- King Edward VI High School for Girls is a high-performing independent school for pupils aged 11 to 18 with the capacity to transform the lives of the bright, multi-talented girls who come here from an extraordinary range of backgrounds. Our girls achieve outstanding results, but we are about so much more than outstanding examination results and places at top universities. We provide a richly varied and exciting education in a friendly, nurturing environment. We want to fire girls’ imaginations and arouse their intellectual curiosity. We know our girls will be tomorrow’s leaders and we want to help them develop the drive and skills they will need for the world of work, together with the confidence to aim high and pursue their ambitions with determination and enthusiasm. This is a unique school the girls’ intellectual rigor, the questions they ask, the music they make, their love of sport, and the interest they demonstrate for the world around them through fundraising and community links, all demonstrate what makes King Edward VI High School for Girls distinctive. At KEHS, we aim to offer girls an education that will prepare them for their future: in further education, employment, and in their personal lives. We want girls to embrace a love of learning, develop new skills, and make friends for life in a safe and supportive environment. We want to inspire them to aim high, believe in themselves, and pursue their dreams. Hand in hand with our academic curriculum goes a vast array of extra-curricular activities to suit every taste, offering time to relax, unwind, learn new skills and meet a range of people. Aware that learning does not stop at the school gate, we offer opportunities for independent study and a wide range of exciting, educational visits in the UK and beyond, to put learning into context and broaden horizons. Our core aims are summarised in the following statements: To offer girls a distinctive, academic education in a friendly, nurturing environment. To help girls to achieve academic success, inspiring a love of learning for its own sake. To give girls the confidence to aim high and pursue their ambitions. To encourage girls to achieve a productive and healthy work/life balance. To develop independent, resilient young women. To encourage girls to broaden their horizons and to think rationally and globally, celebrating diversity. To be accessible to able girls from all backgrounds. To encourage respect for others and a sense of collective responsibility. To provide a wide range of extra-curricular activities. We are proud to be a harmonious and diverse multi-cultural school, welcoming girls from all over Birmingham and beyond. KEHS is a small, friendly, and tolerant community with good relationships underpinning everything we do. We welcome individuals with lively minds and creative ideas. We want to challenge and support girls to explore new concepts and try new things, to follow their passions, and to achieve their potential. We encourage them to take risks, be willing to make mistakes, and learn from them so that they are more resilient and ready to face the future with confidence. We are proud of the outstanding results girls achieve in public examinations and the places gained at top universities, but equally proud of girls’ prowess in sport, music, art, and drama, of the happy, convivial atmosphere, and the thriving co-curricular program. We are also proud that KEHS girls serve their local and wider communities through community service and charitable engagement. Our highly qualified teachers have a passion for their subject they are outstanding mentors, motivators, and role models for students. All are committed to providing the best teaching and learning experience possible, nurturing our girls’ enquiring minds, and inspiring a lifelong love of learning. We treat all students as individuals and aim to provide a positive environment in which we can challenge them to push themselves to their limits. Our dedicated teachers forge excellent relationships with the girls and, crucially, are always willing to discuss topics, answer questions or offer additional help through informal one-to-one meetings at recess or lunchtimes. KEHS organizes internal professional development for all staff to keep them up to date with the latest research and ideas in education. Staff members are keen to share good practice and give presentations on cutting-edge topics to small groups of their colleagues throughout the year. At KEHS, we believe extra-curricular activities are vital in developing rounded, balanced students who enrich the life of the school as well as fulfilling their academic potential. We offer myriad opportunities for girls to sample exciting experiences from Rowing, Ultimate Frisbee, and Football Club to Philosophy Society, Schools’ Challenge quizzing, and Creative Writing. Some students help to run existing clubs or even start their own, to share their interests, developing their leadership skills, and becoming role models within the school community. View full school

