St Paul's is a co-educational Anglican school founded on the ethos and values of the Anglican Church. We are a multi-campus school with campuses in both Traralgon and Warragul. From the child-centered and play-based activities of our Early Learning Centres through to the mastery of critical skills and the pursuit of individual passions through a diverse range of specialist subjects and programs, St Paul's aims to foster the potential academic joy of learning which will be life long. It is with a great deal of pleasure that we welcome you to the St Paul's College website. From a personal perspective, we have been involved in boys' education for over thirty-five years. What an all-boys' environment like St Paul's does so well is to work closely with students and families in a three-way partnership that enables wonderful young boys to grow into fine men, men of strong character, able and willing to make a positive contribution to our world. In an increasingly globalized world, St. Paul’s International College provides opportunities for young people from a broad range of ethnic and cultural backgrounds to learn from and respect each other’s differences and grow in an appreciation of their shared humanity. As we look forward to a future that holds both opportunities and challenges, We would like to look back for a moment into the past, to see just where we have come from and how this may act as a guide to where we hope to go. From humble beginnings in a poverty-stricken region of rural France more than 300 years ago, the Sisters of St. Paul de Chartres have devoted themselves to alleviating suffering and educating the poor. In the process, they have carried the love of God throughout France and beyond. In 1848, the Sisters opened a mission in Hong Kong and from there answered the call in many other parts of Asia — Vietnam (1860), Japan (1878), Korea (1888), Thailand (1898), Mainland China (1900), the Philippines (1904) Taiwan (1960) and Indonesia (1967). As the years passed, it became clear that Australia needed a Catholic education that catered to the needs of the many international students arriving on its shores. Thus, in 1984, the Sisters from Hong Kong assumed the running of the co-educational senior boarding school in Moss Vale, NSW, which, in 1998, became St Paul’s International College. Though ours is now a venerable order, we have always striven to apply our message of love and hope to the needs of ever-changing times and circumstances. Today, rapid digital technology advancements are changing how we communicate with one another and perhaps even the way we think and process the relentless barrage of instant information with which we are bombarded throughout our waking lives. While today’s young people have grown up in such a world and take so many of these advances for granted, we strive to ensure that they have the technical and language skills that will enable them to live a fruitful life and contribute positively to the betterment of individuals, their respective nations and the global society of the future. The St Paul's Lutheran congregation here in Caboolture had the ambition to build a school that would serve their children's needs and provides an excellent Christian education for others in the community. In 1980 the church purchased the land the school now occupies. The school opened its doors for the first time some five years later. Over the following years, the school has slowly expanded to its current size with two classes for each grade level from Year 1 to 6 and a triple stream at Prep. The school commenced in 1985 with just three classes. These were pioneering days. Parents, children, and staff joined together with a will. Difficulties and shortages were overcome with inventiveness and energy. The school became involved with various local activities and soon became well known within the town and surrounding districts. A tradition of academic excellence is only one aspect of education. St Paul’s students can immerse themselves in a range of co-curricular activities that extend their learning experience – including our RFS unit and a vast range of sport, music, dance, drama.

