- Welcome to Oasis Academy Putney, a beautiful, new primary academy that opened in Wandsworth in September 2016. We are a two-form entry, inclusive, non-selective, co-educational community school. Our new academy is founded on the belief that all pupils, regardless of background or ability, can fulfill their potential as they develop aspirations, self-belief, justice, and respect for the community and themselves. We will develop responsible and empowered citizens of the future. We support all pupils, including those with special educational needs, through creative teaching methods and very high expectations. At Oasis Academy Putney we are creating a center of educational excellence for all. It is a healthy, safe, caring environment where the community is paramount and where everyone aims to be the best version of themselves. We value parental and family involvement in the day-to-day life and development of the school as children learn best when we work together. Oasis Academy Putney is situated on the former Putney Hospital site on Putney Common, Lower Richmond Road. The brand new building is designed as an exciting environment for Primary aged children to learn and develop in. It will provide high-quality, purpose-built, safe accommodation with direct access to the wonders of the common. Children will be able to use their environment, inside and out, to develop their confidence, creativity, and social skills whilst feeling safe, loved, and included. Oasis Academy Putney is an inclusive academy for children aged between 4 and 11 (Reception to Year 6), committed to delivering first class-education and playing an active role in the local community. Oasis Academy Putney is driven by a powerful ethos that aspires to treat everyone inclusively and recognizes the importance of a holistic approach to education. As well as continuing to build a strong school and deliver a first-class education, it is also our desire to build an interconnected community, recognizing that educational needs do not exist in isolation from the needs of the whole person. This African saying reflects the importance of the whole community in educating our children. Support goes beyond the classroom and the Academy gate. Parents, carers, families, and other members of the community are invited to be involved in the life of our Academy. At Oasis Academy Putney we aim to: Create a happy, stimulating, caring learning environment where risk-taking and challenge are encouraged. Awaken and nurture a love of learning that will last a lifetime and provide everyone with the skills to pursue that learning independently and collaboratively. Enable everyone to reach the highest standard of which they are capable, academically and in other fields such as sport, arts, and culture. Encourage all learners to develop their interests, passions, enthusiasms, creativity, and individuality. Help learners to understand and care about the world in which they live, and to believe in their ability and responsibility to change that world to make it better. Empower learners to develop a strong sense of right and wrong, good and bad, equality and justice. Give them the inner strength to act according to these values. Provide learners with the skills and understanding to live a healthy, successful life, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Foster respect, tolerance, and love for others, regardless of race, gender, religion, or difference, within a framework of equality of opportunity and fairness. Help learners to appreciate human achievements and aspirations and to believe in their potential to attain great things. Promote a feeling of pride and confidence in learners’ identities as individuals, as members of our academy, as part of the local community, and as citizens of the world. At Oasis Academy Putney, we believe that our children learn best: If we give them a wide experience of different subjects and activities. If we focus on teaching them skills and how to do things. If they are actively involved, interested, and enjoy their learning. Oasis Academy Putney will incorporate the National Curriculum excitingly and creatively that takes into account the latest research on how our children think and learn. We will encourage our learners to achieve their very best and to ensure they develop their skills and talents in all aspects of intellectual, social, moral, spiritual, cultural, and physical development. We will ensure there is a rigorous focus on literacy and numeracy so that all children exceed national expectations. The learning environment will be carefully planned to support the learning and teaching in the core curriculum areas so that children can become independent and motivated learners. Children will be able to access a range of extra-curricular opportunities including breakfast and after-school clubs. Parent/carers will be asked about what clubs their children would like to join before the school starts in September and consulted with before a decision on the choice of clubs is made.
