- The Belarusian National Technical University (BNTU) is one of the leading technical universities in Belarus and the CIS. The BNTU has been training engineers since 1920. The BNTU today: Comprises 17 faculties offering high-quality training in 89 specialties and 121 specializations. Trains over 35 000 students in advanced BA, MA, Ph.D., and post-doctoral programs. Promoting historical, educational, and cultural heritage of the BPI-BSPA-BNTU (or University) about the strategic interests of Belarus. Large and complex tasks of recovering the national economy in the 1920s required highly qualified personnel for all the industries. Therefore, on December 10, 1920, Minsk Polytechnic School was transformed into a higher technical educational establishment Belarusian State Polytechnic Institute. This institution trained engineers for the primary industries of the state. Belarusian State Polytechnic encompassed five faculties. The teaching staff included 50 lecturers, 305 full-time students, and 119 students of the preparatory department who studied at the Institute during the first academic year. Later on, the Institute saw a series of reorganizations. It was not until July 1, 1933, that Belarusian Sovnarcom (government of those times) decided to restore the Polytechnic Institute, by then comprising 20 departments. In September 1933, Polytechnic Institute united 1200 students and about 120 professors. In the early, 1940s BPI became one of the leading technical institutes of the Soviet Union. Thirty-two departments of four faculties trained engineers in seven specialties. The number of lecturers reached 180, including 19 professors and 71 senior lecturers. In 1933-1941 About 2000 engineers graduated from BPI. The Great Patriotic war interrupted BPI activities. The Institute resumed its work in 1945, welcoming 375 students. In 1949 BPI encompassed 37 departments training 1500 students. The number of lecturers exceeded 60 by then. 1991 - on April 17, Belarusian Polytechnic Institute was reorganized into the Belorussian State Polytechnic Academy (BSPA). 2002 - on April 1, BSPA was reorganized into Belarusian National Technical University (BNTU) by the Presidential Decree. 2005 - on November 25, the CIS Heads of Government Council granted the Belarusian National Technical University (BNTU) the status of the primary organization for higher engineering education of the CIS member states. In the last five years, the BNTU has introduced 12 new specialties demanded by the country's economy, such as nuclear energy, computer mechatronics, and geodesy. - With its strong focus on the international importance of art, science, and culture, the Belarusian State Academy of Arts (BSAA) continuously strives to establish and maintain broad, long-term cooperation with higher education institutions of arts Europe and worldwide. The Academy is the only higher education institution of arts in the Republic of Belarus. Their five faculties feature a unique teaching staff that provides students with solid academic knowledge and skills and helps them develop their talents and get acquainted with new trends in the fields of art, science, and culture. Among them are Professor Vladimir Zinkevich (winner of prestigious competitions), the graphic artist Pavel Tatarnikau (double "Golden Apple" award winner at BIB – Illustration Biennale in Bratislava), the graphic artist Valery Slack (winner of international awards in the field of graphics), the famous film and theatre directors Vitautas Grigaliunas, Pavel Ivanov and Vladimir Zabello, the versatile designer Lev Tolbuzin, etc. Undergraduate, master's degree and postgraduate students and the teaching staff of the Academy take part in scientific and creative competitions, develop and realize their ideas and concepts as well as create new projects. Mikhail Barazna, Rector of BSAA, assisted by Ekaterina Kenigsberg, Head of the International Relations Department, was the curator and head of the Pavilion of the Republic of Belarus at the 54th International Art Exhibition – la Biennale di Venezia (Project «Kodex,» 2011). The artists Yury Alisevich, Dzianis Skvartsou, Viktar Piatrou, and Kanstantsin Kastsiuchenka, who participated in the Project, are all BSAA graduates. Mikhail Shikau, Professor of the Department of Interior and Equipment Design, was the architect of the pavilion. Numerous graduates of the Academy are now outstanding artists who have got recognition both in Belarus and abroad. Yury Yakavenka and Anzhela Malysheva were awarded Grand Prix of the International Engraving Biennale "Jozep de Ribera" in Xàtiva, Spain. In different years our students Alesya Skorobogataya, Denis Chubukov, Olga Melnik, Boris Borozna, Sergey Torbik, and Ruslan Fedotov were among the participants and prize-winners in different international competitions. - BGAA is a division of the Aviation Department of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Belarus. CAD holds a leading position in the field of training of aviation specialists for the state enterprise "Belaeronavigatsiya," the Ministry of transport and communications of the Republic of Belarus, Aviation Department of the Republic of Belarus, air force and air defense forces of the armed forces of the Republic of Belarus, the Aviation of the State border Committee of the Republic of Belarus, the Aviation of EMERCOM of the Republic of Belarus. - Belarusian State Agrarian Technical University (BSATU) is a rapidly growing multi-disciplinary teaching and research center of the Republic of Belarus, which trains highly qualified specialists. The structure of the University includes the University Administration, eight faculties, 42 chairs, 27 departments, and services. The University has the Republican educational and industrial center of practical training of innovations and development of new machinery complexes. The Republican educational, scientific, and industrial association "Agroengineer" was founded in BSATU in 2007. It comprises 14 agrarian colleges. More than 15000 students are taught there, and 500-600 of them enter the University annually according to the continuous integrated professional education system. The scientific and research Institute of mechanization and electrification of agriculture and the professional development and retraining Institute of agribusiness specialists affiliate with the University. The Educational Institution «Belarusian State Agrarian Technical University (BSATU) » invites everyone to get a good education. The admission of international students coming to the Republic of Belarus on the legal basis and having the necessary level of the previous education is carried out following the international treaties of the Republic of Belarus, as well as based on the contracts concluded by BSATU with foreign citizens or their representatives (organizations). Persons who have general secondary education or vocational education, or vocational secondary education proved by corresponding education certificate can enter BSATU. The admission of foreign citizens having the necessary level of the previous education is carried out on the terms of payment following the contract concluded by BSATU with foreign citizens. Foreign citizens who do not speak Russian will be enrolled in the preparatory department to study the Russian language and the main subjects of the chosen specialty.Foreign citizens enter BSATU on the results of final testing after completing the preparatory department. Those who have not got a certificate of the completion of the preparatory department enter the University on the interview results that evaluate whether the level of the Russian language knowledge is sufficient to study at the University. Identification documents (passport), appropriate visa, and compulsory medical insurance, completed following the Republic of Belarus legislation, are necessary for admission of foreign citizens and stateless persons to study at the University. Citizens of Russia, the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the Kyrgyz Republic are provided with the additional opportunity to enter higher educational institutions of the Republic of Belarus based on payment as provided for foreign citizens. Entrance examinations for foreign citizens are held in the form of an interview concerning level knowledge of the Russian language in which the University provides training. If a foreign citizen passes the interview successfully, he becomes a first-year student of the University by the Admission Committee's decision. A contract is concluded with the international student. According to this contract, the Rector issues the order about student's admission. In case of insufficient knowledge of the Russian language or specialized subjects, the applicant can be trained at the preparatory department with two directions: technical and economic. After completing the curriculum and passing exams, the student is issued the certificate of the completion of the preparatory