BWI School was opened by Bishop Winnington-Ingram, Bishop of London, in 1931 at its original Eastcote Road site in Ruislip and moved to the current Southcote Rise location in 1968. Our school community is made up of children, parents, teachers, support staff, and governors everyone has their part to play. At BWI we firmly believe that every child matters and in educating the whole child, we encourage a desire for knowledge and independence as well as helping each child to develop skills for their next school and life. Our vision, values, and worship are at the core of everything we do. They underpin our teaching and learning and provide an environment that prepares our pupils as confident, happy citizens. Being a Christian community where everyone can grow in the Christian faith and develop an understanding of and respect for others. Helping each individual develop self-awareness, self-discipline, and a positive attitude to life and work. Creating a happy and stimulating working environment so that children are enabled to fulfill their potential and acquire skills and knowledge to prepare them for the wider world. Fostering in children an excitement for God’s world and an awareness of their place in it. At BWI we have a highly dedicated staff and very hard-working children and this enables us to achieve good results. We firmly believe in educating the whole child, who gains independence and skills for the next school and life. We are a caring and nurturing community, helping children to have respect for each other, to have pride in their environment, and to be happy. We are a busy but friendly school, with lots going on. This website aims to give you a taster of the school, as well as providing regularly updated information for both parents and pupils. In R.E. we teach children about Christianity and its context in today’s society. We also teach children about other faiths and their beliefs and practices. We are a Christian community where collective worship is placed at the center of the school’s life and takes place every day. Christian values are integral to our ethos and teaching and all staff and pupils are expected to take part in worship. Close relations with St Martin’s Church in Ruislip are developed through active participation of the priests in the life of the school and school visits to the church. Priests, ministers, deacons, and pastors from other local churches are welcome visitors to our school. It is expected by the governors that parents who choose BWI will support the R.E. and Collective Worship Policy, although the right to withdraw does exist. One of our school aims is to create a caring, healthy, stimulating, and balanced environment by providing a program of PSHCE. This encompasses physical, emotional, and mental development and seeks to foster positive attitudes between the children themselves and the adults who care for them. We can use a wide variety of teaching methods according to the needs of the children and the nature of the activity. These include whole class, small group, and individual teaching. The groups may be different according to the task and will be flexible to reflect individual strengths. View full school

We are a learning community inspired by the teaching of Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church dedicated to providing a Mr. Farrelloutstanding education for our pupils. Bishop Walsh is a Catholic school at the heart of the Newhall Valley in Sutton Coldfield in the West Midlands. The School wishes to help the children to affirm for themselves the choice made for them by their parents at their baptism, to know Jesus Christ, and to choose to live as authentic disciples, worshiping God and living their lives in service of a neighbor. Living as a Catholic is something that cannot be confined to school, and we expect, and help, families, and students to play an active part in the life of their local parish, and the local Church more broadly. Pupils at Bishop Walsh are growing to be: Compassionate towards others, near and far, especially the less fortunate, and showing dignity to earn respect. A person of humility grateful for their gifts for the gift of other people and the blessings of each day and gentle with their gifts, becoming men and women for others. Truthful in what they say of themselves and others in the pursuit of justice. Forgiving of the deeds of others and oneself with the desire to show mercy by finding God in all things. Pure in the heart so they can see God living a life of holiness and total devotion to Jesus Christ. Tolerant in their acceptance of the diverse nature of society whilst seeking peace to be children of God. Pupils of service to imitate the ‘Servant King’ advocating the call to sacrifice knowing they will be rewarded in the Kingdom of Heaven. At Bishop Walsh, we believe that Catholic Education is a holistic enterprise, helping pupils to develop not only academically but morally, socially, and spiritually. Learning is our core purpose. Learning opens doors and opportunities in life. Our ambition, therefore, is to provide pupils with the knowledge and skills to help them become successful in their God-given vocation. Our ambition is for all our pupils to achieve through their hard work and the dedication of teachers. Bishop Walsh does its best to promote all those things which characterize an outstanding Catholic school's academic excellence, spiritual development, and social awareness. This vision for the school is rooted in the words and actions of Jesus. His greatest commandment is to ‘Love God and your neighbor’. Loving God is seen in a pupil’s spiritual development. Loving your neighbor as yourself is about our young people’s social awareness and paying attention to academic excellence is all about expanding their life chances. We are working closely with our partner primary schools in the St. John Paul II Multi-Academy to improve the life chances of all pupils in a Catholic Education in Sutton Coldfield and beyond. The word Catholic means universal and so it is no surprise that we are truly comprehensive and proud of it. At Bishop Walsh, we are committed to working for all children, because gaining qualifications or academic excellence is not just an end in itself but a means of giving our children choices in life. The more choices in life, the more fulfilled, happy, and contented they can be. At Bishop Walsh, parents can be guaranteed that the staff will work hard for children under their care so that they will leave the school with the knowledge and skills to reflect and act on gospel values, to flourish in our society, concerned for others before themselves. We expect our pupils to have high expectations and personal standards and to take advantage of the many opportunities that come their way. We need your support as parents in sharing the values of our Catholic school and working with us to make the most of the important years ahead for their children. View full school

