  1. At Kilburn Grange School the education we offer ensures that every pupil achieves confidence and success through high-quality educational experiences, with a broad, balanced, and enriching curriculum that has an emphasis on core learning and a key focus on ICT. At Kilburn Grange School the pupils develop the ability to communicate in an intelligent, articulate, and confident manner. The pupils learn in a stimulating, safe, and welcoming environment, with first-class educational experiences to enable all children to thrive. Our ultimate aim is to instill a love for learning and a desire to be motivated, to enable the pupils to become proud of their achievements and become responsible future citizens. Education at Kilburn Grange School will be for life. It is the aim that each student will leave the school, not only with the best possible educational attainment, particularly in the basic skills of literacy and numeracy but also with the skills and attitudes needed to succeed and achieve fulfillment in a changing world, to make a positive contribution as responsible and valuable members of society. Through Kilburn Grange School’s high expectations for all children’s learning, there is a strong moral purpose and a unique ethos of warmth and respect to educate children. Our school is a place that inspires and engages children’s minds and hearts. Our school believes in a democracy and the laws of the country, where every individual has a voice that is heard and respected. Let’s stop the hate and collaborate! At Kilburn Grange School we put the children at the heart of everything we do for them to learn. Enjoy. Succeed. – Wonder, Enjoy, Collaborate, Aspire, Reflect, Endeavour. Welcome to Kilburn Grange School, a two-form entry, primary free school based in Brent. We opened in September 2015 with our first year of children and their families. As you will see from our vision statement, the children are at the heart of everything we do and as we grow, we will continue to meet the needs of all of the children in our care. We have a highly qualified, dedicated team of staff with specialized skills to ensure the pupils have a provision that is catered to their individual needs. One of our strengths is our engaging and rich curriculum, which enables the pupils not only to take ownership and pride over their learning but most of all, to have fun. At Kilburn Grange School we follow the Early Years and Foundation Stage Statutory Framework and design our curriculum to ensure this is met. The curriculum is broad and balanced, providing opportunities for pupils of all stages of development and backgrounds to succeed. There is a focus on core learning and the use of ICT is integral, enabling all pupils to gain full access to the curriculum. At Kilburn Grange School we follow a topic-based approach. Each half-term children learn about a new topic, which feeds into an overarching theme for the term. The children explore stories and write, as well as activities linked to the other areas of learning linked that topic. From the Reception Class to Year 6 in Key Stage 2, Kilburn Grange School offers a curriculum suitable for our inclusive intake that meets the needs of all pupils and leads to high standards of academic and personal achievement. Learning in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 is based on the National Curriculum and at times entails formal teaching of spelling, punctuation, and grammar as part of our emphasis on literacy. ICT provision is innovative and supports all learners. Throughout all the age ranges we ensure that RE and PSHE are taught so that the pupils can learn core values and beliefs from the very start. This includes learning Spiritual, Moral, Social, and Cultural aspects of life and fundamental British Values, where they regard people of all faiths, races, and cultures with respect and tolerance. Children also learn that different people may hold different views about what is ‘right’ and ‘wrong.’