department. The student is enrolled in the primary faculty of the chosen specialty of BSATU or can continue his study at any university of the Republic of Belarus or Commonwealth of Independent States. The training at the preparatory department takes one year. The students learn the Russian language and other subjects depending on the specialty they are going to obtain. Professional development and retraining institute of agribusiness specialists is a multifunctional university subdivision that provides professional development of agribusiness specialists throughout their labor activity according to agribusiness labor market demands and raises the professional competence of the managerial staff and specialists in three educational programs of professional development. More than 3000 learners improve their professional skills annually. Belarusian State Agrarian Technical University (the original name is Belarusian Institute of Mechanization and Electrification of Agriculture) was founded in October 1954. It started training specialists on "Mechanization of Agriculture" and "Electrification of Agriculture." Two hundred students (150 people to study the Mechanization of Agriculture and 50 people to study Electrification of Farm Production Processes) were admitted in 1954. During the following period, the Institute was developing and growing, and in 1992 it became Belarusian Agrarian Technical University. Since 2000, the University has been officially named Educational Institution "Belarusian State Agrarian Technical University" (BSATU) by the approval of the Minsk Executive Committee. For success in the training of specialists for the republic's agriculture, the University has been awarded the Diploma of Honour of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet, the Diploma of Honour of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, the Diploma of Honour of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus. In 2010 the University was the first among agricultural higher educational establishments of Belarus to receive a Certificate of Conformity of the Quality Management System BSATU that meets the requirements of ISO 9001-2009. - Today, the Belarusian State of the Orders of the October Revolution and the Order of the Labour Red Banner Agricultural Academy is the largest multidisciplinary agricultural institute of higher education among CIS and European countries. The BSAA is headed by Dr. P.A.Saskevich, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences. Throughout its history, BSAA has trained over 80 000 highly qualified specialists for the country's agro-industrial complex and other sectors. Many of its graduates have become prominent statesmen, scientists, heads of large establishments, enterprises, and made a great contribution to the development of the country's national economy. The first president of the Republic of Belarus has graduated from the BSAA. Moreover, the Academy is proud of this fact. For the outstanding achievements, managerial abilities, and professionalism in work, 22 academy graduates were given the title of Hero of Socialist Labor, 16 graduates – Honored Worker of Science and Technology, 60 – Honorary Figure of Agriculture. Among the alumni of the BSAA, there are 21 academicians and corresponding members of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, four acting rectors of Belarusian universities, 36% of the chairmen of the district executive committees, 40% of heads of departments of agricultural management district executive committees and nearly half of the heads of the national agricultural enterprises. New students can apply to the correspondence course each year from November 1-st to30th. Higher school of agribusiness provides education to people who have already obtained their undergraduate degree or in the last years of studies and want to get a degree in "Economics and management," "Business administration," "Marketing," "Commerce," "Accounting, analysis and audit," "Finance and audit."The Higher School of agribusiness was set up in 1999 and enrolled only 60 students. At present more than 400 students get their secondary education at higher school. Research in the Academy is carried out in the field of agrochemistry and soil science, ecological genetics and plant breeding, biotechnology in crop growing, agricultural ecology plant protection, agriculture, crop growing, feed production, energy-saving technologies in plant growing, horticulture, fruit and vegetable breeding, analytical chemistry and ecology biotechnology, cell and gene engineering in animal breeding, cattle breeding, farm animal feeding, farm animals veterinary, fishery, horse breeding, plant processing Mechanization of farms and crop growing, hydro-technical structures and hydro ecology, ameliorative and construction machines and their efficient application, drainage and irrigation, drainage systems efficiency, geodesy, planning of rural territories, land cadaster and law management in the agro-industrial complex, marketing, mathematical modeling, commerce, audit, finance, and control in the agricultural sphere. At present, the faculty provides training in three specialties: "Maintenance and Engineering Support of Farm Production," "Maintenance and Engineering Support of Land Reclamation and Waterworks," "Agro service." Graduates majoring in the first two specialties get an engineering qualification, and those majoring in the third specialty get a qualification of an engineer-manager. The Faculty of Land Reclamation and Construction is the oldest structural subdivision of the Academy. On the territory of Belarus, the faculty was the first educational institution to train highly qualified specialists in land reclamation and have a rich history and long-term traditions. At present, the faculty trains highly qualified experts for the Republic of Belarus' agro-industrial complex in two specialties: "Land Reclamation and Water Management and "Rural Development and Area Planning." After receiving a diploma in specialized secondary education, there is a possibility to be admitted to a short course of training in these two specialties. The history of training specialists for animal husbandry in our republic is connected with setting up the Zootechny faculty in 1930, which was renamed in Zoo Engineering Faculty in 1975. Throughout its history, the faculty trained over 7.5 thousand highly qualified specialists. Today the faculty offers undergraduate courses in zootechny (with the qualification "zoo engineer") on specializations: biotechnology and breeding, poultry farming, industrial pig production industrial fish breeding (with the qualification "engineer-technologist"). All the courses are professionally relevant, which means that graduate students are ready for the workplace. Land Use Planning Faculty was established in 1924. Its history began in 1859 when geodetic-taxation classes at Gory-Goretskaya rural school were opened. There are three departments at the faculty: the Department of Land Management, the Department of Land Cadaster and Law, the Department of Geodesy and Photogrammetry. The highly qualified teaching staff provides educational, methodological, and research work. The Agronomy Faculty was established in 1919 based on Goretsky Agricultural Institute. The beginning of agronomical education at the higher courses of Gory Goretskaya rural school (later the Belarusian State Agricultural Academy) refers to 1842. Dean of the Faculty is Y. Mirenkov, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, and Associate Professor The Faculty of Agroecology were established in 1996. The faculty departments have their glorious history and old traditions. In 1879, Gorki M. Rytov, an outstanding Russian scientist-agrobiologist in vegetable and fruit growing, began his activity. He is considered the father of Russian scientific horticulture and gardening. In August 1920, in Goretski Agricultural Institute, the Department of Vegetable and Fruit Growing was created. The Department of Agrichemistry was organized in 1921 by Academician Oscar Kedrov-Zinman, whose works on chemical land reclamation are known worldwide. The BSAA has been training accounts since 1958. The Faculty of Accounting, as a separate faculty, was created in 1966. Today there are more than 700 full-time students. Economic education has always been one of the main activities of the Belarusian State Agricultural Academy. According to the Gory-Goretsky Agricultural Institute (1859) regulations, a second-year-student could choose one of the following specialties: agriculture, cattle breeding, economics, and forestry. Thus, our educational establishment in the Russian Empire "Economic" as an independent specialty was first introduced. On November 1st, 2002, Business and Law Faculty was formed through the reorganization of the Economic faculty. There are five departments at the faculty: the Department of Agribusiness, the Department of State and Law History, the Department of History and Cultural Sciences, the Department of Marketing, the Department of Law. BSEU has a well-developed infrastructure of a training and scholarly complex: 11 schools, 59 departments (of which 39 are graduating ones), the Institute of Social-Liberal Education, the Institute of Raising Qualification and Retraining Economic Cadres, the Bobruisk branch, six Centers (those of scholarly research, macroeconomic research, management issues, and consulting services, merchandising research and expert examination, IT development and a publishing one), a library, research labs, divisions and services, a student campus, a sports complex, and a trade complex. The training process is carried out by highly professional teachers from the Department of Belarusian and Russian languages who have gained significant experience teaching Russian as a foreign language. Classes are held with the use of textbooks and teaching materials specially prepared for international students. The Department has a language laboratory equipped with video systems to show educational and feature films. Students are offered specialized computer classrooms with training and check-up programs for Russian as a foreign language. As a foreign language, courses of Russian will improve your knowledge of Russian grammar and familiarize you with Russian and Belarusian literature, culture, traditions, and national features of Belarusians. Highly skilled teachers teach the courses with many years of experience working with international students in Belarusian universities and abroad. Many of them are the authors of course books, tutorial guides, and original methodologies for teaching Russian as a foreign language. During the past years, the Pre-university department has accumulated a wealth of experience in teaching the Russian language to foreigners. This experience is reflected in the textbooks and course materials utilized in the classroom. Russian teachers prepared most of these materials for foreigners. All our teachers are fully qualified and experienced in teaching Russian as a foreign language to allow international students to meet the University's entry requirements. In-class teaching methods are augmented by various audio-visual aids available to students of the Pre-university department – these include several language labs with an extensive collection of audiotapes and classrooms equipped with video systems for viewing educational and feature films. Individual study rooms are equipped with computers and Russian training and controlling programs. The Belarus State Economic University (BSEU) was founded 77 years ago in 1933. For its activities back in the Soviet period, it was awarded the Order of Red Banner of Labor. This is one of the largest universities in the country. It trains specialists in the field of economics, management, and law—the graduates of the university work in all the national economy sectors both in the country and abroad. The Belarus State Economic University's student body accounts for 25,000 students, with 1,200 faculty members teaching them, 47 percent have advanced degrees and titles. The priorities in the organization of teaching are thorough training, a creative approach to mastering knowledge, and the realization of individual abilities. The focus is made on providing of the systemic level of studies, making connections among the subjects taught, establishing interdisciplinary courses, developing independent work skills, implementing active forms of the teaching process, and effective methods of testing. When the University restarted its activity, only 12 faculty members gave classes for 54 students. The following year, however, there were already 38 staff members and 252 students. The library already had a collection of 6,000 books. In 1945, the Republican Council on Science awarded graduation diplomas to the first 11 students of the pre-war alumnus class of 1941. First post-war graduates received their diplomas on March 2, 1946. This group numbered no more than 71 students, 22 of them fought in the battle-fields of the Great Patriotic War. From 1946 till 1950, 455 students graduated from the University. The leading University's building (7 Sverdlova St.), started functioning on January 3, 1950. Those days, one section of this building served as a dormitory for girls, for there was a continually growing number of students. Today, the University's premises complex comprises eight students' dormitory buildings. Our graduates are our pride; many of them went on to distinguished careers. An alumnus of the class of 1936, former BSSR Minister of Finance, Prime Minister of the State Planning Board, the deputy-chair of the Board of Ministers of BSSR, F. L. Kokhanov celebrated his 90th birthday on October 9, 2001. Another alumnus, M.G. Tkachev (the class of 1939) became a writer, worked as the Secretary-in-chief for the Writers Union of BSSR and was also the director of the 'Mastatskaja Literatura' publishing house. I.V. Protaschik (the class of 1947) fought as a partisan in World War II, made to Berlin. After the war, he researched the Academy of Sciences' Chemistry Institute in topochemical transformations. - Belarusian State Medical University is the leading higher medical, educational institution of the Republic of Belarus, having merited international authority and recognition. Teaching at the University is provided at 72 departments (among them 29 theoretical and 43 clinical). The academic classes are organized at 70 teaching hospitals as well as research and practice centers. The educational process coordinated by the Academic and Methodology Board, consisting of several departments and the Quality Management Sector, is carried out at the corresponding faculties. Education at the University is practice-oriented. On average, 70% of classes are either tutorials or practicals in labs. From the 2nd year onwards, the educational process at the clinical departments is organized at the premises of the Ministry of Health's medical institutions, which creates all the necessary facilities for students to acquire the knowledge and skills required by the curriculum. From the 3rd year (or from the 2nd year for those majoring in dentistry) onwards, the students undergo practical training supervised by highly qualified specialists of the corresponding health care institutions. The University actively implements innovative educational technologies meeting the Bologna process principles. All the University resources make up the educational portal, including the BSMU official site and intranet sites for teachers and students. Educational resources include a vast bank of full-text educational materials and visual aids, a considerable part of which has been created by the University teaching staff. The devised interactive E-textbooks help the students access current educational literature, presentations of lectures, tests for self-training, and self-control. The educational site provides numerous teaching and resource materials, regulatory documents for organizing the teaching process. The BSMU sanatorium is a preventive medical institution for students' treatment and rehabilitation during the academic year. The sanatorium has a general therapeutic profile for patients with the diseases of the cardiovascular system, gastrointestinal tract, musculoskeletal system, ENT diseases, and problems with the respiratory system and the eyes. In the health unit, one can get emergency medical care in case of diseases, injuries, and poisoning. The health unit provides out-patient care for patients. According to indications, a healthcare provider working there may put a student on sick leave from one to three days or make him (her) exempt from physical education classes up to five days. The university clinical departments' staff carries out a vast bulk of work, providing ambulatory organizational and methodological as well as therapeutic and consultative assistance to healthcare organizations in Minsk and throughout Belarus. Up to 2000 site visits in Minsk and 250-300 visits throughout the country are performed each year. On average, up to 3,500 patients are consulted in Minsk and about 1000 throughout the country. A large number of surgical interventions are performed in severe cases. Belarusian State Medical University is actively developing international cooperation with overseas partners. It annually signs from 10 to 15 agreements concerning academic and scientific cooperation with international research and educational institutions, is open to the establishment of new international relations, and readily examines incoming proposals for collaboration. The teaching staff of the clinical departments specializing in Surgery successfully implements new methods of treatment, such as the transplantation method of treating diabetes mellitus by grafting corresponding xenogenic cell transplants the surgical method of treating hyperparathyroidism by transplanting parathyrocytes. Belarusian State Medical University exercises foreign citizens' admission to the Preparatory Department and the 1st year of study on a fee basis. The history of the University can be traced back to 1921 when the Medical Faculty was created as a part of the Belarusian State University. The Medical Faculty became an independent educational institution in 1930. On 28 June 2001, Minsk State Medical Institute was renamed the state leading higher educational establishment «Belarusian State Medical University.» 