The Farm Mechanization Faculty was set up in the Academy in 1947 and laid the foundation of higher education in the field of farm mechanization in Belarus. At present, the faculty provides training in three specialties: "Maintenance and Engineering Support of Farm Production," "Maintenance and Engineering Support of Land Reclamation and Waterworks," "Agro service." Graduates majoring in the first two specialties get an engineering qualification, and those majoring in the third specialty get a qualification of an engineer-manager.

The Faculty of Land Reclamation and Construction is the oldest structural subdivision of the Academy. On the territory of Belarus, the faculty was the first educational institution to train highly qualified specialists in land reclamation and have a rich history and long-term traditions. At present, the faculty trains highly qualified experts for the Republic of Belarus' agro-industrial complex in two specialties: "Land Reclamation and Water Management and "Rural Development and Area Planning." After receiving a diploma in specialized secondary education, there is a possibility to be admitted to a short course of training in these two specialties.

The history of training specialists for animal husbandry in our republic is connected with setting up the Zootechny faculty in 1930, which was renamed in Zoo Engineering Faculty in 1975. Throughout its history, the faculty trained over 7.5 thousand highly qualified specialists. Today the faculty offers undergraduate courses in zootechny (with the qualification "zoo engineer") on specializations: biotechnology and breeding, poultry farming, industrial pig production industrial fish breeding (with the qualification "engineer-technologist"). All the courses are professionally relevant, which means that graduate students are ready for the workplace.

Land Use Planning Faculty was established in 1924. Its history began in 1859 when geodetic-taxation classes at Gory-Goretskaya rural school were opened. There are three departments at the faculty: the Department of Land Management, the Department of Land Cadaster and Law, the Department of Geodesy and Photogrammetry. The highly qualified teaching staff provides educational, methodological, and research work.

The Agronomy Faculty was established in 1919 based on Goretsky Agricultural Institute. The beginning of agronomical education at the higher courses of Gory Goretskaya rural school (later the Belarusian State Agricultural Academy) refers to 1842.

Dean of the Faculty is Y. Mirenkov, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, and Associate Professor The Faculty of Agroecology were established in 1996. The faculty departments have their glorious history and old traditions. In 1879, Gorki M. Rytov, an outstanding Russian scientist-agrobiologist in vegetable and fruit growing, began his activity. He is considered the father of Russian scientific horticulture and gardening. In August 1920, in Goretski Agricultural Institute, the Department of Vegetable and Fruit Growing was created. The Department of Agrichemistry was organized in 1921 by Academician Oscar Kedrov-Zinman, whose works on chemical land reclamation are known worldwide.

The BSAA has been training accounts since 1958. The Faculty of Accounting, as a separate faculty, was created in 1966. Today there are more than 700 full-time students.

Economic education has always been one of the main activities of the Belarusian State Agricultural Academy. According to the Gory-Goretsky Agricultural Institute (1859) regulations, a second-year-student could choose one of the following specialties: agriculture, cattle breeding, economics, and forestry. Thus, our educational establishment in the Russian Empire "Economic" as an independent specialty was first introduced. On November 1st, 2002, Business and Law Faculty was formed through the reorganization of the Economic faculty. There are five departments at the faculty: the Department of Agribusiness, the Department of State and Law History, the Department of History and Cultural Sciences, the Department of Marketing, the Department of Law.