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. They underpin our teaching and learning and provide an environment that prepares our pupils as confident, happy citizens. Bishop Ridley School will diligently promote effective learning and discipline through the support of the school, the family, the Church, and the wider community to achieve academic excellence as well as personal, social, and spiritual fulfillment within a Christian foundation. We are a two-form entry, that is, admitting 60 children each year in Reception. We have two classes in all-year groups up to and including year 6. We also have a morning and an afternoon Nursery which admits 26 pupils in each class. The curriculum is thoroughly planned and teachers use a variety of methods to teach it. The methods used (such as whole class or group teaching) depend very much on the lesson content and on the needs of that particular group of children. Children with special needs usually have work differentiated for them (mostly in Literacy and Mathematics) and the more able pupils are given extension activities or set more challenging tasks wherever appropriate. Teachers are supported by a team of Teaching Assistants, who work with small groups and individuals within the class. Under The Department for Education, we aim to actively promote British values in schools to ensure young people leave school prepared for life in modern Britain. Pupils are encouraged to regard people of all faiths, races, and cultures with respect and tolerance and understand that while different people may hold different views about what is ‘right’ and ‘wrong’, all people living in England are subject to its law. We are a Church of England Academy for students aged between 11 - 18 years. We hope that this website will provide a brief insight into our school and a flavor of the Christian Learning Community that is Bishop Ramsey. Our School is a thriving and vibrant community of 1250 students and 175 staff. Over 300 of our students are in the Sixth Form. We achieve well in public examinations and also when value-added measures are used. Our driving force is the Christian view of Hope. It underpins all our work. Our School community is founded on a belief that God made us, God loves us, God has redeemed his world, and invites and encourages us to share his work in doing good in the world. This is summarised in the words from St Julian of Norwich, which look down on our Atrium "All manner of thing shall be well". The School has a rich cultural life, with regular Art Exhibitions, Concerts, and Productions. We also field teams in Football, Rugby, Basketball, Hockey, Netball, Cricket, Cross Country, and Athletics. Bishop Ramsey is the founding member of Veritas Educational Trust. The Trust is currently working to open a sister school to Bishop Ramsey, also in the north of the London Borough of Hillingdon. The new school will be called Bishop Arden and will share Bishop Ramsey's ethos and mission. Bishop Ramsey's success in many fields is a reflection of our determination to live out the aspirations in our Mission Statement. Governors, staff, parents and students together share a commitment to ensuring that, as the School develops, it retains its distinctive Christian ethos, its focus on learning, and its sense of community. Bishop Ramsey School recognizes that every individual is created in the image of God. We seek to nurture each member of our community to develop his or her skills and abilities in a positive and ordered learning environment, so that students mature into responsible and caring adults, and that all members of the school community recognize the value of every individual in God's eyes. As a Church of England School, we wish students to grow in the Christian faith. While being firmly committed to this, we encourage an understanding of and respect for other faiths. The principle of Christian stewardship underpins our approach to the use of the School's resources. Our approach to our relationships is based on the Christian view of God's love for each of his human children and of Jesus' command to forgive and love our fellows. We base our approach to achievement and the provision of opportunities for development on Jesus' statement that he came to offer 'life in all its fullness. Like many other outstanding schools, we became an Academy in September 2011. This enables us to have greater control over the opportunities we offer our students to enrich their education. We also can offer our students truly outstanding facilities and resources following our £21 million building project, completed in April 2009. Since then we have made further improvements to our facilities including the refurbishment of our Science Laboratories and major improvements to our Sports Hall and Changing Rooms. Our rich and varied curriculum and high expectations of children ensure that everyone can be the best they can. Our vision statement highlights our commitment to providing all our children with the opportunity and encouragement to excel and achieve success in a stimulating and safe environment. The excellent relationships and teamwork between different members of the school community, whilst keeping children’s learning central to everything that we do, is what we feel makes our school special. We are very proud of our outstanding Ofsted grade (May 2012) and we strive to ensure we set the highest standards, both pastorally and academically, possible. At Bishop Perrin, learning and teaching are in line with the requirements of the National Curriculum 2014. We take a thematic approach to learning and teaching, with children learning through the context of a new theme each half term. A cross-curricular approach is taken for the majority of curriculum subjects, with only RE, Maths, Computing, French and PE taught as discrete subjects. At Bishop Perrin, we follow a comprehensive phonics program in KS1 that we have developed in line with the Letters and Sounds program, which has been adapted to meet the requirements of the National Curriculum 2014. As part of the teaching of reading, we use a variety of reading resources including reading books from Oxford Reading Tree, Collins Big Cat, Pearson, and Project X reading schemes. At Bishop Perrin, we believe that the most fundamental use of assessment is to build pupils’ understanding and improve their learning within day-to-day lessons. Please read our current assessment policy to understand more about how we assess children’s attainment and progress. For each year group, we have ‘non-negotiables’ that outline key expectations and provide information about the skills that are required at each milestone. At Bishop Perrin, we have a wonderfully welcoming school library that is stocked with a wide range of books from a variety of authors. Children have a timetabled visit to the library each week and the library is open at lunchtimes for the children to visit, browse the books and chat with our friendly librarian. All children are encouraged to regularly borrow books from the library, in addition to the reading scheme books they are reading. We offer a wide range of Extra-Curricular Clubs for children of all ages. Clubs can be held before school, during lunchtime, and after school and include sports, languages, gardening, cookery, and arts and crafts. The clubs on offer change each term and parents need to complete an application form to apply for places at clubs before the start of a new term. Clubs that are run by staff are free (although some of these clubs will make a small charge for materials/resources) whilst clubs run by outside providers will require payment. Bishop Perrin School Association is run by the parents and carers for all of the children at the school. We aim to raise funds in an inclusive and fun way so we can provide extra financial assistance that