the same classes, for the most part, sit the same exams, and are graded together. However, in the second semester of the second year, the students choose their classes. The standard version of the third year only concerns statistical engineering students. It seeks to provide them with a genuine specialization while at the same time introducing them to the professional world. Most of the teachers are from the professional sector, giving students an introduction to the problems they will handle after graduation. Students work in the statistical, I.T., or economics departments of public or private companies and learn how to draw on what they have learned and discover their future professional environment. Set on the 2nd floor of the school, 70 places are available in the library reading room. Its collection of documents comprises nearly 18,000 works, about 200 collections of periodicals (especially scientists) of which current about thirty. View full university
  3. Welcome to ESIEA, the Graduate University that provides high-level engineering training and develops the personal abilities of our students, giving them life skills that make all the difference! ESIEA was founded in 1958. It is a Great University of Engineering Science and Digital Technology. Recognized p ar the state, the University has 7,200 graduates. ESIEA is authorized since 1986 by the Engineering Title Commission (ITC) to deliver the engineering degree and has the EUR-ACE Label Bachelor levels Master facilitating international mobility of students. ESIEA is a member: - of the Conference des Grandes Ecoles (CGE) - the Union of Independent Grandes Ecoles (UGEI). ESIEA trains engineers of digital science and technology, adaptable to their environment technique and human, and different industries' requirements. It has more than 1000 students and offers courses in five years on the same two sites (Paris and Laval). ESIEA is managed voluntarily as an association by its 7 200 former students, who invest all resources in the teachings and Research. Its modular education (several custom courses in fourth and 5th year after a solid general foundation in computing and electronics) and through action leaves room for motivations and students skills they practice in different projects, both in science and technology in human formation. in the first year, the search is at the heart of teaching and ESIEA. It is structured around two cross-cutting research themes Paris / Laval: The laboratory "Digital Trust and Safety" (CNS) deals with the application of technologies and methods of information security and systems as part of a comprehensive approach to safety and security of data, applications, networks, systems, and infrastructure. It adopts as its primary methodological approach the vision of the attacker. The laboratory "Digital Interactions, Health and Disability" (Insh) deals with the contribution of virtual reality technologies and embedded systems, and more generally interactive digital systems in the field of health and disability. It involves the design of models and methods for disability support and the integration of technologies to develop tools and interfaces. View full university
  4. We undertake to wipe out technical literacy in both the individual and the society; we commit ourselves to seek and use the best technology available to train our students and even compete with its producers. We guarantee that our graduates be better than they expect. Our main objectives are generally based on the general objectives of technical and technological training in the Kingdom. The specific objectives are pursued yearly and aimed at highlighting the excellence that characterizes the Colleges. Among the main objectives are graduating a highly technically trained cadre that would find the best scientific solutions to the problems facing us and support the development process, and capable of keeping pace with the fast global technological development. The unprecedented development of information and communications led many to name our time as the "revolution of information and communications." This has increased the demand of institutions, private companies, and government agencies for qualified cadres to meet the great demand in the labor market for such qualified cadres. The program was designed to meet the local labor market's needs depending on the national vocational standard for communications technicians. It includes training on signal multimedia, antennas, networks, microwave techniques, satellites, telephone systems, and mobile communications. The focus was made on the applied practical training and connecting it with the theoretical study in most of the specialized courses, through the extensive practical exercises and cooperative training program with related sectors. The program takes (1612) hours of training in addition to 420 hours of practical training in the labor market. The graduates are awarded a Diploma certificate in communications technology. The program aims at providing students with information and skills to work in communications technology at level 4 of the National Professional Qualifications Standard. The Graduate Affairs Unit aims to coordinate jobs and connect the College with government and private sectors to introduce the sections and the available specialties in the College. It works to find appropriate employment opportunities compatible with their specializations and skills and follow up with graduates after employment to know the reality of college graduates in terms of areas of employment and the nature of their work in order to know the employment sectors' acceptance of graduates of the College and the obstacles the faced while they were looking for appropriate jobs. The TVTC does not guarantee employment for graduates; it only provides the necessary training for employment. The guidance and Counseling Unit is a specialized social and psychological environment with privacy and effectiveness in the trainee's life to take advantage of his capabilities and skills in the discussion of issues and problems that might hinder his training. The Unit tries to find solutions by providing the trainee with indicative information and the benefit of social specialists' scientific expertise. It links the trainee with the College's community. It builds up an intimate relationship with his study course and the affiliates of the College, facilitating the