- We are a co-educational, all-inclusive Secondary Academy dedicated to transforming the lives of those within the community we serve. We have had an exciting journey to date. Currently, we are in our temporary home, whilst we are waiting for a permanent site for our future, but we have prioritized student learning. Therefore we are proud to say that we can walk through our halls and smile at the inspirational branding and decoration, state-of-the-art technology, fully functioning science facilities, multi-use technology department, and extensive sports facilities (including basketball, football, table tennis, and a running track). It is within these walls that we have seen and will continue to see our young minds flourish and develop a life-long love for learning that we hope to instill in future cohorts to come. We are at the heart of an amazing community. The Royal Docks is one of the most exciting places to live and work right now – and it is only going to get better! On our doorstep we have the new Siemens Crystal – right across the dock we have the EXCEL center – and just up the road, we have London City Airport. Next door we have the new Silvertown Partnership development, committed to developing the Royal Docks. Next to EXCEL, we have the huge ABP development, which is bringing massive investment from China, and of course, we have the University of East London, one of the top modern universities for research. Just 10 minutes by DLR we have Canary Wharf – one of the world’s top financial centers. All of this on our doorstep! We want our young people – and their families – to benefit from this real wealth of opportunity. We are not alone. In 2011, the Mayor of Newham and the Mayor of London published an exciting Vision for the Royal Docks. We are at the heart of this regeneration. At Oasis Academy Silvertown, our vision is that Oasis Academy Silvertown will transform students’ lives by preparing them for the university or career of their choice and enable them to contribute to their community as leaders. Our mission is simple: “Ready for university. Ready to lead.” We aim to achieve our mission through 5 key principles, held by staff and students: Be Proud. Be Professional. Be Nice. Be Independent. Be Resilient. The Royal Docks are once again emerging as one of Britain’s gateways to the world, and we want our young people and their communities to be equipped with the skills to take advantage of the education, employment, and training opportunities, at the same time developing in our students a sharp awareness of their place in the global economy. We believe that by utilizing the 5 "Be" values in everyday lessons, we can help to better equip our young minds for the world of further study and work. Moreover, we foster strong partnerships with business, community partners, higher education, and primary schools, in addition to international links through Oasis Global partnerships. The relationship we have with you-the parents and carers of our students- is extremely important to us because it’s only by working together, as a team, that your children can achieve their social and educational potential, and become excellent citizens, leading happy and rewarding lives when they leave the academy. We understand that, as parents and carers, nothing is more important to you than ensuring your children have the best opportunities in life so that you can be proud of them. That’s why keeping your children safe and continually stimulated to learn is our top priority. Oasis Academy Silvertown is at the heart of its community and wants to develop all its students to become leaders who will transform and give back to their local community. An outstanding school is where everyone associated with it works together as a team to help your children achieve their academic and social potential so they are ready for university and their dream job. Oasis will develop a community ‘Hub’ around the new Academy in partnership with local statutory, community, and voluntary organizations. Oasis Hubs are centers of activity that provide integrated, high quality, and diverse services to benefit the whole person and the whole community. In Silvertown, drawing on Oasis’ experience of nearly 30 years in family, youth, and community work we will adopt a holistic approach, offering a diverse range of provision to students, their families, and the wider community, for example, holiday clubs, youth groups, debt advice, and a Foodbank. Each student's education is a careful balance between practical training and academic learning. Students at Oasis Academy Silvertown study all the National Curriculum core subjects. We are also developing more innovative approaches to teaching and learning. The Academy operates an inclusive admissions policy, accepting students irrespective of faith or ability.
- Our name, Oasis Academy Foundry, defines us as being part of the Oasis family of schools and a place of learning. One definition of the word academy states that ‘an academy is a society or institution of distinguished scholars and artists or scientists that aims to promote and maintain standards in its particular field’. We are a school dedicated to ensuring that all children in our care are nurtured, inspired, and shown how to achieve, leading to a love of lifelong learning that will enable our pupils to contribute effectively to the world in which we live. Oasis Academy Foundry is a place where our children enjoy learning, respect each other and strive to achieve their potential. Our Academy provides a safe and supportive environment where children and parents are welcome. We provide a wide range of learning opportunities including visits, speakers, and workshops alongside a very active parent body - our 'Hub'. In recognition of our work, we have been honored to receive the School of Sanctuary Award, Gold School Games Award, Investors in Diversity Award, Early Years Quality Mark, Leading Parent Partnership Award and been awarded not only the Inclusion Quality Mark but received Centre of Excellence status which enables us to share our work with other schools and settings across the country. We also have strong links with our partner schools in England and abroad. We are proud to work with Oasis India. Our Academy is one where children come first, where potential is released and ambition embedded. Oasis Academy Foundry is driven by a powerful ethos that aspires to treat everyone inclusively and recognizes the importance of a holistic approach to education. With the new National Curriculum being introduced by the Government this year (2014-2015) we have been working hard to refresh our school approach and provision for pupils. As part of this work, we have decided to implement the new Cornerstones Curriculum, a nationally-recognized approach for delivering outstanding learning opportunities for children.