directly benefits the school and children and we do more than just cake sales. The Full Governing Board meets 6 times each year. We also have three sub-committees that meet every half term. These committees do the detailed work of the Governing Board, exploring data and information presented to them by staff, and monitoring the School’s performance against its development plans. The Business and Finance Committee looks after the budget, and monitors the financial performance of the School to make sure money is well spent. The Children, Families and Communities Committee monitors things like Safeguarding and Health and Safety, how the School engages with parents, carers, and the wider community through, for example, extracurricular activities Curriculum and Achievement Committee provides a close analysis of progress and attainment data to make sure that the School’s strategies to ensure all children achieve their potential are sound. In addition to these three committees, the Strategic Committee, consisting of the Chair of Governors, the Headteacher, and the Chairs of each subcommittee, meets three times each year to discuss any Board related issues and to manage any work that does not fit into the remit of the other committees. The Admissions Committee also meets when required to manage School applications for each academic year. Each Governor has to undertake mandatory training when they join the Governing Board and refresh this training regularly throughout their terms. This training is done in Governor’s own time, or as part of extended full Governing Board meetings. We also have several Governors with special responsibilities for example for Pupil Premium, Health, and Safety, or Safeguarding, and those Governors undertake extra training to ensure they are equipped to carry out these lead roles. We make sure that we have the right mix of expertise on our Governing Body. We carry out regular skills audits, identifying any training or experience that we are lacking and building capacity to make sure we do our job well. View full school

Welcome to Bishop Martin Church of England Primary School. Bishop Martin is a thriving Church School whose core aim is "Learning Together, in God's Love". We are truly committed to nurturing highly motivated and independent young people who have a life-long love of learning that extends across the whole curriculum. Recognizing its historic foundation, the school will preserve and develop its religious character following the principles of the Church of England and in partnership with the Church at the parish and diocesan level. The school aims to serve its community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice. It encourages an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith and promotes Christian values through the experience it offers to all its pupils. Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. They underpin our school vision which is: To provide a happy, safe and caring community that prepares our children to be confident and happy citizens who are successful both in school and the outside world. To have high expectations of pupil achievement through challenging, creative, and engaging learning experiences that meet the needs of all learners and develop in them a desire to succeed. To lead by example so that pupils are encouraged to view perseverance and resilience as integral to their journey to success and personal growth and to have pride in their achievements. We have twelve core values that are embedded in the life and work of the school and its community. They are Thankfulness, Trust, Perseverance, Justice, Service, Truthfulness, Generosity, Compassion, Courage, Forgiveness, Friendship, and Respect. We focus on one value each half term over a two-year cycle. These values are clear in everything we do and how we operate. They reflect the core ideology of our school and do not change over time. The person you are is an expression of these values. They determine how you think and what you do. They shape your purpose and determine your vision. They establish your character and are hugely important to who you are. Values are what we live, breathe and these are reflected in our day-to-day activities. Bishop Martin CE Primary School is an inclusive school. We are committed to ensuring equality of education and opportunity for all pupils, staff, parents, and carers receiving services from the school, irrespective of race, gender, disability, faith, religion, or socio-economic group, and recognizing the protected characteristics in the Equality Act. Working in partnership with parents, we provide a happy, stimulating environment rooted in Christian values. All are cared for and nurtured spiritually, morally, intellectually, physically, socially, and emotionally. At Bishop CE Primary School, we believe that diversity is a strength, which should be respected and celebrated by all those who learn, teach and visit here. Our school is a Church of England Primary School, however, we welcome children from all backgrounds, abilities, races, and religions. At Bishop Martin CE Primary School, our Early Years provision consists of a Reception Class. We are committed to providing a high-quality Early Years education that gives children a secure and confident start to their school life and nurtures a lifelong love of learning. We are fully committed to the purpose and aims of the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework 2012 that states: “Every child deserves the best possible start in life and the support that enables them to fulfill their potential. Children develop quickly in the early years and a child’s experiences between birth and age five have a major impact on their future life chances.” The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) covers the development of children from birth to the end of their Reception Year. The overarching aim of the EYFS is to ensure that children learn and develop well and are kept healthy and safe. It promotes teaching and learning to ensure children’s ‘school readiness and gives children a broad range of knowledge and skills that provide the right foundation for good future progress through school and life. We follow the Statutory Framework of the EYFS and the four guiding principles that shape practice within Early Years settings. Every child is a unique child, who is constantly learning and can be resilient, confident, and self-assured. Children learn to be strong and independent through positive relationships. Children learn and develop well in enabling environments, in which their experiences respond to their individual needs and there is a strong partnership between practitioners and parents, and/or carers. Children develop and learn in different ways and at different rates. Children learn skills, acquire new knowledge and demonstrate their understanding through the seven areas of learning and development: Communication and language Physical development Personal, social, and emotional development Literacy Mathematics Understanding the world Expressive arts and design The EYFS learning environment is organized to allow children to explore and learn securely and safely. The environment is set up in learning areas, where children are easily able to find clearly labeled equipment and resources they need. Children are encouraged to become independent learners and to take some