The journey towards adulthood is a search for identity. Every child is searching for a sense of who they are and the sort of adult they want to become. Schools play a role in this journey. Great schools, like Prior Park, help our students to explore who they are and find the adult they wish to be. We do this by providing opportunities. Here, children learn from exceptional teachers in a community where learning is prized and curiosity welcomed. Our young people make friends with others in a school where kindness is central. Our students enjoy a range of cultural and sporting experiences in a community that celebrates success in many areas. We provide an outstanding, round…

Our building work is almost complete and the new Reception class will open in September. We will spend the Summer Term equipping the room ready for our new cohort visits. As I have mentioned at the coffee mornings, in our newsletters, and during parent tours, the plan is to have all 60 children together with two class teachers and two nursery officers. Reception often works in this way at the moment since we put a door between the Newts and Sticklebacks and Niamh and Maria teaching together. We’re excited to have this additional learning space and for Y1 to move to the ground floor with access to an outside classroom! This means some year groups will have a geographical s…