social, financial, physiological, or scientific difficulties and obstacles facing the trainee to assist him efficiently in building his homeland and its renaissance. Learn interdisciplinarily and experiment during your study of design. University of Applied Sciences Europe is recognized and accredited by the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and the German Council of Science and Humanities both by the state and institutions. Furthermore, all our programs at UE are accredited by ZEvA (Central Evaluation and Accreditation Agency). A Bachelor's degree at UE is the perfect start to a successful future in web design or app development, photography, illustration, animation, advertising, picture editing, publishers, magazines, an established company, or your own business. Our Master's programs give you further opportunities to find your direction and develop your style. Our International Career Center utilizes our company and alumni network contacts to personally support you in planning your career path and during the application phase. In the last few years, the digitalization of the media has changed the job description for designers. Nowadays, designers work in an exciting space between art, design, and technology, across disciplines and international borders. We help you to develop your creativity individually, with an interdisciplinary approach and practical focus, allowing you to make a real impact on what you are doing. And that means worldwide. These four guiding principles form the basis for our actions in this regard: There are no boundaries to creativity. We believe that the best prerequisites for personal and creative growth come from being open to new things, having the courage to think differently, and being prepared to look beyond the immediate horizon. At UE, we invite you to experiment, strike out in new directions, and find inspiration everywhere in the world through an interdisciplinary study course that offers many options to choose from among other UE study programs, with integrated semesters and excursions abroad, international internship projects, and collaboration with like-minded professors and students from all over the world. We help you recognize your strengths and develop your capabilities to find your dream job later – by working closely with experienced professors from the real world in a trust-based study atmosphere that offers you an environment for your personal development. Creative design and hands-on learning have a unique role here at UE. Our mission is to offer you a course of clear relevance to your later professional needs and support you with exciting projects. We give you space to try out different directions and find your way, whether with the aid of an interdisciplinary choice of subjects, as part of internship projects, "project weeks," or with study-related traineeships because each of us grows along with our experiences! We believe that a team is more than the sum of its members. Often, the best ideas emerge from the creative exchange. Here at UE, we bring together professors, students, and partners in cooperation from some 50 nations, each with their talents and expertise. This creates an exceptional learning environment in which you exchange views, mutually inspire each other, and also encourage each other to think as entrepreneurs, as when planning joint exhibitions and conferences or as part of global internship projects in which you develop creative solutions and give food for thought to clients from industry and the world of art and culture. And many of the connections made here at UE endure long after your studies are over. On the teaching side also, you profit from exchange within a team because of the close cooperation of UE with partners and well-known universities within and outside the Laureate Network in the development of program content and teaching formats that have relevance for the future, such as lectures that span both national borders and continents. Science and research are an essential element of modern cultures. They analyze, assess, and form the basis for our being and our social order conditions. This is especially true for the evolution of current media technologies, which has resulted in a new interaction between work, life, and communication, but that has also become a challenge for our understanding of the world. UE is reacting to these changes by also supporting research projects, in addition to offering courses. These projects can be theoretical and conceptual or artistic and design-based. Their approaches encompass both historical and contemporary sets of problems in equal measure. Since 2014, this work has been coordinated by the Institute for Design Research (IF) at UE. In addition to supporting projects and quality assurance, this institute has become a place where research topics are freely discussed, and experiments are conducted. The mutual premise is the awareness that the creation, transfer, and use of social infrastructures is always a design question. Design strategies often provide the decisive impulses today for the renewal of or changes in interactions within society. The research projects at UE are built on an interdisciplinary foundation. On the one hand, due to the change in the importance of design, the number of career fields has risen for designers, who increasingly have to work in development teams beyond applications or services. On the other hand, it is necessary to tie in theoretical disciplines, which allow the knowledge to take on the material and operative dimensions. The research results are integrated into UE's courses on offer. Furthermore, they are published as a single book in a series and thus promote discussion. In this way, UE is also facing its responsibility towards a dynamic society that is open to the future. View full university

And that makes life exciting. We invite you to go beyond boundaries and expand your horizon by going international, though overseas and practical projects, and in cooperation with like-minded professors and students from all over the world. We help you find your dream job in a trusting student atmosphere with personal mentoring and services, which offers you an ideal condition to achieve your personal best performance. Practical learning is right at the top of our agenda. We are committed to you that you will be able to study with an apparent preparation for your future career needs.