We interviewed 30 global experts across disciplines such as astrophysics, economics, theology, and philosophy to build a picture of what the world will look like in 2028. The result is St Paul's Future Planning Project. We have been researching extensively, imagining what the world of 2028 might hold when our current Pre-Prep students reach the final year of compulsory education. As a result of the process, four narratives describing possible futures were developed. St Paul's is a Pre-Prep to Year 12 Anglican school with a vision to be leaders in educational thinking and practice. We equip young people for an uncertain future by providing an education worth having. St Paul's School is a student-centered Anglican community preparing resilient and balanced global citizens with a heart for servant leadership. Our vision is to be leaders in education thinking and practice. Realms of thinking help students to become innovative thinkers. They are approaches to learning which help students master the basics while also growing their capacity to ask better questions, navigate challenges, develop empathy, and spark their imaginations. St. Paul's Convent School (SPCS), a Catholic secondary school for girls from the age of eleven to eighteen, is sponsored and administered by the Sisters of St. Paul de Chartres, an international congregation founded in France with a history of three hundred years of educational excellence. SPCS, being one of the oldest Grant-in-aid Schools in Hong Kong, was founded in 1854. It was formerly called French Convent School and even up to the present day, there is still several non-Chinese speaking students. The school moved to its present site in 1914 and the present building was completed in 1981. The school was renamed St. Paul's Convent School in 1955. A Sesquicentennial Block of seven stories was added to the campus to celebrate its 150 years of educational excellence. Since September 2004, SPCS has changed its status from Grant-in-aid School to Direct Subsidy Scheme (DSS). This change has reaped many benefits and flexibility that enhance the school's unique vision and mission of developing all-around educational excellence that is being recognized by all renowned institutions, both locally and internationally. The existing values of excellence and efficiency will be strengthened to provide an education of world-class standards for our Paulicians. Enrolment in the school implies the student’s willingness and determination to obey school authorities and abide by all the school regulations. The school reserves the right to require the withdrawal of those students whose behavior is not in accord with its ideals and standards of conduct. The Federation of St John’s & St Paul’s Whitechapel CE Primary Schools was established in September 2014. St Paul's Cathedral School is a Christian, co-educational community which holds to the values of love, justice, tolerance, respect, honesty, service, and trust in its life and practice, to promote positive relationships throughout the school community and where the safety, welfare and emotional well-being of each child is of the utmost importance. The school aims to instill a love of learning through a broad curriculum. It aims to allow each pupil to develop intellectually, socially, personally, physically, culturally, and spiritually. All pupils are encouraged to work to the best of their ability and to achieve standards of excellence in all of their endeavors. Through the corporate life of the school and good pastoral care, the school encourages the independence of the individual as well as mutual responsibility. It aims to make its pupils aware of the wider community, espouses the democratic process, and encourages a close working relationship with parents and guardians. The Pre-Prep consists of a single form entry for Reception (aged 4+), Year 1 (5+), and Year 2 (6+). Our Reception class follows the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum (EYFS) whilst the Year 1 and 2 classes follow guidelines that are laid out in the National Curriculum. We aim to challenge the children positively and hopefully achieve above the national average results for all our students. This often results in children completing work that is of a level that is in advance of that expected for pupils of their age. We are lucky to have three bright and airy classrooms and an enviable outdoor play area with climbing frames and Wendy's houses. The curriculum for Reception children focuses on the seven standards of the prime and specific areas of learning set by the EYFS. As pupils enter the Prep School in Year 3 (aged 7+), they begin to experience slightly more independence and specialist teaching. In Years 3 and 4 there are two classes and the form room still acts as a base for the students. The Year 3 and 4 staff teach English, Maths, Science, and the humanities. These latter two are taught through the International Primary Curriculum (IPC). Pupils continue to keep active through weekly swimming, PE, Dance, Games, and Drama lessons with specialist teachers. Art, French, and Music are also taught by specialists. From Year 5, there is further emphasis on specialist teaching. Maths and English are taught in sets and some preparation for Verbal and Non-Verbal reasoning begins. Latin is taught for the first time using the Cambridge Latin Course and by exploring Roman Culture and Myths. By Year 7, with the 13+ syllabus well underway, students are taught in sets for Maths, English, Science, French, and Latin. Some students will also study Ancient Greek. Art, Music, Drama, PE, and Games continue to be an important focus throughout the Prep School and there are many opportunities to explore the talents of individuals. Homework is set each day: 20 minutes for Years 3 and 4 (one subject) 40 minutes for Year 5 rising to an hour (2 subjects) from Year 6.With our central location, we make much use of the resources London has to offer with many educational trips for each year group, from local art galleries and museums to further afield in Norfolk, Snowdonia, and France. About 34 choristers are boarding at the school at any one time. They are housed in a separate building in bright, comfortable dormitories. There are two resident, fully qualified nurses who look after the choristers' health and hygiene and who have flats in the boarding house other residential staff lives adjacent to it. The choristers have their common room with a snooker table, air hockey, table football, play stations as well as a television. They take all meals in the school dining room. There has been a song school associated with Saint Paul's Cathedral since its foundation in 604. The Choir School for boy choristers dates from about 1123 when 8 boys in need of alms were provided with a home and education in return for singing the Cathedral Office. Gradually two schools emerged the Choir School and the Grammar School. For many years they co-existed happily, the choristers graduating to Grammar school to finish their education until the latter was re-founded by Dean Colet in 1511 and became Saint Paul's School. (It is now in Barnes and has only a tenuous connection with the Cathedral.) In the late sixteenth and early seventeenth centuries, the school was more famous for its acting than its singing. The Children of St Paul's had their resident playwrights, performed regularly at Greenwich Palace before Queen Elizabeth 1 and incurred the wrath of Shakespeare and his professional company just over the river. (In Hamlet he rails against the company of 'little eyes who are roundly applauded for their histrionic efforts). After the Restoration, the choristers enjoyed a somewhat chequered history, but a vigorous campaign by the redoubtable Maria Hackett lasting some sixty years led to the re-establishment of a purpose-built school in Carter Lane to the south-west of the Cathedral in 1874. There it remained until the 1960s, when, under threat of demolition due to a road-widening scheme, it moved to its present site in New Change.