responsibility for initiating their lines of inquiry and investigation. Activities are planned for both inside and outside with children having the freedom to move between the indoor and outdoor classroom throughout the school day. The learning environment is divided into a variety of different areas, including designated areas for writing, numeracy, art and craft, role play, physical activity, construction, small world and play dough area as well as book corner, sand, and water. These areas are carefully arranged to encourage quiet areas and more active areas within the learning environment. Our Early Years Foundation Stage has an outdoor area for the children to learn in throughout the day. Being outdoors offers opportunities for children to do things in different ways and on different scales. It offers the children the opportunity to explore, use their senses and be physically active. The school has a statutory duty to provide independent impartial careers education, information, advice, and guidance (CEIAG) on careers and courses beyond the age of 16. This sits alongside the school’s commitment to advise all students about the world of work and, separately, about curriculum preferences that allow them to make informed choices so that they secure progression into the world of further education, higher education, or the workplace. The school uses a range of external services and local strategies as outlined in this policy to guarantee students outstanding CEIAG Provision. We foster academic success within a stimulating and happy environment. We encourage the full development of scholastic excellence, impact on students' strength of character and unlock and nurture the individual talents within every child. I am proud to lead a dedicated and talented team of professionals who share a sense of purpose and vision a vision that demands we never stand still and continuously improve outcomes for students. We have an exciting and innovative curriculum that is well matched to the needs of students in each year group. Students have excellent progression routes through GCSE, BTEC, or other applied level 2 qualifications. In addition to traditional core subjects, religious education is provided for all students leading to a GCSE qualification, with many selecting to continue this in the 6th form. The core RE provision in the 6th form can be the basis of the extended projects which can form a part of the AQA Baccalaureate qualification. Study in the 6th form extends learning and provides a transition between school and further or higher education, training, apprenticeships, and employment. The A level and BTEC courses are enhanced by the wider curriculum which includes: work experience, PSHE, leadership opportunities, and volunteering. (See Curriculum Policy) We are privileged to learn and work in a state-of-the-art building, with outstanding facilities and are very proud of the success our students achieve. In March 2016 we received excellent feedback during our Ofsted and SIAS inspections: Ofsted judged the school as continuing to be Good in every respect with some truly excellent comments regarding the progress of students and our fantastic Sixth Form SIAS judged the school as Outstanding in every respect. These assessments underline the hard work and achievement of the whole school community. Committed to excellence, our curriculum is designed to offer a broad range of subjects, encourage independent learning, and provide an outstanding range of wider learning opportunities. We expect the highest standards of work, dress, behavior, attendance, and punctuality. Working in partnership with parents, we provide a firm framework within which all students can achieve irrespective of their start point. We believe that everyone has something special to contribute and, as a Church of England School, encourage the moral and spiritual well-being of our students as well as their academic achievements. Worship is at the heart of our community and our Chaplain supports and encourages the students to explore Christian ideals so that when they leave us they are well prepared for life in the world today. Bishop Justus Church of England School seeks to serve its community in the name of the Church by ensuring excellent education in a Christian setting. This 21st-century school is a stimulating learning environment that prepares students for living and working in a rapidly changing world and encourages them to value the rich diversity of cultures they will encounter. Students and staff are empowered to achieve their highest possible academic, creative, and sporting achievement both as members of a community and as individuals. The school provides students and staff with many opportunities to explore the significance of Christian faith and values to their own lives and the issues facing people locally, nationally, and globally. The school is committed to ensuring that the learning, vocational, and personal needs of all its students are met by its curriculum and extra-curricular activities. The spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development of the students is set in the context of Christian faith as taught and lived in the Church of England. The school’s distinctive ethos and approach are offered to all members of the school community. Christian students find their faith affirmed and valued, and they meet and work with people who hold to other faiths and philosophies. All students encounter, in the lives of Christians in the school and in the school’s ethos, a living Christian witness which is neither coercive nor assertive but which welcomes and affirms. All members of the school’s community are equally valued and are encouraged to contribute their understandings and abilities to the school’s work and ethos. The beliefs of those from other religious traditions are treated with respect and openness. We recognize that God is at the heart of the school, and so collective worship has a high priority in the school’s daily life. Collective worship is of high quality and is planned to engage all members of the school’s community. A school is a place in which students and staff are cared for and where they learn to care for one other. Bishop Justus Church of England School seeks to achieve its aims and develop its life and ethos. The importance of laws that apply to the academy is regularly reinforced with pupils throughout the school day. Primarily these center on behavior which is regularly covered with pupils day through assemblies, worship, and Personal Social and Health Education (PSHE). Pupils are taught the value of and reasons for the laws that protect and govern us together with the consequences of breaking laws together with the need for restorative justice. External agencies such are the police are invited to support the work of the academy in promoting the rule of law. All pupils are actively encouraged to make choices at school knowing that they are in a safe and supportive environment. Pupils are encouraged to know, understand and exercise their rights and personal freedoms and make suitable choices. Teachers advise pupils how to do this safely through the promotion of e-safety, citizenship, and PSHE. Pupils regularly make choices in terms of extra-curricular activities. The academy has a diverse pupil and staff body. It promotes not only tolerance but acceptance of people from different faiths and beliefs. This is achieved through enhancing pupils' understanding of their place in a culturally diverse society and by giving them opportunities to experience diversity. Assemblies explore other beliefs and prejudices as well as tackling prejudice-based bullying. Other faiths and beliefs are explored through the academy’s religious education curriculum. The academy celebrates the language and cultures represented within the diverse pupil body. Members of different faiths or religions are encouraged to share their knowledge to enhance learning. The academy’s ethos and values coupled with its Christian ethos focuses on the need for mutual respect and kindness towards all. The academy’s behavior policy supports this and it is reinforced regularly in assemblies and the daily life of the academy. View full school

