      1. Campbell Hall is a community of inquiry that inspires its students, faculty, administrators, and parents to explore the world with open hearts and curious minds. Our academic program celebrates joyous inquiry rather than an anxiety-driven curriculum. Our inclusive and innovative programs emphasize connections and relationships among both ideas and people. Our students’ spiritual development is the centerpiece of our mission in the belief that pursuing academic excellence flourishes most alongside an equal commitment to nurturing loving, responsible, and healthy children. We prepare students best for a larger world where highly complex problems dominate the landscape by nurturing their critical thinking skills within a supportive community so they know how to work with others with grace, focus, intelligence, and optimism. Life can be all about joyful and courageous inquiry, and we are lucky to grow together in that experience with our school community. The teaching and learning at Campbell Hall do not separate the intellect from the heart but connects the breadth of the mind with the breath of the spirit. Drawing from the Episcopal tradition that knowledge comes from asking questions rather than asserting answers, we challenge our community each day to investigate the meaning of the lives we live together. Our students are persons of both reason and faith. Their quest for knowledge becomes a journey of intellectual discovery that is wed to a moral center. What our students learn is sewn into a pattern of faith for daily living. As a community of inquiry, our students’ learning takes the form of joyous inquiry rather than rote learning. We are at heart a community exploring together the nature of reality, the norms of culture, and concrete ways to make the world a better place. We encourage all members of the community to improve their critical faculties, to value the learning and thought we have inherited from the past, and to remain open always to truths beyond our current understanding. We encourage faculty and administrators to create programs that allow students to pursue inquiries wherever they lead and to give students an experience of the transformative power of essential questions. We encourage faculty and administrators to explore approaches that help students’ curiosity expand rather than contract. Spiritual development is at the heart of everything we do at Campbell Hall. We continue to honor the Episcopalian tradition as a place of open inquiry and spiritual formation. Campbell Hall's spiritual mission is to nurture the soul and character of all students entrusted to our care. Above all, Campbell Hall exists not merely to educate, but to demonstrate and proclaim the unique worth and beauty of all human beings as creations of a loving, empowering God. We take great pride in being an interfaith community that learns from many religious traditions. We seek to instill morals and values that emphasize goodness, responsibility, love, respect, and a sense of connectedness to something greater than ourselves. To achieve academic excellence, we passionately pursue knowledge, which cannot be taught to a test but grows internally through the values embedded in our curriculum. We seek a balance in the lives of our students, believing that offering a contemplative center is the foundation of real learning. We are committed to weaving a diverse, interfaith community. To do so, we push ourselves to achieve a greater understanding of the other to not reject what is difficult or different, but to embrace the authenticity of each student and every family's background, and honor their individuality. We believe in something simple and sacred: happy children. Service is not separated from our academic program but guides it from within. Whether we send high school students to teach creative writing to fifth graders in a public school, or grade school students to Hillsides Center to both give and learn, or support our sister schools in Haiti, we devote ourselves to serving those in need and thus deepening our understanding of the diverse world around us. We are all formed by our culture and our community. Our school believes in the power of love the spiritual and moral development of our students begins with the love we owe toward one another. Our community sets its compass toward faith, honesty, and integrity and is committed to thriving with diversity, autonomy, and compassion. View full school
      2. Our vision is to inspire individuals to be the best they can contribute to the world around them and grow into men of character. We are committed to providing an education that enables every boy to fulfill his potential - whether in the classroom, on the stage, or the sports field. We believe education is a holistic experience that should celebrate the creative, physical, and spiritual as well as the intellectual. We want boys to leave the school with an assured set of values, we want them to believe they can truly make a difference in the society we want boys to leave with things that are going to matter to them for the rest of their lives. Campbell College Kindergarten & Junior School is a unique learning environment where boys are inspired, not just by the history and beauty of the surroundings, but by the magic of the place. Within a caring and nurturing family ethos, diversity is celebrated and our boys are challenged to be the best they can be. We use many keys to unlock each child's potential. When you join our Junior School Family, you become part of something very special. It is the first chapter of an exciting, life-long learning adventure as part of the Campbell Community. We extend a warm welcome to you to come and visit our school and experience, at first hand, a school that makes young lives extraordinary. Campbell College is committed to providing an education designed to enable all boys to discover their strengths, and to make the most out of their talents within Campbell and beyond. When we see a student, we do not see a grade or a label we see an individual, with potential, and we must add value by helping them achieve academic success and appreciate the joy of learning to learn. Our ethos in Senior School is all about inspiring individuals to be the best they can be. This mantra was not something we plucked out of