  4. Keyworth is a special place where we are dedicated to providing a stimulating, exciting environment where everyone feels valued and safe, ideas can flourish and pupils can realize their full potential. By providing a well-structured and engaging curriculum, and by promoting good behavior through our Golden Rules, we aim to enthuse in all children a love of learning as well as respect and care for each other. Whatever the needs of your child and whatever special interests they have, we aim to ensure your child thrives at Keyworth feeling safe, having fun, and enjoying success. We want our pupils’ time in our school to be memorable and believe we provide a caring environment where every child is valued as an individual and where diversity is celebrated. We provide an excellent range of extracurricular and enrichment activities that we encourage every child to take advantage of. The vision for our school is based upon the belief that all pupils can and want to learn. We are a school that fosters a healthy learning environment, which is committed to the achievement and developing individual talent. We want to do the best for every child at every age to develop their physical, intellectual, spiritual, moral, social, and emotional intelligence. Our school is dedicated to raising standards in learning and teaching. Our school creates and maintains a safe, happy, sensitive, stimulating, and inclusive atmosphere, inviting to adults and pupils. We are a reflective school that has a culture of continuous improvement. This includes listening to the pupils’ voice through self-reflection and self-assessment. We see this as one of the essential elements of school improvement. Everyone in the school is of equal value. All members of the school team have complementary roles, responsibilities, skills, and abilities that enable all pupils to reach their full potential. Our school understands the importance of enabling children to learn in different ways. This is why our school highly values all creative activities. We believe in developing the healthy citizen of the future who can contribute to the wider community, society in general and has a desire to protect the environment. Every child deserves the best possible start in life and the support that enables them to fulfill their potential. Children develop quickly in the early years and a child’s experiences between birth and age five have a major impact on their future life chances. A secure, safe, and happy childhood is important in its own right. Good parenting and high-quality early learning together provide the foundation children need to make the most of their abilities and talents as they grow up. The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) sets the standards that all early years providers must meet to ensure that children learn and develop well and are kept healthy and safe. It promotes teaching and learning to ensure children’s ‘school readiness and gives children a broad range of knowledge and skills that provide the right foundation for good future progress through school and life. Seven areas of learning and development must shape educational programs in early years settings. All areas of learning and development are important and inter-connected. Three areas are particularly crucial for igniting children’s curiosity and enthusiasm for learning, and for building their capacity to learn, form relationships, and thrive. Communication and language Physical development Personal, social, and emotional development Mathematics Literacy Understanding the world Expressive arts and design At Keyworth, we aim to ensure that all children are happy, secure individuals who achieve their full potential in all areas of learning. For most children, this will simply mean being the recipient of good quality whole-class teaching. For others, there will be a need for additional small group work for short periods. For some children, intervention may be ongoing, very specific, and delivered on a one-to-one basis. We aim to establish a sporting culture that enables and encourages all children to play and enjoy the sport. We have established several after-school clubs for our pupils offering a wide variety of sporting opportunities for our children. We enter numerous school sport competitions to allow children to be competitive and are constantly developing our PE program. View full school

  6. The words of our school maxim say it all – an inspiring, insistent and positive ‘can do’ mindset that we endeavor to impress upon and instill in our children as they pursue excellence and grow their talent. Throughout their time with us the children develop personal qualities and values through the School’s ‘I Can’ Programme. These qualities include Self Awareness (knowing and valuing themselves) Self-Regulation (ability to manage their feelings) Motivation (working towards goals with persistence, resilience, and optimism) Empathy (awareness of others’ thoughts and feelings), and Social Skills (building and maintaining relationships). The values include courage, determination, and excellence. Besides we expect every learner to achieve at least nationally expected age and stage standards in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics as well as developing wider skills and knowledge through an engaging and motivating curriculum. At Keys Meadow, we constantly look out for and offer opportunities for our children to step out of and ‘grow’ their comfort zones. For example, children in Year 4 are offered the chance to live and work on a farm in Gloucestershire for a week Year 6 can apply to be part of a crew on a sailing voyage in the English Channel all our annual Athletics Days take place at the Olympic standard training facility