Bishop Hedley was established in 1967 due to the growing need to cater to the large populace of Catholic youth aged 11–18 in the Merthyr Tydfil and Heads of the Valleys area. The school was named after John Cuthbert Hedley, Bishop of Newport, who opened the first Roman Catholic Church (St. Illtyd’s) in the Merthyr Valley in 1863. The school was expanded to a second phase in 1973. The vast majority of the pupils of the school stem from the Heads of the Valleys area, serving parishes from Aberdare, Hirwaun, Merthyr Tydfil, Merthyr Vale, Gurnos, Dowlais, Ebbw Vale, Tredegar, and Rhymney. As of September 2018, the school has 510 pupils on roll from the ages of 11-16. Bishop Hedley has a main hall, dance and drama studio, gymnasium, two sports halls, football/rugby field, three schoolyards, three design, and technology rooms, learning resources center, music rehearsal room, three new 21st-century science suites, 5 I.C.T. resources rooms and an I.C.T. “room of the future”. There is also a specific SEN and EAL area. The school has also recently refurbished a sports hall and installed a 3G indoor football and rugby surface. Some of you may have visited the School already and know of its facilities. We would emphasize that these facilities will only benefit your child if they are used properly. Your child will be entering a five-year course of Secondary Education and, so that he/she may fully benefit from all we have to offer, full co-operation between School and home is necessary throughout the whole five years. This is particularly the case in matters such as homework, conduct, regularity, and punctuality of attendance. The Governing Body of Bishop Hedley Catholic High School is made up of a wide-ranging cross-section of representatives, including parents, teachers, parish priests, Local Authority representatives, and elected representatives from the community. The Headteacher is also a member of the Governing Body. The Governing Body is keen to foster all aspects of School life and is particularly interested in maintaining high standards of work and personal behavior set in the context of our Catholic Faith. Our children enjoy rich and engaging learning experiences, which promote ownership of learning and lead to high standards of achievement. Our children are at the heart of all we do here at Bishop Gilpin, and their successes are a credit to them, the staff, our governors, and our parents and careers. Our rich heritage in creating ‘A Firm Foundation for a Lifetime of Learning’ combines the best of Christian values with the very latest in teaching methods and technologies. In-year vacancies for places outside the normal admissions period will be coordinated by Merton Council. You will need to complete an In-year Transfer Form, which can be obtained from Merton Council. If you are applying for a foundation in-year vacancy you will also need to complete a Supplementary Form, which can be obtained from our Admissions Officer. For prospective parents of in-year applicants, we are happy to arrange visits throughout the school year. Our Christian values of equality, caring, forgiveness, and thankfulness support our spiritual and moral development as we grow and learn together in a happy, safe and secure environment. Children, staff, parents, and governors are innovative thinkers, able to work collaboratively and independently in an exciting and supportive learning culture. A genuine love of learning is nurtured through vibrant and engaging, high-quality learning experiences and excellent staff development. We have the highest expectations of each other and ourselves and feel a sense of worth and of contributing towards something extraordinary. Each school has a governing body that acts similarly to the board of a company, providing a strategic overview of the running of the school. The Governors support, encourage, and challenge the Headteacher and staff. Bishop Gilpin’s full governing body sets the remit and focuses for the sub-committees. It meets twice a term to review the work of its sub-committees and evaluate the school’s overall effectiveness. The Headteacher presents a report at each meeting, commenting on the life of the school in general and on progress about the targets in the school’s development plan. Sub-committees and working parties meet 2-3 times a term to discuss issues in greater detail. This recognizes that there are some issues, such as monitoring the school’s budget and finances, which will require greater time and scrutiny than can be given at the meetings of the full governing body. Our children consistently achieve outstanding levels of attainment at Bishop Gilpin. Our pupils also make outstanding progress during their time in our Foundation Stage, and by the end of Key Stage 1. We take additional actions to support the progress of pupils with English as an additional language and our pupils eligible for Pupil Premium funding. Pupil progress meetings are held termly by the class teacher and senior leadership team to monitor and support each child. Parents receive feedback about the progress that their children are making. Our tracking of pupils’ progress helps us to understand when pupils might benefit from additional help, and also helps the school understand the impact of teaching and learning. Sport is a very important part of life at Bishop Gilpin. Our specialist Head of Sports, Alec Smail, coordinates teaching and learning of PE in addition to a wide range of competitions as well as friendly matches between year groups and against local schools. We are part of the Merton School Sports Partnership and compete against other schools in Merton and beyond. Over the last three years, our school has achieved unprecedented success by winning four titles at the London Youth Games, which is the largest tournament for young people in Europe, amongst many other local and borough level titles. E-safety is about how we protect ourselves and other people when we use the internet. It involves protecting information and images about ourselves while being polite. We discuss e-safety regularly at school and learn how to apply its principles to the internet resources that we are using. Make sure you stay safe while online by remembering these simple rules. At Bishop Gilpin, we know that our children’s education is a team effort. To this end, we have introduced a Home-School Learning Agreement. This is a contract that sets out our Christian ethos, our mission, and our school rules. All pupils, parents, and teachers must sign an individual Home-School Learning Agreement. If you haven’t already done so, please click on Home-School Learning Agreement Leaflet, below, and print off a copy, sign it and return it to the school. For more than 250 years, Bishop Gilpin Primary School has been delivering an outstanding education for all pupils in its care. In 2008 Bishop Gilpin Church of England Primary School celebrated 250 years of educating children, formerly as National School and then as Old Central School. Initially known as ‘National School’ it was later referred to as ‘Old Central’ in a document in 1893. This was possible to distinguish it from the new schools that had been set up in Wimbledon since the Education Act of 1870 had extended elementary education to all children. View full school