1925 — the first class of graduates (21 students were awarded the diplomas and qualified as physicians). 1930 — the Belarusian State Medical Institute was founded on the base of the Medical Faculty. Additionally, besides the requirements established by law, an agreement provides the parties' responsibility for payment of expenses in case of deportation of a foreign citizen and a stateless person outside the Republic of Belarus. Higher education is the level of basic training aimed at developing the student's personality and intellectual and creative abilities, enabling him to obtain specialized theoretical and practical knowledge. At the end of the training course, the student gets a certification of a higher education specialist and a Master's degree. Following special permission (license) to carry out educational activities, BSPU provides getting higher education in 79 specialties and six specializations. All the specialties have passed state accreditation (Certificate). 11 Faculties and 56 Departments provide designing and implementation of educational programs of higher education. The system of training pedagogical staff at the University includes four / five-year training of specialists at the first stage of higher education with the possibility of continuing education to obtain the Master's degree at the second stage of higher education (Master's Degree Course). After obtaining a Master's degree, a graduate of the Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after Maxim Tank has the right to continue his/her education doing Ph.D. studies and then Doctorate studies. The training of students in higher education institutions is organized in full-time and extramural (including distance education) forms of education. - The Belarusian State University of Physical Education is the only specialized institution of higher education in the country for training in the field of physical culture, sport, and tourism. The University provides all kinds of educational services: pre-university preparation, university postgraduate education, retraining, and updating specialists in the field of physical culture, sport, and tourism. BSUPC actively conducts basic and applied research on elite sports, mass sports, health-improving, and adaptive physical culture, tourism, develop international relations with foreign education institutions, participate in sports competitions of various levels. Currently, we are training 4,581 students. There are 51master's51master's degree students, 56 postgraduate students, two doctoral degree students, including the citizens of Russia, Ukraine, Lithuania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Estonia, Syria, Libya, Iran, Iraq, China, China, and Israel. Over the years, we have had students from Tunisia, Jordan, Lebanon, Bosnia, and Herzegovina and other countries. Nevertheless, just a few years later, in June 1937, 250 students of the Belarusian Physical Training Technical School took part in the All-Union sports parade on the Red Square in Moscow. On July 22, 1937, the Belarusian Physical Training Technical School was reorganized into the Institute of Physical Culture of the Belarusian Soviet Socialist Republic. Before 1941, the Institute prepared 102 specialists in the field of physical culture and sport. The Second World War interrupted academic life. About two hundred teachers and students of the Institute were courageously fighting against fascists, joining the ranks of the Soviet Army and partisan detachments. Immediately after the liberation of Minsk from the German troops, on October 1, 1944, the Institute resumed the work. Its buildings and sports facilities were restored mainly by teachers and students. In subsequent years, the Institute has significantly expanded its educational and production facilities. New dormitories, a swimming pool, a stadium, sports facilities were built, and in 1983, a new educational building appeared. In April 1992, based on the Belarusian State Institute of Physical Culture (the winner of the "Red Banner of Labour" award), the Academy of Physical Education and Sports of the Republic of Belarus (since March 2001 known as Belarusian State Academy of Physical Culture) was established. As new departments were opening, there were more and more students. In 2003, the Academy was renamed into the Belarusian State University of Physical Culture (BSUPC). It bears this name to this day. In 2007, the University celebrated its 70th anniversary, which was an important milestone. In the following 2017, BSUPC will hold various festivities devoted to the 80th anniversary of the University. - Belarusian Trade and Economics University of Consumer Cooperatives is the only cooperative higher education institution of Belcoopsoyuz in the Republic of Belarus, and training qualified specialists for consumer cooperatives and other spheres of the national economy. Now BTEU is a research and educational center. Structure of the University (since November 2014) includes three faculties of day and correspondence forms of training (including 13 departments), Faculty of Qualification Improvement and Personnel Retraining (including one department), Department of Postgraduate Course, Department of Distance Learning Technologies and Innovations, Department of Career Guidance of Youth, Department of Coordination of Scientific Projects and Programs, Department of International Relations, etc. Since 2010 the University functions according to the certified Quality Management System of education meeting the requirements of STB ISO 9001-2009. In November 2015, the University successfully passed inspection control of the certified Quality Management System by audit team of Educational institution "Belarusian State Institute of Qualification Improvement and Personnel Retraining for Standardization, Metrology, and Quality Management". In September 2016, the University moved to the new version of STB ISO 9001-2015, and, as well, the actualization of the quality management system documents was made (order of the Rector of 09.09.2016 № 340п). One of the competitive advantages of cooperative education and factors of the improvement of quality of training of specialists at Belarusian Trade and Economics University of Consumer Cooperatives is the integration of secondary vocational and higher education. The University builds a relationship with establishments of secondary vocational education based on agreements on specialists' continuous training. The educational program of Postgraduate course providing conferring of scientific qualification "Researcher" is implemented at the University in 5 specialties. The educational program of retraining of high-level personnel and specialists having a higher education is offered in 25 specialties. The educational program of high-level retraining personnel and specialists having secondary vocational education is offered in 2 specialties. Applicants are offered to complete the educational program's training for admission to higher education institutions of the Republic of Belarus in the form of training courses on studying subjects and particular disciplines for the training of listeners for the centralized testing and entrance tests graduates of colleges. I am starting from 2014 implementation of an educational program of additional education of children and youth (in the form of the association on interests (club) – "English (1, 2, 3 levels) on educational-methodical complex "Fairy Land," and associations on interests (club) "Linguistic camp for school pupils" is being complemented (from 9 years). The total number of employees at the University in November 2016 was 638 persons, including leading personnel - 87 persons, specialists (including academic staff) - 349 persons. The educational process is provided by 198 persons, including staff with scientific degrees and ranks -106 persons (53.5%), including Doctors of Science - 7 persons, Ph.D. - 99 persons, Professors - 8 persons, Associate Professors - 91 persons. Many of them have graduated from the University. The staff is continually improving pedagogical and professional skills, uses innovative technologies in the educational process, working closely with organizations and enterprises of consumer cooperatives and other forms of property. Teaching, and respectively, the formation of skills of future specialists, is carried out following modern requirements dictated by the labor market. Innovative