the air - we asked our parents, pupils, and staff - past and present - to provide three words they believed best described Campbell College. Campbell College first opened its doors in 1894 thanks to philanthropist Henry James Campbell and has been educating boys from all over the world ever since. The stunning 100-acre woodland campus sits on the edge of Belfast and the original redbrick Victorian building remains a striking centerpiece of the College today. Home to over 1200 boys aged 3-18, the College has added state-of-the-art facilities throughout its existence but the ethos remains true to the intentions of its founder. Respect, service, and leadership. With a Junior School, Senior School and a thriving international Boarding department the College represents one of the leading Boarding and Day Schools on the Island of Ireland. Our motto Ne Obliviscaris is born out of a history of leadership and service reflected particularly during the two world wars and our Royal Charter status was presented in 1951 in honor of those we lost. 5. Fueled by a higher calling, we provide a transformational learning experience that prepares students for servant leadership and equips them with skills and habits to make a difference in others' lives. Our colleges and schools are unique in their respective areas of expertise. However, they are united by our mission to lead with purpose and work together to offer interdisciplinary degree programs for our students. The mission of Campbell University is to graduate students with exemplary academic and professional skills prepared for purposeful lives and meaningful service. The University is informed and inspired by its Baptist heritage and three basic theological and biblical presuppositions: learning is appointed and conserved by God as essential to fulfilling human destiny in Christ. All things consist and find ultimate unity, and the Kingdom of God in this world is rooted and grounded in the Christian community. The University embraces the conviction that there is no conflict between the life of faith and the life of inquiry. The College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences prepares students to excel in the ever-expanding world of health care through degree programs that emphasize interprofessional education, service learning, and personalized training. Campbell Divinity prepares Christian leaders to serve through a holistic approach to theological education that integrates faith, academics, and practice. Campbell Medicine prepares community-based physicians who take a holistic approach to care and who focus on serving rural and underserved populations. Campbell Business offers graduate and professional degrees on its main campus and downtown Raleigh that serve full-time students and working professionals. Located in downtown Raleigh, Campbell Law School offers its students unmatched networking, externship, and learning opportunities that equip them with superb professional skills and prepare them for purposeful lives of leadership and service. The School of Education helps practicing professionals relate theory and research to current practice, trends, and issues through graduate programs in education, school administration, and counseling. Campbell University offers its students a variety of Academic Honor Societies. Honor Societies recognize students who excel academically or as leaders among their peers, often within a specific academic discipline. On Jan. 5, 1887, James Archibald Campbell, a 26-year-old Baptist minister, welcomed 16 students to a small church in Buies Creek, N.C., for the school's first day of classes he founded: Buies Creek Academy. By the end of the first term, there were 92 students. Since then, Buies Creek Academy has evolved to become Campbell Junior College (1926), Campbell College (1961), and Campbell University (1979). Throughout these transformations, the University has remained true to its founding principles to address the most pressing needs of North Carolina and to educate men and women for Christian service around the world. Since our founding in 1887, all of our programs, initiatives, and ambitions have grown out of our persistent commitment and our intentional pursuit to serve others for our community, nation, and world. We celebrate the start of each academic year with a weeklong series of activities and events. They include the Street Fair, where you can ride a camel, and the Party in the Park, where we hold a Mud Volleyball tournament. We welcome new students at a ceremony where they receive a medallion pressed with the university seal. The gift marks the start of their academic journey at Campbell. When you join the Campbell community, you join a student body that shows their pride on and off the bleachers. Wear your brightest orange on Wednesdays to let everyone know you're on the home team. The Kivett Bell once rang from the iconic Kivett Hall to signal the changing of classes. Now the bell rings after every Fighting Camels touchdown at Barker-Lane Stadium. Juniors and seniors receive their official class rings on Homecoming Saturday. Campbell ROTC cadets escort the rings from the bell tower to Butler Chapel to pay homage to history. West Point started class ring ceremonies in 1835. We invite our first-year students to take the field at the first home football game of the season. Why? So they can form a tunnel as our Fighting Camels run onto the field. Our mascot made his first appearance in 1934. Today, you can see him strutting at Fighting Camel's home games and even riding around the main campus on his tricycle. The campus community welcomes alumni home and celebrates Campbell with tailgates, a parade, and athletics contests, including a home football game. Even though the school is out in December, we are full of Christmas spirit. We start singing carols and hymns in November with the lighting of our tree on the Academic Circle. Hot chocolate included. We celebrate our founding in 1887 in the first week of February each year. The campus comes alive with a tribute to our founders and introspection on where we came from and where we are. Midnight Breakfast occurs twice a year on the eve of exams. Marshbanks opens at 10 p.m. and serves a full spread of eggs, bacon, pancakes, toast, and waffles. Free T-shirts, too. View full university