- King Edward VI Handsworth School for Girls is an 11-18 selective girls’ school, forming part of the King Edward Foundation. The King Edward’s Foundation is responsible for the running of the five grammar schools (all of which converted to academy status on the 1st August 2011), two independent schools, and the King Edward VI Sheldon Heath Academy in the City of Birmingham. We currently have 901 pupils, 261 in the Sixth Form. We are very popular and have approximately nine applicants for every place given. We are a Performing Arts specialist college and gained High Performing School Status in 2010, as a result, our second specialism is Science. We are a busy, caring, and supportive school that values praise, enjoyment, respect, and honesty in all we do. A rich program of extracurricular provision provides chances for the girls to develop outside of the classroom, particularly in skills of confidence, teamwork, and leadership. We aim to develop young ladies who leave the school with a secure sense of identity, respect, tolerance for and understanding of difference and diversity, academic success, and as well-rounded, confident young women who are ready and able to embrace the challenges and opportunities of adult life. Our five Ofsted inspections have been outstanding, nonetheless, we are not complacent and review and plan for further development to strengthen our school. We are an ambitious and forward-thinking school, we are firm believers in Building Learning Power, a strategy pioneered by Guy Claxton, and we have spoken at national and local conferences promoting the approach. The vast majority of our lessons are graded outstanding or good. Our facilities are excellent and provide a 21st-century learning environment. Our school is built on a pleasant, enclosed campus, close to the center of Birmingham. The main building was constructed in 1911 and contains some excellent specialist teaching rooms and a beautiful Hall. Considering the selective nature of our school, academic achievement is important and we are anxious to provide our pupils with the widest possible choice within and beyond the framework of the National Curriculum. We follow a 50 period fortnight with three hour-long lessons in the morning and two in the afternoon. All our staff is well qualified and very able. All girls in KS4 take at least 11 GCSE subjects. Lower Sixth girls take four AS subjects plus AS Citizenship or Critical Thinking and Upper Sixth girls three A2 subjects in addition to General Studies or the Extended Project. We encourage each girl to participate in the life and activities of the school and we try to provide opportunities for everyone to take on real responsibilities within our community. Meaningful conversations with pupils and feedback on the curriculum are important. Academic standards are very high – in 2012 41.1% of all GCSE entries passed at A* grade and 80.3% at A*/A. At A Level 53.3% were passed at A*/A and 85.6% at A*/B. The school achieved its best contextual value-added measures for Key Stages 2 – 4 in 2012 (1031). The school features prominently in national league tables. We pride ourselves on the variety of lunchtime clubs with intellectual, social, sporting, and creative activities organized by both Staff and Sixth Form girls. We have a strong musical tradition with choirs, orchestras, and numerous instrumental lessons. Drama flourishes and we have several clubs run by the Sixth Form as well as our school production and joint ventures with King Edward VI Aston School (boys). Teams represent us in all the major sports. A contribution to the life of the School is expected from students and staff alike. We enjoy a reputation for our friendly atmosphere and our Form Tutors take a special interest in the progress and welfare of the girls in their care. Serious problems are referred to the Pupil Achievement Leaders (PALS) of each year group. It is our policy to involve parents immediately a need arises since we wish to emphasize our belief that education is a partnership between home and school. We have an experienced, talented, and committed staff. Teaching is lively and standards of preparation and marking are extremely good. We believe in offering opportunities for professional development through in-service training and opportunities for leadership and personal initiative. We are committed to the nurture and development of all those who learn here and seek to inspire all to be their best. We embrace the transformative power of education and value a love of learning and intellectual curiosity. We support all within the school to find, develop and enjoy their interests and passions. Our school offers vibrant extracurricular opportunities and participation is both valued and celebrated. We are a happy and caring school that values and takes pride in diversity and celebrates individuality. Our purpose is to develop students with empathy, understanding, and appreciation for other views and opinions. We support the girls to develop friendships that will last long beyond their time here and empower them to grow into independent, strong women who are equipped with the flexibility and moral courage to deal with the challenges of the modern world. - King Edward VI Camp Hill School for Girls is a selective grammar school that aims to achieve the best for our students. We converted to academy status in 2011. In every way, the school reflects our celebrated and diverse multi-cultural population in the West Midlands. We regularly achieve top positions in the national league tables of examination results. Our last OFSTED report described the school’s provision as Outstanding. Girls are actively encouraged to acquire the understanding, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and interests that will help them find fulfillment in their future lives and careers. Our diverse and enriching school curriculum offers breadth, depth, and challenge at every key stage while catering to the needs and abilities of individual students. Teaching throughout the school encourages participation, curiosity, and creativity. Developing students’ capacity to become genuinely independent learners both inside and outside of the classroom, is embedded in our practice. Students enjoy high levels of challenge throughout all areas of their school life, yet all within a hugely supportive environment. Academic and extra-curricular enrichment underpin all aspects of the curriculum. After school lectures and seminars, in-house conferences, an extensive program of visits and trips abroad