St Paul's Convent School (Secondary Section)

    Founding year: 1854
    Website: Visit Website
    Leadership: Sister Margaret Wong (Principal)

The School aims to provide a seamless bilingual education for girls in a happy and motivating learning environment so that they will learn to embrace the Paulinian heritage of truth, beauty, goodness, nobility, and honor.
The school aims at providing an all-round education, based on Christian values, that enhances the quality of life, both spiritually and materially, for our Paulinians so that they can contribute positively to their home, profession, and society with charity, conscience, confidence, courage, creativity, competence and commitment.
St. Paul's Convent School (SPCS), a Catholic secondary school for girls from the age of eleven to eighteen, is sponsored and administered by the Sisters of St. Paul de Chartres, an international congregation founded in France with a history of three hundred years of educational excellence.
SPCS, being one of the oldest Grant-in-aid Schools in Hong Kong, was founded in 1854. It was formerly called French Convent School and even up to the present day, there is still several non-Chinese speaking students. The school moved to its present site in 1914 and the present building was completed in 1981. The school was renamed St. Paul's Convent School in 1955. A Sesquicentennial Block of seven stories was added to the campus to celebrate its 150 years of educational excellence.
Since September 2004, SPCS has changed its status from Grant-in-aid School to Direct Subsidy Scheme (DSS). This change has reaped many benefits and flexibility that enhance the school's unique vision and mission of developing all-around educational excellence that is being recognized by all renowned institutions, both locally and internationally. The existing values of excellence and efficiency will be strengthened to provide an education of world-class standards for our Paulicians.
Enrolment in the school implies the student’s willingness and determination to obey school authorities and abide by all the school regulations. The school reserves the right to require the withdrawal of those students whose behavior is not in accord with its ideals and standards of conduct. The school considers that it is a serious offense to recruit students for outside activities or organizations without authorization from the school.