We endeavor to provide the best education for your child at our thriving Catholic School. Our holistic approach provides an educational foundation for life, ensuring that each child has the opportunity to grow in self-confidence, knowledge, and faith and achieve excellent success academically. Life at Bishop Challoner is a seamless journey from nursery through to the sixth form and the experiences gained will have a lasting value. This is a happy school where our pupils feel a sense of belonging and pride, show respect and have a love of learning and aim to be the best they can be. Our small class sizes enable the teachers to know their pupils well and to encourage each pupil to reach their full potential and achieve their aspirations. The school became a company limited by guarantee and registered as a separate charity (having previously been part of the Catholic Archdiocese of Southwark). The voting members of the company are the Trustees who are responsible for the oversight of the school. They are assisted by others who may attend meetings such as The Head Teacher, governors, a teacher representative, and others drawn from the school community. The Trustees have to uphold the constitution of the school and maintain its catholic nature. Two of the Trustees are appointed by the Archbishop of Southwark as representatives of the local Catholic Parishes- St Edmund's, Beckenham and St Joseph's, Bromley. We offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities which help to enrich the education of our children. Fencing has a long and distinguished tradition at Bishop Challoner School. The fencing club exists to allow pupils from age 7 upwards to take part in competitive fencing. Past and present pupils have achieved impressive results at the borough, county, and national levels. Several clubs are run for both juniors and seniors. Parents and pupils are informed of the choices at the start of the year in September. At Bishop Challoner, we aim to allow every pupil to develop his or her powers of oral communication and dramatic and musical expression. Great confidence is gained through performing to an audience and pupils throughout the school are encouraged to take part in a variety of theatrical productions and concerts. Bishop Challoner places a great deal of importance on the sport. We believe that there needs to be a healthy balance struck between academic and sporting activities for a well-rounded education. We believe in healthy competition – so we compete against other schools in most of the team games. We also hold competitions in school – often based on the house system. Bishop Kelley High School is a co-educational Lasallian Catholic high school with approximately 950 students, grades 9 through 12, located in the center of the Tulsa metropolitan area on a 47-acre campus. The school was founded in 1960 and is operated in the Lasallian tradition of the Brothers of the Christian Schools. The mission of Bishop Kelley High School is to carry on the teaching ministry of Jesus Christ by providing a Catholic, Lasallian education that develops individuals whose hearts and minds are prepared for a purposeful life. Educators are role models for young people. This is especially true of educators in a Catholic school. What one does both inside and outside the classroom matters, for example, is a more powerful teacher than words. Educators employed by Bishop Kelley High School are required to become familiar with the specifications of their contract and to live lives and speak words consistent with church teachings. If a teacher’s behavior becomes a matter of scandal to the school or to the community it serves, the administration has a legal and moral obligation to address it. As St. Francis of Assisi said: “Preach the gospel to all the world, and if necessary, use words.” Not every educator employed by Bishop Kelley High School is required to teach the content of the Catholic faith as educators in a Catholic school, however, we may not publicly oppose it. Bishop Kelley High School serves Catholic and non-Catholic families seeking a college preparatory program within a Christian environment of concern, trust, and growth. All students are met at their own academic level where they, with the help of Bishop Kelley faculty and staff, strive to realize their God-given potential. The Bishop Kelley curriculum consists of a required course of studies believed to be essential to a Christian liberal arts education, plus additional courses designed to accommodate the unique needs and interests of the individual student. Our broad and challenging curriculum, taught by highly qualified faculty, inspires students with a range of abilities to achieve academic excellence. All students at Bishop Kelley High School are entitled to a quality, Catholic education, In keeping with this philosophy, academic support is available to all students. These programs include Math Lab, Writing Lab, and IConnect. Students in need of academic support are expected to complete the regular coursework with minimal accommodations. Modifications to coursework will not be a component. All students at Bishop Kelley High School are entitled to a quality, Catholic education. Bishop Denis J. O'Connell High School is a faith-filled community of learning, rooted in a tradition of service and excellence. Founded by six local parishes in 1957, our school was built to serve the rapidly growing suburban Catholic population in the Washington, D.C. area. Today, our student body of over 1,100 reflects the diversity of this community. The spiritual atmosphere at O'Connell is enriched by the presence of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, who have served the school population since its doors opened in 1957. Our mission is to provide students an education rooted in the life of Christ and to foster the pursuit of excellence in the whole person. Bishop Denis J. O'Connell High School, a Catholic coeducational community of students, faculty, administrators, and staff, supports and complements the family, the parish, and the larger community as each seeks to educate young people while challenging them to live the Gospel of Christ. The O'Connell community respects and values each member as one created in the image and likeness of God. This educational community recognizes five dimensions of the person: spiritual, intellectual, social, emotional, and physical. To encourage spiritual development, the administration, faculty, and staff work to provide an atmosphere of true Christ-like compassion and concern in which students may experience the Gospel message. This atmosphere allows the students to recognize themselves as personally redeemed by Christ and to generate a response rooted in knowledge and love and manifested in service. Each faculty member provides quality academic instruction to inspire students with a love of learning and to give them knowledge and skill in specific disciplines. Each teacher presents to the students the opportunity to develop reason, to find the truth, to express their thoughts clearly, and to be able to comprehend the development of ideas presented by others. The administration, faculty, and staff strive to adapt this instruction to the intellectual needs of the individual students so that they may become more confident and therefore better prepared to face the challenges of society. The school provides students with a variety of extra-curricular activities to help them become aware of their talents and limitations. These activities challenge students to contribute to the needs and spirit of the school and the community, making them more aware of their responsibilities to others. The students' emotional needs are met through the combined efforts of professional counselors and faculty. The students' physical needs are addressed by physical education, intramural, and interscholastic athletic programs. Bishop O’Connell High School will be known as the Catholic, co-educational college preparatory high school that fosters academic excellence and educates the whole person within a supportive environment that helps students grow in their Faith and emphasizes service to others. Bishop O'Connell will distinguish itself through innovations in STEM fields, global studies enrichment opportunities, and university partnerships that enable students to extend their horizons as they prepare for college and beyond. Bishop O’Connell’s commitment to the development of the whole person—mind, body, and soul—flows from its unique identity as a Catholic school. Bishop O’Connell is large enough to offer a wide array of experiences to students but small enough to ensure a personalized experience for each student. From the availability of the sacraments made possible by the presence of a full-time Chaplain to the focus on their individual development offered by classroom teachers, counselors, and coaches, students at Bishop O’Connell benefit from the school’s commitment to the whole child. This dedication is reflected beyond the classroom by the way that the school’s mission is supported in extracurricular activities from fine arts to athletics, to student clubs. A commitment to helping students grow in virtue permeates the entire experience of a student at Bishop O’Connell. The academic program at Bishop O’Connell is distinguished by the way it balances an excellent grounding in the liberal arts with a dynamic curriculum that leverages alumni, parent, and community networks and provides opportunities for students to further develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills. A superb faculty has built O’Connell’s reputation for excellence in the core subject areas and these same teachers are the innovators behind creative programs in science, engineering, and global studies among others. O’Connell’s academic partnership with Marymount University is helping students earn college credit while preparing them further for success in an ever-changing world. Bishop O’Connell’s unique Global Studies Certificate Program allows students to explore global issues more deeply in the areas that interest them most: politics and law, health and environment, faith and humanitarian, arts and humanities, etc. As Bishop O’Connell grows this program beyond its current parameters, all students will gain essential skills for understanding, categorizing, and analyzing global phenomena. The very high standards we achieve in all areas emerge very naturally from this effective partnership. We have been here in the historic heart of Lincoln for over 150 years, a beautifully green and pleasant campus just a few minute's walk from Lincoln Cathedral, Castle, and the old Roman city. We have seen many things come and go in that time, but we have never stopped providing first-class education, turning out graduates of the highest caliber who go out into the world and change people's lives for the better. We began life in 1862 as an Anglican teacher training college for women. To mark our centenary in 1962, our name was changed to Bishop Grosseteste College in honor of Robert Grosseteste, the thirteenth-century scientist, philosopher, educator, and Bishop of Lincoln. Subsequent name changes in 2006 and 2012 saw our name changed to Bishop Grosseteste University College Lincoln before we finally became Bishop Grosseteste University. In recent years we have undergone an explosion of growth, expanding, and developing our portfolio of courses into more exciting new areas. We still consider ourselves experts in education – we have been doing it for over 150 years after all – but our teaching courses now sit alongside an exciting range of other subjects. We currently educate over 2,000 students in subjects ranging from drama to psychology foundation degree to Ph.D., and much more in between. We keep adding to our campus to ensure that our students have a fulfilling learning experience and a rewarding university life. In 2013 we refurbished our student accommodation, built a brand new hall of residence, enhanced the BGU student experience, and created a real home away from home. We also totally refurbished our library building (doubling its size) and built Refectory, our new dining facility. Our Vision Bishop Grosseteste University is committed to being a leader in learning, to inspire excellence, and to enrich the lives of its students and staff and the communities it serves. Bishop Grosseteste University's governance structure has been developed to uphold the fundamental values and practices on which the effective governance of UK HEIs is based. Like the majority of higher education institutions, Bishop Grosseteste University (BGU) is a public body. As such, we are required to be open and transparent in our conduct and subject to the requirements of regulatory and funding bodies and the Committee of University Chairs Higher Education Code of Governance. Bishop Grosseteste University's commitment to equality and diversity is manifest in all our work. The first of our values as a Church University – "We are committed to being an inclusive community which fosters an ethos of mutual respect, trust, and care. " As a public body, BGU is subject to specific duties outlined in the Equality Act 2010, which requires public bodies to eliminate unlawful discrimination, advance equality of opportunity and foster good relations between people from different groups. The Act also extends the characteristics protected by law resulting in nine protected groups. So discrimination is now unlawful on the grounds of sex, sexual orientation, disability, pregnancy and maternity, gender reassignment, race, religion and belief, marriage and civil partnership, and age. Higher Education Institutions are required to publish objectives and information explaining how they will meet this duty. The Learning Development team focuses primarily on enhancing the student experience. Tutors within Learning Development can offer advice and guidance to students with their academic literacies and study skills. Students can access this service through one-to-one appointments, group workshops, or by downloading