enhance the learning experiences of all students. Lunchtime and after school clubs and societies are offered to students of all ages and include art, drama, creative writing, dance, languages such as Latin and Russian, Christian Union, Islamic Society, debating, and many more, as well as a range of extracurricular sports clubs, including cricket, netball, and badminton to name just a few. The Duke of Edinburgh scheme is hugely popular, so too are community projects such as Envision. Leadership opportunities are offered throughout the school. On average 200 girls receive music tuition at school from our large team of visiting instrumental teachers. Music is intrinsic to the life of Camp Hill and all students are encouraged to contribute to the musical life of the school, whether, through Show Choir, Concert Band, Orchestra, Guitar Ensemble, Flute Choir, String Quartets or Chamber Choir – the opportunities are myriad. Students are supported in their studies through peer and subject mentoring schemes, additional consolidation and revision classes, and one-to-one tutorial support. Individual guidance is also on hand from our dedicated student learning support staff. At every stage, the girls’ well-being and progress are monitored by form tutors, subject staff, and Key Stage Coordinators while the student planners enable parents to oversee their daughters’ homework and to gain an understanding of their day-to-day commitments and learning. - We are a multi-ethnic, selective school for boys, being one of the eight schools in Birmingham that make up the King Edward VI Foundation. The school has been part of the Aston community since 1883 and has strong links with many local schools and organizations primarily through the work of the school’s Sports Partnership. We have the highest expectations of our students, not only in their academic performance but in their commitment to extra-curricular activities be it in sport, drama, music, or wider community service. By the age of eighteen, we expect all Aston students to be articulate, well-educated young men, capable of independent thought with the confidence and flexibility to face future challenges. Also, we expect students to leave Aston understanding the importance of tolerance and the value of integrity. In conclusion, we believe in the importance of offering our students a broad and balanced curriculum providing opportunities to achieve at the very highest level. There is an emphasis in our curriculum on academic excellence and the need to prepare students for nationally recognized academic qualifications. There is also a commitment to providing a wide range of opportunities for students to enrich their learning through educational visits and a timetabled enrichment program, including options such as Photography, History, Music Technology, Relaxation, and Meditation. These, amongst many others, provide students with time and space to pursue courses and areas of interest outside of the main curriculum. Most students stay on at Aston to continue their studies to A level. The options system is flexible to allow students to combine the study of arts and sciences. In addition to subjects offered at GCSE, Economics, Further Mathematics, Psychology, and Philosophy can be studied to A level. Art, Music, French, German and Government, and Politics are all taught collaboratively with Handsworth Grammar School. All students also follow a wide and varied enrichment program including PE and Games, as well as extracurricular opportunities in teambuilding, industry, finance, music, and drama. Many students choose to take an Extended Project Qualification allowing them to pursue an area of individual interest, and through tutorial supervision, study this to the highest level and achieve a significant national qualification. Three periods a fortnight are set aside for PSHEE in years 7 and 10 with two periods during years 8, 9, and 11. Topics covered include Study Skills, Health Education, Environmental Issues, Safety, Careers Education, Financial and Political Awareness, often using external speakers and agencies. Our approach to Sex and Relationship education recognizes that parents are the key figures in helping their children to cope with the emotional and physical aspects of growing up. The delivery of the sex education policy is through the programs of study for Biology and PSHEE. View full school

- King David Primary School is founded on traditional Jewish values with a belief in respect, courtesy, self-discipline, diligence, and the pursuit of excellence. Our mission is to encourage each child to reach the highest levels of academic achievement, creativity, and personal development. We aim to create a generation who will be knowledgeable and committed to their faith and values and will become outstanding citizens within the Jewish community and in the wider world. Our ethos aims to develop open-minded, flexible, and resilient individuals with the skills and attitudes to be successful in tomorrow’s society. The creation of a warm and caring environment is a founding principle of our school and we go to great lengths to care for our pupils. We are fortunate to have outstanding, forward-thinking staff who continually develop their practice and are happy to give their time and energy to nurture your children. The pupils at King David are our best asset and we understand that they are the thing you treasure most in the world! We take the trust of our parents very seriously and we are committed to individual pupil progress, safety, and well-being at all times. OFSTED recognized this in March 2016 by judging us OUTSTANDING in every area of the inspection framework. They said, “Every child’s success is at the heart of all the school does.” The DfE have recently reinforced the need “to create