Innovation and team spirit guide us in our teaching, too, in developing future-proofed program content and teaching formats, such as cross-border digital lectures and projects with other universities and companies worldwide, through close cooperation with industry partners and our partner universities in the Laureate International Network.

  13. Sarhad University of Science & Information Technology (SUIT), Peshawar, is a renowned name in the educational circles of Pakistan and abroad. It was established in 2001 through an Ordinance of the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and is duly recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC). Since its inception, the University has made commendable achievements in disseminating quality education and, in a short period, it has become a leading institution of higher education in Pakistan. The University offers a wide range of programs from bachelor to doctoral level. These programs are executed through highly qualified and professionally groomed faculty holding Ph.D. degrees from renowned institutions of Pakistan and abroad. The University is dedicated to imparting high-quality education with an emphasis on demand-oriented skill development and training under excellent conditions of learning. Its educational programs are designed to enable the students and servicemen to Develop skills and competence in their respective areas of specialization. Obtain broad-based, cross-functional education with due emphasis on developing critical, analytical, and logical thinking, and knowledge of societal matters. The education is cost-based but affordable. The University is devoted to students' welfare and intends to provide all support and guidance in their pursuit of successful careers and jobs. Sarhad University is committed to the pursuit of truth, the advancement of knowledge, and excellence in academics. At the higher education level, the commitment requires the collaboration of Government, industry, individuals in the country, and global partners. Our vision is to play a key role in research and academic leadership and contribute significantly to disseminating quality education at the tertiary level. The Development of a culture based on integrity, the quest for knowledge, prudence, and social justice is our foremost priority. The mission of Sarhad University is to achieve a good level of academic excellence, which measures favorably on the touchstone of international standards. The University strives to build up a critical mass of highly skilled people capable of playing an effective role in the growth of national and international economies. The University’s educational system is designed in such a way that it encourages traditions, values, tolerance, and enlightenment in our society. The supposed purpose of education, as marketed by academia, is career advancement, higher pay, and empowering a college graduate's job search. This presents the current personal importance of education as the bureaucratic machines are still humming. More degrees, less dignity, more trading, and less teaching have blurred the very purpose of education. We could not even utilize machines or understand the advent of technology. Computers are pack saddled to existing educational models in an inefficient pretense. In many institutes, most technologies are used like hitching horses to a sports car. The horse-drawn car does not compare favorably with traditional horse and buggy. It doesn't matter if the modern conveyance is an ignorant or intentional misapplication it will be better to properly enjoy car and horse separately. At any age, college degrees as requirements are replaceable but independent thinkers and visionary leaders are not. Cultivating a love for learning should become imperative for success instead of a desire to earn more and more for the kitchen. Sarhad University of Science & Information Technology has succeeded in achieving that very objective for which it was established in the year 2001 and that is no doubt bridging the gap between the knowledge gained through academic learning, and the dynamic skills required in the industry, business, government organizations, and other areas of society. Since its inception, the University has passed through numerous ups and downs, but with the grace of Almighty ALLAH, and untiring efforts of the management and faculty, we not only successfully overcame the obstacles and hurdles in our way but also kept the University on the path of progress and development. Today our graduates are effectively serving various Multi-National Companies and Organizations at Provincial and National levels in different capacities, whereas many joined foreign universities for higher studies. The University is striving to provide relevant and purposeful education to its existing students preparing them to confront challenges in this competitive world. Sarhad University is not just addressing the issues of the professional environment such as purpose-built campus, air-conditioned classrooms, and well-equipped laboratories but, more importantly, it is concentrating on the most critical issues like faculty development, curricula tailored to the latest innovations and present-day demands, quality enhancement, effective teaching and evaluation, and character building.