technology and interactive teaching methods are actively implemented in the educational process, and distance learning is being actively developed. The significant role in the strengthening of practical training and active interaction of the University with the organizations is achieved by creating 15 branches of departments, which provide essential integration of education, production, and science. The University is actively pursuing a policy of integration into the world's educational, scientific, and cultural space. For the implementation of the state policy to increase the export of educational services, BTEU considerably increased the contingent of international students in recent years. Thus, in the 2015-2016 academic year, foreign citizens from Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Russia, Moldova, Nigeria, Syria, and Turkey were trained in various educational programs. Business cooperation with foreign HEIs is being developed by the implementation of the existing cooperation agreements. The most successful and dynamic partnership is conducted with countries of the former Soviet Union – Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, and Georgia. Permanent partners from far-abroad countries are HEIs from Sweden, Spain, Bulgaria, Greece, and Portugal. Recently there appeared new partnership skills with HEIs from Belgium and Great Britain. The University has 62 bilateral agreements with higher education institutions from 16 countries. For further attraction for foreign citizens' training and improvement of the contents and technologies of educational activity at the University, the teaching of particular subjects has been conducted in English since 2013. The University initiated the establishment of Network University "Cooperation" and coordinated the development of statutory documents. In September 2016, based on Karaganda Economic University of Kazpotrebsoyuz (Republic of Kazakhstan) XVI Meeting of members of International Public Organization, "Council of Heads of cooperative educational institutions" took place. During the meeting, Declaration of the collaboration of cooperative educational institutions of the CIS countries on the establishment of the Network University "Cooperation" and a consortium agreement on the establishment of Network University were signed. The University has two academic buildings with a total area about 15 thousand sq.m for the organization of educational process there are, as well, more than 100 auditoriums and lecture halls, including ones, equipped with stationary multimedia complexes, small assembly hall, 21 computer classes of general and special purposes with the total amount of about 240 personal computers, computer laboratory for independent work of students, the class for computer-based testing, an electronic reading-room, a class of automation of trade, classes for webinars, etc. The Library of BTEU has one of the best in the Gomel region fund of economic literature and contains about one million national and foreign volumes. In the functioning of the University, the automated information library system (AILS) is used. BTEU has five well-equipped dormitories accommodating 2.265 persons. Every nonresident student of the University is provided with accommodation at the dormitory. The sports base of the University consists of the sports campus with a total area of 3,3 thousand sq.m for 2 600 persons with the full range of necessary sports and fitness halls, four sports grounds, a stadium with a football pitch for mini-soccer, a basketball court, a racetrack and sector for long jumps. BTEU has a modern editorial-and-publishing base, including private polygraphy. The scientific and practical magazine "Consumer cooperatives" in the list of scientific publications of Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Belarus is issued based on the University.The student's club has a big assembly hall for 800 persons, eight rehearsal rooms, and a dance floor. The state always appreciated the University's long-term activity in preparation of highly qualified personnel for the national economy. In 2005 and 2014, the University was awarded by Certificates of honor of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus. - Today, the Belarusian State of the Orders of the October Revolution and the Order of the Labour Red Banner Agricultural Academy is the largest multidisciplinary agricultural institute of higher education among CIS and European countries. The BSAA is headed by Dr. P.A.Saskevich, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences. Throughout its history, BSAA has trained over 80 000 highly qualified specialists for the country's agro-industrial complex and other sectors. Graduates majoring in the first two specialties get an engineering qualification, and those majoring in the third specialty get a qualification of an engineer-manager. The Faculty of Land Reclamation and Construction is the oldest structural subdivision of the Academy. On the territory of Belarus, the faculty was the first educational institution to train highly qualified specialists in land reclamation and have a rich history and long-term traditions. At present, the faculty trains highly qualified experts for the Republic of Belarus' agro-industrial complex in two specialties: "Land Reclamation and Water Management and "Rural Development and Area Planning." After receiving a diploma in specialized secondary education, there is a possibility to be admitted to a short course of training in these two specialties. The history of training specialists for animal husbandry in our republic is connected with setting up the Zootechny faculty in 1930, which was renamed in Zoo Engineering Faculty in 1975. Throughout its history, the faculty trained over 7.5 thousand highly qualified specialists. Today the faculty offers undergraduate courses in zootechny (with the qualification "zoo engineer") on specializations: biotechnology and breeding, poultry farming, industrial pig production industrial fish breeding (with the qualification "engineer-technologist"). All the courses are professionally relevant, which means that graduate students are ready for the workplace. Land Use Planning Faculty was established in 1924. Its history began in 1859 when geodetic-taxation classes at Gory-Goretskaya rural school were opened. There are three departments at the faculty: the Department of Land Management, the Department of Land Cadaster and Law, the Department of Geodesy and Photogrammetry. The highly qualified teaching staff provides educational, methodological, and research work. The Agronomy Faculty was established in 1919 based on Goretsky Agricultural Institute. The beginning of agronomical education at the higher courses of Gory Goretskaya rural school (later the Belarusian State Agricultural Academy) refers to 1842. Dean of the Faculty is Y. Mirenkov, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, and Associate Professor The Faculty of Agroecology were established in 1996. The faculty departments have their glorious history and old traditions. In 1879, Gorki M. Rytov, an outstanding Russian scientist-agrobiologist in vegetable and fruit growing, began his activity. He is considered the father of Russian scientific horticulture and gardening. In August 1920, in Goretski Agricultural Institute, the Department of Vegetable and Fruit Growing was created. The Department of Agrichemistry was organized in 1921 by Academician Oscar Kedrov-Zinman, whose works on chemical land reclamation are known worldwide. The BSAA has been training accounts since 1958. The Faculty of Accounting, as a separate faculty, was created in 1966. Today there are more than 700 full-time students. Economic education has always been one of the main activities of the Belarusian State Agricultural Academy. According to the Gory-Goretsky Agricultural Institute (1859) regulations, a second-year-student could choose one of the following specialties: agriculture, cattle breeding, economics, and forestry. Thus, our educational establishment in the Russian Empire "Economic" as an independent specialty was first introduced. On November 1st, 2002, Business and Law Faculty was formed through the reorganization of the Economic faculty. There are five departments at the faculty: the Department of Agribusiness, the Department of State and Law History, the Department of History and Cultural Sciences, the Department of Marketing, the Department of Law. Large and complex tasks of recovering the national economy in the 1920s required highly qualified personnel for all the industries. Therefore, on December 10, 1920, Minsk Polytechnic School was transformed into a higher technical educational establishment Belarusian State Polytechnic Institute. This institution trained engineers for the primary industries of the state. Belarusian State Polytechnic encompassed five faculties. The teaching staff included 50 lecturers, 305 full-time students, and 119 students of the preparatory department who studied at the Institute during the first academic year. Later on, the Institute saw a series of reorganizations. It was not until July 1, 1933, that Belarusian Sovnarcom (government of those times) decided to restore the Polytechnic Institute, by then comprising 20 departments. In September 1933, Polytechnic Institute united 1200 students and about 120 professors. In the early, 1940s BPI became one of the leading technical institutes of the Soviet Union. Thirty-two departments of four faculties trained engineers in seven specialties. The number of lecturers reached 180, including 19 professors and 71 senior lecturers. In 1933-1941 About 2000 engineers graduated from BPI. The Great Patriotic war interrupted BPI activities. The Institute resumed its work in 1945, welcoming 375 students. In 1949 BPI encompassed 37 departments training 1500 students. The number of lecturers exceeded 60 by then. 1991 - on April 17, Belarusian Polytechnic Institute was reorganized into the Belorussian State Polytechnic Academy (BSPA). 