and enforce a clear and rigorous expectation on all schools to promote the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs.” Democracy is rife within the school. Pupils have the opportunity to have their voices heard through our School Council and Pupil questionnaires. The elections of House Captains are based solely on pupil votes. Our school behavior policy was reviewed with the input of our pupils. The importance of Laws, whether they be those that govern the class, the school, or the country, are consistently reinforced throughout regular school days, as well as when dealing with behavior and through school assemblies. Pupils are taught the value and reasons behind laws, that they govern and protect us, the responsibilities that this involves, and the consequences when laws are broken. Within school, pupils are actively encouraged to make choices, knowing that they are in a safe and supportive environment. As a school, we educate and provide boundaries for young pupils to make choices safely, through of provision of a safe environment and empowering education. Pupils are encouraged to know, understand and exercise their rights and personal freedoms and advise how to exercise these safely, for example through our E-Safety and PSHE lessons. Whether it be through choice of challenge, of how they record, or participation in our numerous extra-curricular clubs and opportunities, pupils are given the freedom to make choices. Part of our school ethos and behavior policy has revolved around Core Values such as ‘Respect’, and pupils have been part of discussions and assemblies related to what this means and how it is shown. This is reiterated through our classroom and learning rules, as well as our behavior policy. Assemblies and discussions involving prejudices and prejudice-based bullying have been followed and supported by learning in JS and PSHE. Members of different faiths or religions are invited into school to share their knowledge to enhance learning. We regularly take groups of our pupils to other faith and non-faith schools to enrich their understanding and share their own cultural and spiritual heritage with others. For example, some of our Year 6 pupils recently participated in a multi-faith week at a local Catholic primary school. We believe that every child is entitled to full access to the Foundation Stage and National Curriculum, including especially gifted children as well as those who have particular difficulties. The objectives of the school’s Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Policy are to ensure that each child achieves his or her full potential. We aim to identify special needs at the earliest opportunity and consider a partnership with parents and guardians to be important at all times. We will take account of the views of all relevant agencies and the views of the child. We are committed to increasing the extent to which disabled pupils and adults can participate within school life and plan continual improvements to the school’s provision for pupils with special educational needs through the Accessibility Plan. The school welcomes all children, including those with special educational needs and disabilities. We aim to be fully inclusive. Children with SEND are admitted to the school under the same arrangements as all other children, by the school’s admissions policy. The school has a Complaints Procedure in place. Any complaints connected to SEND should firstly be referred to the class teacher, then SENCo, and Headteacher.
- We are an oversubscribed, high-achieving, mixed, voluntary aided, Jewish faith-based secondary school with a comprehensive intake. We aim to provide excellence through education for the Jewish and Wider Community. We exist to provide a Jewish and quality academic and secular education for Jewish pupils as well as pupils from other faiths in the locality. The High School is situated on a large Jewish Campus comprising King David High School, King David Primary School, Jewish Youth, and Community Centre and playing fields. King David High School has a key role to play in the education of young people in Liverpool. Our aims are to: To provide a stimulating and enriching Jewish and secular education for all Jewish children in Liverpool and its surrounding area. To provide an equally stimulating and enriching curriculum for all other pupils of all faiths admitted to the school. To provide a quality inclusive academic education that promotes British values for all our pupils regardless of ability with the individual needs of each pupil at the heart of the Jewish ethos of the school. Students have been working together to establish what we feel is “The King David Way” – This is, in short, a set of principles and core values that underpin all we do as a school community and center around the school’s Jewish ethos. We have carried out a comprehensive evaluation of key areas of the high school: Assessment, Teaching and Learning, Sixth Form, Pastoral, and Communication, and looked at ways the core principles can be explicitly subsumed within them. As part of that process, we have established core values which we are calling “The King David Way”. These will be shared with pupils and the expectation is that all members of the school community embody these principles. Each week staff has the opportunity to nominate pupils who most embody “The King David Way” and their names and reason for nomination will be displayed on the board as a representation of all that is special about our school community. King David High School attracts almost all of the potential Jewish pupils in the area. Most pupils in King David are of other faiths but it is critical to the future of the School that the Jewish ethos of the School is maintained and indeed strengthened. It is not simply the