  17. Niigata University of International and Information Studies is a relatively young university founded in 1994 with the idea to cultivate people who can respond to our time – globalization and computerization. However, it has become a university that this region needs to cultivate those people. The 5,801 graduates it has sent out into the world these past 23 years play essential roles, mostly right here in Niigata Prefecture. The Mizuno Campus is located in the western part of Niigata City, in the middle of a rural area looking out onto Mt. Yahiko. This spacious campus is spread out amongst an abundance of nature, and in addition to being an ideal place to study, it is the perfect place for students to enjoy their youth. The Niigata Central Campus in downtown Niigata City is used for multiple purposes such as graduate research and open college public courses. Our Founding Principles are to cultivate people who understand the differences between Japanese and foreign cultures and who can contribute to many countries' information culture. To lead an information society and contribute to the advancement of humankind's welfare while respecting national, regional, and human culture. Nowadays, people form information networks based on more global values while placing importance on the differences in cultures rooted in regions and countries. Niigata University of International and Information Studies opened to use those networks to create real bonds so that people can coexist peacefully. We are striving for world peace by cultivating people who can contribute to creating and further growth of information culture. Information is continuing to take on a more critical role in recent years since the world is demanding singularly globally-minded solutions to economic problems and environmental, hunger, and human rights problems. It speaks to the fact that they need to cultivate people who can contribute to globalization and computerization, the purpose for which our university was founded, is continuing to grow with more impetus than is imaginable. This university is made up of two faculties. The Faculty of International Studies contains the Department of International Cultural Studies, and the Faculty of Information Culture, which contains the Information Systems Department. 19. We develop human resources to be able to create a future of trusted information security. We live in the age of information. As various forms of information are spreading across the world, many diverse forms of businesses and activities are springing up to use them. We have encountered different types of information security problems in recent years, including targeted attacks against specific corporate organizations, phishing, information leakage, and cyberattacks against interested nations. It is challenging to see IT progress without solutions to these problems. To cope with this situation, we need various specialized human resources such as engineers, practitioners, and researchers in information security. Obtaining a lot of capable specialists is even a national agenda. IISEC was established in 2004 as a graduate school specializing in information security. Since then, we have devoted ourselves to advanced education and research under the slogan, "systemizing a new study field and fostering specialists." Eventually, we have structured our curriculum consisting of cryptography, network system, system technology, operation, law, and ethics to be competitive in the world. Moreover, we never stop brushing up our curriculum to cultivate talents. Meanwhile, collaborating closely with several business corporations, we have started an information security specialist certification program for the "Integrated Special Scheme for Information Security Specialist cultivation" project sponsored by the Education Ministry. Also, we regularly host information security workshops open to the public to work together with society and develop these activities more. By the end of March 2012, 208 students have received a master's degree, and 20 have been granted a Ph.D. in informatics from IISEC. These graduates have begun functioning as strong networks of information security. We have a feature to have many corporate employees and self-employees among our students. We have recently seen a growing number of international students expected to increase more in the future. We look forward to cultivating many highly-motivated, diverse students so that IISEC could be Mt. Liang, the stronghold of eminent specialists in information security. IISEC has set up the advisory board comprising critical figures in public and private sectors to improve overall research activities and human resource development as an educational institute. We value outsiders' advice and guidance to review research and educational achievements by various external viewpoints for our endeavor to meet social needs and catch up with technological development. Our education is designed to provide a wide range of knowledge and skills in various fields related to information science, security technology, management and operation, the legal system, and information ethics, in addition to research guidance following the background of individuals to meet a large variety of social needs and situations. Information security technologies and knowledge are based on IT-related interdisciplinary science rather than an independent discipline. In other words, related fields widely range over subjects from fundamental science such as electromagnetism and mathematical logic, to applied science such as computing technologies, operating systems, software engineerings, network engineerings, communication protocols, access controls, operation techniques, management techniques, organizational theories, laws, and ethics. Therefore, the curriculum is structured by four perspectives: technologies, management and operations, legal systems, and information ethics. Additionally, highly detailed research guidance is provided to individuals depending on their background and career path. Furthermore, the master's program aims to enrich knowledge bases, require students to complete two compulsory subjects to learn a standard image, develop a broad vision about an overall picture of information security, and encourage them to take basic research writing classes and computer science. The doctoral program provides a flexible study framework to encourage the students to attend a part of the master's program to reinforce technical knowledge for their research interests.
