The Team lead Palliative Care Occupational Therapist (Level 4) is a clinical specialist position which requires advanced clinical reasoning and practice skills. The Team lead Palliative Care Occupational Therapist has a responsibility in leading the provision of Occupational Therapy services to patients within the Sacred Heart Supportive and Palliative Care Service. This position also has professional leadership and coordination for the professions of Occupational Therapy, Diversional Therapy, Music Therapy, AHA and Art Psychotherapy. This includes the management of standards of professional practice and ensuring the delivery of safe, efficient and effective patient care. The Team lead Palliative Care Occupational Therapist represents Occupational Therapy and provides advice to the Director of Supportive and Palliative Care, the Sacred Heart Health Service Manager and the Occupational Therapy Manager on clinical service delivery, practice and redesign and assists the service managers in developing clinical services in response to demand and client needs. This position is also a consultancy service in Palliative Care across the St Vincent’s Health Network and State/Federal Networks. ABOUT YOU:Flexibility to work varying start or finishing times between 7.30am and 5.530pmKnowledge and experience with computer systems and programsPrevious clerical experience, preferable experience within a Health Information Services or Medical Record Department.Excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills.Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.Attention to detail.Ability to develop knowledge and skills associated with processes and procedures, in an environment where fast turnaround of workload is required.Perform qualitative analysis to identify discrepancies with the medical record.Possession of a current NSW Driver's Licence desirable.
