- The beginning of Catanduanes State University (CSU) dates back to June 18, 1961, when the enactment of the Republic Act 3398 called for the establishments of Virac National and Agricultural Trade School (VNATS). Ten years after that, Republic Act (R.A.) 6341 authored by Congressman Jose M. Alberto, converted VNATS into Catanduanes State Colleges (CSC) on June 19, 1971. CSC started functioning as a tertiary educational institution on December 1, 1971, initially offering courses such as Associate in Business Education, Associate in Commerce, Bachelor of Science in Education, Master of Arts in Education, and Master of Arts in Commerce. Additional courses were offered on July 8, 1972, under R.A. 6590. On July 22, 1996, the Tenth Congress of the Republic of the Philippines enacted and approved Republic Act No. 8292, which provides for the uniform composition and powers of the governing board, the manner of appointment and term of office of the President of chartered state universities and colleges, and other purposes. Under Special Provision No. 2 of the CHED, F.Y. 1999 Budget under the General Appropriations Act of 1999 (R.A8745 or the integration of CHED Supervised Institutions to State Universities and Colleges), the Catanduanes Agricultural and Industrial College (CAIC) was integrated into CSC on October 31, 1999. Subsequently, under Board Resolution No. 15, s. 2003 that called for implementing an approved Revised Organizational Structure, CSC-CAIC Annex was renamed as CSC Panganiban Campus. The process of conversion of the CSC into a University began with former Congressman Leandro B. Verceles, Jr., then by the next Congressman, Joseph A. Santiago. But the conversion did not materialize during their respective terms of office. Finally, on March 29, 2011, during the First Regular Session of the 15th Congress of the Republic of the Philippines, House Bill No. 4170 entitled "An act converting the Catanduanes State Colleges in the province of Catanduanes, into a State University to be known as the Catanduanes State University, and appropriating funds therefor" was filed by Congressman Cesar V. Sarmiento and co-authored by Congressman Juan Edgardo M. Angara. Over a year after that, President Benigno S. Aquino III signed on October 19, 2012, Republic Act No. 10299 converting Catanduanes State Colleges (CSC) (Virac/Main and Panganiban Campus) into Catanduanes State University. On July 14, 2011, Dr. Minerva I. Morales was elected as the sixth President of the CSC. When CSC was converted into a University, she was designated by CHED as Officer-In-Charge from December 12, 2012, to March 24, 2013, in consonance with the provision of R.A. 10229. After topping the Search for Presidency evaluation, Dr. Morales was unanimous voted as the First President of CSU by the Board of Regents on March 25, 2013. The past Presidents of the CSC were: Mr. Pedro G. Tabuzo, 1971-1972 Dr. Jacinto A. Medallada, 1972-1986 Dr. Rodolfo V. Azanza,1986-1990 Dr. Adolfo S. Bagadiong, 1993-2003 and, Dr. Asuncion V. Asetre, 2003-2011. DECS Higher Education Division designated dr. Ernestina P. Averill as CSC OIC from 1990-1992. At present, CSU is enjoying the prestige of being the only comprehensive higher education institution in Catanduanes' island province as one of the dynamic SUCs in Bicol, offering a wide range of Academic Programs with its graduates topping various national licensure examinations. The strategic plan of the Catanduanes State University is anchored on the Roadmap of Public Higher Education Reform grounded on the Philippine Government's Social Contract with the Filipino People as contained in the Philippine Development Plan 2011-2016 and guided by CHED Memorandum Orders aimed at attaining quality assurance to keep pace with international policies and standards. The plan proposes university-wide goals and actions that crosscut or transcend colleges, schools, and administrative units. It suggests that the university can take even more significant advantage of its distributed strengths while reinforcing those strengths and facilitating the "bottom-up" blossoming of innovation and creativity characteristic of the college and schools. The relationship of individual academic units to the university's central administration should involve an ongoing dynamic interchange towards achieving the institution's vision of "A green University Globally Engage in Island Research and Innovations for Societal Advance. The challenge and opportunities of the Catanduanes State University's changing environment suggest the need for enhanced institutional capacity to act as a unit, that is, to chart strategic directions and mobilize its resources toward those directions. The Catanduanes State University offer courses which reflects the mandate of the institution to primarily provide advanced education, higher technological, professional instruction and training in a trade, commerce, fishery, agriculture, arts and sciences, industrial technology, nursing, midwifery, education, engineering, public administration, information technology and other relevant fields of study. The College of Arts and Sciences is one of the Colleges created in the Catanduanes State Colleges (CSC) when Congress passed Republic Act No. 6341 in 1971. R.A. 6341 converted the Virac National Agricultural and Trade School into Catanduanes State Colleges on June 19 1971. On November 17, 1971, the Board of Trustees of the CSC with Acting Secretary of Education Juan L. Manuel as Chairman approved Board Resolution No. 1, s. 1971, organizing the Board of Trustees of the Catanduanes State Colleges following Section 5 of Republic Act 6341, and Board Resolution No. 2, s. 1971, noting the Virac National Agricultural and Trade School's conversion in the Municipality of Virac, Catanduanes into a College to be known as the Catanduanes State Colleges under Section 1 of Republic Act 6341.