formal education process in general Judaism, Bar and Bat Mitzvah Studies, Jewish History or GCSE and A-level courses, but also the sympathetic transmission of the "golden chain" of Jewish tradition. Thus, subjects covered in School are often important in the longer period, e.g. the significance of Shabbat, Kashrut, festival observance, identification positively as being part of the Jewish family, Israel, etc. There are also a series of visits planned for pupils across all year groups in association with various agencies to extend and deepen the students’ understanding of their Jewish roots. Informal activities are also offered at lunchtime. At King David High School we take great pride in the range of enrichment opportunities offered to our students. In equal measure students contribute extensively to the school and wider community, developing leadership skills and acting as role models to younger students. There is also a PSHE/ Citizenship period every week from November to July which allows for curriculum enrichment and the delivery of citizenship skills. View full school

- Kimichi school is a new independent secondary school specializing in music, which opened on September 8th, 2014. We offer cheaper fees than other independent schools, but the same academic quality you would undoubtedly expect from such institutions. We love Music. So much so that it is an intrinsic part of everything we do at Kimichi. Everyone learns at least one instrument, and if you’ve never played one before this is the ideal place to learn. Music tuition is a given, and everyone performs regularly with the school ensemble. For those pupils looking to make it a career, we’ve plenty of support available. Local professional musicians are a part of our school community, and we are learning partners with the Birmingham Conservatoire. We can offer extra practice time and assistance with such things as auditions, exams, and recitals. If you were in any doubt as to the relevance of Music in Education, just take a look at any one of the numerous articles on the benefits of playing a musical instrument. Education should not just be about textbooks and exams, and this is something we feel very strongly about. We want them to leave us confident, academically sound, and socially adept young people ready to take on the challenges of life after school, wherever that may take them. Our LIFE subject is just that: aimed at addressing LIFE issues such as mortgages, accounting, interest rates, driving, cooking, sewing, flatpack building DIY, and other such skills. With mental health in schools being at the forefront of many of today's headlines, we’re lucky to have a mental health professional on staff full time, so mindfulness and mental health are of significant importance in our structure. In this day and age, it’s important to realize that not only are we a school community, but we are part of a larger global community, and to that end, we like developing links with other secondary schools, both locally and around the world, whilst studying, understanding and living British values and culture. For pupils, we learn through creativity and with a much more hands-on approach than most. We love the fact that our pupils are free and able to use their creativity to expand on their current knowledge and further their education: as staff, we love jumping down the rabbit hole with them! Because our classes are so small (12 maximum), we can personalize their learning, and therefore make sure that each child accesses their best possible individual education. School trips and outside-the-classroom learning is a big part of our educational ethos. Our school is run by the pupils for the pupils. The school council is an integral part of our day-to-day school life and addresses any ideas or issues that may arise, with guidance from the staff. The pupils love the responsibility of governing their school, and on every occasion rise to the challenge. Kimichi School aims to offer a place to any child who will benefit best from the type of education Kimichi has to offer. Whilst the school is not ability-based, pupils are expected to either play an instrument already or to take one up upon admission. The school is committed to ensuring that admission decisions will be made by a process that is free from any discrimination on the grounds of disability race ethnic or national origin or gender. The school must also feel reasonably sure that it can support, educate and develop the prospective student to the best of his or her potential, so that the student will have a happy, safe, fulfilling, and successful school career. These aims must continue to be met throughout the student's time at the school. Full school reports will be considered and a reference might be requested from each potential student's current school. We use a variety of additional study methods, offering a more inclusive form of teaching, to provide students with a better chance of success. This teaching approach is particularly designed to match the students’ different learning types. With our ‘home school feel’ we encourage flexibility within lessons, and allow teachers to be as creative as possible with their teaching approach. Our small classes and expectations of peer learning and assessment enable students to apply their learning practically. Our Tracking, Assessment, and Marking Policies underpin all learning and teaching within the school. The teacher’s role here is to provide inspiration and encourage the pupils to create their study groups within the class. Students can therefore determine the content and methodology in their study group. Kimichi believes absolutely in the principle of students helping each other, as demonstrated through Orchestral rehearsal principles where the more able assist those less technically proficient. To coin a phrase, we feel that we are all ‘in it together. View full school