of the Lea Valley Athletics Centre in 2013 our successful football team represented our school and country at a European tournament in Germany every two years Year 5 and 6 stage their end of year show at a real theatre where they manage the front of the house, lighting, visual effects, sound, props, costumes, stage make-up and marketing the show as well as performing! The children staged Shakespeare’s ‘The Tempest’ at The Millfield Theatre in 2011 and ‘Macbeth’ at The Dugdale Theatre in 2013. We believe these, and other innovative projects like them, help boost aspirations in our pupils, broaden their horizons and raise awareness of their options for the future to maximize their potential. We insist that the quality of teaching at our school is at least good and we are implementing and monitoring a clear plan to ensure all our practice is at this standard or better and is continually improving and developing. The award-winning indoor environment has been designed and set up so that the children feel comfortable, secure, and able to engage and learn effectively. Outside, our impressive grounds provide a variety of spaces creating a range of settings for study, learning, teaching, play, and socialize. Keys Meadow Primary School is committed to providing a challenging, demanding, creative curriculum that responds to the whole child’s physical, social, and emotional as well as intellectual needs. We believe that a strong school ethos (a nurturing climate for learning where excellence is expected from all), an insistent “can do” approach, a belief that ‘talent is grown, not born’, raising self-esteem and positive behavior management are the keys to achievement. 8. Kew House School is a co-educational independent senior school. In September 2013, a new independent senior school opened its doors for the first time in West London. The founding of Kew House School, the third school managed by Gardener Schools Group, follows the establishment of Ravenscourt Park Preparatory School in 1991 and Kew Green Preparatory School in 2004. Parents at these successful and heavily over-subscribed schools had consistently urged the Gardener Schools Group to open a co-educational senior school for students aged 11 to 18 years. The initial dream of molding the development of young people from age four to young adulthood is now underway. The school seeks to attract intelligent students with a confident sense of identity and an original approach to learning, problem-solving, and creativity. To this end, our selection process places greater emphasis on feeder school profiles, portfolios of work, and interviews alongside the entrance testing. Our year groups are selected as a cohort of students with a blend of complementary individual talents, rather than merely the top 10% of 11+ examinees. Students at Kew House School will be encouraged to consider the broad spectrum of higher educational opportunities on offer in this country and abroad, commensurate with the pursuit of excellence in any chosen field. For many, this will mean university, but we will foster relationships with prestigious colleges specializing in specific subjects and skills. We are proud to offer a more flexible learning environment and structure, with facilities open for learning and leisure during the extended day, at weekends, and traditional school holidays. Concerts, exhibitions, lectures by eminent speakers, cookery demonstrations - there is always something going on! The restaurant and cafe are available for students to entertain friends in the evenings or for parents to catch up over coffee whilst waiting for their children to finish lessons. Families and members of the local community are very much a part of the school. In the 21st century, most secondary schools remain firmly modeled on traditional independent schools and state grammar schools. It is time for a change. Adolescents now mature socially and emotionally at a much younger age and an appropriate learning environment must reflect this. At Kew House School we respect each student as a valuable individual and work in partnership with students and parents to promote his/her success, welfare and happiness. KHS benefits from having a smaller student roll than many independent senior schools. This allows us to provide the flexibility and individualized attention needed to enable students to fulfill their potential. We recognize and enhance the individual abilities of each child, welcoming students with varying academic profiles and placing emphasis on confidence, self-esteem, and creativity. We believe this approach produces excellent academic results. We believe in providing a rich and broad education to all students whatever their specialism, pursuing excellence in all areas whether examinable or not. Whilst we aim to achieve the highest academic results for each student, we will not serve as an examination “factory”. Our “Individuals in Society” (IS) course focuses on personal development, emotionally, practically, and intellectually throughout each student's life at the school via regular, timetabled sessions and extensions of the school day. 10. Our school is dedicated to providing the best possible education for every pupil in a stimulating and safe environment. We follow a rich curriculum and aim to make learning exciting and engaging by including lots of skills-based learning within our lessons. We are committed to all aspects of education and development, encouraging families to work in partnership with us to realize our aim, of successfully helping each child to achieve their full potential. The staff at Kew Riverside have high expectations of all the children and would like them to leave school as confident, polite, and independent young people, with the