  1. We are a learning community at the junction of knowledge and Christian faith. Students develop their God-given potential and prepare to lead uncommon lives of higher professional purposes to better self and community. All of the university's schools, programs, and initiatives are guided by shared fidelity to this central promise. Concordia University delivers an outstanding, Christian higher education, where faith and knowledge intertwine. From achievements in the classroom to our uncommon commitment to service, our Christ-centered mission to our intentional connection of faith and values, all that we do is the difference-maker—not only in the lives of our students and faculty but in our community and throughout the world. While our beautiful campus consists of 187 acres on the Huron River banks, it is indeed the people who make the campus. There is energy and curiosity and passion, all waiting to be tapped. Learn more about what campus life at CUAA can do for you. Concordia University Ann Arbor offers you more than a degree. You can learn thoroughly—in mind, body, and spirit—and be ultimately you. In class and out of class, you will make real connections—relationships that will last a lifetime with people who sincerely want to see you achieve your fullest potential. Are you looking for the full college life experience? Concordia's unique residence halls host 32 residents per building and offer spacious common areas for limitless bonding time that will create a lifetime of friendships and memories. No college experience is complete without dorm food (it is pretty amazing actually). There are plans for all dietary needs, emphasizing quality, and healthy food options every day. Your life at Concordia will take you far beyond the classroom. From service work to student organizations to mission trips, our students have opportunities to get out there, try new things, and make a real difference in the Church and world. Service is an integral part of the daily life and mission of Concordia University Ann Arbor. Not only is service a core value, as we strive to serve others in caring, helpful, and knowledgeable ways, but our mission is not fulfilled until our students go out into the Church and the world as servants of Christ. CUAA alumni assume significant servant leadership responsibilities in the Church and communities across the nation and the world because of their experiences as students, developing in global-mindfulness to transform lives, influence communities, and value their neighbors near and far. Some of the ways Concordia practices service is through a mission of the month, dedicating support to a project or organization in the area, sending students on mission trips, and various service initiatives of student clubs, organizations, teams, or departments. By creating and cultivating opportunities for the campus community to regularly serve our brothers and sisters in Christ, we demonstrate the love of Christ who came to earth not to be served but to serve. When you get involved at Concordia, you open yourself up to all kinds of possibilities: connections with fellow Concordians who share your same interests, opportunities to practice and apply what you have learned in the classroom, and the chance to serve others in ways that match the unique skill sets you have been given. Moreover, you can do all of this while having fun and making long-lasting memories. Most of the Concordia clubs have been chartered by the Student Government Association, which means they receive funding and are overseen by a student executive board. SGA gets its funding from the Student Government Program Fee that full-time students pay. In addition to overseeing clubs, SGA works with faculty, campus ministry, and the university's administration to represent students in all aspects of life at CUAA and make sure the student's voice is heard. We genuinely want you to achieve your unique purpose. Our community is a place where your faith and intellect can grow, and we are with you every step of the way. If you desire to learn and grow within a community where Jesus Christ is the center, then Concordia University Ann Arbor is where you belong. We care deeply about helping you develop your mind, body, and spirit to its fullest potential. Why? Because that is what God wants for your life. And so do we. Over 99% of undergraduates receive financial aid at Concordia, with an average of $23,395 per student awarded. Aid is available from many sources based on financial need, the field of study, academic record, underrepresented minorities, or your area of residence. While it can be much information to sift through, be proactive, and ask questions. We are here to help. Concordia University Ann Arbor is a supportive academic community committed to providing personalized education. Every student brings to Concordia unique God-given talents, passions, skills, and interests. We focus our attention on helping each student to find their place, their voice in the world. In all of our schools, we integrate learning with steadfast faith to equip you to think critically and wrestle with life's biggest questions.

Michigan Tech creates the future. We turn recycled water bottles into plastic filament, wood scraps into doorknobs, and make hybrid solar energy accessible for Upper Michigan residents. We monitor volcanoes and work with residents on their slopes to create a two-way understanding of socioeconomic and environmental impacts. Michigan Tech is not on the way to anywhere—and Huskies wouldn't have it any other way. When students are not in class or research, they participate in more than 220 student organizations, music and fine arts, and cultural events, including the Upper Peninsula of Michigan's largest multicultural festival, the Parade of Nations. Whether it's the All-Nighter frenzy to complete a Winter Carnival snow statue or chasing the Northern Lights right outside your dorm, there is a lot to do at MTU. Our 14 varsity athletic teams include our NCAA Division I men's ice hockey, NCAA Division II men's and women's sports, and intramurals (fact: one-third of MTU students play in broomball leagues). Our beautiful campus in Michigan's Upper Peninsula overlooks the Keweenaw (say "Kee-Wah-Nah") Waterway and is just a few miles from Lake Superior. The area's waters, forests, and snowfall (218 inches annually) offer skiing, snowboarding, hiking, biking, and paddling opportunities. Historic downtown Houghton is active with locally owned shops, eateries, high-tech companies, music festivals, and parades. We embrace our size, climate, sense of adventure, and originality. Michigan Tech would not be the same anywhere else on earth—and we would not have it any other way. Michigan Technological University is located in Houghton. Of the 30 safest college towns in America, Safewise says Michigan Tech is No. 19. The area is home to 12,000 residents and active with locally owned shops, eateries, high-tech companies, music festivals, and parades. Faculty, students, staff, and the community enjoy the University-owned ski, snowboard, tubing hill, golf course, recreation trails, and other outdoor adventure opportunities the Keweenaw Peninsula offers. From the depths of the world's largest freshwater lake by surface to 273,000 square feet of research space. From the first ideas scrawled on a whiteboard to licensed life-changing technologies. Clouds made to order, cold-weather performance testing, detecting vitamins in human tears— our proving grounds provide results. Research at Michigan Tech brings faculty, graduate and undergraduate students, community, government, and industrial partners together to create the future. Michigan Technological University began as the Michigan Mining School in Houghton in 1885. Established by Michigan's state to train mining engineers to operate the local copper mines better, the school started with four faculty members and 23 students on the second floor of a building on Montezuma Avenue in Houghton. The process culminated in fall 2016 with the creation of a five-year diversity, equity, and inclusion strategic plan, the appointment of Robert Sellers as the University's inaugural Chief Diversity Officer, and the development of the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, which oversees the campuswide implementation of the unit plans. In support of this mission, diversity.umich.edu provides transparency, timely updates, and various resources for the university community and the public. Throughout its 200 year history, diversity, equity, and inclusion have been intertwined in the University of Michigan fabric.