  20. Hokkaido Information University was founded in 1989 by Dr. Saburo Matsuo, a pioneer of information education in Japan, to create a new university and new academic fields for an information-oriented society. A proliferation of international information systems heralded the dawning of the information-oriented society. 21. The Emirates College for Management & Information Technology (ECMIT) is a four-year institution of higher education initially established and licensed by the UAE Ministry of Education in 1998 as Emirates Center for Management and Information Technology. In 2004, the Center renamed Emirates College for Management and Information Technology. A set of five mission-driven goals was developed to shape the future course of the College. In 2003, the College proposed to the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHESR) of the UAE its 2-year AS degree programs in interdisciplinary sciences with business majors and IT, which were given initial accreditation in 2004. MIT's first 5-Year Strategic Plan for 2006-2011 was developed in 2006. Termed as "Planning for Excellence at ECMIT," the Plan identified seven strategies for development. The Plan served as a foundation upon which the entire planning, assessment, and evaluation cycles of the College were built. In 2010, the College developed a 2-semester Foundation Program consisting of introductory courses in English, Mathematics, IT, Arabic, and Study Skills to prepare academically weak students who could not satisfy the admission criteria set by the MOHESR for higher studies in the UAE. The MOHESR approved the Program in the same year. In the academic year 2011-12, ECMIT developed its second strategic Plan with a set of expanded strategies and objectives that included the launching of graduate and undergraduate programs, expansion of learning resources, and re-composition of the faculty with terminal degree holders. In the same year, the institutional mission and goals were revised to align them with the revised strategies. During the academic year 2012-13, the College successfully revised and upgraded all its associate degree programs and significantly enhanced its library and IT resources. During the same period, the institution underwent a series of evaluations by the CAA that led to the full accreditation of all its associate academic programs and initial accreditation of the 124 credit BBA program. The College has come a long way since its establishment in 1998. It has developed a western-style administrative structure. A president leads the College with extensive experience in the North American higher education system and a dean of academic affairs who possesses extensive expertise in higher education systems overseas. It has rebuilt its faculty with 90% terminal degree holders. Around 84% of its 17 faculty members now work full time. Consequently, enrollment witnessed significant growth from 137 (lowest) in the fall of 2012 to 263 in spring 2014. The College's Academic Affairs is organized into five academic divisions: Foundation and Remedial, General Education and English Studies, Business, Information Technology, and Continuing Education Divisions. These divisions are supported by a well-organized network of auxiliary units such as Advising and Registration, Computer and IT Services, Library, Admissions and Marketing, and Student Affairs. The programs are delivered in English in a gender-unified environment that allows male and female students to study together. Furthermore, the College has established a well-functioning Institutional Planning and Effectiveness Unit, which coordinates and supports ECMIT's efforts to ensure quality in all aspects of its operation. The unit conducts opinion and satisfaction surveys, collects, generates, and analyzes institutional research and compliance information. Over 15 years, the College has graduated over 20 classes totaling over 2000 students. Today these students occupy strategic positions in government, business, public and private sectors, making significant contributions to the national economy. Over the years, ECMIT has followed the ideal of practical independent thinking by teaching students the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in life. Though they come from diverse backgrounds, students share a commitment to achieving their career aspirations. The College has nurtured this commitment in an academic environment responsive to the changing needs of the workplace and by providing strong career planning support and attention to each student's needs. The constant emphasis at ECMIT has been to build a community network through its connections with potential employers and delivering a supportive environment in which students can achieve their goals.