Our curriculum focuses on teaching the students to develop the basic skills they need to access learning to become independent, lifelong learners. A strong emphasis is placed on the children learning and applying their acquired skills through a creative and contextualized curriculum. The International Primary Curriculum is the vehicle for the children to be able to develop their skills across the curriculum in enjoyable, real-life contexts as part of their learning journey. At Oasis Academy Blakenhale Junior, we believe that children have a right to expect an irresistible curriculum that is fun, motivating, interesting, and most importantly purposeful. We strive to develop imagination through an International Primary Curriculum (IPC) which is stimulating, creative, and encompasses an environment where every child has the opportunity to shine. The curriculum is the totality of every experience we offer our children during their time in our school. The National Curriculum has three broad aims. It should enable all young people to become: Successful learners, who enjoy learning, make progress, and achieve. Confident individuals who can live safe, healthy, and fulfilling lives, with a sense of self-worth and personal identity and the ability to form good relationships with others. Responsible citizens who make a positive contribution to society by valuing and respecting others and the environment and who take an active role in their school and the wider community. - Oasis Academy Blakenhale Infants is a co-educational school, which admits children between the ages of 3 and 7 years situated in Garretts Green, Birmingham. Until January 2013 Oasis Academy Blakenhale Infants was called Blakenhale Infant and Nursery School. The original school was built in 1952. Oasis Academy Blakenhale Infants is a rapidly improving school. Our recent re-design of our EYFS building and internal improvements has allowed us to design a school that fits the needs and purposes of our pupils. We have delightful children who are happy, thoughtful and engaged in their learning. We aim to be at the heart of our community and care about the provision we offer all our pupils. From Nursery to Year 2, each child has the benefit of staff dedicated to encouraging them along the journey of learning and discovery, within the security of a caring atmosphere where all staff in partnership with parents and carers work together. Our link with parents/carers and the wider community is extremely important to us and strengthening these bonds through the development of our community hub and the ongoing activities within the school means we are fully inclusive. Our school has an exciting future ahead – join us on our journey. We believe that at Oasis Academy Blakenhale Infants every single child matters and is valued. We offer equality of opportunity whilst also taking into account individuality. We aim to encourage and support children to enjoy school and to develop the skill of independent learning as part of fostering a culture of life-long growth. We strive to provide an environment in which children are safe, able to achieve, and can therefore achieve their potential. We actively encourage parents, extended family, and community members to work with the academy to support their children. At Oasis Academy Blakenhale Infants we live our Academy Ethos by: Working to ensure that 100% of pupils reach age-related outcomes and many more exceed these. Regularly assessing individual pupil progress and providing tailored intervention where this is not rapid enough. Insisting upon high standards of behavior and effort and supporting these through providing consistency and structure within the academy day. Encouraging every pupil to ‘aim high’ in their career and life expectations through regular discussion of further education opportunities. Providing a variety of cultural experiences for pupils through the provision of external trips and visits and the use of guest speakers at the academy. Ensuring that every staff member is valued as part of the professional academy team. At Oasis Academy Blakenhale Infants our curriculum is designed to meet the needs of our children, with a carefully structured framework in place to ensure that the essential key skills in each subject area are taught and developed. This approach ensures that even our youngest learners begin to develop their tool kit of skills which they can expand as they journey through our academy. Much of our curriculum is taught through topics to make learning experiences more meaningful. These topics are taught using the International Primary Curriculum. Some subjects are taught separately all or some of the time. Subjects may be delivered through a themed week or day or a shorter block, rather than a lesson each week. Throughout the year children will have received a broad and balanced curriculum. There is a whole school focus on providing practical activities, which enable powerful first-hand learning. The curriculum is further enhanced through a range of enrichment activities such as cookery, trips, visitors, specialist workshops, and cultural experiences which promote engagement and enjoyment of learning amongst our children. One of our key enrichment programs is our Sport and PE program. We employ highly trained sports coaches, who support pupils in early physical development (Gross Motor Skills) and fitness in EYFS. This includes developing key skills in a range of sports which are then built upon throughout key stage 1. We also organize whole school enrichment afternoons, which are exciting ways to get our pupils interested in and inspired by the world around them. Building new skills we aim to help our children gain a better understanding of how to be in the wider world.