- The Hon founded republic Academy. Rafael L. Lazatin, with the support of his spouse, Loreto Paras Feliciano. Hon. Rafael L. Lazatin, a prominent agriculturist and industrialist, was a two-term. Mayor of Angeles City and provincial board member, two-term governor, and Batasang Pambansa Assemblyman is representing the Province of Pampanga. The Founder was aptly guided by his great faith in the Lord and inspired by his unquenchable desire to serve the public. He was also driven by the public clamor for quality education to answer the pressing need at the time – a school servicing many adolescents who could not be accommodated at the Pampanga High School, then the only public high school in the province. A year after the high school department's opening, in 1947, the elementary department was also opened. In the same year, upon the parent's and students' requests, college courses were also offered so that high school graduates may continue theirs. Education without having to go to Manila. Thus was born the "Republic Junior College." Standard and Education courses were also offered. In 1949, the education-conscious masses and the many employees in nearby Clark Air Base requested other courses; thus, the College of Commerce and Liberal Arts was opened. The "Republic Junior College" was given the name "Republic Central Colleges" with government recognition granted to all its courses. Heeding the country's need for Citizen Army Training, the Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) was permitted to be organized and function by the Philippines' Armed Forces on June 8, 1957. This was the first ROTC unit organized in Pampanga.
- We envision Lorma Colleges as an educational institution with a global perspective– emphasizing quality, Christian values, and leadership skills relevant to national development. Our mission is to empower the students for service anywhere in the world through Christian-inspired, quality-driven, and service-oriented education and training. The rich countries of the world face trying times these days. Developing countries are not far behind. Financial severe problems and significant natural calamities seem to be more frequent when compared with previous years. But the Philippines still has many blessings to be thankful for. How do we prepare for an uncertain future? First and foremost is to be close to God, study His Word, and make Him essential in our lives. The second is to bloom, where we are planted. This means doing our best in whatever role we find ourselves. The future will be different from today. Jobs that do not exist today will appear. Therefore we need to be lifetime learners to prepare ourselves for the future. This means learning to read faster to learn more in the time we have available. There are books on speed reading. Get one and practice increasing your reading speed. Keep also developing your people skills. Knowledge is not enough. The classic book by Dale Carnegie on "How to Win Friends and Influence People" is still the best source of useful tips. Get a copy and learn. Leaders, teachers, and personnel of LORMA COLLEGES will focus on contributing to students' high-quality education in a conducive and Christian atmosphere to produce skilled, service-oriented graduates who can serve well anywhere in the world. At present, the school has a group of 8 colleges, a graduate school, an institute, and a basic education program (pre-school, grade school, and high school) with over 4,000 students enrolling yearly. Crispina Lorenzana-Macagba.Aptly named Lorma refers to the first syllable of the founder's surname Lorenzana and MAcagba. The school grew from a small nursing school to a higher education recognized as its best performing school. With a solid record of recognitions received for its exemplary performance in the Board Examinations in paramedical courses, including Nursing, Radiologic Technology, and Physical Therapy from 1989 to present, Lorma continues to produce the most significant number of board topnotchers in the region. LORMA COLLEGES Basic Education Department prepares pupils and students for a fulfilling and productive life. Their skills and attributes are constantly challenged, developed, and applied as part of their lifelong learning. The education that they received is beyond the confines of the classroom. The school has already gone a long way in providing the programs and services that confer to students' different needs, all directed toward the valuing of Holistic Student Development. The school cares deeply for the whole pupil and student experience. It seeks to identify and facilitate opportunities to integrate life and learning, including advocating experiential learning inside and outside the classroom. - The school seeks to form students as candidates for Heaven, each one loved and respected as a unique person - indeed a child of God. To this end, we train the students to seek what is right, fair, and beautiful, educating them in an atmosphere of Catholic culture where the Catholic Faith is taught in its fulness, the life of virtue seriously pursued and academic excellence promoted as a real and great human value. Our patroness and inspiration are St Mary of the Cross, the first Australian-born canonized saint. Saint Mary MacKillop Colleges, Wagga Wagga, was founded in 2007 by Bill and Joanne Andrews as an