our bespoke study skills resources from Blackboard. Learning Development advice and guidance are also available to staff to enhance their skills, supporting students' academic progress. The Student Engagement Facilitator works with staff and students to help shape the learning experiences of both. Students enrolled at Bishop Grosseteste are equal partners in the University, and as such, are encouraged to make changes that will improve their time here. CELT is currently running several innovative projects as part of the wider Students Create Change agenda. CELT also works closely with other services across the University including Library Services and Careers, Employability and Enterprise. The center comprises a multi-disciplinary team that collectively has a wealth of experience and knowledge of education, teaching, learning, and assessment, as well as staff development and student engagement. CELT also contributes to the University by offering staff development programs. CELT offers a program of events and conferences for academic staff designed to enhance professional practice. Staff is encouraged to engage with staff development events. CELT delivers the Bishop Grosseteste University PGCHE. This newly introduced qualification has been submitted for accreditation by the Higher Education Academy and, once accredited, will confer Fellow status of the HEA upon completion. CELT also delivers the internal HEA recognition scheme (PAT), which confers Associate Fellow, Fellow or Senior Fellow on successful completion. Bishop Grosseteste University is committed to enhancing students' employability prospects. CELT is pivotal in advancing the development of those graduate skills necessary for students entering the job market. The League of Extraordinary Graduates took place in March 2017 at BGU. The event offered to staff and students the opportunity to learn more about our Graduate Attributes program. Learn more about the event by reading The League of Extraordinary Graduates Event Report. OUR VISION To be the top college on the North Coast of New South Wales. To build a college with access to all who want their children to achieve the highest standard of education and founded on faith. Bishop Druitt College is a learning community intent on developing resilience, resourcefulness, reflective practice, and collaboration. The BDC Primary School has 460 students enrolled from Kindergarten to Year 6. The primary school uses the NSW Board of Studies curriculum for all key learning areas. The Junior Primary Coordinator (Kindergarten -Year 2) and the Senior Primary Coordinator (Years 3 - 6) are available to support students, parents, and teachers in the primary school. The Director of Pastoral Care supports all community members to ensure that our students' social and emotional needs are well met. The Head of Primary is ultimately responsible for all academic, social, behavioral, and pastoral care programs in primary school. In addition to the classroom teachers, specialist teachers are employed for the library, Christian studies, French, Japanese, gifted, talented, learning support, and music. The college employs counselors for primary families to access. The primary school has an occupational therapist and a speech therapist as associates. Staff are drawn from diverse backgrounds and have a variety of educational philosophies. We recognize that quality teaching is the most important school-based factor affecting student achievement. We are committed to supporting the teachers through whole staff and individualized professional development initiatives in primary school. Teachers have high levels of collegiality in teaching and programming. Release from classroom teaching is provided at the same time for grade teachers to facilitate this collegiality. Team teaching operates widely throughout primary school. The secondary school operates with the middle school (Years 7-9) and the senior school (Years 10-12). The approaches to teaching and learning vary depending on the age of the students within the secondary school. The pastoral care system is also organized with middle and senior school coordinators (one per year group). The secondary school uses a four-stream model for Years 7, 8, 9, and 10. A fifth stream can occasionally be added to a year level group because of the demand for places. Study programs in Year 11 and 12 are based around student choice, and every effort is made to customize our classes in these year groups accordingly. Each academic faculty determines its structure in a manner that best suits the individual cohort. Therefore, some subjects may be streamed while others are not. The college has a strong history of academic success based on recognizing and nurturing the individual's talents and providing a safe environment to see them develop. A thorough grounding is offered in the first two years of secondary school in English, mathematics, science, history, geography, personal development and health, technology and applied science, creative and performing arts, and languages. Many elective choices are offered in challenging disciplines for students as they progress through the secondary years. Many recreational clubs and sporting options are also available. Our sporting tradition combines the excellence of high performing teams with the opportunity for everyone to participate at their level. Underpinning the academic structure of the college is the pastoral care system. Each student belongs to a tutor group and a house. The tutor group is horizontal (the same year level), and the house is vertical (K-12). Students usually remain in the same tutor group and house for the duration of their secondary enrolment. We offer exceptional educational professionals services at all classroom levels, technology support, and educational support services. We also offer the best pastoral care available, using our house system as the foundation for creating a caring and personal experience of the Anglican tradition. All this in the beautiful natural environment of the Boambee Valley, minutes from Coffs Harbour, and with beautiful beaches and the rainforests of the hinterland nearby.

The ethos and high aspirational culture of our school are rooted in Gospel values to quote the Diocesan Vision for Education, “We stand on holy ground. Every child, every young person, every adult is a unique image of God.”Parents are the first educators of their child and at Bishop Thomas Grant School we communicate regularly with parents and families. We continue to set challenging targets to make certain that the school builds on its current academic success. This, along with our enrichment program and extra-curricular activities, serves to ensure that our students receive a broad and balanced education and can succeed in life as confident, resilient, and well-rounded individuals. At Bishop Thomas Grant School, our Catholic faith is not simply an added extra that we teach and offer our students it is integrated into the whole life of our School and in all aspects of the curriculum. It is conveyed in the values and attitudes which are incorporated into the way we structure and manage, into the relationships between staff and students, and into the aims we set ourselves. We believe that the Catholic vision of life can enable human beings to become more human. In our School, we undertake to present it, live it, and celebrate it.
