- Norman Pannell Primary School is an exciting, ambitious school that is determined to achieve the highest standard of educational experiences for every child. We aim to provide a welcoming, supportive environment where children feel safe and secure, enabling them to enjoy their learning every day and strive to reach their full potential. We are fortunate to have a spacious, stimulating school site that offers plenty of scope for extra-curricular activities and a range of opportunities. We believe that the school has a vital role to play in the local community, and we value the relationships between children, staff, parents. These relationships are built on trust and goodwill and are a key ingredient to the school’s inclusive approach. Through our developing curriculum, and with a growing emphasis on children’s Spiritual, Moral, Social, and Cultural awareness (SMSC), we aim to prepare children for the challenges of a rapidly changing, diverse world, developing not only academic intelligence but also the emotional and social skills that will enable them to lead successful, happy lives. Developing personal qualities such as resilience, tolerance, and awareness of local, national, and world events are important aspects of this as we prepare the children for life in 21st century Britain. Everyone has a sense of belonging to the whole school and wider community. Children are happy, healthy, and confident learners. Learning in a safe environment is both enjoyable and challenging. Behaving well and showing respect are expected and valued by everyone in the school community. Children can work hard both independently and with others to achieve. A broad, balanced and differentiated curriculum is inclusive to all learners. Children learn about and appreciate topics relating to their Spiritual, Moral, Social, and Cultural Development. Our visions and values are at the core of everything we do. They underpin our teaching and learning and provide an environment that prepares our pupils as confident, happy citizens. We aim to offer every child a broad and balanced curriculum - suited to their needs - that is vibrant, engaging, and ultimately useful to their future lives. We want to provide academic success coupled with enrichment opportunities that allow each child to explore a range of skills and interests. In addition to core skills such as English and Maths, we promote deep learning within science, the humanities, technology, citizenship, and the arts, developing creative, enquiring minds. Our curriculum offers children the chance to develop healthy bodies and healthy minds. We provide a wide range of high-quality physical education opportunities during and after school, and we have a strong commitment to developing good mental health through activities such as massage and 'Philosophy for Children' (P4C). We want our curriculum to unlock doors, enabling children to feel confident and optimistic about their futures in whatever direction they choose to take. Our curriculum needs to be relevant to the children's local and national context: we want our children to understand their options in life, contribute to society as responsible citizens, and show an understanding of equality and diversity. Our curriculum is designed with the understanding of British Values in mind: Democracy Rule of law Individual liberty Mutual respect for and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs and for those without faith Through differentiation and effective use of assessment, our curriculum is inclusive and tailored to the needs of the school and within it each class, group, and the individual child. The primary aim of Norman Pannell Primary School is to enable all pupils to take part as fully as possible in every part of school life by developing each child’s self-confidence, recognizing their strengths, and encouraging them to achieve their full potential. Norman Pannell Primary School will take steps to advance equality of opportunity, foster good relations and eliminate discrimination or harassment across all the protected characteristics (age, race, gender reassignment, disability, marriage, and civil partnership, religion and belief, pregnancy and maternity, gender, sexual orientation) within the school community. The Early Years department at Norman Pannell is made up of 2 classes: Nursery and Reception. We have a great team of adults who work very hard to ensure that children get the very best start to their education - academically, personally, and socially. The large open-plan Early Years space allows the two classes to be taught separately, but with a close, caring relationship between children and staff. The large outdoor area is shared by both classes.