Should your child feel unwell or be involved in an accident, one of our Assistants will look after him or her and contact you if necessary. Appointments with the school doctor are made when necessary and parents are informed so they can accompany their child. CEOP works with child protection partners across the UK and overseas to identify the main threats to children and coordinates activity against these threats to bring offenders to account. They protect children from harm online and offline. Hackney is running an advice and support service for those who would like to improve their spoken English skills. GCSE and A level examinations can be taken alongside the full curriculum, sometimes a year later than in state schools and with less associated stress. The project was funded in 1994, occupying the current site, St Paul’s, a previously derelict church, at the junction of Essex and St Paul’s Roads in Islington from 1995. The original intention was to restore the building as a home for a Steiner School and a resource committed to lifelong learning for the local community. Each year a new classroom has been built and in 2007 the first students who graduated from Class VIII to go on to complete their education at local state schools or other Steiner Schools around the country. The School currently provides services to around 160 families through inclusive school, kindergarten, and parent & child group schemes. St Paul’s has a unique location between some of the most exclusive homes in London and some of the most troubled and deprived estates. St Paul’s is situated on the borders of Hackney and Islington and 70% of the school’s users come from these boroughs. The Community Resource has been developed in tandem with the school. The large and beautiful nave provides an outstanding space and has hosted a variety of activities. It has developed a program of events and workshops that include fairs, markets, theatrical productions, dance, and music. The building is also used for a variety of other community needs including evening classes and meetings. We intend for the sessions to be a nourishing experience for both parent and child. Often it is the child’s first experience of being in a group through this, they begin to learn social skills such as playing alongside others and sharing. Through their natural forces of imitation, they join in seasonal songs, verses, and movement at circle time they enjoy a social snack together around the table and they learn to sit and watch a little seasonal puppet story. There is lots of time to play. We provide very simple toys that are handcrafted from natural materials, which feed the senses and nurture the imagination. Alongside the Steiner Waldorf curriculum, we work with and integrate the Statutory Framework for the early year's foundation stage (setting the standards for learning, development, and care for children from birth to five.) This is commonly known as the EYFS. The EYFS covers seven areas of learning. Of these, the three prime areas are Physical Development, Personal, Social and Emotional Development, and Communication and Language.) The four secondary areas of learning are Mathematics, Literacy, Understanding the World, and Expressive Arts and Design. There are some areas of the EYFS that Steiner Waldorf Kindergartens have exemptions from or modifications to. There is complete exemption from the whole of the Literacy aspect plus modifications to Mathematics, Understanding the World, and Expressive Arts and Design. These exemptions are because we do not actively teach Literacy and Numeracy in the Early Years, nor do we use computer technology in the Kindergarten.

St Paul's is over 180 years old. Built-in 1834 on the grounds of an existing school, St Paul's is only 1 year younger than our parent church. As with all schools of that time, St Paul's was built for the community of Mill Hill. In our 180 years, we have grown from a small 2 class school to a full 7 class primary. In September 2014 added to this with the introduction of our sister school, Millbrook Park Church of England Primary School.
