Paragon Christian Academy is committed to the belief that learning rather than teaching is a vital issue in education and that learning must be based on scriptural rather than secular principles. Because Biblical truths permeate the Accelerated Christian Education curriculum used, pupils benefit both in terms of academic training and character development. The system is the curriculum of Accelerated Christian Education. We had been following the progress of this curriculum since we first were introduced to it five years before. It is a unique individualized system, which emphasizes learning rather than teaching. That premise, coupled with the Biblical foundation of the …

Classes are not streamed, but for some work, children may be placed in groups that match their stage of development. We currently have one age group per class for Nursery, Reception, Year 1, Year 5, and Year 6. However, we do have mixed-age classes for Years 2/3 and 3/4. We may also mix classes up for certain activities as part of our philosophy of sharing learning and teamwork. As part of our approach to teaching, we try to link projects with educational visits. We have to ask for voluntary contributions from parents to cover the cost of these visits. We always attempt to find ways of keeping these costs to a minimum, but if there are insufficient funds then trips may …

This means we have more control over our curriculum and resources but we remain committed to high-quality non-selective education for local Sutton children and to working in close partnership with secondary and prima…

Visitors to our school invariably comment on the ethos of the school and how the pupils are engaged in their learning. Our pupils smile a lot even when the very best outcomes are asked of them.