- Norfolk House School is an independent school in Birmingham for boys and girls between 3 and 11 years of age which prides itself upon academic excellence. The School occupies a beautiful period house which retains much of its original homely atmosphere. It is located on the elegant and leafy Calthorpe Estate, just a few minutes drive from Birmingham city center. We limit our intake, ensuring that class numbers are small enough to allow close personal attention to be given to every pupil, an approach which is reflected in our excellent examination results. The standards of work at Norfolk House School are very high. Our teaching methods uphold traditional values, emphasizing the core areas of English and Mathematics as the essential basis for learning, whilst introducing innovation to further motivate our young learners. Our pupils consistently perform very well in examinations for entry to the many excellent local authority grammar schools in Birmingham and prestigious independent senior schools, the vast majority being offered places at their school of choice. We aim to impart not only a first-rate academic education but also a complete social education that emphasizes good manners, mutual respect, and self-discipline. Norfolk House School is a Christian, non-denominational school, however, our pupils represent a variety of cultures and faiths. At Norfolk House School we are very proud of our outstanding academic record. Being committed to high standards as well as having equally high expectations, our innovative approach encourages the pupils to become not only well-motivated and successful learners but also interesting, rounded individuals. At Norfolk House School we seek to cultivate the minds of our pupils through a shared enthusiasm for diverse subjects and by broadening the curriculum to foster curiosity about the wider world through numerous challenges beyond the classroom. We want our pupils to feel inspired by their learning and eager to find out more. Our caring, family environment enables our staff to forge strong relationships with the pupils. It is only when they feel happy, safe, and relaxed that they can truly thrive and fulfill their potential. - Our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) pupils consistently excel and are better than national figures in Physical Development and Personal, Social, and Emotional development. Our KS1 SATS results show that we excel in all subjects, where our results were above national averages, especially in Maths and Reading at Level 3. At KS2 SATS we have exceeded national averages in all subjects for the last two years and significantly in Mathematics and English Grammar, Punctuation, and Spelling, especially with our children achieving level 6’s. We are a Knowledge Centre for Safeguarding and our workshops and seminars support schools in Harrow and share the excellence at Norbury. We are the leading primary school in the NSPCC PANTS program and lead in Female Genital Mutilation education, working alongside the Azure Project with the Metropolitan Police and we are a case study championed by the Home Office. We lead across the borough in gymnastics, we are Harrow Schools and London Youth Games medallists in many disciplines. All those at Norbury are Norburians whatever age or role, which means we all strive for the best, every day, to be better. Norburians are experts in many religions and we celebrate all together as a community, knowing that knowledge makes us stronger to challenge the negatives in the world in which we live. We value all in our community equally. We are proud to be a world in school learning together. Our Learning Charter demonstrates our pupils are central in their learning, as the Charter was created by them, and staff. All learners have the right to learn, be valued, and listened to. All learners have the responsibility to allow themselves and others to learn, be valued, and listened to. All learners respect the rights and responsibility of themselves and others to learn, be valued, and listened to. Having a go first and then talking about what we have found out. Linking previous learning to new skills and making links across subjects and year groups. We enjoy the opportunities to ‘think, pair, share’. We prefer questions which mean we have to consider facts, opinion, debate and explore to find answers. We want thinking time and for all of us to participate in learning. We accept that learning is a journey that never ends, though has many twists and turns. View full school

- At Norbury Manor Primary School Our priority is to ensure that our pupils receive an excellent education in a nurturing environment that encourages our pupils to Make Every Moment Count. We are dedicated to continuing to build opportunities for pupils to achieve the highest academic standards ensuring that they are known well as individuals and that their unique personalities, talents, and interests are given the opportunities to flourish within and beyond the classroom. We aim to achieve excellence in all areas so that our children, regardless of their starting point, are enthusiastic, independent learners who view the world around them with enquiring minds and give them the resources to be ‘learners today and leaders tomorrow.’ We believe that children whose parents are involved and interested in their learning do well. We involve parents in their children’s learning and encourage them to be active members of the school community. Parent communication is organized to encourage wide participation and honest conversation. We expect all parents to support their children’s educational aspirations and achievements. The school curriculum is designed to match the Early Years Foundation Stage and National Curriculums and is characterized by “Depth to Enable Breadth". Our Curriculum has evolved from Brian Males and Ed Hirsch's ideas of curriculum development and our drive for depth before breadth. The roots of our tree symbolize the key skills and values that will ensure our pupils are stable and have the fundamental skills to turn their dreams into reality. Our trunk symbolizes the strength of their character and the experiences that mold them while the leaves and branches are the concepts the pupils learn throughout their life. As our pupils grow and the seasons change, their knowledge grows, their opinions change, and sometimes their ideas are strengthened. The seed that starts our journey is based on the ‘Talk for Writing’, Busy Ants, and ‘Not as you know it’ curriculum. Our approach aims to engage and motivate our pupils using quality text that is studied over several weeks. Cross-curricular links are made to support children’s understanding of the text. For example, they could be reading the book ‘Carries war and studying World War II in History. View full school

- Nonsuch Primary School is a small friendly school situated in the heart of Stoneleigh on the boundaries of Sutton and Surrey. We are a community school for children aged between 3 to 11 years. The school has a nursery that provides free nursery education for all 3 and 4-year-olds. "Nonsuch is a fun, safe, and creative school that makes hard work fun. We laugh, learn and persevere. We are determined to follow our dreams and be the best we can." Our school vision statement was written by the children of Nonsuch Primary School together with the staff, parents, and governors of our school. The school community has worked together to create our school values. We believe these values help us to work together for the best of everyone in our school community. They determine our distinctiveness. They communicate what is important. They influence our behaviors. They inspire our involvement in school life. Through many aspects of school life, including our school values, we teach the children about the British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and mutual respect for and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs and for those without faith. Learning is at the center of all we do at Nonsuch. Whether the children are pushing boundaries in their learning in the classroom, achieving excellence on the sports field, searching for creepy crawlies in the garden, or showcasing their talent in a musical performance, we are always striving to give all children the best learning opportunities possible. At Nonsuch, whatever your learning style or level of understanding, we work tirelessly to cater for you. Please look through the pages in this section to discover a little bit more about the learning opportunities available at Nonsuch Primary School. Lesson organization varies according to the subject or topic being taught. During the week children take part in whole class, group and individual work. Our staff is experts in deciding upon the most effective teaching strategies for the children in their class to achieve the objectives of the lesson. These might be in the classroom or somewhere else entirely, whether on the school premises or otherwise. Children's understanding and skill development are continually assessed by the class teacher. This may be done through written work, drawing, speaking, observation, play, and discussion. These formative (informal) assessments help the teachers to plan follow-up, extension, or consolidation activities for the children. We also expect our children to engage in thinking about their learning, assessing their strengths and weaknesses, and setting themselves targets to work to achieve. View full school

- Nightingale Primary School cultivates an environment for life-long learning that celebrates the achievement of all children and acknowledges their strengths. We enhance the development of the whole child through high expectations, clear targets, and positive encouragement. We enhance learning by providing an exciting, creative, and culturally relevant curriculum. We enhance the community by working in partnership with parents, professionals, and other agencies. Nightingale has a strong tradition of being supportive and caring. Our school is one where mutual respect, good manners, politeness, and high attendance and achievement is the expectation and this is shared by all our community. The Department for Education has reinforced the need for schools to ‘actively promote’ the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs. This ensures young people understand the importance of respect and leave school fully prepared for life in modern Britain. Nightingale is a diverse school. We actively promote diversity through our celebrations of different faiths and cultures, religious education lessons, curriculum, and choice of text, for example, Shakespeare to Benjamin Zephaniah. Members of different faiths and religions are encouraged to share their knowledge to enhance learning within classes and the school. The children visit places of worship that are important to different faiths. At Nightingale Primary School the Governors strongly support a fully inclusive education, where special needs are appropriately supported and talents nurtured. We attach great importance to the pastoral care of our children and the development of a caring school is something which runs through all we do at Nightingale. If a problem arises at home which affects your child, you are encouraged to discuss the matter with staff. Similarly, a teacher may wish to discuss a problem in school with parents. Of course, all information of this nature will be treated in the strictest confidence. We have very high expectations of our children’s behavior. We aim to develop self-discipline. We have school rules, rewards, and consequences. Positive behavior is rewarded and there are sanctions for unacceptable behavior. View full school

