The origin of New Pakistan International School, Hawally dates back to 1997 and it is considered as a part of Al Rayan Holding Co. Textiles being Pakistan’s largest industrial sector generate the country’s highest export earnings of about 54%, providing the bulk of employment (38%) to a largely under-utilized workforce. The high levels of unemployment and underemployment are mainly on account of the low skill levels, low literacy, and poor managerial efficiencies of the job market. Recognizing this gap, TIP was founded in 1994 under the aegis of APTMA, to fill the growing vacuum. The key objective was to provide professional education and training to a new class of young professionals by honing their practical skills in addition to providing the necessary theoretical knowledge. To run TIP independently, APTMA created a trust under the name of the National Textile Foundation (NTF). This foundation is the caretaker of TIP and looks after its financial and capital needs. The institute was purpose-built (200,000 sq. ft. covered area) along with a state-of-the-art architectural design by a leading architect on 50 acres of land located on the National Highway, about 40 km from the Karachi city center. The architectural features of the interior and exterior design align with the climatic and topographical need to soften the harshness of Karachi’s physical and social environment. While not being ostentatious, the premises are air-conditioned and fitted with pleasant fixtures, woodwork, and finishing. The exterior is adorned with beautiful sprawling lawns and an artificial lake complete with related fauna in its natural habitat. Since its establishment, TIP has served the needs of the industry to a large extent and is gearing up its resources to meet its further requirements. So far, all TIP graduates have been taken up by the domestic textile industry except those who have gone abroad in pursuit of higher education. With an independent charter granted by the Government of Sindh, TIP is authorized to award its degrees under the recognition of the Higher Education Commission (HEC). The training establishment HMPS history was commissioned as Gunnery and Radar School for the RIN on 27 Nov 1943. Soon after independence, it expanded into a combined training establishment housing the Signal, Torpedo and Anti-submarine, Tactics, Navigation and Direction, Supply and Secretariat, and Cookery Schools. The first mechanical training establishment of the Pakistan Navy was set up on Manora Island and commissioned as HMPS KARSAZ on 01 Dec 49. In 1952 PN Torpedo Depot was established at West Wharf. To meet the increasing demand for docking/repair, a dock was purchased from Italy and was commissioned as HMPS IQBAL. Subsequently, the graving dock was opened at PN Dockyard Karachi. The 1956 Islamic Republic of Pakistan was proclaimed under the 1956 constitution. The prefix `Royal’ was dropped and the service was redesignated as Pakistan Navy short title PN. PN Jack and Pakistan flag replaced the Queen’s color and the white ensign respectively. The order of precedence of the three services changed from Navy, Army, Air Force to Army, Navy, Air Force. THE first PN Staff course commenced in May 1971 at PN Staff College established in the Karsaz area. Quaid inspecting Guard of Honour on-board HMPS ZULFIQUAR in 1947. President Ayub with CNS at the Naval Academy in 1966. In 1981 Pakistan Naval Engineering College was established and commissioned as PNS JAUHAR. In 1986 PNS BAHADUR was commissioned as the main professional training center for seaman branch personnel. It housed the Surface Warfare, Naval Warfare and OPS, Communications, Hydrography, EW, Instructional Techniques, and Music schools. In 1991 Pakistan naval ensign was hoisted at Jinnah station, which was established in Antarctica. The same year RDS MIANWALI at ORMARA was commissioned as PNS AHSAN, a depot unit for personnel at ORMARA. In 1992 Missile Depot was commissioned as PNS AATISH at Manipur. In 1994 PNS NIGRAN was commissioned as the depot for Naval Provost Branch. In 1996 PNS RAZA was commissioned as an Air Store Depot. In 1994 groundbreaking and foundation stone laying ceremony of the “Jinnah Naval Harbour” (JNB) was performed. The base was finally commissioned in the year 2000. View full university

The Pakistan Institute of Development Economics was established in Karachi in 1957 and in 1964 accorded the status of an autonomous research organization by the Government of Pakistan. It is devoted to theoretical and empirical research in Development Economics in general and on Pakistan-related economic issues in particular. Pakistan International School (Azizia) Jeddah was founded in 1959 as Pakistan Embassy School to meet the educational needs of the children of Pakistan Embassy Staff. It has grown into a celebrated institution of great repute and provides educational facilities to all Pakistanis living in and around Jeddah and Makkah al Mukarramah. It also welcomes students of other nationalities to benefit from the wide range of opportunities offered by the School. The School commenced its operation in 11959-1960 vide Letter No. 8/4/9/9180 dated 19.4.1380H, issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Initially, the school was housed in two buildings in Al-Baghdadi. It accommodated a large number of students in two shifts a day. With the rapid increase in the number of students, the need for a new building was felt. To fulfill this requirement, the new school building was constructed in 1984, with the facility of 135 classrooms in two separate wings for boys and girls. The School functions by the rules and regulations set by the Ministry of Education, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Board of Directors duly elected by the parents of the students under the direct supervision of the Ministry of Education, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia constitutes the ‘governing body’ and formulates the policies of the school. The operational activities of the school are carried out under the supervision of the Principal of the school. The Primary Section- headed by Headmistress- comprises classes Prep to IV for Girls and Prep to V for Boys. The Secondary Sections - headed by Vice Principal - comprise class V to XII for Girls and class VI to XII for Boys. The magnificent building of the main school Pakistan School Muscat (PSM) stands in a prime location overlooking the Ruwi Valley and the Central Business District. His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said generously donated this piece of land for the school. The Sultanate of Oman under the benign and visionary leadership of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said has always helped the school and provided it with every opportunity to progress and prosper. Pakistan school Muscat was established in a rented flat in Muscat in 1975, as a result of a decision made in the first meeting of the Pakistani Culture Centre. The school was shifted to its present spacious campus in February 1981. The first batch of students appeared for SSC and H.S.S.C examinations in 1983 and 1985 respectively. The year 1986 saw the construction of a mosque on the school campus and also witnessed the establishment of science laboratories. The school library was established in 1993 and the Junior Block was added to the school building in 2004 with an extension of 16 more rooms in 2011. Pakistan School Salalah was established in the year 1982. The School is situated in Salalah, Dhareez North and its area is 15000 sq.m.It has a very big lush green playground.