appropriate skills, values, and learning to become successful in whatever their eventual career paths will be. We are very proud of the children who attend Kew Riverside and all of their achievements, across all areas of school life and beyond. All school places are allocated by the London Borough of Richmond of Upon Thames. Please follow the link below for information from the Local Authority. However, we also ask prospective parents to contact the school if they wish to attend one of our open mornings. We constantly monitor the progress of our children and have an ongoing dialogue with our parents. Pupils are formatively assessed on an ongoing basis. These are shared with parents at termly parent consultations and the children's attainment and progress are currently reported in writing annually. At the end of each Key Stage, in Y2 and Y6, children take national assessments (SATs), which are both teachers assessed and externally moderated. All schools are inspected by Ofsted every 3 to 5 years. Also, schools receive yearly performance data, called Raise Online, which is collated by the Department of Education. Recently Ofsted has launched the School Data Dashboard, which provides a snapshot of school performance at Key Stages 1 and 2.Schools receive a Pupil Premium Grant (PPG) for children entitled to free school meals (FSM) to help raise their attainment. The Pupil Premium is government funding that is allocated to children from low-income families who are currently known to be eligible for free school meals in both mainstream and non-mainstream settings and children who have been looked after continuously for more than six months. We want your children to be safe online, whether that be in school, at home, or another location. There is good evidence that schools can help all children develop essential social and emotional skills through delivering bespoke sessions designed to cultivate these skills, through ensuring broader opportunities are capitalized on to reinforce skills across the curriculum and through whole-school modeling of these skills. Social and emotional skills prevent poor mental health from developing, help all children cope effectively with setbacks, and remain healthy. These whole-school programs are noted to benefit all children but particularly those who are at most risk. Schools can support these children by providing them with additional help to understand and manage their thoughts, feelings, and behavior and build skills that help them to thrive, such as working in a team, persistence, and self-awareness. We value your views as members of the school community and where possible, seek out your feedback so that we can improve your and your child's experience of the school. From time to time, we will use questionnaires and surveys and report back those findings to you and the actions we propose taking. At Kew Riverside Primary School, we believe getting active and educated is a perfect way to kick off the start of a new term. Keeping that in mind, the Fit For Sport team has planned lots of new and exciting activities to keep our pupils active and engaged whilst learning the benefits of leading a healthy lifestyle. In 2003 Kew Riverside officially opened its doors to the community, with a clear vision to help every child find their music and reach their potential. The founders of the school created an informal environment, with no doors on the classrooms and where everyone is on a first-name basis, intending to provide a dynamic, creative curriculum that encourages and welcomes the voice, engagement, and independence of every child. In the early years, children are encouraged to settle in, find their feet, develop friendships and learn through play. Throughout the school, topics are used to support and inspire children engagingly and creatively. We believe children will learn through experience, by walking the towpath along the River Thames, visiting local museums and libraries, discovering the natural world at Kew Gardens, as well as meeting Henry VIII at Hampton Court Palace. And as they get older and more independent they will be braving the zip wire, giant swing, and testing their resolve on our residential trips. View full school

  12. Kew Green Preparatory School is housed in an attractive building, surrounded by mature trees and nestled in a peaceful corner of Kew Green. It is flanked by The Royal Botanical Gardens and The River Thames and we use these regularly along with the green itself. Children thrive in an environment that is loving and supportive. Physically, socially, emotionally, and intellectually – our children develop and achieve their full potential in their time with us. Our aim is that they leave as skilled and adaptable young citizens who will grow to meet the challenges of the 21st century. We believe in a broad and balanced curriculum, nurturing creativity, and the development of high self-esteem in each child. We enthusiastically share our children’s education with their parents through our “open door policy”. Kew Green is a thriving school community where laughter and enjoyment go hand in hand with the process of delivering a first-rate education. Kew College is a non-selective, family-oriented, co-educational, independent school for children from 3 to 11 years of age. It is advisable to register your child for entry to the Nursery as soon as possible. You may register your child from birth. Registered siblings are given priority. Non-registered siblings cannot be guaranteed a place in the school. Priority is also given to children of former Kew College pupils. Being registered does not guarantee a place at Kew College. We have two Nursery classes, one in the morning and one in the afternoon – known respectively as