2002 - on April 1, BSPA was reorganized into Belarusian National Technical University (BNTU) by the Presidential Decree. 2005 - on November 25, the CIS Heads of Government Council granted the Belarusian National Technical University (BNTU) the status of the primary organization for higher engineering education of the CIS member states. In the last five years, the BNTU has introduced 12 new specialties demanded by the country's economy, such as nuclear energy, computer mechatronics, and geodesy. - Belarusian State Medical University is the leading higher medical, educational institution of the Republic of Belarus, having merited international authority and recognition. Teaching at the University is provided at 72 departments (among them 29 theoretical and 43 clinical). The academic classes are organized at 70 teaching hospitals as well as research and practice centers. The educational process coordinated by the Academic and Methodology Board, consisting of several departments and the Quality Management Sector, is carried out at the corresponding faculties. Education at the University is practice-oriented. On average, 70% of classes are either tutorials or practicals in labs. From the 2nd year onwards, the educational process at the clinical departments is organized at the premises of the Ministry of Health's medical institutions, which creates all the necessary facilities for students to acquire the knowledge and skills required by the curriculum. From the 3rd year (or from the 2nd year for those majoring in dentistry) onwards, the students undergo practical training supervised by highly qualified specialists of the corresponding health care institutions. The University actively implements innovative educational technologies meeting the Bologna process principles. All the University resources make up the educational portal, including the BSMU official site and intranet sites for teachers and students. Educational resources include a vast bank of full-text educational materials and visual aids, a considerable part of which has been created by the University teaching staff. The BSMU sanatorium is a preventive medical institution for students' treatment and rehabilitation during the academic year. The sanatorium has a general therapeutic profile for patients with the diseases of the cardiovascular system, gastrointestinal tract, musculoskeletal system, ENT diseases, and problems with the respiratory system and the eyes. In the health unit, one can get emergency medical care in case of diseases, injuries, and poisoning. The health unit provides out-patient care for patients. According to indications, a healthcare provider working there may put a student on sick leave from one to three days or make him (her) exempt from physical education classes up to five days. The university clinical departments' staff carries out a vast bulk of work, providing ambulatory organizational and methodological as well as therapeutic and consultative assistance to healthcare organizations in Minsk and throughout Belarus. Up to 2000 site visits in Minsk and 250-300 visits throughout the country are performed each year. On average, up to 3,500 patients are consulted in Minsk and about 1000 throughout the country. A large number of surgical interventions are performed in severe cases. Belarusian State Medical University is actively developing international cooperation with overseas partners. Citizens of Russia, the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the Kyrgyz Republic are provided with the additional opportunity to enter higher educational institutions of the Republic of Belarus based on payment as provided for foreign citizens. Entrance examinations for foreign citizens are held in the form of an interview concerning level knowledge of the Russian language in which the University provides training. If a foreign citizen passes the interview successfully, he becomes a first-year student of the University by the Admission Committee's decision. A contract is concluded with the international student. According to this contract, the Rector issues the order about student's admission. In case of insufficient knowledge of the Russian language or specialized subjects, the applicant can be trained at the preparatory department with two directions: technical and economic. After completing the curriculum and passing exams, the student is issued the certificate of the completion of the preparatory department. The student is enrolled in the primary faculty of the chosen specialty of BSATU or can continue his study at any university of the Republic of Belarus or Commonwealth of Independent States. The training at the preparatory department takes one year. The students learn the Russian language and other subjects depending on the specialty they are going to obtain. Belarusian State Agrarian Technical University (the original name is Belarusian Institute of Mechanization and Electrification of Agriculture) was founded in October 1954. It started training specialists on "Mechanization of Agriculture" and "Electrification of Agriculture." In 2010 the University was the first among agricultural higher educational establishments of Belarus to receive a Certificate of Conformity of the Quality Management System BSATU that meets the requirements of ISO 9001-2009. In 2013 the University was awarded the Prize of the Government of the Republic of Belarus for achievements in the field of quality in 2012.

- Belarusian Trade and Economics University of Consumer Cooperatives is the only cooperative higher education institution of Belcoopsoyuz in the Republic of Belarus, and training qualified specialists for consumer cooperatives and other spheres of the national economy. Now BTEU is a research and educational center. Structure of the University (since November 2014) includes three faculties of day and correspondence forms of training (including 13 departments), Faculty of Qualification Improvement and Personnel Retraining (including one department), Department of Postgraduate Course, Department of Distance Learning Technologies and Innovations, Department of Career Guidance of Youth, Department of Coordination of Scientific Projects and Programs, Department of International Relations, etc. Since 2010 the University functions according to the certified Quality Management System of education meeting the requirements of STB ISO 9001-2009. In November 2015, the University successfully passed inspection control of the certified Quality Management System by audit team of Educational institution "Belarusian State Institute of Qualification Improvement and Personnel Retraining for Standardization, Metrology, and Quality Management". In September 2016, the University moved to the new version of STB ISO 9001-2015, and, as well, the actualization of the quality management system documents was made (order of the Rector of 09.09.2016 № 340п). One of the competitive advantages of cooperative education and factors of the improvement of quality of training of specialists at Belarusian Trade and Economics University of Consumer Cooperatives is the integration of secondary vocational and higher education. This integrated system, effective from specialized training, and reduced the timing of receiving education, approved itself, and is actively used in consumer cooperation. The University builds a relationship with establishments of secondary vocational education based on agreements on specialists' continuous training. The educational program of Postgraduate course providing conferring of scientific qualification "Researcher" is implemented at the University in 5 specialties. The educational program of retraining of high-level personnel and specialists having a higher education is offered in 25 specialties. The educational program of high-level retraining personnel and specialists having secondary vocational education is offered in 2 