BAU offers its academic staff members and students a persistently increasing amount of resources and facilities through its libraries, laboratories, and administrative offices located throughout its three campuses. Graduate Studies & Research at Beirut Arab University. It has been my privilege to act as the first Dean of Graduate Studies & Research and to oversee the development of several unique and timely graduate programs. This commitment supports the University's mission "BAU has been committed to offering outstanding educational programs."
Since its establishment in 1960, BAU has been committed to offer outstanding educational programs and provide an embracing environment for academic creativity and the development of leadership skills, instilling the concept of social responsibility while respecting diversity and multicultural understanding. The University promotes a stimulating academic atmosphere for its academic staff to ensure excellence in research and disseminate its outcomes to address community needs, both nationally and internationally. BAU relies on the University's contribution to the local community's sustainable development while maintaining its alumni engagement. BAU believes in its highly efficient leadership, well-structured governance system, and incredibly motivated academic staff.
BAU has made outstanding progress throughout the years. BAU's strategic goals for 2007-2012 of improving the student infrastructure, developing programs and curricula, enhancing the academic and administrative system, strengthening research and graduate programs, reinforcing partnerships and cooperation, and improving services and facilities have been achieved.
BAU's strategy for the years 2013-2020 develops the goals outlined in the strategy of 2007-2012. The next decade will witness various changes for the University with regards to the governance system, excellence in education, academic staff excellence, research excellence, academic and student services, university life, public engagement, alumni and friends network, international relations, and financial resources.
Building on our well-esteemed educational background, our continually expanding vision, our strife for achieving educational excellence, and our dedication to support research into current world issues, we pride ourselves in the unique experiences we offer our students at Beirut Arab University.
Our diverse academic environments allow us to contribute to society by educating empowered society leaders that are job-market-ready and fierce competitors in their fields.
Our recent achievements have enabled us to attain an International Institutional Accreditation from FIBAA and international accreditations for most of our programs. Together with our continually evolving university dynamics, these accreditations ensure the quality of the programs offered at Beirut Arab University and the graduates received by the job market.