  22. ISCEM is located at Praça do Príncipe Real, nº 27, in the historic center of Lisbon. Its building, with a meticulously restored original design, fits the architectural point of view of the historic center built after the earthquake that destroyed Lisbon in the mid-eighteenth century. The hill, in which the building was built, attracted the old families of the aristocracy and the new emerging classes. The creation of ISCEM was based on Government Ordinance on 24 October, by the Ministry of Education, who approved its plans of study in higher education and recognized the value of the diplomas conferred, corresponding to the title of the degree course in public education. ISCEM, created in 1990, was established as an innovative project, with the primary objective to achieve the highest level of development in the areas of Social and Behavioural Sciences, Information and Journalism, and Management. In this context, develops its activity in three complementary sectors: higher studies, research, and connection to society and the business community. ISCEM Educational project lies in a strong connection to the business community, with a teaching model that values know-how. This pedagogical model includes conducting semi-annual thematic projects based on empirical knowledge (Ateliers), and internships, whose aim is to mitigate the distance that normally separates the theoretical and its practical concretization. Following the most modern teaching methods, these internships allow students to have general education and a cyclical perspective of the company, where they can put into the test in direct contact with reality the validity of their theoretical knowledge and their intellectual skills. ISCEM considers of high importance the integration between knowledge and its application, encouraging the relationship between education and society, and in this sense, ISCEM is characterized in its nature as a higher education institution, which seeks the specialization in Social and Behavioural Sciences, Information, and Communication, and Management, is a cross-sectional view. ISCEM's mission is to ensure consistent progress of society, stimulating sustainable human development, through production and transmission of knowledge, dissemination of culture, economical growth, research activities, and other services to the community. ISCEM is focused on the study of Social and Behavioural Sciences, Communication and Information Sciences, and Management. It looks to ensure knowledge and innovation in these areas in a transversal way. It also aims for the training and integration of well-prepared professionals in the labor market, as well as collaboration within the business community. In ISCEM we believe that an integrated approach involving Social and Behavioural Sciences, Communication and Information Sciences, and Management is fundamental. In a complex and demanding society, where communication lays as a social and business vector, this approach is a contribution to an informed, constructive and innovative position. Thus, an integrated perspective, oriented research, as well as professional training seem to be essential to meet the expectations of the community and the needs of the labor market. As an institution of higher education, ISCEM seeks to value a practice knowledge associated with deep academic research, conscientious of the challenges of contemporary society. Through academic excellence, ISCEM aspires to be an academic reference, especially in the Lusophone world, allocating researchers and renewed professionals in the labor market. This axis reflects the scientific and academic vocation of the Institute. Comprises an interdisciplinary approach that allows, on the one hand, an awareness of the multiple variables of the society by the business world, on the other, an effective response of the academia to the challenges of companies. It has two complementary pillars: high-level studies and the oriented-research. ISCEM intends to develop an undergraduate and post-graduate cycle of studies, as well as advanced training courses, within the field of Social and Behavioural Sciences, Information and Communication, and Management Sciences. The research is carried out according to ISCEM scientific branch, within or through the exchange of researchers with other recognized Institutions. Being a high education institution, ISCEM seeks oriented research that meets practical challenges and can be useful to society and the business community. It also seeks to create an environment and a normative framework to encourage the participation of the academic staff in research activities, such as case studies or surveys. This should result in the publication of articles in national and international scientific journals, the development of research or learning projects, and the participation/organization of scientific meetings, such as workshops, conferences, seminars, workshops, or roundtables.