independent school in the Catholic tradition. Bill and Joanne Andrews became increasingly concerned about the state of Catholic education, and they saw a need for a school dedicated to sound Catholic formation and solid academic teaching. The Andrews have worked to make this vision a reality. After extensive prayer and consultation with priests, religious and interested laity, Bill and Joanne realized that the venture was in accord with God'sGod's Will. Several public meetings were held to gauge public interest, and the Conventual Sisters of St Dominic and lay teachers agreed to teach in the school. Although outside the Catholic School System, the Colleges are regarded as an essential means for the spread of the Catholic Faith through the cooperation of dedicated priests, religious and lay-people. Our teachers and ancillary staff are committed to the Catholic faith and seek to adhere to the Church'sChurch's requirements. Saint Mary MacKillop Colleges desires to serve all Catholic children. To this end, the school is committed to helping all families, particularly those blessed with many children and lesser financial means. The school's further growth and development rely on the generosity of our benefactors in both monetary and prayerful support. Our benefactors are remembered in weekly Masses at school and in daily prayers.
- Saint Mary MacKillop College Albury is an independent school with a genuinely Catholic ethos. The School motto is Verum, Pulchrum, et Bonum (Truth, Beauty, and Goodness). Catholics believe that we live in a universe created by a loving God. Everything in the cosmos bears the stamp of the Creator – it is right, beautiful, and useful. Education is about encouraging our students to develop by seeking out the truth, beauty, and goodness. This will point them, ultimately, towards the God who created them. The school was founded in 2009 and catered for years Kinder to Year 12. While the school is independent of the Catholic Diocese of Wagga Wagga, it has a strong Catholic ethos with a religious education based on the Catechism of the Catholic Church and an emphasis on the lives of the saints as role models. This school has as its foundation Christ and His Revelation. Its entire motivation and final goal are to be found in the principles of the Gospel. A right school is one ordered for the authentic good of human persons. Each of our Catholic school students must be seen as a candidate for Heaven. Indeed, each must be seen as Christ in need: "Truly I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me... Our children must feel loved as individual persons. They must be guided in the training of their freedom to seek what is right and good freely. The school must be seen as a Catholic formation place, prayer, and work (including rigorous academic labor and cultural endeavor). This will include a cultural atmosphere in which all the Christian virtues can be developed, and intellectual knowledge personally and deeply imbibed – because although academic excellence is an important and necessary goal of the school, it is not sufficient. The school's educational aim is the critical communication of the human culture and the total development of the individual, according to a specifically Christian vision of reality. Here, absolute values, including the absolute value of the individual human person, are conveyed in a life-context, stimulating the pupils to exercise their intelligence and helping them to discern real and positive cultural factors from false and destructive ones, using the teaching of Christ as their yardstick. We aim: To provide pupils with the norms and procedures for rational thought. To present them with the truth and with the methods they may use to arrive at and justify it. To teach them the critical skills needed for prudent judgment. To help them to know the teaching of the Gospel and to build it into their lives. To teach them the Christian way of life using Christ's life as their model. To discern in the universe the God whom it reveals and take from the world around them all that is good and compatible with Christianity. The specific role of the school is the Christian formation of its students. It exists to help them take on the lifelong personal conversion that Christian life entails, encourage them to give themselves to God in prayer and reception of the Sacraments, and overcome selfish individualism and grow in all the virtues. They help discover their specific vocation as how they will do God's Will and reach human fulfillment. This role is accomplished by an integration of Faith and Life, which involves: The systematic and coherent teaching of the truths of Catholic doctrine. Instruction in the principles and doctrines of Christian morality. A particular emphasis on the three theological virtues and the four cardinal virtues. Recognition and evaluation of the spiritual implications to be found in day-to-day situations. Class and school prayer – primarily liturgical prayer. Opportunities for spiritual reading and silent, personal prayer, including Eucharistic adoration. Studies of the writings and lives of the saints. We aim to help our students to realize that they are called to be living witnesses and apostles, and we give them opportunities to share their faith with others in the broader community and to giving service to the needy.

