Children at Carnarvon Christian School (CCS) are taught that we are all part of God's grand narrative. Paraphrasing what one Christian writer stated, "God has given us a Story to live in, and we need to learn to apply ourselves to the Story rather than the other way around applying the Bible to our worldview." Children are taught that the Scripture is not only a story of power but a story of love – genuine love, overflowing love for the world God has made. We prepare children not to live in a Christian bubble but to engage the culture and impact the world. Our response should be as it is written in Mark: 12:30 "…Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all y…

Choosing a school for your child is one of the most important decisions you will ever make. Carlisle is a learning community committed to providing high-quality Christian education designed to meet students' needs who are navigating their way through the 21st Century. To do their best in anything, a child needs to feel secure and valued. They need to know that they can achieve by putting in their best effort and feeling safe to try. Children do best in an environment that meets their needs, encourages, and celebrates their successes. Ridicule and bullying can destroy that willingness to try, to 'have a go,' which often lies at the base of success and genius. Suc…

The school's Christian beliefs are set out in the first 20 chapters of the Westminster Confession of Faith. The school believes that these chapters faithfully reflect what the Bible teaches about God and His plan for salvation through the death of His Son, Jesus Christ. Because the Bible is God's word, it forms the basis for thinking and understanding in every curriculum area. Because the Bible speaks about all of life, so does the school. Therefore, at Carinya, children are not sheltered inappropriately from what is ugly or unpleasant in the world. Instead, at an appropriate age, they are taught about the world they will need to confront for Christ as they grow to m…

Schools are primarily about young people, and especially about helping them become the best they can be. We offer our girls and boys every opportunity to grow into communicative, creative, critically-thinking, curious, and community-minded young adults. Carey students are offered flexible pathways to achieve their goals and develop clear strategies to achieve them. We expect our students to think, problem-solve, reflect, and respond to the meaningful feedback they receive. We also believe passionately in co-education and maintain a 50:50 balance of girls and boys across the whole school. We actively foster an environment in which healthy, respectful friendships are buil…

The College began teaching on Monday 2 February 1987 on its beautiful site overlooking the Logan River and its official opening ceremony in September. Originally named The College of the Good Shepherd, 73 students began across Years 6, 7, and 8. Students were taught by the Head, two full-time and three part-time teachers in two ex-mining development recreation huts until Stage 1 of the permanent buildings were available for use later that year. Parents, teachers, and students worked together to develop the land, originally a dairy farm, to build the school into a place that would provide quality academic, cultural, and sporting opportunities and facilities. It has continu…

Welcome to Cannon Hill Anglican College and to our website, which we trust will offer a glimpse of the unique learning environment highly valued by our community. Since the College's foundation in 1989, we have regarded the well-being of the individual as vital to the health of the whole community. We believe that young people primarily need a sense of belonging, a sense of being cared for, respected, and encouraged, and to know that there are exact moral and behavioral parameters, defined by Christian values, within which to live and learn in community. Our efforts are dedicated to nurturing such a climate. Set in a beautiful natural environment, this is a friendly sch…

Candlebark is a P-7 school, in other words, going from children’s first year at school through to Year 7 in 2018. We are lucky enough to enjoy what is probably the world’s biggest school campus: more than 1100 acres just north of Melbourne, Australia. In a lovely setting of native forests, European trees, and gardens, our students pursue knowledge and wisdom, food, and each other on bikes, scooters, and gardens, from log cabins perched above a creek and waterfall skateboards, and even sometimes on their own feet. Candlebark is a day school, is co-educational, draws its students mostly from the Macedon Ranges, and operates on a first-name basis. The school opened in …

Seventh-day Adventists have been pioneers in education and we are proud of our heritage and traditions. A key focus is providing excellence in teaching and learning through a challenging and inclusive curriculum In 1966, a small Christian primary school was established on what had once been a large dairy farm facing Broadwater Road. It was, in fact, one of the first independent Christian schools established in the Mt Gravatt area. In 1972, a secondary school was established over the creek, along Wishart Road. Both schools grew steadily until 1999 when they were amalgamated with the Early Learning Centre into one College. Since the amalgamation, the Colleg…

Beginning with two teachers and 29 students in 1980, we now cover two campuses in Charnwood and Lyneham, with 700 children and young people currently enrolled. Our students are taught to pursue a life of wisdom, integrity, service, and excellence in and through Christian Education. Preparing young people in a rapidly evolving world which can be volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous, demands that the significant adults in a young person's life lead and learn alongside them with purpose, compassion, and humility – that they know our young people well, that they love them well and teach them well. The Vision of Brindabella Christian College is to advance a com…