specialties. Applicants are offered to complete the educational program's training for admission to higher education institutions of the Republic of Belarus in the form of training courses on studying subjects and particular disciplines for the training of listeners for the centralized testing and entrance tests graduates of colleges. I am starting from 2014 implementation of an educational program of additional education of children and youth (in the form of the association on interests (club) – "English (1, 2, 3 levels) on educational-methodical complex "Fairy Land," and associations on interests (club) "Linguistic camp for school pupils" is being complemented (from 9 years). The total number of employees at the University in November 2016 was 638 persons, including leading personnel - 87 persons, specialists (including academic staff) - 349 persons. The educational process is provided by 198 persons, including staff with scientific degrees and ranks -106 persons (53.5%), including Doctors of Science - 7 persons, Ph.D. - 99 persons, Professors - 8 persons, Associate Professors - 91 persons. Many of them have graduated from the University. The staff is continually improving pedagogical and professional skills, uses innovative technologies in the educational process, working closely with organizations and enterprises of consumer cooperatives and other forms of property. Teaching, and respectively, the formation of skills of future specialists, is carried out following modern requirements dictated by the labor market. Innovative technology and interactive teaching methods are actively implemented in the educational process, and distance learning is being actively developed. The significant role in the strengthening of practical training and active interaction of the University with the organizations is achieved by creating 15 branches of departments, which provide essential integration of education, production, and science. The University is actively pursuing a policy of integration into the world's educational, scientific, and cultural space. For the implementation of the state policy to increase the export of educational services, BTEU considerably increased the contingent of international students in recent years. Thus, in the 2015-2016 academic year, foreign citizens from Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Russia, Moldova, Nigeria, Syria, and Turkey were trained in various educational programs. Business cooperation with foreign HEIs is being developed by the implementation of the existing cooperation agreements. The most successful and dynamic partnership is conducted with countries of the former Soviet Union – Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, and Georgia. Permanent partners from far-abroad countries are HEIs from Sweden, Spain, Bulgaria, Greece, and Portugal. Recently there appeared new partnership skills with HEIs from Belgium and Great Britain. The University has 62 bilateral agreements with higher education institutions from 16 countries. For further attraction for foreign citizens' training and improvement of the contents and technologies of educational activity at the University, the teaching of particular subjects has been conducted in English since 2013. The University initiated the establishment of Network University "Cooperation" and coordinated the development of statutory documents. In September 2016, based on Karaganda Economic University of Kazpotrebsoyuz (Republic of Kazakhstan) XVI Meeting of members of International Public Organization, "Council of Heads of cooperative educational institutions" took place. During the meeting, Declaration of the collaboration of cooperative educational institutions of the CIS countries on the establishment of the Network University "Cooperation" and a consortium agreement on the establishment of Network University were signed. The University has two academic buildings with a total area about 15 thousand sq.m for the organization of educational process there are, as well, more than 100 auditoriums and lecture halls, including ones, equipped with stationary multimedia complexes, small assembly hall, 21 computer classes of general and special purposes with the total amount of about 240 personal computers, computer laboratory for independent work of students, the class for computer-based testing, an electronic reading-room, a class of automation of trade, classes for webinars, etc. The Library of BTEU has one of the best in the Gomel region fund of economic literature and contains about one million national and foreign volumes. In the functioning of the University, the automated information library system (AILS) is used. BTEU has five well-equipped dormitories accommodating 2.265 persons. Every nonresident student of the University is provided with accommodation at the dormitory. The sports base of the University consists of the sports campus with a total area of 3,3 thousand sq.m for 2 600 persons with the full range of necessary sports and fitness halls, four sports grounds, a stadium with a football pitch for mini-soccer, a basketball court, a racetrack and sector for long jumps. BTEU has a modern editorial-and-publishing base, including private polygraphy. The scientific and practical magazine "Consumer cooperatives" in the list of scientific publications of Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Belarus is issued based on the University.The student's club has a big assembly hall for 800 persons, eight rehearsal rooms, and a dance floor. The state always appreciated the University's long-term activity in preparation of highly qualified personnel for the national economy. In 2005 and 2014, the University was awarded by Certificates of honor of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus. According to the results of 2014, the University was declared the winner in the nomination "The best higher education institution" in Gomel and Gomel region. The President of the Republic of Belarus adopted some Decrees concerning the university's activity, thereby BTEU and its graduates have privileges similar to the privileges provided to graduates and HEIs of the state form of ownership. The wealth of experience gained over 50 years allows to hope for the further perspective development of the University based on active use of innovative educational technologies, every possible development of scientific potential, international cooperation, close interaction with the organizations of consumer cooperatives and government institutions and aimed at well-being and success.

- The Belarus State Economic University (BSEU) is a sophisticated educational establishment, which trains specialists in the field of economics and management, finance and banking, accounting and statistics, commerce, international economic relations, economic policies, business communications techniques, marketing, logistics, economic law, economics and management of tourism, the economics of labor and nature use, advertising activities, and price formations. BSEU has a well-developed infrastructure of a training and scholarly complex: 11 schools, 59 departments (of which 39 are graduating ones), the Institute of Social-Liberal Education, the Institute of Raising Qualification and Retraining Economic Cadres, the Bobruisk branch, six Centers (those of scholarly research, macroeconomic research, management issues, and consulting services, merchandising research and expert examination, IT development and a publishing one), a library, research labs, divisions and services, a student campus, a sports complex, and a trade complex. The training process is carried out by highly professional teachers from the Department of Belarusian and Russian languages who have gained significant experience teaching Russian as a foreign language. Classes are held with the use of textbooks and teaching materials specially prepared for international students. The Department has a language laboratory equipped with video systems to show educational and feature films. Students are offered specialized computer classrooms with training and check-up programs for Russian as a foreign language. Many of them are the authors of course books, tutorial guides, and original methodologies for teaching Russian as a foreign language. During the past years, the Pre-university department has accumulated a wealth of experience in teaching the Russian language to foreigners. This experience is reflected in the textbooks and course materials utilized in the classroom. Russian teachers prepared most of these materials for foreigners. All our teachers are fully qualified and experienced in teaching Russian as a foreign language to allow international students to meet the University's entry requirements. In-class teaching methods are augmented by various audio-visual aids available to students of the Pre-university department – these include several language labs with an extensive collection of audiotapes and classrooms equipped