Nursery Red and Nursery Yellow. We hold Open Mornings in June and September for parents of children registered to start in the Nursery the following calendar year. These Open Mornings are part of the admissions process and you must attend one of these events. Parents may visit the school at other times by arrangement with the Registrar. Places are offered in the Autumn term in the year before entry. Once offers are made, we require a deposit equal to half of the termly fees for the main school to secure a place. The deposit is reimbursed when your child leaves Year 6. In the Lower School (ages 4-7), a secure foundation of basic skills is laid. Particular attention is given to numeracy and all aspects of literacy - reading, spelling, handwriting, and comprehension. Oral and listening skills are also developed. These essential skills are fostered across the whole curriculum. At the same time, individual and creative expression is nurtured and encouraged. Pupils have the same class teacher for the majority of lessons. We have expert specialist teachers who will teach the children in Lower School for Music, French, Art, and PE/Games. Upper School pupils (ages 7-11) also have a class teacher, but many of their lessons are given by subject specialists. For all age groups, the maximum class size is 20. At every stage, the children are given awareness and understanding of the world around them. Our curriculum is enlivened and enriched by visitors to the school, educational trips, and clubs. We aim to relate academic learning to the real world beyond the classroom, whether this is with visits to our neighbor The Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew, botany lessons by the River Thames, or by meeting eminent guests who come to speak at the school. Parents are often involved in this and we encourage them to bring as much as possible to the daily life of the school. At Kew Green Preparatory School we take our responsibility to prepare children for life in modern Britain very seriously. We ensure that the fundamental British Values of mutual respect, understanding, and tolerance for those with different cultures, faiths, or beliefs democracy, rule of law, and respect for self and others are introduced, discussed, and lived out through our ethos which underpins the work of the school. All curriculum areas provide a vehicle for furthering understanding of these concepts and, in particular, work in RE, SMSC, PSHCE, and Current Affairs lessons provide excellent opportunities to deepen and develop this understanding. Children embrace these concepts with enthusiasm and demonstrate a good understanding of their application in their own lives. The school makes considerable efforts to ensure children have exposure to a wide range of experiences beyond their local community to help them understand these concepts. This is achieved through sporting events, residential visits, trips and visitors, cultural exploration, and celebration of a diverse range of religious and cultural groups. Our children will develop an excellent values-based understanding of fundamental British Values which gives them an excellent platform for understanding, celebrating, and embracing differences with tolerance and integrity. e encourage and expect good behavior from our pupils. This is based on a whole-school ethos of care and tolerance for others rather than on a long list of rules and regulations. The primary purpose of discipline in a school is to allow effective learning to take place. A calm and ordered environment is needed for this and all our pupils are expected to behave accordingly. High expectations in behavior, as in learning, generally produce excellent results. The Headmaster reserves the right to exclude any pupil for bad behavior pending discussions with parents and, ultimately, to require the removal of a disruptive pupil from the school. Kew College

At Kew College we encourage every child to think independently and critically, to be continuously inquisitive and self-reflective true individuals who are aware of the changing world in which they live. We place a great emphasis on rooting out and nurturing every pupil's talent and celebrating their achievements. As a result, not only do our children operate at a high academic level, they move on to secondary school with a concrete sense of their strengths and a confidence that goes hand in hand with that self-belief. This is coupled with a gracious sense of humility the realization that the way forward in tomorrow's world is through cooperation and teamwork. The youngest members of our school enter Kew College in Nursery. Their classrooms are designed around the EYFS curriculum, offering ample space and resources to support children's learning and development at the very beginning of their school lives. Our dedicated teachers create learning areas that are bright and stimulating, with an atmosphere of warmth, happiness, and encouragement. A child's experience in the Early Years has a major impact on their future life and learning, therefore, we want your child to enjoy coming to school. We aim to make every day a joyful, positive, and creative experience. We help to support your child's curiosity and independence, giving them the confidence to blossom. As well as addressing the academic aspects of the curriculum, we teach our children about the importance of friendship, to care for and respect each other, to value co-operation, and to be tolerant of all differences. We aim to give all of our children the best possible start in life and the support to reach their potential. Years 1 and 2 builds on the secure foundation established in EYFS, gradually moving to a more formal learning approach by Year 2. Each class is taught by their class