- We are an HMC independent (‘private’) day and boarding school for boys and girls of some 1000 pupils aged 4 to 18. Based near Cambridge, the Preparatory School caters for the 4 to 11-year-olds at one end of the village, whilst a brisk walk through our parkland brings you out into the Castle grounds which house the Senior School for 11 to 18-year-olds. We are fortunate to have such an attractive campus, centered on Kimbolton Castle, which we purchased from the Dukes of Manchester in the middle of the last century. We are very much one school: the curricula of the Prep and Senior Schools are aligned our warm, caring ethos starts at the Reception Year and continues through to the Upper Sixth Form some of our staff teach at both the Prep and Senior Schools some of our events attract the whole school community and the vast majority of our Prep School (KS1 and KS2) pupils continue their education at the Senior School. While academia underpins all that we do, above all else, it is our warm, inclusive, family atmosphere that sets us apart. And that is not just us saying so, it is supported by favorable inspection comments too, including our most recent ISI Inspection report which praised almost every aspect of school life. Our staff is enthusiastic and dedicated. Our pupils are motivated to achieve their very best in all aspects of school life. We strongly believe that developing our pupils into well-rounded individuals is key, to which end we provide a wealth of opportunities in sport, music, drama and a wide variety of other pursuits across the whole age range. Kimbolton School has a rich history, stretching back over 400 years. Many of our pupils from Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, and Northamptonshire can trace their family line through generations of Old Kimboltonians. Having said this, we are also alive to the present and our 21st Century school embraces pupils from far and wide. Many of our current pupils, whether boarding or day, have been with us throughout their learning, developing, and moving through the school with their friends. In the last decade, we have seen many improvements to our facilities, the latest of which are a new entrance building and library at the Preparatory School and a new Science and Maths Centre at the Senior School. The latter was the final of many exciting new developments that we published in our last five-year School Development Plan. Kimbolton School creates a caring, challenging environment in which all pupils are encouraged to fulfill their potential and are given opportunities to flourish in a wide variety of curricular and extra-curricular interests. We provide a close family environment where young people are educated to be tolerant, socially responsible, and independent of mind, equipping them for our changing world. We are a community that challenges pupils to discover their talents, develop socially and excel. Class sizes are small and our year groups all have at least two classes so children have plenty of scopes to establish a broad range of friendships while learning to integrate newcomers with ease. Specialist teaching from the youngest of ages brings an added dimension to learning and our enviable private facilities are enhanced through regular access to the first-class amenities at the Senior School. We are an integral part of the wider Kimbolton School community. A busy extra-curricular program complements our broad curriculum and each actively promotes wider personal development and ensures that every child becomes confident, self-assured, and is well prepared academically and socially to face the challenges that life brings. Our successes are most notable in the outstanding caliber of genuinely rounded boys and girls that move on at the end of Year 6. Almost all of our children progress, with their friends, to the Senior School and the familiar environment smoothes their transition to secondary education at age 11. Our Values At Kimbolton School, we value: Each individual. A rounded education, encompassing both academic and extra-curricular activity. High standards, ensuring that everyone reaches their potential. And celebrate personal success and achievement equally in all areas. A warm, supportive, and inclusive day and boarding community encompassing staff pupils, parents, and town. Tolerance and respect for others, facilitating equality of opportunity. Enthusiasm, commitment, and self-discipline. The development of social responsibility and integrity. The beliefs and traditions are reflected in the School’s Christian heritage, whilst respecting those of other cultures. The rich history of our school and our setting an awareness of our responsibilities to others in line with our charitable foundation. The building of self-esteem so that pupils develop the confidence and independence of mind to be true to themselves. A variety of opportunities for every pupil to discover an individual sphere of excellence and thus be challenged and inspired. Preparation of pupils for lifelong learning. View full school

