- At Pontprennau Primary School we have high expectations of children and we do our best to ensure that they are happy and enjoy their time in school. We recognize that every child has different skills and talents and we work hard to ensure that every pupil reaches their potential and develops into a resourceful learner. We also support our pupils in developing confidence and patience, determination, tolerance, and interpersonal skills to help them succeed, not only in school but beyond into adult life in an ever-changing world. Our school promise is that we will offer “A Rainbow of Possibilities”! For us to realize this for pupils and staff alike, and because we are still growing year on year (currently with pupils up to Year 2), we are constantly reviewing everything we do to ensure we continue to offer the best quality of education possible for each individual, whatever their needs. We actively engage in improving as a learning community pupils, their families, staff, and governors continue to move forward together, confident and proud of their achievements to date and with clear ideas about where further improvements can be made. Our success starts with the children and the families we serve, extending to all adults who work with our school: all staff work in partnership to create a climate of learning, supportive relationships, and a stimulating learning environment. This will continue to develop over the coming years. We pride ourselves on being an important part of the local community. We have close links with churches, charities, businesses, and organizations in Pontprennau. We are always looking to build on ways in which we can reach out into the community, as well as welcoming the community to our school. The school benefits from having a specific area that can be used by the pupils and staff during the day, and also by the community outside school hours. View full school