teacher for the majority of the week. This allows teachers to get to know each pupil and to support them to achieve their full potential. Particular attention is given to developing numeracy and literacy skills. Lessons are engaging and stimulating. Children are encouraged to play an active role in their learning, to think for themselves, and to make connections with their own experiences and the world around them. Our pupils develop a passion for reading through regular individual reading sessions and group or class reading lessons, which allow stories to be shared and responded to collectively. Pupils progress through the Rigby Star Reading Scheme, which incorporates both fiction and non-fiction books. They look forward to their weekly visits to the school library where they borrow books and enjoy interactive stories read by our enthusiastic librarian, Mrs. Mogilner. Children are inspired to explore different genres as well as pursuing their interests. In addition to learning the core subjects, our pupils benefit from lessons with specialist teachers in Art, French, Music, ICT, Gymnastics, Dance, and Games. Class Teachers communicate regularly with these specialist teachers, to ensure that each pupil is making progress in all areas of the curriculum. Critical Thinking lessons offer time for specific learning skills to be developed and fostered to embed these skills across the curriculum. In the Infant House, we focus on concentration, listening and empathy, perseverance, resilience, independence, initiative, and risk-taking. Children are given opportunities to work independently and collaboratively, sharing and respecting the ideas of others. Our pupils become reflective learners as they begin to assess their understanding. They become aware of their targets, track their progress towards achieving these and begin to co-construct new targets with their teachers. Kew College offers a limited number of means-tested bursaries to allow children from households with modest assets and incomes to benefit from the wonderful experience that Kew College provides. This opportunity is primarily available to children who are currently attending a state school and have the right to reside in the UK. The bursary is available to children who we believe can make a positive contribution to the School, demonstrate a love of learning and good behavior, and wish to enter Kew College in Years 3 or 4. To be considered for a bursary, the child will be subject to an academic assessment to identify their potential a full financial circumstances form will need to be completed. Bursaries are awarded at the discretion of the Governors and are not eligible to parents applying from overseas. Kew College Friends (KCF) is run by a group of parents at the school. The group organizes key events including the Summer Fair, Children's Discos, Quiz Nights, and more. KCF aims to organize fun events during the academic year, to provide a forum for social activities for children and parents, and also to raise funds for the school and its nominated charity. In the past, Kew College Friends has supported Sport for All, The Sick Children's Trust, 'Médicins sans Frontières', Just a Drop, Small Steps, RNIB, and Riding for the Disabled. In the current year, the focus is on Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH). View full school

The children’s progress is continually monitored and assessed. We work through nationally standardized tests to build up a profile of our children’s abilities as they progress through the school. We help our pupils to develop a disciplined approach to class and project work. Our aim is that every Kerem graduate should be a confident, happy and motivated child who achieves his or her maximum potential in Secular and Jewish StudiesThe Kerem School Early Years Unit seeks to lay firm foundations for future learning across all areas of experience. Kerem School is proud of its excellent academic record. Emphasis is placed on individual attention being given to each child so that the highest possible standard can be reached. We want our pupils to enjoy their time with us, recognizing their strong personal link with Jewish learning, traditions, and culture under the guidance of our Rabbi. We have an exceptional team of professional teachers whose major priority is to help every pupil achieve his or her potential and find expression for individual talents. Our children are encouraged to develop their abilities to the highest possible levels of excellence. Our classes are kept small (a maximum of 26 children in any class) and there is a warm, caring nurturing atmosphere created by our staff to give each child a sense of place, purpose, and a real achievement. At Kerem School, we offer a broad and intensive curriculum that encompasses the best features of the National Curriculum, the demands of which are closely monitored. The traditional core skills in English, Maths, and Science are stressed, and, also, the school offers a balanced and exciting program of study in secular subjects which include Geography, History, Technology, Music, Art, PE, and Information and Communication Technology. The children’s progress is continually monitored and assessed. We work through nationally standardized tests to build up a profile of our children’s abilities as they progress through the school. We help our pupils to develop a disciplined approach to class and project work. When the time comes to consider the right secondary school for our children, we help to identify where each pupil’s potential can be realized and offer parents assistance in their selection. We maintain close relationships with all leading secondary schools to which our pupil's graduate, regularly reviewing entry requirements.
