NSA’s Early College dual-credit partnerships allow students to earn an associate’s degree and vocational certifications while still in high school, and provide a direct pathway into a four-year college or university to complete their bachelor’s degree in as little as two more years. Through a special partnership with Bay College of Michigan, all NSA Students, from grades 9 to 12 and post-graduate, have the opportunity to enroll in hundreds of dual-credit college courses and certificate programs at additional costs – with the ability to earn an Associate of Arts & Sciences degree or vocational certification, and high school diploma concurrently. NSA graduates can also benefit from guaranteed transfer agreements with 9 colleges and universities. Notre Dame High School, Belmont is an independent Catholic college preparatory school dedicated to the educational mission of St. Julie Billiart and the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. Notre Dame High School was established by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur in 1851 and moved to the historic William Ralston Estate in 1923. The school is located on 10.6 acres in Belmont, California, a professional suburban community located midway between San Francisco and San Jose. The WRC is a student-centered program in which students tutor students. Our goal is to improve and celebrate all aspects of literacy and communication across the curriculum. We encourage students to seek assistance on any writing or reading assignment at any level and any point in the creation process. Our center believes in writing, thinking, and reading as a creative and multi-step process, and through academic discourse, we encourage students to work, reflect, and grow as effective and confident communicators. We have modeled our center on those that currently exist at almost every American college or university. We are the only high school in the region with a writing center. Every semester, a group of students is trained via an elective course called Peer Tutoring.