Our curriculum is broad, rich, immersive, and purposeful and encourages our children to be independent, innovative, and curious learners. We believe passionately that children should develop an understanding of the process of learning, be reflective, and have the confidence to experiment, investigate and explore. To achieve these teachers use their expertise in pedagogy, subject knowledge, and high-quality resources, including the use of technology and hands-on artifacts. Children have opportunities to work in partners, small groups, and individually. This extends their understanding by allowing them to explore and experiment with ideas and to learn from their peers. Children have a right to be cared for and protected, protecting them is everyone’s responsibility. Here at Kilmorie Primary School, we have a duty of care to ensure that all users of the school are kept safe from harm. We are committed to providing a secure and supportive environment in which children can develop and grow into mature and responsible people. Safeguarding children is an essential part of our holistic approach to ensure that children are protected from abuse and neglect and that every child reaches their full potential. The school’s staff, volunteers, and service providers must safeguard and promote the welfare of children as a shared responsibility with parents and other carers. To support this statement, the school may signpost to services that are specialized to promote opportunity, prevent problems, act early and act effectively if and when concerns arise. Therefore, whilst we do not want to worry you, we will report to Children’s Social Care if we have any reason to believe that a child may be at risk of suffering abuse or neglect. View full school

- Kilgraston's educational performance places us as one of the very best schools in the United Kingdom, year after year. The education is world-class and learning takes pride of place. Individuality is encouraged to flourish and each girl is empowered within the academic environment. The school is part of the Sacred Heart Network. At the heart of the Kilgraston ethos is its focus on the concept of the whole person, through the five Sacred Heart goals: a living faith, personal growth, intellectual values, building community, and active social awareness. The setting for the school is in the beautiful Perthshire countryside with its stunning scenery and wildlife. The school campus consists of 54 acres of parkland which provides a tranquil and gentle-paced environment, allowing the girls both time and space to concentrate without distraction. Nearby towns and villages are easily accessible. Yet, it is only a one-hour drive to reach Edinburgh, Scotland’s capital, and Glasgow, Scotland’s largest city. Both offer a wide range of opportunities to experience the excitement of city life. Cultural trips to theatres, museums, and art galleries are frequently arranged. Our founding traditions as part of the Sacred Heart Network reinforce our values as does our Scottish education heritage. Trust, respect, integrity, and responsibility lie at the heart of our community and underpin the academic achievements of each of our students. Our ambition for each girl is to stimulate and develop her character and personality. Our teaching is rich in resources, with highly effective use of Information Technology in the classroom, including the use of iPads for every girl. Our teaching inspires and challenges our girls to aim at the highest level, and enables them to attain it. We believe there should be no limit on either personal or professional ambitions. Each girl is encouraged to grow, learn and mature in an atmosphere of freedom and opportunity. Each is a key member of the ‘Kilgraston Family’. Our girls achieve all they are capable of. Each will leave Kilgraston with the potential to go on to take their place as a professional, academic, or business leader of tomorrow perhaps all three if that’s their choice. View full school

At Kilburn Grange School we put the children at the heart of everything we do for them to learn. Enjoy. Succeed. – Wonder, Enjoy, Collaborate, Aspire, Reflect, Endeavour. Welcome to Kilburn Grange School, a two-form entry, primary free school based in Brent. We opened in September 2015 with our first year of children and their families. As you will see from our vision statement, the children are at the heart of everything we do and as we grow, we will continue to meet the needs of all of the children in our care. We have a highly qualified, dedicated team of staff with specialized skills to ensure the pupils have a provision that is catered to their individual needs. One of our strengths is our engaging and rich curriculum, which enables the pupils not only to take ownership and pride over their learning but most of all, to have fun. At Kilburn Grange School we follow the Early Years and Foundation Stage Statutory Framework and design our curriculum to ensure this is met. The curriculum is broad and balanced, providing opportunities for pupils of all stages of development and backgrounds to succeed. There is a focus on core learning and the use of ICT is integral, enabling all pupils to gain full access to the curriculum. At Kilburn Grange School we follow a topic-based approach. Each half-term children learn about a new topic, which feeds into an overarching theme for the term. The children explore stories and write, as well as activities linked to the other areas of learning linked that topic. From the Reception Class to Year 6 in Key Stage 2, Kilburn Grange School offers a curriculum suitable for our inclusive intake that meets the needs of all pupils and leads to high standards of academic and personal achievement. Learning in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 is based on the National Curriculum and at times entails formal teaching of spelling, punctuation, and grammar as part of our emphasis on literacy. ICT provision is innovative and supports all learners. Throughout all the age ranges we ensure that RE and PSHE are taught so that the pupils can learn core values and beliefs from the very start. This includes learning Spiritual, Moral, Social, and Cultural aspects of life and fundamental British Values, where they regard people of all faiths, races, and cultures with respect and tolerance. Children also learn that different people may hold different views about what is ‘right’ and ‘wrong.’ View full school