- We are meticulous in our attempt to know and understand the needs of our boys so that we can deliver expert management and teaching of behavior to facilitate high-quality learning experiences. We work with community and family to deliver a curriculum that is varied, stimulating, and sympathetic to the complex needs experienced by the children in our care. We take pride in the development of young people who can take the knowledge and experiences we provide into the next phase of their education or training. We aim to instill community values that enable boys to live healthy and fulfilling lives certain in the knowledge that they have developed the skills and independence necessary to engage fully in an ever more connected and challenging world. Our vision is for Nightingale Community Academy students to leave school as confident learners and participative citizens, having gained the skills, qualifications, and attributes that will enable them to take their place in wider society. Our mission is to provide education, support, and guidance that enable students to learn and achieve, Fulfil their academic potential, Be included in society, Overcome their barriers to learning, Behave and interact appropriately with others, adults and peers and Make appropriate choices. A code of conduct for the way we live together in our school community is drawn up with the children in each classroom and regularly reinforced. The following is our constitution throughout the school. This is shared with parents/carers and students respect me and others and treat everyone with kindness, keep myself and others safe, make good choices that help me to learn, be in the right place at the right time, ask for help and Stop think and then act responsibly. Nightingale Community Academy provides students with a curriculum that is broad and balanced but is also adapted to suit their specific needs. Students come to Nightingale with very different levels of prior education. Many have been out of school or out of the classroom for a significant period before they gain a place at Nightingale all students have one or more Special Educational Need which has hindered their learning in the past, and there are often significant gaps in their learning as a result. Our curriculum, therefore, aims to close these gaps, particularly in the key skills of literacy and numeracy, whilst ensuring that we open the mind of our students to a wide range of knowledge and experiences which will help them to define and achieve their ambitions. At Nightingale Community Academy we take pride in challenging all students to strive for academic, creative, sporting, and personal accomplishment within a broad, vibrant and enriched curriculum. As well as focusing on the National Curriculum for Key Stages 1 and 2, the primary school aims to equip all of its students with the skills necessary for success. At Key Stage 3, students follow the current National Curriculum but, as in the Primary School, the emphasis is on ensuring that students strengthen their literacy and numeracy skills (students have daily sessions in addition to their English and maths lessons) to support their progress across other areas of the curriculum, and to support their move towards independence, both in their learning and their daily lives. The Nightingale Community Academy curriculum at Key Stage 3 is thematic, which allows teachers to plan and adapt lessons to meet the individual needs and interests of the students. Although English, maths, and science are taught discretely, teachers provide rich opportunities for cross-curricular writing, scientific exploration, and applied numeracy skills within the themed topic lessons. Creating and highlighting meaningful links between these core areas of learning and the topic theme provides an opportunity for progression in both breadth and depth of learning. In Key Stage 4, all students continue to study English and maths daily and are entered for suitable qualifications in these core subjects for the vast majority of our students this is the GCSE, however, for some students, this may be a Functional Skills or Entry Level Certificate. In addition to English and maths, there is a broad range of qualifications on offer. Most of our students in Years 10 and 11 will study for the History GCSE and will continue with Science to GCSE, BTEC, or Entry Level. Many of our students stay on roll at Nightingale Community Academy for the Sixth Form. The school can offer a full-time provision for students, or they may choose to study a course at a local college for several days each week and attend Nightingale for pastoral support or extra help with English, maths, or coursework. The full-time offer is comprised of a combination of the following qualifications, tailored to the needs of the student, English, and maths GCSE resits (some students may be sitting these exams for the first time if they have not previously been entered) or Functional Skills qualifications where these are more appropriate to the student’s needs and abilities.
