- At Chapel Field, our mission is to partner with parents to cultivate a joyful community of students who love the truth, pursue wisdom and virtue, and live for the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ. Chapel Field was founded in 1986 as a Christian College Preparatory High School. Our 100-acre campus is nestled in the rolling hills of the beautiful Hudson Valley in New York State, in the heart of the world’s top academic and cultural establishments: one hour from New York City, near Harvard, Yale, and Princeton Universities, and close to the United States Military Academy at West Point. The school now goes from Pre-K to twelfth grade. Chapel Field is accredited by the National Association of Private Schools and incorporated under the University of the State of New York. Several athletic leagues and music associations, Chapel Field, have been recognized numerous times for outstanding performances in athletics and music. Bible, science, music, and crafts are incorporated in the weekly lessons, preparing students to begin Kindergarten. Full or half-day schedules are available days offered to vary by year. In addition to the use of faith-based Abeka Book and Purposeful Design texts for reading, English, math, history, penmanship, and science, our curriculum includes Bible, foreign languages, art, music, physical education, and technology. Middle School students also participate in Spirit Week, the school drama, student government, Christian service, and mission trips. We have an active Pupil Voice which is made up of one representative from each class. The council meets regularly with the Headteacher to discuss a range of issues and to share the ideas and opinions from children across the school. Children also serve as playground buddies and we have a small team of award-winning Junior Road Safety Officers. All children are members of one of the school’s five houses and Year 6 Pupils are nominated House Captain and monitors at the start of each school year. We also elect a Head Boy and Head Girl each year along with deputies. We have a range of rewards systems in place, including house points, merits, class of the week, and attendance awards. For a school to be a safe, ordered environment, discipline is essential. Clear limits are placed on the children for their safety and welfare through which they should become responsible for their behavior, adopt a caring attitude to others and care for the school as a whole. Staff base their control on fairness, friendliness, and firmness. Our main priority is to ensure that every child's time at Field End is a happy one. However, there may be times when parents have particular concerns, in which case they should seek an immediate appointment with either their child's class teacher or Year Group Leader. If they are still not happy, they should make an appointment with a member of the Senior Leadership Team. Any complaint will be confidentially handled, evaluated, investigated, and, hopefully, resolved. If parents are still unhappy they should approach the governing board.

In addition to the use of faith-based Abeka Book and Purposeful Design texts for reading, English, math, history, penmanship, and science, our curriculum includes Bible, foreign languages, art, music, physical education, and technology. Our small class sizes and supportive faculty make for an ideal learning environment in which students are encouraged in healthy competition and school spirit. Hands-on activities, chapel, recess, community service, and field trips contribute to developing well-rounded students. Chapel Field is a Christian school committed to helping our students establish the necessary foundation for a lifetime of learning. With the use of time-tested techniques, a rich and demanding schedule, and a committed faculty, our students incrementally master the building blocks of more classical and hands-on education. As a Christian school, we encourage our students to view every aspect of their education and lives as a means to glorify God. Chapel Field Middle School houses grades 6-8 and is located on our South Campus along with our High School. Middle School students have the opportunity to begin honors & Regents classes and may participate in modified sports and vocal and instrumental ensembles. Modified sports available include soccer, basketball, softball, baseball, and track & field. Middle School students also participate in Spirit Week, the school drama, student government, Christian service, and mission trips. Chapel Field High School houses grades 9-12 and is located on our South Campus along with our Middle School. High School students have the opportunity to take AP & College courses as well as Regents classes. Students participate in JV and Varsity sports and vocal and instrumental ensembles, drama club, Student Government, National Honor Society, Youth Conquest with Christ, Math Team, mission trips, cultural trips, prom, beach day, and more.
Prior’s Field is a vibrant and successful school with a fascinating history. Pentland Field School is an all-through school for pupils aged 4-19 with a Statement of Special Educational Needs or a newly-introduced Education, Health and Care Plan. Our teachers, who are extraordinarily bright and passionate individuals, are genuinely committed to understanding and teaching adolescents in a way that takes all of their strengths and weaknesses into account. We understand that different children and different brains learn differently and strive to vary our teaching and assessment styles accordingly. Field students are required to participate in a studio or performing arts class every day of every year. While some schools may phase out art as part of a student's daily experience as they get older, we believe that regular participation in an art class – be it painting and drawing or playing music – categorically makes for better Calculus and English students and happier kids. Similarly, students at Field are asked to participate in our after-school athletics program during their time here. Requirements vary by grade, but most importantly, no student at Field is ever cut from a sports team. We believe that athletic experiences foster teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills. No child or teenager should be deprived of the opportunity to play based on their relative skill. All Field students are highly intelligent, but they do not all learn in the same way or at the same pace. We know that there are all kinds of minds. That's why our classes are small: because we are dedicated to teaching (and assessing) in various ways—through hands-on instruction, in small groups, using art or creativity, by discussion, by lecture. Many different students thrive in our classrooms, including those with mild to moderate diagnosed learning differences. But all of our students are keenly engaged, with teachers and with each other, in classrooms rich in conversation.