- Oasis Academy Aspinal is an inclusive academy for children aged between 3 and 11 committing to delivering first class-education and playing an active role in the local community. Parents’ evenings are held termly to discuss your child’s progress. Full reports are issued at the end of each academic year. Every Friday we hold a whole academy assembly to celebrate the week’s achievements. In addition to parents’ evenings, if you have concerns we encourage you to make an appointment at any time during the year to discuss anything connected with your child’s education or wellbeing. Each half term we hold parent and child workshops on a different aspect of the curriculum where parents are allowed to support their children learning in school. Oasis Academy Aspinal is driven by a powerful ethos that aspires to treat everyone inclusively and recognizes the importance of a holistic approach to education. As well as continuing to build a strong school and deliver a first-class education, it is also our desire to build an interconnected community, recognizing that educational needs do not exist in isolation from the needs of the whole person. We pride ourselves on working on developing every child and encouraging them to meet their full potential. We work closely alongside our families and have several opportunities throughout the year for families to attend parent and child workshops so they can support their children in their learning. We are extremely proud of the children at Aspinal and celebrate all their achievements. The admissions policy of Oasis Academy Aspinal is inclusive. We are a non-selective Academy open to pupils of all religious faiths and those of no faith. Admissions at Oasis Academy Academy are coordinated under the Local Authority Admissions Policy via Manchester City council. Children with Statements of Special Educational Needs follow the arrangements set out in the SEN Code of Practice and associated regulations and are not subject to the general admission arrangements. Where a school is named in a child’s Statement of Special Educational Needs or EHCP, the child will be allocated a place before the above criteria are applied. The staff and children at Aspinal have undergone a period of rapid transformation since joining the Oasis family. The Year 6 children achieved 100% Level 4 SATS results in 2015 and we had another fantastic year of results this year. At Oasis Academy Aspinal we believe that learning should be a journey of discovery and excitement. Therefore all staff aims to provide challenging and engaging learning experiences both in and out of the classroom. In a journey, we all need occasional pointers to keep us on the right track so children are given clear guidance about intended learning outcomes and are given ongoing and appropriate feedback on their progress towards those outcomes. This process is known as Assessment for Learning. Learning is also a social activity. It relies on knowledge construction more than knowledge transfer. We regularly use Learning Partners to develop conversations and dialogue about both the task and their learning. As children move through school, they are encouraged to be reflective about the quality of their work and that of their peers. We encourage the development of Cooperative Learning Skills to ensure that pupils can work together as well as independently. Finally, learning is a lifelong activity. We aim to provide appropriate role models for our children by encouraging staff development and learning so that the pupils can see that even the Principal is still learning. We also provide a wide range of opportunities to engage families and the wider community in the learning journey e.g., our successful annual family learning weeks and the partnership we are developing with the local community associations. For pupils to see the value in what they learn, these learning experiences should be firmly rooted in the personal experience of our pupils and our community. A curriculum is how a school agrees on what learning experiences pupils will be offered. Pupils are therefore encouraged to value the wisdom of the past by using local people and places as contexts to learning. Oasis Community Learning (OCL) is a Multi-Academy sponsor and it is legally responsible for 48 Oasis Academies. The Oasis Governance Model is different from the way a governing body of a school operates. There are two parts to the governance of Oasis Academies. Local governance is delivered through the Academy Councils (ACs) and national governance, is delivered through the National Office and the Regional Directors (RDs), on behalf of the Board. Oasis believes that the role of the AC is a vital one because it is essential that people in a local community have the opportunity to discuss and reflect on the purpose of education in society and how it can transform communities. It is therefore really important that the AC understands, has time to think about and ask questions about the Academy’s curriculum, teaching, and learning. We aim to meet the needs of all individuals within our academy. Occasionally some children experience greater difficulties in aspects of their learning than others. These children are offered extra support within their class. These students may be identified as having Special Educational Needs. In line with the Special Educational Needs Disability(SEND) Code of Practice these children are placed on the academy’s SEND register. Their progress is closely monitored and reviewed at regular intervals. Individual Education Plans may be written for children with Special Educational Needs and are reviewed with parents/carers at Parents/carers’ Evenings or by arrangement. If necessary the academy can access many support agencies to help meet their needs.