- Located on 320 acres in the heart of New York State's Finger Lakes Region, Hobart and William Smith are independent liberal arts colleges distinctive for providing highly individualized educations. Guided by a curriculum grounded in exploration and rigor, the Colleges prepare students to think critically. In partnership with the Geneva and global communities and through robust programs in career development, study-abroad, service, leadership, and athletics, the Colleges foster an environment that values global citizenship, teamwork, ethics, inclusive excellence, and cultural competence. Under the mentorship of faculty, Hobart and William Smith students gain the necessary clarity to be competitive when seeking employment. They win prestigious fellowships like the Rhodes, Gates Cambridge, Udall, Fulbright, and Goldwater. They gain admittance to the best graduate programs in the country. They go on to lead lives of consequence. The Colleges enjoy a rich heritage based on a two-college system rooted in interdisciplinary teaching and research. Originally founded as two separate colleges (Hobart for men in 1822 and William Smith for women in 1908), HWS now operates under a coordinate college system. All students share the same campus, faculty, administration, and curriculum. Each College maintains its traditions, deans, student government, and athletic department, giving students additional leadership opportunities. The Colleges are defined by a longstanding focus on educating and thinking across academic disciplines and the close work of research and creativity that connects faculty and students.' Explore, Collaborate, Act,' the animating principle that unifies the HWS curriculum, embodies the transformational purpose of our education: to develop each student's capacity for analytical, expressive, empathetic, critical, and practical reasoning and communication, which can be carried forward into life, work and the world. Students live and learn on campus in a vibrant environment that celebrates difference, values collaboration, and builds community. The advancement of this community rests in a shared series of signature experiences that encourage the formation of connections between faculty and students, transcending the traditional borders of the classroom and residence hall. These experiences include the First-Year Seminar, study abroad, service-learning, the guaranteed internship, and the capstone project. At HWS, there exists a widespread and compelling commitment to learning through service, educating students who are civically engaged, and graduates who are active citizens. Geneva's size, location, diversity, and opportunities make it big enough for students to examine the real-world applications of various fields of study yet small enough to propose solutions and put them in action. Under the guidance of faculty and community partners, students create meaningful change and learn how to scale that change to advance the common good in other communities around the nation and the world. Students are pushed beyond the familiar and the narratives of experience to understand and embrace multiple identities and experiences. The result is a culture of respect on campus, one grounded in all people's inherent dignity and that students carry with them when they graduate. The families of our students play an essential role in the HWS community. The Office of Parent Relations supports special family programming for events, including new student Orientation in August, Homecoming and Family Weekend in September, and Commencement in May. To provide safety, security, essential services, and other personalized assistance to the Hobart and William Smith Community in a manner that exceeds expectations. We are dedicated to the vision of service and putting people first. Students, parents, faculty, staff, visitors, and the Geneva community members are our priority. We will always make ourselves available to serve their needs, go above and beyond, and exceed expectations. We value the differences in people as individuals and the richness that diversity brings to our institution. At all times, we will display an attitude of respect for and protect the dignity, worth, and rights of all we serve. We will maintain a work environment grounded in respect, support, acceptance, and personal accountability. We will actively strive to respond to all situations and all persons in a fair, unbiased, open-minded, and objective manner. We shall maintain an atmosphere of openness and transparency as our responsibility and commitment to the campus community. We value the trust placed in our organization and its members by our campus community. We will earn that trust by being responsible for our actions, willing to acknowledge our mistakes, and recognizing them as opportunities to learn, grow, and improve. We will demonstrate integrity by maintaining a sound moral compass and engaging in ethical practices in our interactions with all