with video systems for viewing educational and feature films. Individual study rooms are equipped with computers and Russian training and controlling programs. The Belarus State Economic University (BSEU) was founded 77 years ago in 1933. For its activities back in the Soviet period, it was awarded the Order of Red Banner of Labor. This is one of the largest universities in the country. It trains specialists in the field of economics, management, and law—the graduates of the university work in all the national economy sectors both in the country and abroad. The Belarus State Economic University's student body accounts for 25,000 students, with 1,200 faculty members teaching them, 47 percent have advanced degrees and titles. The priorities in the organization of teaching are thorough training, a creative approach to mastering knowledge, and the realization of individual abilities. The focus is made on providing of the systemic level of studies, making connections among the subjects taught, establishing interdisciplinary courses, developing independent work skills, implementing active forms of the teaching process, and effective methods of testing. When the University restarted its activity, only 12 faculty members gave classes for 54 students. The following year, however, there were already 38 staff members and 252 students. The library already had a collection of 6,000 books. In 1945, the Republican Council on Science awarded graduation diplomas to the first 11 students of the pre-war alumnus class of 1941. First post-war graduates received their diplomas on March 2, 1946. This group numbered no more than 71 students, 22 of them fought in the battle-fields of the Great Patriotic War. From 1946 till 1950, 455 students graduated from the University. The leading University's building (7 Sverdlova St.), started functioning on January 3, 1950. Those days, one section of this building served as a dormitory for girls, for there was a continually growing number of students. Today, the University's premises complex comprises eight students' dormitory buildings. Our graduates are our pride; many of them went on to distinguished careers. An alumnus of the class of 1936, former BSSR Minister of Finance, Prime Minister of the State Planning Board, the deputy-chair of the Board of Ministers of BSSR, F. L. Kokhanov celebrated his 90th birthday on October 9, 2001. Another alumnus, M.G. Tkachev (the class of 1939) became a writer, worked as the Secretary-in-chief for the Writers Union of BSSR and was also the director of the 'Mastatskaja Literatura' publishing house. I.V. Protaschik (the class of 1947) fought as a partisan in World War II, made to Berlin. After the war, he researched the Academy of Sciences' Chemistry Institute in topochemical transformations. He was honored with the title of the 'Inventor Emeritus of the USSR' in 1980. His discoveries in lubricant materials saved the country a great deal of money.

- The Belarusian State University of Physical Education is the only specialized institution of higher education in the country for training in the field of physical culture, sport, and tourism. The University provides all kinds of educational services: pre-university preparation, university postgraduate education, retraining, and updating specialists in the field of physical culture, sport, and tourism. BSUPC actively conducts basic and applied research on elite sports, mass sports, health-improving, and adaptive physical culture, tourism, develop international relations with foreign education institutions, participate in sports competitions of various levels. Currently, we are training 4,581 students. There are 51master's51master's degree students, 56 postgraduate students, two doctoral degree students, including the citizens of Russia, Ukraine, Lithuania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Estonia, Syria, Libya, Iran, Iraq, China, China, and Israel. Over the years, we have had students from Tunisia, Jordan, Lebanon, Bosnia, and Herzegovina and other countries. At the University of Physical Culture, there are two sports-pedagogical faculties, the Faculty of Health-Oriented Physical Training and Tourism, the Faculty of Pre-university Training, the Institute of Tourism, the Institute of updating and retraining for managers and specialists, four centers, 34 academic departments, postgraduate and doctoral degree courses, the Theses Defense Board as well as other units and supporting services. The educational process is carried out by about 400 people, including eight doctors and 96 candidates of sciences, 12 professors, 88 associate professors. To ensure the educational process and conduct the research, the University has comfortable auditoriums and lecture halls, specialized labs and classrooms, which are equipped with modern teaching aids, instruments and specialized equipment, video cameras, audio, and video recorders, digital terminal, OHRs and multimedia projectors, scanners, computers, medical diagnostic equipment. In recent years, the country's central sports university's material base and technical equipment have been significantly improved. The sports training complex was built, which houses facilities for basketball and handball, volleyball and tennis, freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling, the football hall, the gyms for weightlifting, boxing, fencing, gymnastics, precise mechanical action sports, as well as the combined dance hall, skiing center, a shooting gallery, and a medical center. In 2014, we built and put two sports training facilities, the Swimming Pool and the Indoor Athletic Track. The University cooperates with the related departments of other domestic educational institutions. It contributes to the development of relations with leading foreign sports universities in Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Moldova, Bulgaria, Latvia, Sweden, Germany, China, and other countries. BSUPC has guided to the elite sport many outstanding athletes and coaches, including Alexander Medved, Romuald Klim, Vladimir Parfenovich, Elena Belova, Vitaly Scherbo, Ellina Zvereva, Ekaterina Karsten, Alexei Grishin, Dmitry Dashchynski, Victoria Azarenka, Alexandra Gerasimenya, Lubou Cherkashina, Anton Kushnir, Vladislav Goncharov, and many other Olympians has known worldwide. The Belarusian State University of Physical Culture pays special attention to international students' does the best to integrate foreign culturalists in Belarusian living comfortable and culture surroundings, to create comfort conditions for studies, leisure, and sports activities. The University extended the deadline for the foreigners'foreigners' entrance applications. The number of Russian language lessons was increased, and what is more, BSUPC provides international students with the opportunity to handle their favorite sports. The Belarusian State University of Physical Culture has grown from a small sports college, which in 1929 numbered several dozens of students. Nevertheless, just a few years later, in June 1937, 250 students of the Belarusian Physical Training Technical School took part in the All-Union sports parade on the Red Square in Moscow. On July 22, 1937, the Belarusian Physical Training Technical School was reorganized into the Institute of Physical Culture of the Belarusian Soviet Socialist Republic. Before 1941, the Institute prepared 102 specialists in the field of physical culture and sport. The Second World War interrupted academic life. About two hundred teachers and students of the Institute were courageously fighting against fascists, joining the ranks of the Soviet Army and partisan detachments. Immediately after the liberation of Minsk from the German troops, on October 1, 1944, the Institute resumed the work. Its buildings and sports facilities were restored mainly by teachers and students. In subsequent years, the Institute has significantly expanded its educational and production facilities. New dormitories, a swimming pool, a stadium, sports facilities were built, and in 1983, a new educational building appeared. In April 1992, based on the Belarusian State Institute of Physical Culture (the winner of the "Red Banner of Labour" award), the Academy of Physical Education and Sports of the Republic of Belarus (since March 2001 known as Belarusian State Academy of Physical Culture) was established. As new departments were opening, there were more and more students. In 2003, the Academy was renamed into the Belarusian State University of Physical Culture (BSUPC). It bears this name to this day. In 2007, the University celebrated its 70th anniversary, which was an important milestone. In the following 2017, BSUPC will hold various festivities devoted to the 80th anniversary of the University. Today, BSUPC is the only specialized institution in the country that trains specialists for sports and tourism. Over the years of its existence, more than 27,000 people have graduated from the University.
