This diversity and the interconnections between its different elements form the basis of the strength of BFH. It provides a strategy with a strong foundation. 11. Tio’s mission is offering personal and intensive professional education that students and businesses rate as excellent. Learning by doing and quality are vital aspects of Tio’s education. By listening to students and businesses, Tio regularly implements changes in its education throughout the academic year. Tio’s focus on quality results in satisfied students. Its national organization allows Tio to focus on the quality and innovation of its education. A team of education experts is formidable at work every day to safeguard Tio’s education quality and develop appealing and up-to-date study programs. Tio’s in-house software specialists ensure that our systems are up to date and perform optimally. Are you curious to find out which study course is right for you? Tio offers various bachelor programs and vocational training courses in hotel management, event management, tourism, business, and marketing. Tio’s bachelor’s degrees take either three or four years, while its level-4 vocational training courses (mbo4-opleidingen, only available in Dutch) can be completed in just one or two years. The Quality Forum is responsible for quality assurance. The system development manager (quality portfolio holder in the management team), the education manager, and the quality care manager are members of the forum. The Quality Forum is responsible for carrying out all the assessments, giving feedback regarding results, carrying out internal audits, ISO certification, recertification, updating process descriptions, and documenting results. In order to guarantee the quality of the program, Tio has recently acquired new insights by implementing a new assessment system, which among other things, has led to the implantation of a new assessment form. The new system, initially used by work placement coordinators, is paying off. Thus, this system will be introduced to other groups, such as lecturers and final thesis coaches. There is also a framework to assess the functionality of the Tio locations and its staff. Tio uses objective external sector studies (HBO monitor, National Student Survey, and indicators of the HBO council) and internal anonymous surveys. The internal surveys are used for assessing a series of courses (after the completion of a study unit) and exams (after every exam). A general survey is carried out once a year. After finalizing a work placement, the work placement is assessed by the student - contact with the work placement coordinator and nature of the work activities - and the work placement company - employment of the student and contact with Tio. Alumni students assessed the final thesis process and supervision of the final thesis process. There is also a staff and lecturers survey for employees, which is carried out once a year. The Assessment panel took notice of the assessment results. The committee has concluded that most of the assessment results have been provided per location and per study course. As a result, the management team can compare the locations and formulate more specific measures for improvement. The Assessment panel finds this to be positive. The Assessment panel appreciates the ambitious attitude of Tio. The University of Applied Sciences has set out to achieve an above-average score in the common assessments, such as the National Student Survey and the HBO monitor. Tio indicates that it deliberately sets high standards for itself, which is commendable, according to the committee. The National Student Survey shows that the general scores of ITM are higher than those of HEM. Tio considers raising the scores to the same level to be a challenge. From the perspective of quality-based thinking and the scores, Tio continuously asks itself: what can we do to improve and which actions serve this purpose? Therefore, Tio is working on the details in various areas. For instance, students find that the emphasis on event management in the HEM study course is limited. Consequently, scores in satisfaction surveys are lower across the board. Tio realizes that if it increases the emphasis on event management, this will most likely positively impact the scores across the board. View full university

  15. Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences was founded on 1 January 1988 by merging nineteen educational institutes in Rotterdam, Delft, and Dordrecht. This was the start of a school for higher education in Rotterdam and the surrounding area. Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences has more than 36,000 students and more than 3,500 employees. There are various programs to choose from across all educational sectors, except in the agrarian sector. Our education is closely connected to developments in the metropolitan region of Rotterdam. Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences has more than 36,000 students and more than 3,500 employees. There are various programs to choose from across all educational sectors, except in the agrarian sector. Our education is closely connected to developments in the metropolitan region of Rotterdam. The merger resulted in an organization that was divided into four faculties. The Faculty of Educational Programmes included the former pabo schools (secondary teacher training) in Rotterdam and Dordrecht, the Teacher Training school in Delft, de Nutsacademie, and part-time teacher training programs in Rotterdam and the province of Zeeland. The Faculty of Visual Arts and Architecture included those two academies. The Polytechnics Faculty included the higher technical school of Dordrecht and two programs for laboratory training in Rotterdam and Delft, the Academy for Nautical Training, and higher education for Maritime Mechanical Engineering. The Faculty of Health, Labour Relations, and Health Care consisted of the Social Academy, the higher education school of Youth Welfare, and Nursing, the Academy of Physical Therapy, and schooling for Speech Therapy. Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences stands for inclusive, high-quality education. We organize our education to be context-rich. Students, lecturers, researchers, and professionals are working together in a work-study environment. In the education vision of Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences, we identify characteristics and basic principles of our education. The content and application of that vision are in the hands of the lecturer teams. They realize and organize education that fits their students, the professions they are educating for, and their specific study program's identity. Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences has chosen to commit to the expanding city of Rotterdam. Society has not stopped developing, and neither has the city. More and more potential students find their way to Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences. Often these are kids of immigrant parents, the first generation of families in this country to enroll at a school of higher education. This asked for a different approach because this new generation of students was less prepared for the independent study. Therefore, Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences presented a new and finely tuned policy. Using the motto 'Exceed Expectations,' the school wanted to challenge all youth to achieve the maximum result during their studies, including the disadvantaged group. The project 'Study Success for Everyone' and stimulating education using the Rotterdam Education Model needed to make this ambition possible. The school's role as an institute of higher education for this region was given more emphasis. The clusters were divided into eleven institutes better to connect education, research, and contract education. Although the institutes were given some freedom to develop, the school ensured that school policies' unity would be kept intact. In September 2012, Ron Bormans was appointed Chairman of the Executive Board of Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences. His role in the organization and his observations led to a thorough analysis of the school's state and current situation. The most important conclusions were presented in his Focus program. The shortest summary is that the school was doing well but was still not doing everything well. The connection with Rotterdam was the right choice. Thus, education and research were better connected to the city, and a hefty investment was made in reaching the youth of Rotterdam and keeping them in school. Investment in the quality of lecturers was also on the rise. But the school still did not achieve enough. The school continued to focus on the broad and diverse student population, as is Rotterdam, but the quality of education needed to improve. For that reason, the Focus program turned the school's complete attention to the quality of our Bachelor education. The intrinsic bond between students and lecturers needed to be more vital to increase Study Success, and education needed to profit more from applied research. The Focus program started another way of working and thinking within the school. Guidelines are placing more responsibility with lecturer teams and supporting management, services, and staff. We offer our students the opportunity to develop themselves as individuals and prepare themselves to become responsible professionals with a respectful society view. Our courses of study also include a substantial research program. Together with our research professors, we pay crucial attention to practical research in particular. This helps us strengthen the quality of our education, but it also enables us to make valuable and vital connections with the work field. Practical research helps us to be able to work on difficult issues with which society is struggling and to do this in a socially responsible manner. We have consciously opted for one core theme and three main themes in our education courses, our research methodology, and our social responsibility and service to add value to society. Inholland distinguishes itself as a university with excellent norms and values. It offers far more than just the profession for which you are studying. Individual development and personal leadership are integral parts of our curriculum. Our three main themes are Creative Economics, Heathy Society, and Sustainable Technology. Naturally, all this is in close collaboration with secondary schools, vocational colleges and universities, the region, and the work field. As far as we are concerned, collaboration is a new competition. We do not turn our backs on each other. However, instead, we listen carefully to one other and see how we can all work together to ensure that students are given the best preparation possible for their professional careers. Focus on practice is an essential aspect of the Inholland University of Applied Sciences' study programs. It helps students to be optimally prepared for the labor market. Some 500 students come from outside the Netherlands, so we have a great mix of Dutch and international students. Easy mathematics will tell you that with such numbers, classes are going to be small. As a university of applied sciences, we have positioned ourselves as experts in Water and Land, Tourism and Business, Industry, and Logistics. Our international degree programs are entirely in line with these spearheads. We are a knowledge institute with a worldwide orientation, with a specific orientation within durability & water, safety, innovation & enterprise knowledge domains. The various target groups can master their chosen competencies via custom made education for a lifelong career in a multicultural and multiform society. We want to be a partner to companies, institutes, and authorities to look after their every knowledge and innovation need. Therefore, we focus on several spearheads, which makes us attractive to a market that goes way beyond the regional and even the national borders. These spearheads are durability and water, safety and innovation & enterprise. This is also re-emphasized by the existence of lecturers in these specific areas. A mission is also embedded continuously in 'values,' which provides direction for thoughts and actions. Our core values are quality, personal development, mutual respect, and professional orientation. Various HZ places and documents also emphasize the required attention for ethnic and interpretation issues, both in general and in professional situations. We want to be a community where every person counts and is seen as an individual. Working together is high on the list of priorities and where there is mutual respect for the development possibilities of all involved. The Netherlands consistently ranks among the best education systems in the world. The HZ University of Applied Sciences has been placed in the top three similar Dutch universities for seven years in a row. HZ is a government-funded University of Applied Sciences (HBO). 25. The Centre-Val de Loire National Institute of Applied Sciences (INSA) is a Public Scientific, Cultural and Professional Institution (EPSCP) established by the French Decree No.2013-521 of 19 June 2013 published in the French Official Gazette of 21 June 2013. The Centre-Val de Loire INSA is a public engineering school of the INSA Group. Located on the Blois and Bourges campuses in the Centre region, the Centre-Val de Loire INSA trains multidisciplinary and entrepreneurial landscape architects and engineers over five years, equipping them with an inclusive, open mind and a high level of scientific and humanistic knowledge. The INSA Centre Val de Loire is a regional and national economic stakeholder that forges research and innovation partnerships with companies. The courses taught set great store by their students gaining international and practical work experience, which results in over 90% of them finding work six months after graduating. Last but by no means least, a thriving and enriching student life rounds these benefits off. Students learn how to tackle projects through modules looking at all the technical, scientific, and visual aspects. Throughout the five-year course, this approach is built on by setting increasingly complex challenges for students covering the analytical and preparatory stages of a landscape project and those concerning the students' personal and increasingly independent development. The INSA Centre Val de Loire offers several types of continuing education programs to meet the needs of companies and employees. Continuing education is a way to meet a company's specific needs. The group set up is made exclusively up of employees. The training sessions are organized either within the company for several of the company's employees or at the INSA Centre Val de Loire with employees from different companies. Beyond these continuing education programs, the INSA Centre Val de Loire can also organize sessions on-demand, in line with identified needs following a feasibility study. The INSA Centre Val de Loire intends to develop its range of double degrees available and thus to be able to offer its students a unique training experience of the highest standard. A double degree gives students the chance to grasp the partner country's language and culture fully and offers undeniable benefits in training and career prospects. View full university