persons. We take pride in being members of the Hobart and William Smith community and the Office of Campus Safety. We demonstrate this pride by exhibiting a unified and professional presence in our community. We understand that working cooperatively and collaboratively with all campus community segments enhances our efficiency and ability to deliver the highest quality campus safety services. Founded as two separate colleges (Hobart for men in 1822 and William Smith for women in 1908), Hobart and William Smith students share the same campus, faculty, administration, and curriculum. Through a sophisticated career development program and under the mentorship of faculty, students gain the necessary clarity to be competitive when seeking employment, win prestigious fellowships, and gain admittance to the country's best graduate programs. - The multi-sided dilemma higher education faces today in Saudi Arabia is how to plan for and implement new technologies, how to absorb an ever-increasing number of high school graduates, and how to train, upgrade personnel, and maintain old systems without spending exorbitant amounts of money. At the same time, institutions are challenged with shifting demographics, rising student expectations, overburdened traditional government educational institutions, government mandates, and increased competition. Due to such factors, universities in Saudi Arabia must adapt their traditional roles, without abandoning them, to the demands of the information society of the future or to adopt a mix of traditional/non-traditional approaches to higher education. Although the government has invested heavily in higher education, which has grown impressively over the last three decades, the country's human resources potential is not fully utilized. Higher education needs to be expanded, both horizontally by establishing institutions in regions that lack facilities at this level and vertically by diversifying the types of institutions and their programs in keeping with recognized priorities of the country and recent advances in health sciences and technology. While the government will continue to be the leading provider of higher education, the urgent need for Saudi Arabia to meet pressing demands calls and an essential contribution from the private sector, there is a favorable climate for private initiatives in developing higher education in Saudi Arabia, with due consideration to quality assurance regulations and mechanisms set by the Ministry of Education (MOE) and the National Commission for Accreditation and Academic Assessment (NCAA). Almaarefa Colleges for Science & Technology (MCST) is a private establishment of higher education, designed to fulfill a recognized public function by meeting identified needs in important domains for national development. By adopting an innovative approach to teaching and learning, by using cutting-edge educational technologies, MCST attracts students from a broadly targeted clientele, namely high school graduates (both male and female) from the Riyadh region, from other regions of Saudi Arabia, and the GCC states. It is also envisioned to attract expatriaexpatriates ' daughters who wish to pursue college studies. Also, MCST attracts Diploma graduates from various health specialties through a bridging program. To prepare students to meet the modern professional requirements in the medical and computer fields in a technologically advanced setting that encourages initiative and leadership, provide a professional academic environment for its faculty, and excel in community services. To qualify and develop professionals in the field of medicine, pharmacy, nursing, allied health, computer science, and information system for both private and government sectors so they can make a significant contribution to the development of the economic and social sectors in Saudi Arabia by achieving excellence in education through high-quality teaching and using the most modern pedagogy. The Saudi Ministry of Education licenses MCST, and its degrees are fully accredited. The academic majors and curriculum have been designed and approved by King Abdullah Institute for Research and Consulting Studies (KAI-RCS) at King Saud University. The scientific references for these programs are international accreditation bodies, scientific associations, and top universities. More than forty experts with doctorate degrees and medical boards and fellowship have participated in the College curriculum design. MCST recognizes that a competent and dedicated faculty is the core of a high-quality educational program. To this end, MCST facilitates its faculty's development by providing an environment that nurtures individual efforts and professional growth. MCST encourages all its faculty members to provide high-quality instruction, intellectual contributions, and service activities. In pursuit of its mission, MCST continuously assesses its programs and improve services to all of its constituents.
